— College of DuPage OKs settlement with former administrators – Robert Sanchez  (DIERSEN: I saw no evidence that Republican U.S. Senators or Republican U.S. Representatives who represented Illinois while Chennareddy, et al. v. GAO was pending (1987-?) (http://www.leagle.com/decision/In%20FDCO%2020120402879/CHENNAREDDY%20v.%20DODARO) or while  Diersen v. GAO was pending 1998-2005 (https://gopillinois.com/documents/) urged GAO to settle. Their not urging GAO to settle can be taken that a) they reject the equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) plank in the Republican Party platform, b) they promote age discrimination, c) they promote patronage, d) they promote political affiliation discrimination, and/or e) they promote retaliation for complaining about the aforesaid. Their not urging GAO to settle continues to be used by my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes to hint/imply/argue/shout that the following adverse actions that GAO took against me were justified: forcing me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, always ranking me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, not promoting me beyond GS-13, keeping me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forcing me to take an $18,847 pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980.)

FEDERAL NEWS RADIO
— Where is the federal workforce, and why does that matter? – Jeff Neal  (DIERSEN: How many federal employees and federal retirees are there in your precinct, in your municipality, in your township/ward, in your county, and in Illinois?)
https://federalnewsradio.com/commentary/2017/06/where-is-the-federal-workforce-and-why-does-that-matter/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: When you look at the map, you can see a couple of things. The first is obvious. There is a large concentration of federal employees in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. In Maryland, for example, the number of federal jobs equals 2.17 percent of the population. It is in the national capital region, so that is to be expected. What may be more surprising is the ratio in middle America, Alaska and Hawaii. In Alaska, the number is 1.48 percent. Other states with high ratios of federal jobs/population are Hawaii (1.55 percent), New Mexico (1.05 percent), Oklahoma (0.97 percent), South Dakota (0.96 percent) and other states in the center of the country.)

http://time.com/money/4825116/how-much-money-wealthy/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: These days, having $1 million just isn’t “wealthy” enough.  A recent survey of over 1,000 Americans shows the bar has shifted higher. Now you need an average of $2.4 million to be considered a wealthy person in America, according to the survey by Charles Schwab, which surveyed Americans aged 21 to 75. Of course, few people achieve such a milestone. Only about 10% of Americans are worth $1 million or more, according to a 2017 report by investor research firm Spectrem Group. In fact, to be considered wealthy by this new criteria, you’d need to have about 30 times more than the approximately $80,000 net worth of the average U.S. household, according to the most recent data collected by the U.S. Census Bureau.)

June 17 Morning Edtion

GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— In 2018, which Republican candidates are going to run for federal, state, and county offices in DuPage County?  Who does Rauner want to run for Attorney General, Comptroller, Secretary of State, and Treasurer?  I urge all of them to have an entry in Wheaton’s 2017 Independence Day Parade. SEE:
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2017-independence-day-celebration-parade-entry-tickets-31882733113  So far, Bob Berlin for State’s Attorney, Peter Breen for State Representative, Grant Eckhoff for County Board, Jeanne Ives for State Representative, James Mendrick for County Sheriff, Peter Roskam for Congress, and Milton Township Republican Central Committee have entries. This year, for the 12th year in a row, I have sought donations from Republicans so that “DuPage Republicans” can again be one of the two $2,500 “Star” sponsors and again sponsor the Wheaton high school bands and the Tunes of Glory Pipes and Drums parade entries and again have a booth at the July 3 fireworks.  Outstandingly, again this year Tim Whelan will coordinate Republican use of the booth at the fireworks. This year again, I will hand deliver flyers to the residences and businesses on the parade route that will list the Republican entries in the parade and the Republicans who helped sponsor entries. Outstandingly, the flyers will be printed courtesy of Alpha Graphics. This year, outstandingly, Roger Claar is a $500 contributor, Chris Nybo is a $250 contributor, Phil Suess is a $150 contributor, and Bob Berlin, Peter Breen, Mike Connelly, Grant Eckhoff, Tim Elliott, Amy Grant, Gwen Henry, Paul Hinds, Jeanne Ives, Marty Keller, Paula McGowen, Deanne Mazzochi, James Mendrick, Peter Roskam, Darlene Ruscitti, and Tim Whelan are $100 contributors. Please plan on watching the 22-minute fireworks Monday evening July 3 at Graf Park, and stopping the DuPage County Republicans booth.  Please plan on watching the parade on Tuesday morning July 4 or walking in the parade with one of the Republican entries. If you want to walk with one of the Republican entries, I suggest being at the staging area on north Main Street at 9:00 AM.  SEE: https://wheatonparkdistrict.com/events/july4/ – Dave Diersen

