— Democrats stop Republicans from helping sponsor Wheaton’s 2021 Independence Day parade and fireworks – Dave Diersen

(THE ARTICLE: Since 2005, Republicans have helped sponsor Wheaton’s Independence Day parades and fireworks, but this year, Democrats stopped that.

Next, of course, Democrats will stop Republican candidates and the Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) from having entries in the parades.

Democrats can stress that none of the following have spoken in opposition to Democrats stopping Republicans from sponsoring Wheaton’s 2021 Independence Day parade and fireworks: a) MTRO leaders Chris LeVan, Chairman; Yadav Nathwani, Vice Chairman; John Monino, Secretary; and Beth Tatro, Treasurer; b) DuPage County Republican Central Committee leaders Jim Zay, Chairman; Deanna Wilkins, Honorary Chairman; Paul Hinds, Secretary; and Gwen Henry, Treasurer; and c) Illinois Republican Party leaders Don Tracy, Chairman; Mark Shaw, Co-Chairman; Mike Bigger, Secretary; Judy Dieklman, Treasurer; and 18 State Central Committee members including Bob Grogan.

Further, Democrats can stress that MTRO Secretary John Monino spoke very strongly during Wheaton’s June 7, 2021 City Council meeting in favor of Michael Bernard, the Wheaton Park District Executive Director, who has successfully led the effort to stop Republicans from helping sponsor Wheaton’s 2021 Independence Day parade and fireworks.

As I have done since 2005, I again stand ready, willing, and able to again raise $2,500 from DuPage Republicans so that they can again be the top sponsor for Wheaton’s Independence Day parade and fireworks.

Sadly, so far, I have not been able to confirm that the Wheaton Park District has contracted with bagpipers or Wheaton high school bands to march in the parade.

The following Republicans donated money to help sponsor Wheaton’s 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and/or 2019 Independence Day parades and fireworks: Michael Barbier, Bob Berlin, Peter Breen, Liam Brennan, Fred Bucholz, Roger Claar, Mike Connelly, Dan Cronin, David Diersen, Grant Eckhoff, Tim Elloitt, Paul Fullerton, Amy Grant, Chris Heidorn, Gwen Henry, Paul Hinds, Babette Holder, Jeanne Ives, Robert Jacobsen, Richard Jorgensen, Chris Kachiroubas, Marty Keller, Mark Kmiecik, Mark Kirk, Brian Krajewski, Bob Larsen, Robert Lyon, Jeff MacKay, Deanne Mazzochi, Paula McGowen, James Mendrick, Dave Molitor, John Monino, Chris Nybo, Karyn Romano, Evelyn Sanguinetti, Peter Roskam, Darlene Ruscitti, Phil Suess, Brian Telander, John Vires, Ann Celine Walsh, Tim Whelan, Kevin Wiley, Karen Wilson, John Zaruba, and Jim Zay.)

(DIERSEN: In 1970, when I was 21 years old, when I graduated from NIU with a bachelor’s degree in management, potential employers saw me as being draft bait. They did not believe that my application for a financial hardship draft deferment would be approved. Starting in 1966, when I was 18 years old, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have used my avoiding the draft against me big time. I should write a book about that.)

— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Mike Fortner files unpopular lawsuit. I should write a book about the unpopular lawsuits that I filed and who those lawsuits were most unpopular with. They include Diersen v.GAO. That lawsuit was unpopular a) with those who reject the equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) plank in the Republican Party platform, b) with those who promote age discrimination, and c) with those who promote political affiliation discrimination.

(FROM THE ARTICLE; The bill would limit employers to “bona fide” factors such as education, training and experience when justifying pay differentials in wage discrimination claims. Employers would also be prohibited from retaliating against workers who compare salaries and barred from inquiring about prospective employees’ salary histories during the hiring process. The bill would further direct the Labor Department to establish a grant program providing negotiation skills and training for girls and women.)
