— Ousted Madigan aide (Tim Mapes, age 63) eligible for hefty (more than $135,000/year) pension – Ray Long (DIERSEN: Are you in line to get a hefty pension or are you getting a hefty pension now? When is a pension hefty? When my Democrat GAO superiors ousted me in 1997 when I was 49 years old, my pension was only $51,864/year in today’s dollars. Of course, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes hint/imply/argue/shout that my Democrat GAO superiors ousted me because I was a bad employee like Mapes and a) NOT because since 1988 I had been an active member in a class action lawsuit that charged them with reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation; b) NOT because I had always complained about political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation; c) NOT because they were under tremendous pressure from Democrat politicians to get rid of their employees who shared my demographics (Republican, White, male, old, non-veteran); and d) NOT because Newt Gingrich had dramatically cut GAO’s budget and GAO had promised its employees who were minority, female, younger, and/or veteran that they would not suffer because of those dramatic budget cuts.)

— DISGUSTING, OUTRAGEOUS: Cook County allows video gambling in unincorporated areas – Gregory Pratt (DIERSEN: Gambling is a vice. If you promote gambling, you promote vice. Ever-increasingly, the Illinois Republican Party (IRP) shouts that it is anti-conservative, pro-Democrat, pro-Libertarian, and pro-Green. How soon, if not already, will the IRP officially banish conservatives, that is, how soon, if not already, will the IRP officially banish its base?)
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/politics/ct-met-cook-county-video-gambling-20180606-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: “This is an opportunity for us to bring in revenue from people who want to pay the revenue, not by forcing something on somebody,” Commissioner Tim Schneider, a Bartlett Republican, said during a meeting Tuesday where officials discussed the plan. When video gambling machines went live in Illinois during fall 2012, Cook County prohibited them from unincorporated areas. Under state law, each establishment authorized to operate video gambling is allowed up to five machines. Schneider, who proposed the expansion plan in unincorporated Cook County said the measure would allow businesses with a liquor license to apply for video gambling. There are approximately 60 businesses with liquor licenses in unincorporated Cook, Schneider said. Ninety out of 132 municipalities in the county have allowed video gambling, Schneider said, arguing that the expansion will allow business in unincorporated Cook County to compete with them and “level the playing field.” Currently, electronic gambling devices in Cook County are taxed $1,000 per machine and $200 per year per terminal, according to Edward Nelson, a spokesman for the county’s finance bureau. Gambling revenue from incorporated areas of Cook County is expected to bring in $2.1 million this fiscal year, which is an increase from the year before, Nelson said in an email. There was little debate over the measure inside the county building Wednesday, though commissioner Bridget Gainer, D-Chicago, voted no, saying gambling can “create an undue burden on families.” Schneider said video gambling is “carefully regulated.” Officials from municipalities that have adopted video gambling reported “limited or no problems,” he said. Commissioners voted 9-1 in favor of the plan, with three voting present. Anita Bedell, executive director of the Illinois Church Action on Alcohol and Addiction Problems, called the expansion a “very bad idea.” “More people will gamble,” Bedell said, and it will lead to increased social costs, including addiction and divorce. “The money comes from residents that lose the money,” Bedell said. Sean Morrison, R-Palos Park, echoed Schneider’s points about creating a “level playing field” for business. He said this will generate new revenue without being a “mandated tax.” “You gamble if you choose or you don’t,” he said.)

Inmates pay a fee for streaming music and movies, secure messaging and games during daytime hours.” Sheriff’s officials say the tablets have been proven to reduce inmate violence and staff assaults in other facilities. NPR ILLINOIS
— Does Rauner Support Trump Commuting Blagojevich’s 14-Year Sentence? – BRIAN MACKEY (DIERSEN: Does Rauner support Trump commuting my sentence? Being forced to take early retirement is a major adverse employment action. If you have been forced to take early retirement, you know how devastating it is. Constructively, since 1997, when I was 49 years old, the Democrats who run GAO have had the Civil Service Retirement System pay me $1,076,178 in today’s dollars to not come to work. Prior to that, they gave me unfair performance expectations and appraisals, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, did not promote me beyond GS-13, got rid of my mentor in 1987, kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forced me to take an $19,203 pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980.)

