(FROM THE ARTICLE: Republican consultant Jon Zahm has resurrected a political action committee he started 10 years ago to try to unseat Illinois Supreme Court Justice Thomas Kilbride, who’s up for retention. “I oppose Kilbride because I predicted in 2010 that he would support [House Speaker Michael] Madigan’s power to draw legislative maps gerrymandered to elect Democrats,” Zahm told Playbook. “And in 2016, that’s exactly what [Kilbride] protected when he would not allow the public to vote on the Fair Maps Amendment due to a technicality.” That was a 4-3 vote along party lines with a decision authored by Kilbride. Steve Korris of the Madison-St. Clair Record questions whether Kilbride’s opinion allowed Madigan’s power to go unchecked. Zahm hopes Vote No Kilbride 2020 PAC is more successful than its 2010 iteration. Supreme Court justices need 60 percent of the vote to be retained. In 2010, Kilbride received not quite 66 percent. The GOP politico says he’s put $500 of his own money into the PAC and he expects to run his anti-Kilbride campaign as a grassroots effort with signs and speaking engagements. Zahm’s twin sons, Daniel and Jonah, were born when Kilbride was first elected in 2000 and the boys took part in parades and put up signs with their dad during the last campaign. Now they’re working as field directors in the 2020 effort. “Twenty years is enough,” Zahm said. “He does not need 30.”)

AMERICAN GREATNESS
— The Ruling Class Strikes Back If the aim is merely to survive this “revolution” and win elections, then we have only delayed the cycle a little while longer. – Pedro Gonzalez (DIERSEN: What do you say to those in your municipality, in your township, and in your county a) who have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout, b) who paint themselves as being religious, conservative, and/or Republican, c) but who fail/refuse to speak out against BLM, and d) but who fail/refuse to speak out in support of law enforcement?)
https://amgreatness.com/2020/09/08/the-ruling-class-strikes-back/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: For months, entire city blocks have been defaced, looted, and razed in the name of a racial justice spearheaded by Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Their aim is summarized by far-left activist Ashley Nicole McCray: “This future that we all want, that we’re all trying to build, really is about the destruction of colonization, white supremacy, and capitalism.” But McCray’s is itself a colonial project that seeks to fill with its poison every political and cultural institution in the basin of American life. It also happens to be backed by many in America’s mostly white capitalist class who use racial grievances for their own gain and are used by the aggrieved in turn. Increasingly it appears we are witnessing a ruling class power grab more than a social justice revolution. The elites are striking back directly and through proxies.)
