— Sen. Ron Johnson to Newsmax: How Bad Does It Have to Get to Vote Dems Out? – Eric Mack (COMMENT: What do you say to the following “Republicans” in Illinois who pander to the Democrat news media in Illinois by doing everything that they can a) to stop me from sending out GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters and b) to stop everyone from reading those newsletters: activists, party leaders, and candidates and their major donors, political consultants, fundraisers, pollsters, campaign managers, campaign staff members, and campaign volunteers ?)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: “I mean, you’ve got 40-year high inflation, record gas prices, skyrocketing crime, open border of flooded deadly drugs: I just call the list of horribles. It doesn’t get much worse than that. “And yet Democrats just kind of shrugged it all off.” Notably, having the mainstream media siding with the Democrats has obscured the narratives in elections, Johnson lamented to hosts Rob Schmitt. “It’s not a fair fight,” he said. “It’s not a level playing field. We have a mainstream media that, really, they’re not journalists – so many of them are advocates for the left.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Illinois GOP chairman Don Tracy is among those reviewing the game films. He says in the year and a half he has been on the job, he has learned change comes slowly. “It takes time to turn around a situation like this, where you have entrenched incumbents who are funded by very powerful special interests,” said Tracy. Looking for positives, Tracy added, “We made a little progress. We won that one (Illinois) Senate seat,” referring to the win by Erica Harriss of Glen Carbon over appointed State Sen. Kris Tharp (D-Bethalto). “Four years ago (Gov. JB) Pritzker beat (then-Gov. Bruce) Rauner by 17 percentage points; this year he beat (State Sen. Darren Bailey (R-Xenia)) by twelve percentage points. Pritzker got 400,000 fewer votes this year than he got four years ago.” Much of it, Tracy says, comes back to money. Two recent mega-funders, Rauner and investor Ken Griffin, lost interest and moved to Florida.)

BRENNAN CENTER

https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/key-2022-state-supreme-court-election-results-and-what-they-mean
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Illinois Democrats won at least one of the two partisan elections for the Illinois Supreme Court. Judge Elizabeth Rochford (D) defeated former Sheriff Mark Curran (R), while Judge Mary K. O’Brien (D) held a narrow lead over Justice Michael Burke (R) as of the time of publication with 92 percent of precincts reporting. Justice Mary Jane Theis (D) also won her retention election. As a result, Democrats will either maintain their 4–3 majority or grow to a 5–2 majority on the court — a majority they have held since the 1970s. In 2020, Illinois Republicans created an opportunity to vie for a majority on the state high court in 2022 by successfully waging the most expensive anti-retention election ever to unseat Justice Thomas Kilbride (D). A lower court judge, Robert Carter (D), was appointed by the state supreme court on an interim basis, with Kilbride’s seat opening for a competitive election in 2022. Following Kilbride’s defeat, the legislature redrew the state’s judicial districts, and both of this year’s elections were viewed as competitive. Recent Illinois Supreme Court decisions that have broken down along partisan lines include rulings about pension reform, redistricting, and workers’ compensation. The campaign In their campaigns, Democratic candidates and groups on the political left emphasized the role that the Illinois Supreme Court may play in determining abortion rights in the state in the wake of Dobbs. In September, the Illinois Republican Party accused O’Brien of misrepresenting Burke’s views in an ad that said he “agreed with the decision to overturn Roe.” In 2013, the Illinois Supreme Court ruled that the state constitution protected abortion rights to the same extent as the federal constitution, an approach that puts those protections in question after Dobbs. Republican candidates and conservative groups, for their part, tried to tie Democratic candidates to Mike Madigan, the former Illinois speaker of the house, who was indicted for bribery and racketeering this year. These elections were likely the most expensive judicial elections in the country this year, with Republican candidates receiving millions in independent spending by Illinois billionaires Ken Griffin and Richard Uihlein and Democratic candidates receiving millions in independent support from labor unions and progressive groups as well as large donations from Gov. J.B. Pritzker.)

— On who/what will anti-conservative Democrat plant, Libertarian plant, Green plant, Independent plant, and RINO leaders of the Illinois Republican Party, your Republican county party organization, and your Republican township/ward party organization blame November 8, 2022 Republican election losses? They will blame those who do not share their hatred against Trump and especially those who share Trump’s demographics: conservative, Republican, White, male, older, married, non-poor, draft-avoider, Protestant, German American, and/or those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time. They will blame the following planks in the Republican Party platform and those like me who support those planks: individual responsibility, traditional marriage/family, right to life, immigration, illegal drugs, Second Amendment, and/or equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving). – Dave Diersen

RE/MAX
— FOR SALE: 1286 Wood Street, Crete, Illinois 60417 – $99,900 (COMMENT: If your childhood home is suffering from deferred maintenance, why is that? My childhood home (1286 Wood Street in Crete) is suffering from deferred maintenance because those who have lived in it have had less money. My grandparents on my father’s side had the home built in 1926 and lived in it until 1954. Their daughter (my aunt) lived in it 1930-1954. Their son (my father) lived in it 1926-1945 and 1954-1969. My mother lived in it 1954-2016. I lived in it 1954-1972. My brother lived in it 1954-2022. While I am a hoarder, as you can see from the pictures, my brother was much more of a hoarder. An estate sale is planned for December. My grandparents and my parents had less money because my father fought brittle type 1 diabetes from childhood. Because of that, he never attended college and never earned more than $50,000/year in today’s dollars. My mother never attended high school, and because of that, she stayed home and raised my brother and I and she did not earn any kind of salary until after her husband died in 1969. My mother’s income has always been very limited. Because of the aforesaid, my application for a financial hardship draft deferment was approved in 1971. Further, my brother’s income has always been very limited. Further, tragically, negative trends in the home’s neighborhood and in Crete have discouraged maintenance. In relative terms, average household income and home value have dropped substantially. Consequently, I have agreed to offer the home for sale for far less than the value that Zillow and the tax assessor give it. While it has four bedrooms, a full basement, two-car detached garage, and an outstanding concrete front porch, it has only one bathroom. I hope that the purchaser replaces all of the home’s plumbing and electricity, insulates its walls, adds central air conditioning, replaces its front concrete steps, replaces its garage doors, replaces its roof, replaces its storm windows and screens, replaces its living room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, and bathroom floor coverings, replaces its kitchen sink, refrigerator and stove, replaces its toilet, sink, and bathtub, etc.)