NORTH COOK NEWS
— Illinois Republican Party State Central Committee member Charlene Foss-Eggemann says grassroots involvement is key to November gubernatorial win – Robert Hadley (DIERSEN: Tragically, from what I see, the Illinois Republican Party (IRP) is divided between “Group A” individuals, organizations, and companies that want to dump voters who support the traditional family, right to life, immigration, and many other planks in the IRP platform and Group B individuals, organizations, and companies who support the IRP platform. Those in Group A voted for Rauner and those in Group B voted for Ives.)
https://northcooknews.com/stories/511445366-gop-committee-member-says-grassroots-involvement-is-key-to-november-gubernatorial-win
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Elected to represent Illinois’ Ninth Congressional District, Foss-Eggemann is positioning herself as a grassroots volunteer who is intent on providing a conservative voice from her district at the state level. “I will work to unify the Republican Party before we head into another tough gubernatorial election cycle,” she told the North Cook News. “I will also work toward facilitating the development of party volunteers, protecting the conservative planks of the party platform, bolstering our statewide fundraising efforts and improving the quality of our voter data.” But if she is sounding a somewhat conciliatory note, it may be because the party seems to have divided loyalties. Rauner, who won the primary by a scant 22,000-vote margin, faced opposition stirred up from “grassroots anger over [his] more liberal positions,” according to a May 19 piece in the State Journal-Register. However, that same report said that Tim Schneider, a member of Rauner’s camp, had won another term as chairman of the Illinois GOP, an indication that the party’s cracks—if there were any—are healing. “It’s important to note, however, that robust competition and debate is a cornerstone of our party’s principles,” Foss-Eggemann stated. “So I would not characterize a race as ‘division.’” But with a tough battle against Pritzker ahead, Foss-Eggemann is realistic about what it may take to keep the governor’s office in the GOP column. “We need to run with the opportunity and make the most of what we have,” she said. “We must all raise our game to make everyone feel welcome and do even more to engage and train grassroots volunteers. If we do these things, we win.”)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Having enjoyed my 82nd birthday, I am part of a group of about 50 million Americans who are 65 years of age or older. Those who are 90 or older were in school during the 1930s. My age cohort was in school during the 1940s. Baby boomers approaching their 70s were in school during the 1950s and early ’60s. Try this question to any one of those 50 million Americans who are 65 or older: Do you recall any discussions about the need to hire armed guards to protect students and teachers against school shootings? Do you remember school policemen patrolling the hallways? How many students were shot to death during the time you were in school? For me and those other Americans 65 or older, when we were in school, a conversation about hiring armed guards and having police patrol hallways would have been seen as lunacy. There was no reason.)

Technology and consulting median salaries were up just 9%, to $125,000 at technology companies and $147,000 at consulting firms, over the same period. Still, the share of Sloan graduates accepting jobs at financial-services firms was cut almost in half to 14% over that time, while technology’s share nearly doubled to 32%. At five of the top 10 schools, the share of newly-minted M.B.A.s accepting jobs in finance declined by more than 5 percentage points. “Over the last 10 years you’ve had an almost complete flip between finance and technology,” said Jean Ann Schulte, director of employer relations and recruiting services at MIT Sloan. https://www.fedsmith.com/2018/06/05/whos-blame-will-feds-culpable-lower-income-lost-benefits/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: What Can Feds Do? Federal employees can unify and rally against not only the design but the proposed actions with one dominant and cohesive voice. Contact elected officials as Tom has started doing. Elected officials and political parties’ points of view can be swayed and even transformed by substantial and persistent outcries. NARFE has an impressive resume of fighting for and successfully protecting federal income and benefits over several decades, but their numbers aren’t what they used to be. Federal employees concerned about and wishing to preserve their own personal incomes and benefits may well want to check into joining NARFE and other groups defending them. It appears obvious: take action or take what others decide you deserve. If changes come and Federal Employees do not unite against it, they will have no one to blame but themselves.)

