Biden may not have comprehended the extent of this policy but the figurative politburo that operated the autopen fully understood the scope, scale, and repercussion of their actions. Democrat politicians walk the party line contrived by this politburo. This is clarified by the efforts of Democrat mayors and governors to keep the millions that illegally entered the country safely ensconced in their sanctuary cities and states. Maintenance of these sanctuaries comes at a high cost. The open border attracted criminal aliens like moths to a flame. Stories of murder, rape, child molestation, deadly DUI driving, prostitution, and drug trafficking are so numerous they have become cliche. Newsweek estimates illegal immigration costs taxpayers $150 billion annually. Why do Democrats defend a policy that presents so much danger at such great expense to the American people? Many Democrats don’t consider illegal entry into the country to be criminal behavior. Kamala Harris said, “An undocumented immigrant is not a criminal.” Be assured, though, that if illegal aliens were entering the country clamoring to support conservative causes, Democrats would insist that all entrants possess proper identification and carefully follow the laws of the United States. Behind the gentle façade that Democrats expose to the public lies a political motivation. The number of House representatives that states send to Congress is based on the state’s population. The U.S. Census has traditionally counted individuals in the country regardless of citizenship status. During his first term, President Trump changed this in a memorandum saying, “For the purpose of the reapportionment of representatives following the 2020 Census, it is the policy of the United States to exclude from the apportionment base aliens who are not in a lawful immigration status under the Immigration and Nationality Act.” Biden revised Trump’s immigration policies and made sure illegal aliens were included in the 2020 Census. Blue state governors and mayors attract illegal aliens to their sanctuaries with promises of cash, health care, food, and shelter. The more illegal immigrants that reside in a state, the more representatives the state will receive. Electoral votes are based on the number of representatives a state has, so presidential elections are also impacted. Democrats will admit illegal aliens, verse them in liberal activism, and make them citizens who vote for their Democrat sponsors. In his farewell address, President Washington warned of a dangerous political faction attempting, “to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government”. The American people elected President Trump to defend the republic from the Democrats’ subversive scheme. During the 2024 campaign, Trump promised the largest deportation effort in U.S. history. Democrats now fight the government to keep their scheme in place and bring it to fruition. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is “willing to fight to the death” to protect illegal aliens in his state. Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker draws moral equivalence between Trump’s immigration policies and Hitler sending Jews to death camps. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz called ICE agents, “a modern day Gestapo.” These governors and a plethora of other Democrat politicians are toeing the party line. The politburo ordered the border open and allowed millions of aliens into the country. Democrats spent hundreds of billions of dollars to attract these aliens even though they overwhelmed the legal and social infrastructure of their states. Yet one of the primary reasons for Democrats’ loss to Trump was their inane immigration policy. After expending huge sums of money and political capital, Democrats are now using all available means to keep illegal aliens in their sanctuaries. ICE and other federal agents enforcing immigration law find themselves in difficult situations. Democrats have threatened to release an app that tracks the movement of ICE agents. Blue state politicians are not only undermining ICE but call on their constituents to actively interfere with the work of federal agencies. This is obstruction of justice. More seriously, Democrats are inviting liberal activists to engage in violent behavior to assure illegal aliens remain in their states. A cross-sectional group that has worn Che t-shirts and clutched Mao’s Little Red Book believing that “political power grows out of the barrel of a gun,” while visions of the Weather Underground dance in their heads is a group willing to do whatever it takes to advance the cause. Far left groups search for reasons to launch a revolution. When Democrat politicians paint Trump as a fascist who will suspend the 2028 election and make himself king, leftist lunatics will resolve the matter with violence. At least two attempts have been made to assassinate Trump. Charlie Kirk, the bright future of the conservative movement, was killed by an assassin who etched “hey, fascist! CATCH!” on bullet casings found with the gun used to kill him. Mexican drug cartels have placed bounties on the heads of ICE agents. A Minnesota man was recently arrested for posting an offer of $45,000 for the death of Attorney General Pam Bondi on the internet. Radical leftists have attacked ICE facilities all over the country. The John Brown Gun Club is a Marxist organization dedicated to the proposition of revolution. After Kirk’s assassination, the Club’s Washington DC branch advertised with a flyer reading, “Hey, fascist! Catch” to attract new members. Willem van Spronsen, a member of the Puget Sound branch, was killed in Seattle in 2019 while attacking an ICE detention facility with Molotov cocktails, armed with a semiautomatic rifle. Van Spronsen proudly proclaimed, “I am antifa.” Leftist groups will riot against any version of oppression anyone can conjure. Last year it was Palestine, this year immigration, who knows what comes next? They are the gasoline that leftist politicians, educators, and media have distilled. A cadre of Democrat politicians play with fire, striking matches as they dance blithely around their volatile followers. The basis of our political system is the rule of law. Enforcement of immigration law is the responsibility of the federal government. Democrats have thumbed their noses at the law and demand that Trump do the same. Trump will enforce the law because it is the right thing to do and enforcement fulfills a promise he made to the American people. It is likely Democrats will continue to ratchet up the pressure. They will either fan the flames of violence or ignite the inferno of insurrection. Their dance continues. The matches they strike are in the air.)

