GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— Pot is poison. In 2019, I led the successful effort to stop the sale of pot in Wheaton. Pot drags you down. I have never used pot and I never will. Did your classmates and coworkers use pot?  What if your classmates had used pot? If my Crete-Monee High School classmates had used pot, my 1966 class ranking would have been higher. If I had used pot, my ACT score and my GPA would have been lower. UIC would not have accepted me in 1966 let alone NIU in 1969, Loyola in 1972, DePaul in 1976, and IIT in 1992. If I had used pot, I would not have passed on my first attempt the CPA examination in 1979 and the Certified Internal Auditor examination in 1981. If I had used pot, I would not have become a licensed CPA in 1981. If I had used pot, none of my employers would have hired me let alone promoted me. Firestone Stores would not have hired me in 1970. IRS would not have hired me in 1971 let alone promoted me in 1972, 1973, and 1974. GAO would not have hired me in 1980 let alone promoted me in 1986. If my IRS and GAO coworkers had used pot, I would have had less competition. I would have been promoted much faster and much higher than I was. – Dave Diersen

— Who is more likely to use pot? From what I see, it is those who have trouble dealing with reality, who have health, financial, and/or other problems, and/or who fall for vices. From what I see, they are more likely to be liberal, Libertarian, Democrat, RINO, minority, female, younger, unmarried, LGBTQ, non-Protestant, non-German American, and/or have ancestors who have not been in America for a long time. The more that you use pot, the sooner that you will crash and burn. – Dave Diersen

DD: Are/were your healthcare insurance premiums subsidized? Ever since I became a part-time postal employee when was 18 in 1966, my critics/opponents have been furious that the federal government has paid 72% of my healthcare insurance premiums. They have been even more furious ever since I got married when I was 29 and the federal government started paying 72% of my wife’s healthcare insurance premiums.