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/white-house/trumps-war-on-the-washington-bureaucracy
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Bill Valdez fired two people during his 20 years as a manager in the federal workforce. One went quietly after an instance of undisputed misconduct. The other, accused of doing almost no work, refused to leave and used entrenched civil service protections to stay on the federal payroll for another eight years, claiming discrimination, disability, and unfair treatment. Such long goodbyes have proved so arduous and frustrating that many managers just give up, essentially resigning their ability to manage their staff. But they are about to become much less common, as President Trump signed three executive orders last month gutting rules that allow bad workers to prevent legitimate firings, and ending lucrative perks for the labor unions that helped put them in place. . .Once the new employee discipline procedures are implemented, “you give someone notice that their performance is unsatisfactory, and if they do not respond, you can remove them within 30 days,” he added. In the case of the employee who survived Valdez’s attempt at firing for eight years, he recalled, “it got conflated with other issues that delayed the dismissal.” “A federal employee who is removed from public service for performance issues has a right to appeal not only the performance issues but the other issues he or she believes are associated with that … even to federal courts,” he said. “What this [new] process does is say if you’re removed from federal service for poor performance, and if you wish to adjudicate this, go ahead, but you’re not going to do this while you’re put on administrative leave.” “What tends to happen is most appeals are ruled in the agency’s favor,” Valdez added, particularly from the Merit Systems Protection Board. . .The union leader says the reforms are a step toward making federal workers “at will” employees, allowing for political considerations in hiring and firing decisions. “Everyone knows President Trump has no respect for the rule of law and this is just the latest case,” Cox added. The White House official who worked on the orders says this is false, and that the federal workforce isn’t moving to at-will employment. But staff must be liable to firing for cause, either poor performance or misconduct.)

— GOP House reps give their nod to pension limitations – Angela Underwood (DIERSEN: Who wants to limit your pension? Since 1966, my Democrat critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have wanted to limit my Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) pension. According to them, only Democrats should get CSRS pensions. They are overjoyed a) that my Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, and did not promote me beyond GS-13, b) that my Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, and c) that my Democrat Post Office superiors forced me resign in 1969.)

AMERICAN THINKER
— Affirmative action in the control tower – Willie Shields (DIERSEN: I should write a book about Affirmative Action at GAO, at IRS, and at the Post Office.)
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2018/06/affirmative_action_in_the_control_tower.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: I don’t fly. When folks ask me why, the short answer is that I know too much: I’m a former FAA air traffic controller. It’s been recently reported that the FAA is now actively recruiting new trainees to work in the towers and control rooms directing airplanes and that the criteria they now utilize to screen applicants is a curiously absurd “biographical questionnaire.” Jason L. Riley in the Wall Street Journal: “A recently completed six-month investigation by Fox Business Network found that the Federal Aviation Administration has quietly moved away from merit-based hiring criteria in order to increase the number of women and minorities who staff airport control towers. The changes come despite the fact that the FAA’s own internal reports describe the evidence for changing the hiring process as “weak.” Until 2013, the FAA gave hiring preference to controller applicants who earned a degree from one of its Collegiate Training Initiative schools and scored high enough on an eight-hour screening test called the Air Traffic Selection and Training exam, or AT-SAT, which measures cognitive skills. The Obama administration, however, determined that the process excluded too many from minority groups. In May 2013, the FAA’s civil rights administrator issued “barrier analyses” of the agency’s employment procedures, which recommended “revising how the AT-SAT is used in establishing best-qualified lists.” By the start of last year, the FAA was using a biographical questionnaire (BQ) to initially vet potential hires. The questions – “How many sports did you play in high school?”, “What has been the major cause of your failures?” – seem designed to elicit stories of personal disadvantage or family hardship rather than determine success on the job.” I can tell you with absolute certainty that the FAA Air Traffic Control Division has been down with the affirmative action program for a long time. The PATCO controllers’ strike during the summer of 1981 seemingly gave the “fire whitey” gang the opening they craved. There was one problem. The air traffic system needed to get back up and running smoothly, and especially safely, so that Ronald Reagan’s mass firing would look reasonable. So they quickly hired aviation-experienced people, including pilots and experienced military air traffic controllers. I was one of them. Granted, some of these well qualified new guys were black, but no one would look upon this new controller work force and call it a model of so-called diversity. The big push for hiring other than pale males would have to wait. Safety first, as it were. A few things happened in the next few years. First, the FAA stopped reporting aviation incidents, including near mid-air collisions and runway incursions. When safety incidents are under-reported or deceitfully downgraded, the system starts to look like perfection, and the FAA will gladly report, as it frequently does, that it is “The Safest System In The World.” These people want the flying public to skate out onto the ice, even as they are lying about how thin the ice is, and while we are at it, how warm it is today.)

