— What will your Republican Precinct Committeeman do to encourage voters in your precinct to cast Republican ballots in the March 17, 2026 primary? I will hand-deliver a sample ballot and the campaign literature that Republican candidates provide me to the 400 residences in my precinct that have at least one registered Republican or Independent voter. The contested Republican races in my precinct are U.S. Senate, Illinois Governor, Illinois Attorney General, Illinois Secretary of State, Illinois 3rd District Appellate Court, and DuPage County Sheriff. I will obtain from the DuPage County Election Division a PDF file to print individual mailing labels for the registered Republican and Independent voters, photocopy the sample ballot, stuff envelopes, divide them into five batches, and put them in walk order. I hope we have a mild winter. – Dave Diersen

— Ever-increasing, the Democrat Party promotes dependency on government and charity, LGBTQ, abortion, mass/illegal immigration, vices, diminishment of Second Amendment rights, and Affirmative Action and DEI, that is, race and gender based preference giving, patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, religious discrimination, and notional origin discrimination. Ever-increasing, to get more votes from those who are the following, they give them more preference: minority, female, younger, LGBTQ, have less money than others, non-Protestant, non-German American, have ancestors who have not been in America for a long time, and/or are citizens of foreign countries. – Dave Diersen

Democrats and RINOs ever-increasingly promise to provide that PROTECTION. – Dave Diersen

— What happened to those who helped your career? I should write the IRS manager who promoted me to GS-9 in 1972, GS-11 in 1973, and GS-12 in 1974. Because he did that, my Democrat IRS superiors forced him to transfer to Dallas. I should write about the GAO manager who arranged my transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980 and who was finally able to assign me to audits or IRS and to promote me to GS-13 in 1986. Because he did that, my Democrat GAO superiors forced him to retire in 1987. To get rid of me, my Democrat IRS superiors disallowed my travel vouchers in 1974, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, and never promoted me to GS-13. To get rid of me, my Democrat GAO superiors a) forced me to take a $23,472/year (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars, a downgrade from GS-12 Step 5 to GS-9 Step 10, to transfer, b) delayed my promotions back to GS-12 Step 5, c) kept me off audits of IRS except 1986-1988, d) never promoted me to GS-14, e) always ranked me in the bottom of my coworkers for pay-for-performance, and f) forced me to retire when I was 49 in 1997. In today’s dollars, my Civil Service Retirement System pension is less that what my IRS salary was when I was 23 in 1972. – Dave Diersen

— Have you been in a probationary period? After I transferred from IRS to GAO when I was 31 years old in 1980, my Democrat GAO supervisors were furious when they learned that because of my IRS employment, they could not use probationary procedures to get rid of me. In 1970, my Chicago Heights Firestone Store boss unsuccessfully tried to use probationary procedures to not hire me. The Firestone Store Chicago district office had hired me and assigned me to his store. He never would have hired me. He forced me to pass a 2-week probationary period in Firestone’s Gary Indiana Store. He disapproved of my avoiding the Vietnam War draft. He disapproved of my being Protestant. He disapproved of my being German American. He disapproved of me and my ancestors living in Crete and their having been in America since 1844. The aforesaid led to my accepting a job offer from Oldsmobile in 1971. But Oldsmobile withdrew that job offer saying it had just agreed to stop hiring Whites to settle an EEOC complaint. He rudely fired me because I had accepted that job offer. That directly resulted in my accepting a job offer from IRS. – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— Have you ever served on a jury? If I had not be denied my 7th Amendment right to a jury trial in Diersen v. GAO, and if you had served on that jury, would you have sided with GAO or with me? To justify their denying me a jury trial, the judge and justices hinted/implied/argued that no jury would side with me. But the trial record showed that my Democrat superiors had illegally forced me to retire so that they could my job and my preferred corner office to my Black subordinate who had less work experience than I had, had less education than I had, had one professional certification while I had six, and had no professional license like I had. In 1993, when I was a 45-year-old GAO employee who had 25 years of federal service, to get rid of their employees a) who they had not promoted into their Senior Executive Service, currently $195,200/year, b) who were Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran, and/or c) who had 25 or more years of federal service, the Democrats who ran GAO “offered” them a $25,000 buyout if they took early retirement. The buyout “offer” expired in 1 year and the early retirement “offer” expired in 4 years. They succeeded in forcing me to take the early retirement “offer” on September 30, 1997. Things that I had done that helped me survive those 4 years included a) my earning job-related master’s degrees in 1997, 1980, and 1976, b) my earing job-related professional certifications in 1997, 1996, 1994, 1990, 1981, and 1979, and c) my earning a job-related professional license in 1981. Under the Democrats and under the RINOs, anticipate/expect that ever-increasingly, the more of the following that you are, the less “jury appeal” that you will have, and therefore, the less “justice” that you will have in courts: Republican, non-poor, non-veteran, White, male, older, Protestant, German American, and/or have ancestors who have been in America for a long time. I am all of the aforesaid. Federal courts would not have denied me my 7th Amendment right to a jury trial in Diersen v. GAO if I had been Democrat, poor, veteran, minority, female, younger, non-Protestant, non-German American, and/or if my ancestors had been in America for a long time. GAO hinted/implied/argued that because of my demographics, I should pay the price of Affirmative Action big time and that I could easily afford to pay that price. GAO’s forcing me to retire when I was 49 years old in 1997 cut my income by $86,371/year (56%) ($153,151/year salary minus $66,780/year pension) in today’s dollars. Off the record, GAO stressed a) that the federal government would forever pay 72% of my and my wife’s health insurance premiums, b) that my wife had a good job, c) that we had no dependents, d) that we had no debts, e) that we had substantial retirement and other savings, f) that we owned a 13-year-old home in Wheaton, g) that we owned three collector cars, h) etc. Again, if I had not be denied my 7th Amendment right to a jury trial, and if you had served on that jury, would you have sided with GAO or with me?- Dave Diersen