Those paying $2,500 or more per person will gain access to a special hourlong reception prior to the general reception cattle call. Along with Rauner, scheduled to attend are Republican U.S. Reps. Peter Roskam of Wheaton, Randy Hultgren of Plano, Adam Kinzinger of Channahon, Rodney Davis of Taylorville, John Shimkus of Collinsville, Darin LaHood of Peoria and Mike Bost of Murphysboro. Rauner has almost singlehandedly revived the Illinois Republican Party as a political force, largely through his own wallet. Rauner and his campaign fund have given the state GOP at least 72 percent of the $42.5 million it has raised since he took office as governor.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Attacks on news media  In 2007, Chavez refused to renew the broadcasting license of RCTV, the most widely followed anti-government station, forcing it to shut down and sparking nationwide protests. Since then, an estimated 300 independent small-town radio stations have either been shut down or forced to change to government-friendly formats, according to Marcelino Bisbal, a professor at Andres Bello Catholic University. Globovision, the last television station to broadcast anti-government editorials, was forced to sell in 2013 after owners complained of mounting government fines and political harassment. The new owners are businessmen with ties to Maduro. CNN, El Tiempo TV, NTN24 and other Spanish language cable channels that have criticized the government have been banned from broadcasting in Venezuela. Maduro halted TV broadcasts of National Assembly sessions last year after the opposition won majority control. In 2014, the largest daily newspaper, El Universal, was forced to sell to a government-friendly owner group.)

The panel voted without dissent to find the two people violated the law by seeking to influence City Hall action without registering as a lobbyist. Ethics board President William F. Conlon said the individuals would be identified on a city website, but not until later this week after they are notified of the ruling.)

CRAIN’S CHICAGO BUSINESS
— Former Mariano’s employee sues over fingerprint data – NONA TEPPER  (DIERSEN: To deter/detect potential conflicts of interest, federal employees are required to give their superiors lots of information about their financial assets and debts.  Federal employees should expect that their superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates who want to waste your career and who want to get rid of you will get your financial information and will use that information against you.  My Democrat IRS and GAO superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates talked and acted like they knew exactly what was on my and my wife’s income tax returns, what our incomes were, what are financial and other assets were, what our debts were, that we had no dependents, etc. They talked and acted like they viewed us as being undeservedly selfish rich DINKs (dual income, no kids).  They painted me as being someone who had way too much money, and therefore, a) someone who did not need nor should get pay increases or promotions and b) someone who should take early retirement as soon as it is offered.  They always hinted/implied/argued/shouted a) that instead of me, the Post Office should have hired a poor person in 1966, b) that the Post Office should gotten rid of me much sooner than it so that a poor person could have my job, c) that instead of me, IRS should have hired a poor person in 1971, d) that instead of me, IRS should have promoted poor people in 1972, 1973, and 1974, e) that instead of me, GAO should have hired a poor person in 1980, f) that instead of me, GAO should have promoted a poor person in 1986, and g) that GAO should have gotten rid of me much sooner than it did so that a poor person could have my job and my preferred corner office.)

Mariano’s required Doporcyk to check in and out of work by scanning his fingerprints, according to the suit. Mariano’s requires all Illinois employees, salaried and hourly, to clock in through a fingerprint scanner.)

AMERICAN THINKER
— Convert, Pay, or Die – William L. Gensert
http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2017/06/convert_pay_or_die.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Convert, pay, or die is the set of choices Islam offers infidels.  Coincidentally, this is also what today’s progressives and the Democratic Party offer nonbelievers, climate “deniers,” white males, heterosexuals, patriots, blue-collar workers, farmers, miners, people without a college degree, the religiously devout, Republicans, and everybody else choosing not to buy into the party’s version of what America is and what the nation owes both its citizens and the world. Our country has collectively “slipped into madness.”  Hatred in the name of diversity and political unity has become a goal in itself – and it is ascendant in modern culture, all compelled by leftist ideology. No matter how many are killed, maimed, or merely terrified in the name of Allah, for progressives, the problem will always be Islamophobia, or an ignorant populace too uneducated to understand the inherent nuance of the “religion of peace.” Those who suggest enhanced screening for immigrants from Islamic nations or even a limited suspension, as President Trump proposed, are greeted with rioting in the streets, for to look askance at a man who expresses an explicit desire to kill in the name of Allah is tantamount to outright racism. Islamic men between the ages of eighteen and forty-five years old commit more than 90% of terrorist attacks.  Yet singling out people who fit those criteria for extra scrutiny is profiling and therefore implicit racism deserving of nothing less than outright excommunication from polite society – along with, of course, the total dissolution of one’s life, career, and safety.)