Since 1966, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have stressed to veterans, and to everyone else, that I sought and obtained four student draft deferments 1966-1970 and a financial hardship draft deferment 1970-1971. They hint/imply/argue/shout that I am a draft dodger, political hypocrite, coward, and even worse things, and that I should be punished for getting those deferments. While I worked for the federal government 1966-1969 and 1971-1997, most, and at times, virtually all of my superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates were veterans. All during the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO 1980-1997, the agency downsized. All during those almost 18 years, GAO’s employees who were veterans were specifically protected from suffering the adverse impact of that downsizing. If I had been a veteran, GAO could not and would not have forced me to take its early retirement “offer” in 1997.)

In Hillary Clinton’s case, the former secretary of state never had a chance to be drafted, so that was an easy one in 2016. Donald Trump, on the other hand, was certainly of draft age during Vietnam yet never served in the war. Upon further investigation, it turned out Trump, who’s mocked the record of U.S. war heroes, avoided combat because of a weakness in his foot. Trump is not alone when it comes to politicians and other self-proclaimed patriots who dodged military service. Here are eight other famous Americans who received draft deferments, including one former president. . .John Wayne. . .Dick Chaney. . .Mitt Romney. . .Bill Clinton. . .Rudy Giuliani. . .Rush Limbaugh. . .Ted Nugent. . .Bill O’Reilly. . .Donald Trump)

PEOPLE’S WORLD
— Federal workers union sues Trump over executive order (DIERSEN: My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always promoted patronage. Because I have always been a Republican, were it not for federal civil service protections, a) the Post Office would NOT have hired me in 1966 or let me work there for almost 3 years, b) IRS would NOT have hired me in 1971 or let me work there for almost 9 years, c) IRS would NOT have promoted me in 1972, 1973, or 1974, d) GAO would NOT have hired me in 1980 or let me work there for almost 18 years, and e) GAO would NOT have promoted me in 1986.)
https://www.peoplesworld.org/article/federal-workers-union-sues-trump-over-executive-order/