— Are you retired? I have been retired since I was 49 years old in 1997. If you are retired, were you forced to retire? I was. What would the rest of your employment had been like if you had not retired? If I had not retired when I did, I would not have eligible to retire for another 6 years. My Democrat GAO superiors had made it extremely clear that if I did not retire, they would make those 6 years a living hell. They would constructively if not literally demote me. They would give me adverse transfers. They would give me bad job assignments. They would give me unfair performance expectations. They would give me unfair performance appraisals. They would rank me at the bottom of my coworkers for pay-for-performance. They would treat me like they had treated me in 1989. They could do all of the aforesaid because GAO was not unionized. GAO did not unionize until 2007. I considered asking my Congressman Henry Hyde to come to my defense like I had done in 1989, but I decided not to. There were too many around Hyde who were against me. Further, my Democrat GAO superiors had taken so many big adverse actions against me, I could not see myself surviving another them for another 6 years. But nevertheless, I will always ask myself, what would have happened if I had again asked Hyde to come to my defense. His coming to my defense in 1989 enabled me to survive until 1997. It motived me to earn job-related professional certifications in 1990, 1994, 1996, and 1997. It motived me to earn a job-related master’s degree in 1997. – Dave Diersen

ILLINOIS REVIEW
— ‘Grassroots’ – According to the People Who Can’t Stand Them. DD: Political parties exist to help elect candidates who can and will defend and advance their platform. The Republican Party platform is conservative. Far too many past and present leaders of the Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization are anti-conservative, that is, they are anti-Republican. They reject far too many planks in the Republican Party platform, most commonly its personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration, illegal drugs, Second Amendment, and/or equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks. Instead of defending and advancing the aforesaid planks, they talk and act like they do not exist, and if not that, like they should be officially abolished. At best, they want the Republican Party to be the Democrat-Lite Party. I should write about the aforesaid anti-Republican leaders. I would focus on those who have had their operatives and their dupes take the most/biggest adverse actions against me since 2000.

But the trial record showed that my Democrat superiors had illegally forced me to retire so that they could my job and my preferred corner office to my Black subordinate who had less work experience than I had, had less education than I had, had one professional certification while I had six, and had no professional license like I had.

CONVERSATION
— DD: My critics/opponents are blacklisters. They blacklist those like me who they cannot manipulate or dominate, who refuse to glorify and paise them, who refuse to pander to them, who refuse to serve as one of their operatives or dupes, who refuse to cover up their wrongdoing, and/or who refuse to give them money. I should write about my critics/opponents. I would focus on those who I have done the most to help elect and reelect since 2000. I would focus on those who continue to have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout in Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois. I would focus on those who have had their operatives and their dupes take the most/biggest adverse actions against me lately.

But recently, I bought a Stelo CGM using Amazon for $100/month. It has immediately shown that my glucose spikes to over 250 after I eat, that is, I have high hyperglycemia. I am anxiously awaiting my diabetes doctor’s instructions.
https://medcitynews.com/2025/12/cgm-diabetes-healthcare/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: A new study found that continuous glucose monitors can cut healthcare costs by about 20% while also improving outcomes for insulin-dependent diabetes patients, largely by reducing hospitalizations and emergency department visits. Despite these benefits and broad insurance coverage, roughly 80% of eligible patients still are not using the technology — highlighting a significant adoption gap.)