On November 5, Holly Kruckenberg and Amelia O’Neal will be sworn into the Illinois Bar at an admission ceremony that also marks their first official court appearance as attorneys. Both began as Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711 interns, gaining real courtroom experience under the supervision of veteran Assistant State’s Attorneys. It’s a program designed to prepare future prosecutors for the challenges and rewards of public service. “Our intern program which employs these 711 law students is an essential part of how we train the next generation of attorneys,” said State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser. “We’re proud to give law students the opportunity to develop practical skills, gain courtroom experience, and see firsthand the importance of public service. At last count, about 2 million people across the country were receiving one each year. But a loose-knit movement has emerged that wants to dramatically reduce the number of these degrees issued by U.S. colleges and universities. Republican politicians and conservative firebrands have made that goal explicit. Christopher Rufo, whose ideas have been a driving force behind the Trump administration’s assault on higher education, told the Wall Street Journal that he wants to see the number of Americans enrolling in four-year colleges cut in half. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon has said Americans should be rethinking the role of a four-year degree in American life — perhaps reserving it to train people for a small number of professions. The message is also coming from elsewhere. Randi Weingarten, the head of the American Federation of Teachers, which is strongly aligned with Democrats, urged New York Times readers to “stop trying to make everyone go to college.” During her presidential campaign, Democratic nominee Kamala Harris said that if elected, she would get rid of any unnecessary degree requirements for federal jobs. And it’s not just rhetoric. Congress recently opened up more government funding for students who want to pursue very short-term programs. In its settlement with the White House, Brown University agreed to pay $50 million to workforce-development organizations. President Donald Trump has said he’d like an agreement with Harvard University to include funding for trade schools. In a document laying out their workforce strategy, Trump administration officials said “the ‘college for all approach’ has failed” and pledged to use the might of the government and its funds to bolster alternatives. A growing number of colleges and universities are looking to appeal to those who doubt the value of a traditional bachelor’s degree by offering three-year programs. In a perhaps more subtle attack on college-going, changes coming from the Republican megabill passed this summer will, for many people, make student loans harder to repay. The war on the bachelor’s degree is the culmination of a broad skepticism of higher education that has been building for years. Factors like rising student debt and high-profile examples of people becoming successful without a degree have helped fuel questions about the value that colleges and universities deliver. Peter Thiel, the prominent Silicon Valley venture capitalist, has been paying high-achieving kids to skip college through his fellowship program since 2011. There’s reason to be concerned. About half of students who earn a bachelor’s degree from a public or private nonprofit four-year college use debt to finance it, borrowing roughly $30,000 on average, according to the College Board. That’s manageable if you have a job, but the unemployment rate for young college graduates is the highest it’s been in more than a decade, outside of the pandemic, and colleges broadly don’t appear equipped to prepare students for a labor market powered by artificial intelligence. Still, the proponents of tearing down the bachelor degree from its prominent role in American life offer few viable substitutes that can be applied broadly today, experts say. The absence of widely available good alternatives to achieving financial stability means a bachelor’s degree remains the best shot at a decent financial life for many Americans. In the next seven years, the U.S. will need 4.5 million more workers with at least a bachelor’s degree, according to Georgetown University’s Center for Education and the Workforce. Right now, more than 500,000 students from the top half of their high school class