(FROM THE ARTICLE: When instituted, Trump’s orders tell agencies that workers whom managers found below-average would have 30 days to correct their faults, and could be immediately fired, rather than just disciplined, if they failed. Seniority would go out the window when federal agencies must lay off workers. And agencies could trade disciplinary information about a worker, allowing potential blacklisting. Grievances and arbitrations—which unions use to defend workers—would cover fewer issues and would cover “misconduct or unacceptable performance,” Trump’s orders say. His edicts left those terms undefined. And workers could not file grievances if bosses denied them regular pay raises Congress passed, bonuses they earned, or both. “These executive orders are a direct assault on the legal rights and protections Congress has specifically guaranteed to the 2 million public-sector employees across the country who work for the federal government,” Cox added. “This administration seems hell-bent on replacing a civil service that works for all taxpayers with a political service that serves at its whim.” In a later hasty press call after Trump’s original announcement, Cox added, “This is basically an attempt to make federal employees ‘at will’ employees so you can hire whoever voted for you and put on your bumper sticker during the last election.” He also said Trump is yanking protection from whistleblowers while shielding corrupt managers who play favorites. “The executive orders indicate an administration threatened by workers with rights,” NTEU President Reardon said. “The truth is these orders will disrupt the work-places of every agency, add red tape and impede the quality work taxpayers expect and deserve.”)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: A proposed class action lawsuit alleging Facebook’s ad placement tools facilitate discrimination against older job-seekers has been expanded to identify additional companies, further widening the latest front in claims that candidates are being filtered out by gender, geography, race and age. “When Facebook’s own algorithm disproportionately directs ads to younger workers at the exclusion of older workers, Facebook and the advertisers who are using Facebook as an agent to send their advertisements are engaging in disparate treatment,” a communications union alleged in the amended complaint- citing a legal test for employment discrimination-filed Tuesday in San Francisco federal court. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/commentary/ct-perspec-midlife-crisis-changing-slump-0601-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Today I know why: Recent research in economics, psychology and neuroscience shows that aging has an independent effect on life satisfaction, separate from factors such as health, wealth and other life circumstances. In other words, time is not an emotionally neutral backdrop. Instead, its effect on happiness is U-shaped: Other things being equal, people’s life satisfaction tends to decline from their early 20s until midlife, then turns around at about age 50. Armed with this knowledge, I often wish I could go back and warn the pre-40 me of what was coming. I first started to notice the onset of nagging dissatisfaction around my 40th birthday; I figured it would pass. But counting my blessings, as I often did, only deepened my funk. As my 40s went on, the perplexing feelings of restlessness and regret deepened. At 45, I attained the highest prize in my profession, yet not even that success hushed the inner critics saying I had wasted my life. By my late 40s, I painfully concluded that dissatisfaction and ingratitude were my new normal.)

— The wife of Chicago’s police superintendent has filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, claiming she’s a victim of discrimination. (DIERSEN: While I worked for GAO 1980-1997, all the many employees who my Democrat superiors assigned me to supervise were one or more of the following: Democrat, minority, female, older, disabled, veteran, and/or an employee who they wanted to get rid of. No minority employee ever charged me with discriminating against minorities. No female employee ever charged me with discriminating against females. No older employee ever charged me with discriminating against older employees. No disabled employee ever charged me with discriminating against disabled employees. My Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, got rid of my mentor in 1975, and disallowed my partial day per diem claims in 1974. My Democrat Post Office superiors forced me resign in 1969 and disallowed my sick leave requests in 1969 and 1968.)

It also reminds agencies that the probationary period is the final step in the hiring process. . .This section says “Agencies shall not agree to erase, remove, alter, or withhold from another agency any information about a civilian employee’s performance or conduct in that employee’s official personnel records, including an employee’s Official Personnel Folder and Employee Performance File, as part of, or as a condition to, resolving a formal or informal complaint by the employee or settling an administrative challenge to an adverse personnel action.”)

Both Roskam and Hultgren endorsed me in 2000 when I first ran for Republican Precinct Committeeman. Roskam supporters should read anti-Roskam letters that are published. It is called opposition research. Reading the letters help you understand the arguments that Democrats are making, and therefore, help you counter those arguments.

(FROM THE ARTICLE: The Republican Evans would have Democratic Rep. Mike Halpin in November should he remain on the ballot. But Mielke and several party officials this week sought the suspension of Evans’ campaign after a background check uncovered a raft of charges related to domestic violence stretching back decades. While most were dropped, an Indiana judge issued a warrant for Evans arrest after he failed to appear for a probation hearing. In 2009, Evans’ wife filed an emergency order of protection. Evans’ history is clearly problematic, if not troubling. Mielke was right to try to expunge him.)