Affirmative action, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity, Social justice policing, Appeasement abroad, Free trade (resulting in the destruction of our middle class), Universal public education, No-risk college loans, SNAP benefits for the poor, Medicaid for All (including illegal aliens), Free buses, Rent control, Gun control, Abortion, or the deceptively named “reproductive rights,” Transing of children, or the deceptively named “gender-affirming care,” Mass unfettered illegal immigration, Bend down the (health care) cost curve, If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, and Climate change and the urbanization of the populace into smart cities. Wonderful ideas — in theory.  In practice, the outcome of these policies has been disastrous, particularly for those who have bought in to the lie. Measuring blood sugar has joined sleep and exercise tracking as wellness trends, with some longevity experts claiming that reducing fluctuations throughout the day can help protect against heart disease, even for people who don’t have diabetes. Continuous glucose monitors, or CGMs, are small devices that track blood sugar in real time and can tell wearers how their bodies are reacting to stress, food, sleep or exercise. New versions attach to a user’s arm and can pair with a smartphone to give blood sugar readings throughout the day. CGMs, which the Food and Drug Administration first approved in 1999, have traditionally been prescribed only to patients with diabetes. COLUMBIA MISSOURIAN
— When Nixon ended the draft it changed the course of my life. DD: How did the Vietnam War draft impact you? It had a tremendous impact on me. I avoided the draft with student deferments 1966-1970 and a financial hardship deferment 1970-1971. Because of my draft lottery number, the likelihood of my being drafted decreased in 1971. But the draft did not end until 1973. Potential employers viewed me as being draft bait because I was 1-A for the draft. They did not believe that my financial hardship draft deferment application would be approved. That severely harmed my job search. When I graduated from NIU in 1970, I took the only job offer that I got. It was for a job that did not really require a college degree. I was rudely fired from that job because I had accepted a job offer. But that job offer was withdrawn. Because I had to have a job, I accepted a job offer from IRS in 1971. But I soon learned that my Democrat IRS superiors who were veterans blamed Republicans for America losing the Vietnam War. They despised/hated Republicans like me who avoided the draft. They got rid of the IRS manager who promoted me in 1972, 1973, and 1974. They disallowed my travel vouchers in 1974. They disallowed my education deductions in 1978. They ignored/dismissed/belittled my earning an MBA in 1976 and my passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979. They made it ever-increasingly clear that they would never promote me to GS-13. The aforesaid resulted in my transferring to GAO in 1980. But I soon learned that my Democrat GAO superiors who were veterans also blamed Republicans for America losing the Vietnam War. They forced me to take a $23,472/year (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980.  They kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, They delayed my promotions and never promote me beyond GS-13. https://www.cnet.com/health/medical/best-continuous-glucose-monitors-according-to-experts/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Stelo was the first over-the-counter CGM available in the US when it received FDA approval in 2024. The small sensor sits on the back of your arm and tracks your glucose levels 24/7. You can view your blood sugar levels within the app. . .Each sensor lasts up to 15 days, it’s pretty low maintenance and it’s an easy way to see how your stress, meals and daily habits influence your glucose levels. One pack of two will cost you $99 (lasts about a month) but if you subscribe that price will drop to $89 a month. The pack comes with everything you need: the sensors, applicator and overpatch to secure the sensor in place. Over the two weeks I tested the Stelo, I noticed which habits (like taking a walk after dinner) affected my blood sugar the most. I find this tool helpful for those curious about their overall health and probably not for those with a diabetes diagnosis as it doesn’t send safety alarms when your glucose levels are too high or too low. If you have a diagnosis and would like to try Stelo, I recommend speaking to your doctor to ensure it will give you the insights and alerts you need.)

— Government unions put politics before workers. Political candidates use unwitting teachers’ dues to fund campaigns. DD: Yes, but if GAO had unionized sooner, my Democrat GAO superiors would not have been able to a) force me to take a $23,472/year (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO, b) keep me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, c) delay my promotions and never promote me beyond GS-13, d) always rank me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance, and e) force me to retire when I was 49 years old in 1997.

An Axios-Generation poll found, “College students prefer socialism to capitalism.” DD: Under socialism, you advance based on your loyalty to your superiors, not your merit. Federal employees advance based on their loyalty to the Democrat Party platform, not based on their merit. All my coworkers who my Democrat superiors in the federal government promoted over me were Democrats a) who had less work experience than I had, b) who had less education than I had, c) who had no professional certifications or fewer than I had, and/or d) had no professional license like the one I dad.

