If he had not gone on extended sick leave because of his heavy drinking 1985-1987, he would have succeeded in a) stopping me from being assigned to any audits of IRS in 1986 and b) stopping me from getting promoted to GS-13 in 1986. He disapproved of my demographics, especially that I was conservative, Republican, draft-avoider, Protestant, 100% German American, my ancestors had been in America since 1844, I lived in Crete 1948-1972, and I lived in Wheaton since 1978.
