(FROM THE ARTICLE: This morning, Illinois Republican Party Chairman Don Tracy issued the following statement celebrating the court decision striking down the cashless bail provision in the [Un] SAFE-T Act: “Cashless bail was slated to go into effect across Illinois this Sunday. This law would have severely limited the ability of judges and prosecutors to keep dangerous criminals off of the streets thereby exporting the epidemic of lawlessness we’ve seen in certain parts of Chicago throughout the rest of our state. The Circuit Court ruling which rightly declared it unconstitutional is a win for public safety, and the businesses and residents of Illinois, if upheld by the Illinois Supreme Court. For now, it should serve as a message to Governor Pritzker and Democrat legislators that they can’t subvert our constitutional process by ramming their unpopular and dangerous soft-on-crime policies through the legislature in the dark of night.”)

— Wage Inequality May Be Starting to Reverse. Remote work, deglobalization, stalled technology have started eroding some advantages of higher-skilled workers. The question is whether it will last. – Greg Ip (COMMENT: No one wants people who have been forced to take early retirement. When they forced me to take their early retirement “offer” in 1997 when I was 49 years old, my Democrat GAO superiors rendered the following worthless: a) my almost 18 years of experience working for GAO, the last 11 years of which at the GS-13 Step 1-10 Levels, currently $104,915-$136,170/year, b) my almost 9 years of experience working for IRS, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 Levels, currently $88,229-$99,994/year, c) my master’s degrees in business, accounting, and finance, d) my professional certifications in accounting, internal auditing, fraud examination, government financial management, financial services auditing, and forensic accounting, and e) my CPA license.)

— COMMENT: Democrats say “Good Jobs, Bad Jobs, No Jobs In 2023.” Ever-increasingly, Democrats, Libertarians, Greens, Independents, and RINOs hint/imply/argue/shout that immigrants are more than happy to take bad jobs, and that therefore, the more immigration that there is, the fewer bad jobs that Americans will have to take. According to my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes, all the jobs that I had were bad jobs that they would never stoop to take. I did yard work and delivered newspapers in Crete 1962-1964; washed dishes in Chicago Heights 1964-1966; cleaned golf shoes in Flossmoor and chipped slag and pumped gasoline in South Chicago Heights in 1966; delivered mail in Park Forest 1966-1969; worked on an automobile assembly line in Belvidere and as a security guard in DeKalb in 1970, sold tires, automotive services, and major appliances in Chicago Heights 1970-1971, pumped gasoline in Chicago Heights 1971-1972, collected delinquent taxes in Chicagoland 1971-1980, and audited federal agencies 1980-1997.)

— “Jealousy” vs. “Envy”: Can You Feel The Difference?