— Not Marriage Material. American women have never been this resigned to staying single. DD: Democrat leaders ever-increasing destroy traditional marriage. Under the Democrats, fewer and fewer and fewer people are marriage material. What helped make you marriage material? By the time I got married when I was 29 in 1978, I had worked for IRS for almost 7 years and my salary was $108,978/year in today’s dollars. I had earned an MBA from Loyola in 1976 and I was taking graduate evening accounting courses at DePaul. I lived in a one bedroom condo in the Outer Drive East building that I had bought in 1976. I was renting out a town home in University Park that I had bought new in 1972. I owned a 1972 Corvette that I had bought new in 1971. Things that impressed me about my outstanding wife included her first job after high school was working for the FBI. She soon became the Corporate Secretary for the U.S. League of Savings Institutions. She did much to help elect Big Jim Thompson in 1976. She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance in 1986. — DD: Do you know any federal employees or federal retirees? What is your attitude toward them? I was a federal employee for almost 30 years and I have been a federal retiree for more than 28 years. My critics/opponents have always negatively stressed that. They have always hinted/implied/argued/shouted a) that federal employees have always been grossly overpaid and their benefits have always been much too generous and b) that federal pensions and benefits have always been much too generous. They have always hinted/implied/argued/shouted that in the private sector, I never could have earned in today’s dollars a) $19.37/hour when I was 18 in 1966, b) $55,850/year when I was 22, c) $68,315/year when I was 23, d) $82,655/year when I was 24, e) $99,069/year when I was 25, f) $112,280/year when I was 29, g) $117,807/year when I was 38, and h) $153,151 when I was 49. Since I was 49, my Civil Service Retirement System pension has been $66,780/year in today’s dollars. The federal government has paid a) 72% of my healthcare insurance premiums since I was 18 and b) 72% of my wife’s healthcare insurance premiums since I was 29.  In my defense, I earned a job-related bachelor’s degree when I was 21. I earned job-related master’s degrees when I was 27, 31, and 48. I earned job-relate professional certifications when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 47, and 48. FAST COMPANY
—  Skills-First Hiring. DD: I transferred from IRS to GAO when I was 31 in 1980. GAO audits IRS. The skills that I had that the Democrats who ran GAO ignored/dismissed/belittled because I was not a Democrat, minority, female, younger, and/or veteran included the skills that I acquired a) working for IRS for almost 9 years, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 Levels, currently $99,069-$112,280/year, b) passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, c) almost completing the requirements for a master’s degree in accounting, and d) earning an MBA in 1976. Much of what I did for IRS was very similar to what I would do for GAO. GAO’s forcing me to take a $23,472 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars proves its discrimination against those who are Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran.

I earned an MBA from Loyola in 1976. In 1980, my third entry-level job was a GS-9 Step 10 GAO Analyst. The salary was $88,808/year in today’s dollars. TALKING POINTS MEMO
— GAO Has Been Calling Out Trump’s Illegal Impoundment. That May Soon Change.
https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/one-agency-has-been-calling-out-trumps-illegal-impoundment-that-may-soon-change
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Throughout 2025, the Trump administration has, time after time, simply refused to spend funds that Congress appropriated. The obstinacy was without precedent in modern American governance; congressional Democrats suggested it had put the country on track toward a constitutional crisis. Republicans, who controlled both chambers of Congress, largely did nothing. Piping up occasionally to affirm to those who were paying attention that they had not entirely lost their minds was a relatively small watchdog agency housed within the legislative branch: The Government Accountability Office (GAO). . .Following Dodaro’s retirement, Congress will establish a bipartisan panel to recommend a replacement to the president. President Donald Trump will then nominate a candidate subject to Senate confirmation. But experts worry that the ostensibly bipartisan process will not be enough to force Trump to appoint someone who will live up to the agency’s nonpartisan mission, which includes investigating improper, wasteful and fraudulent use of the money Congress allocates. “It is very likely that Gene Dodaro is replaced with a Trump lackey,” Bobby Kogan, senior director of federal budget policy at the Center for American Progress, told TPM. Kogan worries that if Dodaro is replaced by a Trump loyalist, the agency will stop doing the “important part of what they have been doing, which is investigations, public oversight and accountability.” “GAO investigations are extremely important,” Georgetown Law professor David Super told TPM. “In many respects, it provides a better and more independent version of what the inspectors general used to provide,” he said, referencing the watchdogs who sit within many executive branch agencies — and who Trump fired en masse in 2025. “Since Trump has gotten rid of the inspectors general, we don’t have that independent site,” Super continued. “So having an independent GAO looking at things is extremely important. And, certainly, Congress would have a harder time doing its job without GAO.”)