Core priority payments total about $1.85 billion each month, representing about 90 percent of the state’s average monthly revenues, Schoeben explained. The largest chunk of that — $593 million — is the state’s monthly contribution to its five public retirement systems that pay the pensions of state workers, teachers, university employees, judges and legislators. Next largest is the state payroll, at $370 million a month, which pays the salaries of 63,000 state employees who keep the government operating.)

http://www.chicagobusiness.com/article/20170607/NEWS03/170609889/illinois-comptroller-must-pay-medicaid-providers-more

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Joan Lefkow agreed, noting that state Comptroller Susana Mendoza, who pays the state’s bills, has made other payments in full, including to the state payroll and pensions. . .In May, Mendoza told Crain’s editorial board that if insurers won, she would lose what little discretion she has to decide who gets paid first. Now, she prioritizes payments for agencies that care for the most vulnerable populations, including children and people with disabilities.)

RUSS STEWART
— GA-6 OUTCOME WILL BE HARBINGER FOR ROSKAM IN 2018
http://www.russstewart.com/russ-analysis.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: GA-6 is not quite IL-6 — at least not yet. That could change on 6/20, when voters in Georgia’s 6th congressional district elect a new U.S. Representative in a contest where the lines are clearly demarcated: Trump vs. anti-Trump. IL-6 is occupied by Peter Roskam (R). Both districts are historically Republican, GA-6 being in Atlanta’s western suburbs and IL-6 being in Chicago’s western suburbs (mostly DuPage Co.). Both are upscale, with high median income and low minority population. But both went for Clinton over Trump by 50-48% in 2016. The Democrats, in their 2011 remap, packed every possible Republican into IL-6, including Barrington and west Lake Co. (Lake Zurich), and Roskam won with 59% in 2016, spending $3.3 million. He should have a safe seat. But Roskam is a party-line Republican, and backed the repeal/reform of parts of the Affordable Care Act. Three Democratic women are running, and all will trumpet the anti-Trump line. Watch GA-6 on 6/20.)

— The ‘Independent’ Mr. Comey  His prepared testimony shows why he deserved to be fired. – Editorial (DIERSEN: Constructively, my Democrat GAO superiors fired me in 1997 when I was 49 years old.  Of course, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes in Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois side with my Democrat GAO superiors.)

NEW YORK POST
— Christie: Trump’s demand for loyalty was just a good ol’ New York chat – Gabrielle Fonrouge  (DIERSEN: All my critics/opponents a) demand loyalty, b) promote patronage, c) reward their operatives and their dupes, and d) focus on destroying those like me who they cannot manipulate/dominate. I should write a book about my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes.  They disapprove of, if not hate, the fact that I am loyal to the Republican Party platform, the Illinois Republican Party platform, and the Milton Township Republican Central Committee resolution against video gambling.)

USA TODAY
— FRONT PAGE TOP OF FOLD HARDCOPY ARTICLE TITLE: President may pay a price for firing – Kevin Johnson  (DIERSEN: Constructively, my Democrat GAO superiors fired me in 1997 when I was 49 years old.  They not only knew that I would file a lawsuit, they wanted me to file a lawsuit. They wanted to be able to point to the lawsuit to help them hire, retain, and promote Democrats, minorities, females, and younger people.)

— We have six kids: Here’s how we put them all through college – Tamara Holmes  (DIERSEN: Did you expect your parents to pay for your college education?  I did not.  My outstanding parents never attended college.  My father fought type 1 diabetes from age 14, was the first of his ancestors to earn a high school diploma, worked in the office of a chemical plant, almost always worked second jobs to pay the family’s bills, and did not buy a new car until he was 45 and it was a bottom of the line 2-door Chevy.  My mother never attended high school.)

FED SMITH
— 2.1% COLA in 2018? – Ralph R. Smith  (DIERSEN: COLAs have always been less than inflation. Based on what I have had to spend money on (taxes, food, medical, utilities, insurance, home maintenance, etc.), COLAs have always been far less than inflation.)