Jennifer Horn, former state party chairman, was excluded from participating in the state party convention over the weekend on a technicality. She had sought to amend the party’s platform plank on marriage, which states that party members: “Recognize marriage as the legal and sacred union between one man and one woman as ordained by God, encouraged by the state and traditional to humankind, and the core of the family.” Horn also wanted to change the party’ support for “traditional families” to “nurturing families,” according to The Union Leader. Horn has recently moved from one ward in Nashua to another, and on that basis convention delegates meeting in Meredith voted to exclude her from taking part in the meeting, according to The Union Leader.)

https://www.theknifemedia.com/world-news/elon-musk-plans-media-credibility-site-medias-response-may-support-argument/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Elon Musk tweets about media, creating a site to rate journalists On Wednesday, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeted, “The holier-than-thou hypocrisy of big media companies who lay claim to the truth, but publish only enough to sugarcoat the lie, is why the public no longer respects them.” Musk later tweeted, “Going to create a site where the public can rate the core truth of any article & track the credibility score over time of each journalist, editor & publication. Thinking of calling it Pravda ….” . . . The media’s response to Elon Musk’s comments may have done more to support his argument than to refute it. In many cases, news outlets distorted their coverage with sensational language, one-sided reporting and faulty reasoning. This is reflected in The Knife’s objectivity ratings, which found The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post and USA Today scored between 35 and 42 percent out of 100. These low scores may highlight the importance of applying standards that can hold news outlets accountable for distorted reporting. There are four parts to The Knife’s ratings — spin (the amount of subjective and dramatic language in an article), slant (how much an article supports a single viewpoint), logic (the amount of faulty reasoning in an article), and data (inaccuracies and missing information). Below we’ll examine how spin, slant and faulty reasoning contributed to the overall objectivity ratings for these outlets.)

David MacNeil, who employs 1,600 people through his Bolingbrook-based WeatherTech automotive company, told POLITICO in an interview that the issue has grown deeply personal, given that a top employee in his company could face deportation if a deal isn’t reached for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. MacNeil is the second prominent Chicago-area businessman and GOP donor in a week to cut off or threaten to withhold campaign contributions over the immigration debate. On Wednesday, former Exelon CEO John Rowe told POLITICO he would cut off resources to Republicans who refuse to sign onto a discharge petition that would force a vote on legislation related to so-called “Dreamers,” while rewarding those who did with contributions and fundraising events. Both Rowe and MacNeil belong to the Illinois Business Immigration Coalition, which is calling on GOP lawmakers to sign the DACA discharge petition. “I’m saying this as a political donor who’s donated seven figures in the last couple of years: I will not donate any more money to anyone who doesn’t support DACA, period,” MacNeil said in a phone call while traveling in Italy. “I’m putting my money where my mouth is.” MacNeil is among the CEOs who backed Trump before the 2016 election, inspired by the campaign’s “Make America Great Again,” mantra. A Canadian emigrant who is now a U.S. citizen, MacNeil has long touted that his own products are made in America. He underwrote a Trump fundraiser in Bolingbrook just before the 2016 election, then gave $1 million to Trump’s inaugural committee. MacNeil said that a top-performing employee who has been with him for more than 10 years will represent the WeatherTech at the Governor’s Export Awards reception Thursday night, in which the company is a finalist. The employee was brought to the country as a toddler.)

Further, obviously, Rauner’s political consultants tell him that more anti-Trumps than pro-Trumps will vote in the November 6, 2018 election, so he should dump voters, dump organizations, dump companies, dump etc. that support Trump. Needless-to-say, no political consultant who is a Republican would give Rauner the aforesaid advice.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: But Uihlein broke from Rauner after his signature on legislation expanding taxpayer-subsidized abortions and backed Ives, the three-term Wheaton Republican who narrowly lost to Rauner in March. Uihlein gave her $2.5 million. “Jeanne proved that people are hungry for change,” Uihlein says in the article. Author John J. Miller writes that Uihlein is “now skeptical about Rauner’s ability to deliver (change) but says that the Democratic gubernatorial candidate, J.B. Pritzker, would be a disaster for Illinois: ‘I will vote for Rauner over Pritzker.’ ” State Sen. Sam McCann, a Republican from Downstate Plainview, is also mounting a third-party bid. The article also recounts how Uihlein met John Tillman, chairman and CEO of the Illinois Policy Institute. Last decade, Tillman was looking for work after selling his used sporting goods store. “I’d been getting the Uline catalog for a while,” Tillman said. “So I wrote a letter to the owner.” The article says Tillman and Uihlein met, but their conversation turned to what was described as “Tillman’s real passion: creating a network of freedom-minded organizations in Illinois.” “Dick became my anchor donor,” Tillman says in the article, adding that Uihlein gave him $50,000 in seed money to start the institute. Millions more from Uihlein have flowed since. In February, Rauner said he wouldn’t give the institute “another nickel.”)