FOUNDATION FOR AMERICAN INNOVATION
— Congress Should Reform GAO for the Twenty-First Century. DD: I worked for the Democrats who ran GAO 1980-1997. They wasted my career, they took many big adverse actions against me, and they forced me to retire when I was 49 years old in 1997. They did that because I opposed their political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, and age discrimination and because I became an active member in a class action lawsuit that charged them with the aforesaid in 1988. If Gingrich had reformed GAO instead of gutting it, my Democrat GAO superiors would not have been able to a) force me to take a $23,472/year (21%) pay cut to transfer from IRS to GAO, b) keep me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, c) delay my promotions and never promote me beyond GS-13, d) always rank me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance, and e) force me to retire when I was 49 years old in 1997.
https://www.thefai.org/posts/congress-should-reform-the-government-accountability-office-for-the-twenty-first-century
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Comptroller General Gene Dodaro’s 15-year term leading the Government Accountability Office will end later this month. Mr. Dodaro’s tenure of public service spans more than 50 years. Few Americans have made more contributions to the federal government, and his leadership has resulted in considerable savings for American taxpayers. The end of his term begins a process to fill the vacancy: a bipartisan congressional commission recommends a slate of candidates, the president nominates from that list, and the Senate provides advice and consent, including possible rejection. The process of recommending, nominating, and confirming a new Comptroller General in 1996 and 2008 took about two years, often with irregularities. The upcoming vacancy and looming debate provide an opportunity for Congress—and GAO itself—to reimagine the organization for the twenty-first century. GAO’s more-than-a-century-long history has involved several transformations. During the twentieth century, the organization’s original focus—auditing government payment vouchers–transitioned into broader financial oversight, program evaluations, and directed work on behalf of Congress. Congress started layering on additional responsibilities. In 1974, Congress directed GAO to police impoundments, and in 1996, it gave GAO a role in reviewing regulations. In the 1990s, GAO faced steep budget cuts and staffing reductions, prompting a new comptroller general, David Walker, to refocus the organization’s mission heading into the 2000s—including rebranding the organization to focus on its modern mission of government accountability and delivering a return on investment for American taxpayers in terms of government savings. Over the past quarter-century, GAO’s work has produced roughly $1.5 trillion in financial benefits for the U.S. government. Over the past 15 years, GAO’s annual reviews of duplication and waste across federal programs have resulted in more than $700 billion in financial benefits. As a trusted, nonpartisan institution within the legislative branch, GAO continues to provide substantial value to lawmakers on Capitol Hill. Nevertheless, GAO is now at a crossroads. GAO and the current comptroller general have faced increasing opposition from the Trump administration and some congressional Republicans. OMB Director Russ Vought has stated, “We’re not big fans of GAO,” and called the organization “something that shouldn’t exist.” This opposition is primarily due to concerns about GAO’s recent actions related to its congressionally mandated responsibilities under the Impoundment Control Act and the Congressional Review Act. On Capitol Hill, some members and staff question the usefulness of GAO’s reports and recommendations. During the 117th Congress, a bipartisan select committee passed a recommendation that called for a review of congressional satisfaction with GAO’s work. Some evidence indicates that GAO’s work is not having the intended impact. At least a quarter of GAO’s recommendations are routinely ignored. As of December 2025, more than 5,200 open recommendations remain unaddressed. GAO maintains a “high risk list” of “government operations with serious vulnerabilities to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement, or in need of transformation,” which currently includes 37 areas, including nine items identified in the last century. Some question whether GAO is overly cautious in its approach to evaluating federal programs and activities. There is a long-running joke among congressional staff and even GAO employees and alumni that its reports typically include a balanced framing, such as “progress made, challenges remain,” which requires Congress to probe deep into the reports page and footnotes to actually understand potential problems identified through program evaluations. GAO’s own metrics show a declining impact. As of December 2025, GAO’s own performance metrics reveal a recent decline in the organization’s return on investment and in its ability to encourage federal agencies to implement its recommendations promptly between 2019 and 2024. This decline has occurred despite bipartisan reforms enacted by Congress over the past decade to increase GAO’s ROI and effectiveness. Some question whether these trends are linked to GAO’s transition to widespread remote work, which persists today and was codified by a 2023 agreement with its labor union, and to a headquarters building that is often largely empty, according to GAO staff. . .The upcoming nomination of a new comptroller general offers a chance to put GAO back on the right track. GAO itself should propose reforms and process changes to address these concerns. As Congress and President Trump prepare to recommend and nominate the next comptroller general, we recommend the following reforms to strengthen GAO’s effectiveness and value for Congress and the American people. 1. Reaffirm GAO’s core mission and explicitly prioritize fiscal stewardship…2. Empower the next comptroller general with authority, autonomy, resources, and a mandate for institutional renewal…3. Remove politically charged enforcement duties—especially under the Impoundment Control Act—and maintain strict neutrality under the Congressional Review Act…4. Direct GAO to focus on high-impact audits and program evaluations, supported by transparent performance metrics and independent review…5. Require GAO to produce more precise and actionable recommendations for Congress and federal agencies…6. Strengthen structured collaboration between GAO and Congress and embed GAO expertise within committees…7. Establish a statutory requirement for annual comptroller general recommendations on rescissions and fiscal savings opportunities…8. Expand GAO’s partnership capacity with federal agencies and state governments to strengthen program integrity and reduce mismanagement…9. Require federal departments and agencies to cooperate with GAO’s oversight and information requests fully…10. Expect the next comptroller general to restore bipartisan credibility by avoiding unnecessary political conflict…Throughout GAO’s long history, Congress has recognized the need to review and reform GAO’s mission to meet the times. In 2026, Congress should consider how to focus GAO’s work and use its $900 million in annual funding and more than 3,500 employees to meet the needs of the legislative branch and the American people. As Congress and President Trump work to identify, nominate, and confirm the next comptroller general, Congress should hold hearings and reauthorize GAO to update its mission for the twenty-first century.)

