(FROM THE ARTICLE: A victim was wounded Saturday in the parking lot of the Ford City Mall while trying to fend off an attempted car theft. The victim, a 46-year-old man, was walking towards his parked vehicle outside the JCPenny store in the 7600-block of S Cicero around 12:40 p.m. when he saw someone trying to get into his car, according to police. The victim, who is a FOID and CCL holder, exchanged gunfire with the offender before the offender jumped in a nearby vehicle and fled, causing a traffic crash in the 79000-block of S. Pulaski Rd in the process, police said. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the hand and thigh, and was transported to Christ Hospital in fair condition. The offender sustained a graze wound to the head and was taken to the hospital in good condition, officials said. Three offenders were taken into custody and charges are pending.)

In a closed-door session during this week’s RNC meeting, two members working on the party’s 2022 audit debated whether “candidate quality” was to blame for midterm losses.” Ever-increasingly, in deciding which candidates to back in primaries and in nonpartisan races, conservative and Republican organizations give more and more and more weight to candidate demographics instead of candidate quadfurcations. Ever-increasingly, they give more and more and more preference to candidates who are minority, female, younger, non-conservative, non-Protestant, non-German American, and/or those whose ancestors have not been in America for a long time. I should write a book about how conservative and Republican organizations have ignored, dismissed, belittled, and badmouthed my qualifications: a) GAO Analyst for almost 18 years, the last 11 years of which at the GS-13 Step 1-10 Levels, currently $109,732-$142,650/year, b) IRS Revenue Officer for almost 9 years, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 Levels, currently $92,279-$104,583/year, c) I passed the CPA and Certified Internal Auditor examinations on my first attempt, d) I became a licensed CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner, Government Financial Manager, Financial Services Auditor, and Forensic Accountant, and e) I earned an MBA from Loyola, master’s degree in accounting from DePaul, and master’s degree in financial markets and trading from IIT. I should write a book about how the following ignored, dismissed, belittled, and badmouthed my qualifications: Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization. They would not have done that if I had been a minority, female, younger, non-conservative, non-Protestant, non-German American, and/or if my ancestors had not been in America for a long time.
— COMMENT: Democrats say “Mass shootings lead to widening divide on state gun policies.” Ever-increasingly, especially in Illinois, Democrats use mass shootings to abolish the Second Amendment. First to outlaw semiautomatic firearms and then to outlaw all firearms.
— COMMENT: Democrats say “Maine Republican Party elects Joel Stetkis as new chair.” In Illinois, anti-conservative Democrat plant, Libertarian plant, Green plant, Independent plant, and RINO Republican Party leaders blame Republican losses on the Republican Party platform and on those who support it. They especially blame the individual responsibility, traditional marriage/family, right to life, immigration, Second Amendment, illegal drugs, and equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks. I should write a book about the aforesaid anti-conservative Democrat plant, Libertarian plant, Green plant, Independent plant, and RINO Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization leaders.

— COMMENT: Democrats say “Student loan forgiveness: Here’s the number of eligible borrowers who applied by US state.” In Illinois, the number of borrowers who applied or were automatically deemed eligible is 1,044,000. Did you get a student loan? I did not. First off, I doubt that I could have gotten a student loan. I just barely made it into the upper 20% of Crete-Monee High School class of 1966. My ACT was only 24. Neither of my parents had attended college. My father was the first of my ancestors to earn a high school diploma. My mother never attended high school. My GPA and ACT would have been much higher if I had not washed dishes in the basement of the S.S. Kresge in Chicago Heights every evening Monday through Thursday during my junior and senior years and full-time during the summer in between. But if I had gotten a student loan, my GPA at UIC and at NIU would have been much higher and I would have majored in accounting instead of management. While I took classes at UIC 1966-1969 and at NIU 1969-1970, I worked as many hours as I possibly could for the Park Forest Post Office. Far too many times, I skipped classes on Mondays and on Fridays to work more hours.

— How to spot and report retaliation – Arcady Darter (COMMENT: While I worked for the Democrats who ran the Post Office 1966-1969, IRS 1971-1980, and GAO 1980-1997, I increasingly engaged in protected activities. I increasingly objected to my Democrat superiors giving preference to their employees who were Democrat, minority, female, and/or younger, that is, their increasing discrimination against their employees who were Republican, White, male, and/or older. My Democrat Post office superiors retaliated against me by disallowing my sick leave requests in 1968 and 1969 and forcing me to resign in 1969. My Democrat IRS superiors retaliated against me by a) disallowing my travel vouchers in 1974, b) forcing the IRS manager to transfer to Texas in 1975 who had promoted me to GS-9 in 1972, to GS-11 in 1973, and to GS-12 in 1974, c) not promoting me beyond GS-12, d) disallowing my education deductions in 1978, and e) getting GAO to offer me a transfer in 1980 only if I took a $21,863 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars. My Democrat GAO superiors retaliated against me by a) forcing me to take the aforesaid pay cut to transfer, b) giving me unfair job assignments, performance expectations, and performance appraisals, c) delaying my promotions to GS-11, GS-12, and GS-13, d) not promoting me to GS-14, e) keeping me off audits of IRS except for 3 years 1986-1988, f) forcing the GAO manager to retire in 1987 who had arranged for my transfer from IRS in 1980, assigned me to audits of IRS in 1986, and promoted me to GS-13 in 1986, g) always ranking me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, and h) forcing me to take their early retirement “offer” in 1997. Retaliation increased significantly after I became an active member in a class action lawsuit in 1988 that charged my GAO superiors with reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation.)
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Workplace retaliation can take many forms and it is important for employees to understand how to identify retaliation and the ways to report it. But how does one determine if an action is retaliatory? 3 Elements of retaliation Retaliation occurs when an employer takes actions or negative behaviors against an employee for engaging in legally protected Equal Employment Opportunity/Equal Opportunity (EEO/EO) activity such as reporting discrimination and harassment or participating in an investigation of harassment. Let’s break down the components of retaliation: First, for an employee or applicant to file a complaint on the basis of retaliation, they must have engaged in a protected activity. This means that the employee asserted their rights by filing an EEO/EO complaint, being a witness to an EEO/EO complaint, or simply contacting the Civil Rights Directorate for information regarding the complaint process. Pointing out exclusionary hiring practices, resisting sexual advances, or intervening to protect others from harassment or discrimination are also examples of protected activities. The second element of a retaliation claim is that after engaging in a protected activity, the employee or applicant suffers an unfavorable action from their employer. For instance, adverse actions can include being fired, being passed over for a promotion, or receiving low-performance reviews after speaking out and engaging in a protected activity. The final element of a retaliation claim is that there is a connection and evidence that shows the adverse action was taken because of the protected activity. This means that the employees’ participation in protected activity motivated the employer’s adverse action or behaviors.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: A total of 31,457 IRS employees completed the 2019 FEVS. Of those respondents, 38.5% were males and 61.5% were females; 67% were white; 21% were African American, and 12% were of other races. Nearly 15% were Millennials or Zoomers. Responses were weighted to provide a representative sample. These demographic characteristics were quite similar for IRS participants in the 2020 and 2021 FEVS.)
— Play by the rules (COMMENT: What shows that someone has played by the rules? They got an education, they got a job, and they saved for their retirement. My outstanding parents encouraged me to play by the rules. I earned a job-related bachelor’s degree (NIU-1970) and three job-related master’s degrees (Loyola-1976, DePaul-1980, and IIT-1997).
