GALESBURG REGISTER MAIL
— Democrats help workers – Jerry Ryberg, Galesburg  (DIERSEN: Are/were you a worker? I was a worker 1964-1997. My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always demonized me, denigrated me, and condemned me as being a failed but overpaid worker. To qualify myself for better paying jobs, I earned a) a job-related bachelor’s degree when I was 21 in 1970 and job-related master’s degrees when I was 27, 31, and 48, b) job-related professional certifications when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 47, and 48, and c) a job-related professional license when I was 32.)

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/cortneyobrien/2017/09/09/top-republican-slams-dojs-terrible-decision-n2379041
(FROM THE ARTICLE: “I have the utmost respect for Attorney General [Jeff] Sessions, but I’m troubled by his Department’s lack of action to fully respond to our request and deliver accountability,” Brady said in a statement. Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) was just as peeved, calling the DOJ’s decision a “miscarriage of justice.” This is the second time Lerner has escaped accountability for the Tea Party-targeting scandal. Back in 2015, she was cleared of charges. An investigation found rampant “mismanagement” within the IRS, but no evidence of criminal activity.)

GOPUSA
— Obama raised ‘Dreamers’ hopes with unconstitutional executive order (DIERSEN: What raised your hopes? For me, it was federal civil service protections. Because I have always been a Republican, were it not for federal civil service protections, a) the Post Office would NOT have hired me in 1966 or let me work there for almost 3 years, b) IRS would NOT have hired me in 1971 or let me work there for almost 9 years, c) IRS would NOT have promoted me in 1972, 1973, or 1974, d) GAO would NOT have hired me in 1980 or let me work there for almost 18 years, and e) GAO would NOT have promoted me in 1986.)