— Inexperienced, poorly trained ICE and border patrol agents could face legal trouble. DD: IRS hired me when I was 22 years old in 1971 as a GS-7, currently $55,850/year, Revenue Officer. I spend my first 6 months in classroom training. See below from Google AI. IRS promoted me to GS-9, currently $68,315/year, in 1972, to GS-11, currently $82,655/year, in 1973, and to GS-12, currently $99,069/year, in 1974. My Democrat IRS superiors got more and more and more furious at the GAO manager who promoted me. According to them, those promotions should have been given to my Democrat coworkers who were minority, female, younger, and/or veteran. They forced him to transfer to Dallas, and to get rid of me, they disallowed my travel vouchers in 1974, they disallowed my education deductions in 1978, and they made it clear that they would never promote me to GS13. They ignored/dismissed/belittled my earning an MBA in 1976 and my passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979. The aforesaid led to my transferring to GAO in 1980.

(FROM GOOGLE AI: IRS revenue officer (RO) training involves extensive on-the-job training in tax law, collection techniques, and civil investigative methods. The program typically spans up to a year and includes a series of in-person training units held in various cities. Training Details On-the-Job Focus: New hires receive substantial on-the-job training, which can last anywhere from several months to a year. Structured Units: The training is often delivered in multiple units (e.g., Unit 1 through Unit 4) in various locations. Trainees have reported traveling to different cities for these multi-week sessions. Core Curriculum: The curriculum is designed to educate officers in the specifics of tax law and the techniques necessary for collecting delinquent taxes and securing delinquent returns. This includes: Conducting research, interviews, and investigations. Analyzing financial information for assigned cases. Understanding business law, including laws governing fraudulent transfers and secured debts. Learning how to interact with taxpayers and their representatives, often in the field at homes or businesses. Assessment: Training involves open-book tests, and satisfactory completion of the required levels is often a prerequisite for continued employment and promotion. Continuing Education: Once initial training is complete, officers must stay current with changes in the tax code and enforcement procedures throughout their careers. Post-Training Work Environment After successfully completing the initial training year, revenue officers may be eligible for frequent telework up to four days a week, depending on performance and management discretion. Application Process and Requirements To become an IRS revenue officer, a bachelor’s degree in any major is generally required, or a combination of education and specialized experience. While the IRS doesn’t specify a major, degrees in accounting or finance can be advantageous. . .Key Responsibilities Collection of Delinquent Taxes: The primary duty is to collect unpaid taxes, typically for cases with significant, long-ignored debt. Securing Delinquent Returns: They survey for and secure unfiled tax returns. Taxpayer Interaction: They contact and interview taxpayers (or their representatives) face-to-face or by phone, often at the taxpayer’s home or business, to discuss their financial situation and resolve the debt. Financial Analysis: They analyze financial information, often using IRS Form 433-A, Collection Information Statement, to determine a taxpayer’s ability to pay. Negotiation and Resolution: They educate taxpayers on their rights and obligations and work to resolve liabilities through various means, including: Setting up installment payment agreements. Considering Offers in Compromise (OIC). Suspending collection due to financial hardship (currently not collectible status). Enforcement Actions: If a taxpayer is uncooperative, they can take enforcement actions, which may include recommending the imposition of liens, garnishing wages, levying bank accounts, and seizing assets. Referrals: They can make referrals to IRS Criminal Investigation (CI) if they suspect tax fraud or other criminal violations.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Some people are performers. In June 2020, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer led a group kneeling in the U.S. Capitol wearing African kente stoles. National Football League end zones say “Choose Love” and “It Takes All of Us.” Empathy? More like images over action. Then there are coddlers. They paternalistically throw money at problems: welfare, drug programs, ObamaCare. They create rules and regulations to protect “marginalized” groups: Title IX, affirmative action and federal contract set-asides. To pay for it, they rationalize redistribution of wealth so the world can be “fair” for everyone. This progressive playbook often fails. See low-income housing, preferential college admissions and rising insurance premiums. Is letting men on women’s swim teams and in women’s bathrooms empathy? I can’t get there. . .New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is a coddler: “We will prove that there is no problem too large for government to solve, and no concern too small for it to care about.” Yikes. Is that empathy or a threat? Sadly, we know how the latter ends. Lately there has been talk of a $140,000 poverty line for a family of four. See what I mean? Economist Milton Friedman put it best: “One of the great mistakes is to judge policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results.” Intentions like “social justice” inevitably lead to organizing and activism and raised taxes—empathy is expensive!—and redistribution of wealth, without solving the underlying problems. For me, empathy and that elusive righteousness is about restoring lost dignity. And that often means setting up rules and then getting out of the way and letting freedom and free markets do their magic. There is little political credit for that whole “freedom” thing. Just results. The American way is: Do what you want, but respect the dignity of others. An essential part of respect is to not be pitied. Freedom is dignity. That’s true empathy.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: A LinkedIn post by Rohan Verma, CEO and co-founder of Breathe Well-being, has sparked a discussion online about privilege, merit and the role of luck in shaping life outcomes. In his post, Verma argued that educational pedigree and family background play a decisive role in determining future success. He claimed that those who attend elite institutions such as Ivy League universities or India’s IITs and IIMs are far more likely to see their children enter top colleges and corporate leadership roles, while people engaged in low-paid or manual labor largely come from poor families, irrespective of talent or hard work. “If you went to an Ivy League or the IIT/IIM route, your kids will likely attend a good college. And there is zero chance that they will end up doing manual labor. If you are a billionaire, your kids will 100% attend Yale, Stanford, or Harvard (or something similar). And they will later become Board Chairmen and CEOs,” Verma wrote in his post. “On the other hand, – 100% of people doing lowly paid jobs or manual labor come from poor families — regardless of their IQ, talent, or propensity for hard work,” he continued. “This is how privilege persists over generations,” Verma wrote, adding that many manual laborers could have been corporate leaders “had they been born differently”. He concluded by saying that “probably 90% of life is luck,” with only a small fraction accounting for inspirational stories of people who rise against all odds. True humility and awareness, he added, come from recognizing which parts of one’s life fall into that 90%.