Uihlein gave $95,000 to Proft’s failed bid for the GOP governor nomination in 2010, then gave him an additional $500,000 later to help seed Proft’s political operation. Since then, Uihlein has given Proft’s Liberty Principles political action committee $12.1 million, including $3 million in January. And Uihlein has become a prolific donor to federal candidates, including giving $100,000 to a super PAC backing Republican Roy Moore in a special Senate election in Alabama. Moore was accused of sexually molesting or assaulting teens ages 14 and 16 while he was in his 30s. Moore denied the allegations but lost the election to Democrat Doug Jones.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: “We cannot underestimate the desperation of the opposition,” he wrote. “We can no longer trust them to police themselves. They have demonstrated their willingness to treat our tax dollars like they are in their own personal piggy banks.” Anderson pointed to “shameful spending” in Algonquin Township, McHenry County’s most populous township and the center of budget-busting legal fees, corruption allegations and political infighting. He noted that the names of contributors will appear on reports to the state of Illinois if they donate $150 or more. “If you strongly support us but do not want to be identified by the entrenched politicians who want to perpetuate the current system, send us $149.00 and encourage your spouse, kids or a friend to make a contribution,” Anderson wrote. “It has been said that evil thrives when good people do nothing. https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/25/politics/kfile-illinois-republican-nominee-illuminati/index.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The Illinois Republican Party did not respond to a request for comment. Another Illinois Republican nominee for a House seat, neo-Nazi Arthur Jones, has been rejected by national Republicans and the state party for denying the Holocaust. In a 2014 post, Fawell speculated that New York City was going to be destroyed in a false flag attack by the deep state in either the year 2016 or 2017. New York City is going to be destroyed in the biggest, baddest false flag attack ever made by any organization upon the American People in a Pearl Harbor redux,” Fawell wrote. (False flag attacks are acts designed by perpetrators to look like they were carried out by other individuals or groups.) He said that the attack would be made in an attempt to drag America into war, and that financial institutions were already withdrawing money from New York in preparation for the supposed attack. In another post in 2014, he wrote that then-President Barack Obama created false flag attacks to shore up support for his foreign policy intervention against ISIS. In addition to alleging conspiracies, Fawell used sexist and racist slurs against politicians.)

— Discharged and jobless: Veterans seek change in hiring rules – AP (DIERSEN: Have you been discharged? My Democrat GAO superiors discharged me in 1997 when I was 49 years old. Further, as documents filed in Diersen v. GAO show, my Democrat GAO superiors want me to be jobless. They want to send a message to current and potential future GAO employees that a) GAO gives preference to its employees who are Democrat, minority, female, and/or younger and b) gets rid of its employees who are Republican, White, male, and/or non-veteran who do not make do not make GS-13 (currently $96,403) by age 25, GS-14 (currently $113,920) by age 30, GS-15 (currently $134,000) by age 35, and Senior Executive Service (currently $164,200) by age 40.)
http://www.sacbee.com/news/article211891489.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Military veterans who were discharged for relatively minor offenses say they often can’t get jobs, and they hope a recent warning to employers by the state of Connecticut will change that. The state’s human rights commission told employers last month they could be breaking the law if they discriminate against veterans with some types of less-than-honorable discharges. Blanket policies against hiring such veterans could be discriminatory, the commission said, because the military has issued them disproportionately to black, Latino, gay and disabled veterans. At least one other state, Illinois, already prohibits hiring discrimination based on a veteran’s discharge status, advocates say, but Connecticut appears to be the first to base its decision on what it deems discrimination by the military. Regardless of the state’s reasons, veterans say, the attention there could at least educate employers.)
