While I worked for the federal government 1966-1969 and 1971-1997, virtually all my superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates were Democrats and most of them veterans and at times virtually all of them were veterans. To turn veterans against me, my Democrat superiors stressed to them that I avoided the Vietnam War draft with student deferments 1966-1970 and with a financial hardship deferment 1970-1971. They stressed to them that if I had not done that, I would not have been able to a) buy a new 1968 Oldsmobile 442 in 1967, buy a new 1969 Dodge Charger SE in 1968, buy a new 1972 Corvette in 1971, etc., b) earn a bachelor’s degree from NIU in 1970, earn an MBA from Loyola in 1976, pass the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, earn a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul in 1980, pass the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt in 1981, become a licensed CPA in 1981, etc. c) buy a new town home in University Park 1972, buy a studio condo in downtown Chicago in 1974, and buy a one bedroom condo in downtown Chicago in 1976, d) get married in 1978 and buy a home in Wheaton with my wife in 1978, e) get promoted to GS-9 (currently $63,633/year) in 1972, GS-11 (currently $76,990/year) in 1973, and GS-12 (currently $92,279/year) in 1974, and f) go on vacations to Florida, Bahamas, Hawaii, Mexico, and Jamaca 1969-1976. I should write a book about my Democrat superiors and supervisors who were veterans and who took the most/biggest adverse actions against me.)