DAILY SIGNAL
— Would ICE Have Deported Jesus at Christmas? AWAY WITH THE MANGER: How the Left Tries to Weaponize Christmas Against Trump. DD: How strongly have Democrat leaders taken over your church?
https://www.dailysignal.com/2025/12/14/would-ice-have-deported-jesus-christmas/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: This year, Catholics in Massachusetts are protesting President Donald Trump’s immigration policies by swapping “Away in a Manger” for “Away With the Manger.” This marks yet another instance of Trump opponents weaponizing the Christmas story to demonize immigration enforcement by claiming Jesus was a refugee and suggesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement would have arrested and deported the Christ child in the manger. The Catholic priest at St. Susanna Parish in Dedham, Massachusetts, set up a classic nativity scene with shepherds, sheep, wise men, and … a sign reading “ICE was here” in the place where Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus would normally be. While the Catholic leadership opposed this “divisive political messaging,” the Rev. Stephen Josoma blamed the Trump administration for any division. Meanwhile, Lake Street Church of Evanston, Illinois, put baby Jesus in zip ties and an emergency blanket, and placed gas masks on the faces of Mary and Joseph. The church said this symbolizes the conditions of ICE detention facilities and the use of tear gas on “peaceful protesters, journalists, and community members advocating for immigration reform.” “The Holy Family were refugees,” the church posted on Facebook. “By witnessing this familiar story through the reality faced by migrants today, we hope to restore its radical edge, and to ask what it means to celebrate the birth of a refugee child while turning away those who follow in that child’s footsteps.” Was Jesus a Refugee? These strained analogies rest on a kernel of truth. According to Matthew 2:13-23, an angel appeared to Joseph, warning him to flee to Egypt because King Herod the Great aimed to kill Jesus. Herod ordered the slaughter of male children in Bethlehem, but Jesus survived in Egypt. God sent another angel to Joseph later, advising him to return to Israel because “those who sought the child’s life are dead.” Jesus arguably fit the definition of a refugee: someone forced to leave his or her country to escape war or persecution. However, anyone seeking to tie Jesus’ sojourn in Egypt to the plight of refugees or illegal aliens in America today will at once encounter a plethora of problems. Herod, the king who sought to kill Jesus, owed his position to the Roman Senate. Jesus fled Roman-ruled Judea to reside in Roman-ruled Egypt, and then returned to Roman-ruled Judea. Politically, Jesus’ flight to Egypt resembles a conservative family fleeing New York for Florida, or a liberal family moving from Texas to Illinois, more than it does a Somali refugee seeking asylum in the U.S. Jesus did not immigrate to Egypt and did not seek to become a citizen there. Furthermore, the Roman Empire at the time did not grant most of the population the right to vote, and it did not award government benefits to Jewish refugees in Egypt. Modern Western democratic welfare states need to regulate immigration more heavily than ancient empires did, partly because immigrants and refugees often claim benefits from the public purse, and these aliens may also seek to influence politics by voting or other means. Merely shouting, “Jesus was a refugee!” does nothing to address the serious concerns that illegal immigration poses. Caring for ‘The Least of These’ Christians should, of course, heed the Matthew 25 parable in which Jesus says God will reward us for helping “the least of these.” We should care for the sick, feed the hungry, and clothe the naked, to the best of our ability. These commands to love our neighbor do not extend to using the force of the state to redistribute funds, however. Jesus calls on us to love our neighbors, not to bully our neighbors into forking over cash so the government can then serve other neighbors. That parable urges us to see Jesus in the least fortunate, and Christians are right to provide aid to those who are struggling. That doesn’t mean, however, that we must sacrifice national sovereignty or oppose the enforcement of immigration law. In our globalized world, Christians can and should help those in other countries before they seek to enter the U.S., and it would be grotesque for Christians to prioritize aid for those who violated the law to come to America over legal immigrants or the poor people who are still struggling in their own countries. Contrary to the suggestion of the Evanston church, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph were not political activists. Yes, Jesus came to usher in a new kingdom—but when the Jews sought to make him a king, he refused. Jesus did not set himself up as a political leader. Rather, he and his followers urged Jews and Christians to pay their taxes and to submit to the ruling authorities, knowing that the spiritual freedom of the gospel matters far more than any political cause. Jesus knew of political movements against Roman oppression, and he did not endorse them. Jesus’ decision not to lead a political rebellion against Rome likely contributed to the Jewish leaders’ scheme to have him executed. None of this is to say that Christians cannot support political causes, but it does mean that Mary and Joseph likely would not have joined the agitators who seek to block ICE from enforcing immigration law. Perhaps more importantly, ICE would not have removed Jesus from the manger—any more than it would remove conservative New Yorkers from Florida or liberal Texans from Illinois. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, not an excuse to demonize law enforcement. It’s high time for St. Susanna Parish to put the Christ child back in the center of the nativity scene where he belongs.)

