DAILY HERALD
— FRONT PAGE TOP OF FOLD: HARDCOPY ARTICLE TITLE: Election outreach scaled back across suburbs – Lauren Rohr
(DIERSEN: What will your Republican Precinct Committeeman/Captain do to help elect the Republican candidates on the April 6, 2021 ballot in your precinct? I will hand-carry the following to all the homes in my precinct that have at least one registered Republican voter: copy of the sample ballot for the precinct, campaign literature that Republican candidates provide me, and information on mail-in voting and early voting. In addition, I will try to get yard sign locations. Factors that discourage me from endorsing candidates in non-partisan races include their not providing me with campaign literature to distribute. Further, it would be great if they would answer the following questions: If elected, would you encourage or discourage promotion of the following: a) reparations, b) BLM, c) LGBTQ, d) dependency on government, e) dependency on charity, f) abortion, g) mass/illegal immigration, h) booze, gambling, pot, and other vices, i) more gun controls, j) patronage, k) political affiliation discrimination, l) reverse discrimination, and m) age discrimination? I do not want to endorse a school board candidate who might encourage children to be LGBTQers. Further, according to my critics/opponents, candidates should not seek/accept my help because I am “too conservative” and even worse things.)
https://www.dailyherald.com/news/20210310/early-mail-in-voting-in-2021-a-completely-different-situation-compared-to-general-election
(FROM THE ARTICLE: In DuPage County, between 15% and 19% of registered voters typically cast ballots in consolidated elections, compared to the nearly 77% turnout reported in 2020, County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek said. The long lines of people waiting to vote early at the DuPage County Fairgrounds last fall are currently nonexistent, she said, with only a handful of voters showing up each day.)

CRAIN’S CHICAGO BUSINESS
— Want to buy a home? Illinois will pay off your student loans – DENNIS RODKIN
(DIERSEN: I bought a new town home in University Park September 1972 when I was 24 years old. The down payment came from what I had earned a) working for the Firestone Store in Chicago Heights full-time August 1970-March 1971 and part-time since March 1971 and b) working for IRS in Chicago and then Harvey since June 1971. That money also enabled me to buy a new 1972 Corvette in October 1971 and to pay tuition and books for graduate business courses at Loyola starting in January 1972. I had graduated debt-free from NIU August 1970 owning a 1969 Dodge Charger SE. The money for tuition, books, and room and board came from what I earned delivering mail for the Park Forest Post Office November 1966-September 1969.)
