Among many things, I would stress political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, and age discrimination in the federal government. I would stress that the Democrats who ran the Post Office in 1966, IRS in 1971, and GAO in 1980 hired me because they could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, younger person, or veteran who would take the job. I would stress that because I have always been a Republican, my Democrat superiors in the federal government wasted my career and forced me to retire when I was 49 years old in 1997. I would stress that my Democrat Post Office superiors forced me to resign when I was 20 years old in 1969. I would stress that I earned a bachelor’s degree in business when I was 21 years old in 1970. In today’s dollars, my IRS Revenue Officer starting salary was $56,409/year (GS-7) in 1971. It was $68,999/year (GS-9) in 1972. It was $83,482/year (GS-11) in 1973. It was $100,059/year (GS-12) in 1974. The IRS manager who promoted me those three times was impressed by my taking graduate evening business courses at Loyola. None of my coworkers were doing anything like that. My Democrat IRS superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates were furious. According to them, those promotions should have been given to my coworkers were Democrat, minority, female, and/or veteran. To get rid of me, my Democrat IRS superiors got rid of the IRS manager who had promoted me. They disallowed my travel vouchers in 1974. They ignored/dismissed/belittled my earning an MBA from Loyola in 1976. They disallowed my education deductions in 1978. They ignored/dismissed/belittled my passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979. They ever-increasingly made it clear that they would never promote me to GS-13. GAO audits IRS. Because of the aforesaid adverse actions, I took a $23,699/year (21%) pay cut, a downgrade from GS-12 Step 5 ($113,402/year) to GS-9 Step 10 ($89,703/year), to transfer to GAO in 1980. My Democrat GAO superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates were furious. According to them, I should have had to take a $72,701/year (64%) pay cut to transfer, a downgrade from GS-12 Step 5 to GS-4 Step 1 ($40,701/year). They succeeded in delaying my promotion to GS-13 ($118,984/year) until 1986. They never would have promoted me to GS-13 if I had not a) earned a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul in 1980, b) passed the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt in 1981, and c) became a licensed CPA in 1981. I have been fighting age discrimination since I was 25 in 1973. My Democrat IRS superiors used “up-or-out” to waste my career and get rid of me. According to them, if they had not promoted me to GS-13 by the time I was 25, I was forever too old to be promoted to GS-13. Of course, they applied that rule only to Republicans like me. They forced the IRS manager to transfer to Dallas who had promoted me to GS-9 in 1972, GS-11 in 1973, and GS-12 in 1974. They disallowed my travel vouchers in 1974 and my education deductions in 1978. They ignored/dismissed/belittled my earning an MBA in 1976 and my passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979. Because of the aforesaid, I transferred to GAO in 1980. The Democrats who ran GAO finally promoted me to GS-13 when I was 38 in 1986. But that was not until after I had earned a master’s degree in accounting in 1980, I had passed the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt in 1981, I had become a licensed CPA in 1981, and I had been assigned to audits of IRS in 1986. I never would have made GS-13 at GAO if the GAO manager who had arranged my transfer not gotten back into power in 1985. They forced him to retire in 1987.

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Bipartisan congressional leaders are set to recommend candidates to President Donald Trump to replace Gene Dodaro, the comptroller general of the Government Accountability Office (GAO), for the first time in nearly 20 years, Politico reported Tuesday. Orice Williams Brown, a longtime GAO employee, is stepping in to lead the more than 3,000-person agency in an acting capacity as Congress searches for a sober and judicious nominee to serve the 15-year term. If approved by the Senate, the new comptroller general would oversee the agency as it investigates whether the Trump administration illegally withheld billions of dollars in 2025. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told the outlet that lawmakers will be looking for “someone who’s honest.” “I think it would be a mistake to get somebody who’s been real active in political processes,” Paul said. By law, Paul, who chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, holds a seat on a bipartisan group of 10 lawmakers responsible for recommending at least three possible candidates for the president to nominate. Although Paul and several Republican colleagues have expressed appreciation for the GAO’s work, the comptroller general has recently faced pressure to sue the Trump administration over withheld federal funds. That pressure intensified after the Supreme Court suggested this fall that the GAO head may be the only party with legal standing under long-running impoundment law. Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., who will also serve on the panel, outlined his expectations for the role earlier this month, saying the next comptroller general must be “willing to call balls and strikes regardless of which party occupies the White House.” Peters added that Dodaro is leaving behind “a legacy of tremendous credibility, integrity, and independence.” The Senate panel will include Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D.; Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.; and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who serves as president pro tempore. The House delegation will feature Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La.; Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La.; Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.; Rep.
