Stellantis had previously shut the plant down for two weeks in April to evaluate the impact of new 25% U.S. tariffs on imported vehicles. The tariffs, introduced by the Trump administration on April 3, apply to vehicles with a significant amount of non-U.S. content. They’ve already shaken up the North American auto industry, especially for companies like Stellantis that rely on cross-border production. . .But behind the scenes, it’s clear the broader trade environment is weighing heavily. I drove it to Daytona Beach from NIU in 1969 and 1970 for spring breaks. I bought a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T show car in 1994 and owned it until I sold it in 2005 to buy a 2005 Corvette. I bought a new 2013 Dodge Charger R/T Max in 2012 and I continue to own it. I recently bought a new 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T Plus EV.

The car hides under a thick layer of dust that leaves its original color to the imagination. Will it shine and drive again, or should it already be on its way to the scrap yard?
