— OUTSTANDING! At the DuPage County Finance Committee meeting Tuesday morning, June 13, 2017, no motion was made to recommend lifting the county’s ban on video gambling in unincorporated areas. During the public comment period, those who spoke in favor of keeping the ban included Bill Bryan, Kathy Gilroy, Heidi Holan, Luke Holan, and me. During county employee Chad Shaffer’s presentation concerning video gambling, county board members asked many questions and expressed their views concerning the issue. Many thanks to those county board members who would have voted against recommending lifting the ban if a motion had been made.