DD: I have been unemployed since I was 49 in 1997 despite my having a job-related bachelor’s degree, three job-related master’s degrees, six job-related professional certifications, and a job-related professional license. Why is that? It is because my Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire and because of the many additional adverse actions that they took against me before that because I complained about their political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination,  and age discrimination and because I became an active member of a class action lawsuit that charged them with the aforesaid when I was 40 in 1988.

DD: Doctors discouraged my father from seeking a college degree because he had brittle type 1 diabetes. According to them, the stress would kill him. So he got an office job. He often decried his not having a degree. He was often passed over for promotions. He blamed his not having a degree for that, but his health problems were also a big factor. That led me to earn four degrees. A bachelor’s degree in management from NIU when I was 21 in 1970. An MBA from Loyola when I was 27. A master’s degree in accounting from DePaul when I was 31. And a master’s degree in finance from IIT when I was 48. That also led me to pass the CPA examination on first attempt when I was 30. To pass the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt when I was 32. To become a licensed CPA when I was 32. And to earn four more job-related professional certifications when I was 41, 45, 47, and 48.

They most commonly reject the platform’s personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration, illegal drugs, Second Amendment, and/or equal opportunity (no race of gender based preference giving) planks. By the time I got married when I was 29 in 1978, I had worked for IRS for almost 7 years and my salary was $108,978/year in today’s dollars. Some of the nation’s most prestigious colleges have been enrolling record numbers of low-income students as campuses prioritize economic diversity in the wake of a ban on affirmative action. (FROM THE ARTICLE: In legal memos, the White House has alleged that prioritizing students based on earnings or geography amounts to a “racial proxy” in violation of the Supreme Court’s 2023 decision against affirmative action. In a June letter, Trump officials accused the University of California-Los Angeles of “race-based admissions in all but name.” It criticized UCLA for considering factors like applicants’ family income, ZIP code and high school profile. Colleges often weigh that kind of information in admissions decisions. Yet the Trump administration has declared that the Supreme Court decision outlaws a wide range of long-accepted education practices, including scholarships targeting students in underserved areas.)

WASHINGTON POST
— A Democratic upset in Miami’s mayoral runoff this week is a wakeup call for Trump heading into the midterms. DD: What is the likelihood that the Republican candidates on the November 3, 2026 ballot in your precinct will win?

— DD: Democrat leaders promote IVF to give themselves cover to promote abortion. I should write about how my Democrat GAO superiors to get rid of me used against me my and my wife giving up trying to have children without trying IVF. They hinted/implied/argued/shouted that I lied about our efforts to have children. In 1989, to punish me, they rudely threw me off audits of IRS, rudely gave me a bad 6-month audit assignment in Iowa, rudely gave unfair performance expectations, rudely gave me an unfair performance appraisal, and rudely ranked me at the bottom of my coworkers for pay-for-performance. I should write about the aforesaid. Of course, Duckworth would applaud the aforesaid.

NATIONAL JURIST
— Northwestern Pritzker Law scholarship fund reaches $1 million to support public service careers.  DD: I worked for the Democrats who ran the federal government for almost 30 years. They always stressed that I wanted a career in the automotive industry and that none of my four degrees are in public service. In my defense, I would not have become a postal employee when I was 18 in 1966 if my high school friend had not asked me to join him in taking the postal employment test. I would not have become an IRS employee when I was 22 in 1971 if my Firestone Store boss had not fired me because I had accepted a job offer from Oldsmobile, an offer that Oldsmobile withdrew because it had just agreed to stop hiring Whites to settle an EEOC complaint.
