(FROM THE ARTICLE: The Chicago Republican Party has filed a complaint with Chicago Public Schools and is considering suing over an anti-gun violence student walkout Wednesday morning it calls “political” and an “indoctrination.” Chicago Public Schools CEO Janice Jackson has publicly given her approval and support for the district-wide walkout, which a Chicago GOP Chairman says has turned into an administration-organized event not a “student walkout.” Chris Cleveland, chairman of the Chicago GOP, pointed to an email sent by an elementary school principal that gave parents of young students instructions on the walkout and the option of making posters. Students across the country were holding a walkout on Wednesday to protest gun violence and to call for gun control measures on the one-month anniversary of the Parkland school shooting that left 17 people dead. The GOP chairman said the school district seemed to be coercing students to take part in the demonstrations. “It’s appalling that 10 to 14 year old kids would be coerced, by their teachers, to participate in a political demonstration,” Cleveland wrote in a statement. “A 10-year-old kid isn’t going to have an informed opinion on these political matters, and shouldn’t be expected to have the fortitude to hold a different opinion from everyone else in his or her classroom. This is political indoctrination, pure and simple.” CPS Inspector General Nicholas Schuler told Fox News the district received the complaint and is evaluating it. The Chicago Public Schools and the CEO’s office have not returned calls from Fox News seeking comment. Last year, more than 650 people were murdered in Chicago. In 2016, nearly 800 were killed, many of whom were teens, some under the age of 12. A CPS spokesperson said they could not recall a district condoned walkout for the city’s own gun violence and homicide rate.)

His legal experience, independence and willingness to engage with conservative grassroots activists speaks volumes. Unfortunately, Harold has avoided publicly answering questions from conservative organizations, including failing to respond to candidate surveys from pro-life organizations in the state. It is frustrating to observe her answer questions from liberal media sources but refuse to answer questions (and questionnaires) from pro-life and pro-family groups. Their differences were dramatically different when they were asked about defending unconstitutional and tyrannical Illinois laws that force medical professionals to give abortion referrals (SB 1564) or ban professional therapists from helping minor children with unwanted same-sex attraction or gender confusion (HB 217). Even after pointing out that the next Attorney General will take an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution and Illinois State Constitution, Harold said she would defend the laws of the state whereas Grasso indicated that he did not think those laws were constitutional. Moreover, it is troubling to read or hear her interviews in the media (WBEZ for example) and listen to her give politically correct or even liberal responses to questions. The Chicago Sun-Times reported last month that Harold “believes Illinois should start ‘exploring’ [marijuana] legalization.” In the WBEZ interview, Harold waves the white flag of surrender, saying that she believes that recreational marijuana is “inevitable.” Finally, the fact that Harold has aligned herself with Bruce Rauner and his campaign apparatus is indicative of the establishment politics we’ve come to loathe in Illinois. We simply do not need another squishy establishment type in the Illinois GOP. Please make every effort to cast your ballot on or before March 20th to ensure that the best candidates are nominated. Arthur Jones was going house to house in the southwest suburb on Oct. 5, rounding up signatures for his primary election petition for Congress. Voters signed it after Jones told them he was hoping to run as a Republican against Democrat Rep. Dan Lipinski in the 3rd Congressional District. What Jones didn’t say is that he’s an avowed anti-Semite, Holocaust denier and the former leader of the New American Nazi Party. “He seemed like a nice guy,” said Michal Bodyziak, whose wife, Anna, signed her name to the petition. Now Jones is the sole GOP candidate in the 3rd District on the primary ballot March 20, which means he is on track to be the Republican Party nominee in the November general election. On a 10-degree evening last week, residents in Bridgeview opened their doors once again to tell a Chicago Sun-Times reporter how Jones went about collecting some of the 603 signatures he needed. Of the six people who agreed to be interviewed, none had heard of Jones until he rang their doorbells. Jones, 70, of Lyons, is now the subject of national and international news after the Sun-Times reported on Feb. 4 that the he was poised to clinch the nomination. In an interview with the Sun-Times, Jones has said he’s in charge of an organization called the American First Committee, whose membership is limited to “any white American citizen of European, non-Jewish descent.” But while he was collecting signatures, Jones didn’t mention any of that. “He just told us he was all about the people,” Michal Bodyziak said. Bodyziak said he and his wife are immigrants from Poland. Jones didn’t say that he denies there was a Holocaust in which 6 million Jews died, many of them in Poland. “No, he said none of that,” Anna Bodyziak said. According to her husband, Jones said he “wanted to help the state make everything better, lower taxes and that.
