WALL STREET JOURNAL
— Trump Receives Oval Office Briefing on Derivatives Rules – Andrew Ackerman (DIERSEN: What do you know about derivatives regulation? In 1997, I knew as much about derivatives regulation as anyone at GAO. GAO audits federal financial industry regulators. All during my last 8 years at GAO, I worked on audits that involved derivatives regulation at the GS-13 Step 4-10 levels, currently $106,044-$125,325. Two of the GAO reports that I worked on are at http://www.gao.gov/assets/160/154342.pdf (FINANCIAL DERIVATIVES: Actions Needed to Protect the Financial System) and at http://www.gao.gov/assets/160/156011.pdf (OTC DERIVATIVES: Additional Oversight Could Reduce Costly Sales Practice Disputes). I earned a master’s degree from IIT in financial markets and trading in 1997. I became a Certified Financial Services Auditor in 1996. GAO wasted my knowledge of derivatives regulation when it forced me to retire in 1997. GAO would not have done that if I had been a Democrat, a minority, a woman, younger, or a veteran.)

GOVERNMENT EXECUTIVE
— The Low Rate of Firing Government Employees is Not a ‘Positive Sign’ – Stewart Liff (DIERSEN Should I write a book about those who hint/imply/argue/shout that I must be the worst of the worst a) because my Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, did not promote me beyond GS-13, got rid of my mentor in 1987, kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forced me to take an $19,203 pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980; b) because my Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, got rid of my mentor in 1975, and disallowed my partial day per diem claims in 1974; and c) because my Democrat Post Office superiors forced me resign in 1969 and disallowed my sick leave requests in 1969 and 1968?)

FEDERAL TIMES
— Will Congress cut federal employee benefits to help balance the budget? – Jessie Bur (DIERSEN: I should write a book about those who claim to be religious, conservative, and/or Republican a) who did not want the Post Office to hire me in 1966 or let me work there for almost 3 years, b) who did not want IRS to hire me in 1971, promote me in 1972, 1973, or 1974, or let me work there for almost 9 years, c) who did not want GAO to hire me in 1980, promote me in 1986, or let me work there for almost 18 years, d) who want my Civil Service Retirement System pension to be cut or eliminated, e) who want my federal health, dental, and vision subsidies to be cut or eliminated, f) etc. They are filled with hatred of federal employees. They are filled with hatred of federal retirees.)