don’t go on to complete a college credential every year, the center found. “All else being equal, getting a bachelor’s degree is still going to be the best return on investment for most students,” said Rajeev Darolia, an economist at the University of Kentucky who is studying the returns for alternatives to the bachelor’s degree like shorter-term programs. “It also leads to potentially more flexible and lucrative career paths.” He added: “What worries me is that we could be diverting students away from investments, longer-term degrees that are likely to have higher returns,” noting that he’s particularly concerned about poorer students being pushed toward the cheaper option.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: The devolution of Illinois’ Republican Party continued Tuesday as a candidate for governor refused to denounce two political operatives tied to a right-wing fake newspaper website that published a story containing an internet link detailing salacious allegations against a rival, while a new candidate emerged with a controversial background as a gambling mogul. At a brief news conference, GOP governor candidate Ted Dabrowski refused to discuss the public disclosure of a years-old draft harassment complaint involving rival Darren Bailey and his 2022 campaign. The allegations, stemming from Bailey’s failed 2022 bid for governor, were never formally filed in court and have not been verified, but were linked to a politically motivated news article shared online. Dabrowski, former president of the conservative research and advocacy group Wirepoints, also would not answer questions about Jeanne Ives and right-wing radio talk show host Dan Proft, both of whom supported Bailey in 2022 but are now backing Dabrowski. Ives is an acolyte of Proft, and Proft has been a business partner of Brian Timpone, who oversees one of many so-called “pink-slime” publications — fake newspapers used as a political tool — that included a link to the unverified claims. Ives, who has lost previous bids for governor and Congress, also posted the article with the link on her Facebook page. “Ordinary Illinoisans, Chicagoans, Illinoisans, don’t care about political infighting between campaigns. And I’m not going to get into that,” Dabrowski said during the news conference, which lasted less than 10 minutes. The GOP race for governor in the March 17 primary and the right to take on billionaire second-term Democrat JB Pritzker began spiraling late last week when a Timpone-run publication posted the link to a 37-page confidential draft lawsuit within an online article about a political action committee called the Save Illinois PAC. That PAC, which spent over $39,500 to help launch Bailey’s second bid for the Republican nomination for governor, is run by Brett Corrigan, a former political worker for Bailey who made the allegations during Bailey’s first run for governor in 2022, when he was 17 years old. The Tribune is not detailing the allegations contained in the draft lawsuit because it was never filed in court and not verified, and the legal dispute apparently ended in a closed-door resolution between Corrigan and Bailey. The Chicago Tribune first reported on the dispute between Corrigan and the Bailey campaign days before the November 2022 general election. At the time of the 2022 campaign, Proft was supportive of Bailey and used his People Who Play By The Rules PAC to back the Republican former state lawmaker from downstate. Proft, of Naples, Florida, also has been the conduit of tens of millions of dollars in contributions to Illinois candidates from conservative megadonor Richard Uihlein of Lake Forest, who founded the Uline office supply distribution firm. Uihlein, in 2022, overwhelmingly funded the People Who Play By The Rules PAC, but this year has given $250,000 to Dabrowski’s campaign. In 2022, Proft sought to inject himself into the potential litigation between Corrigan and Bailey. By law, the PAC was not supposed to coordinate its spending activities with Bailey’s campaign but text messages show efforts by Proft to try to intercede in the legal matter, raising questions over whether Proft was closer to the campaign than previously acknowledged. After Corrigan retained Orland Park attorney Scott Kaspar to pursue a proposed confidential settlement agreement, Proft weighed in, apparently in an effort to quash the filing of a possible lawsuit that could become public ahead of the 2022 general election. Pritzker ended up defeating Bailey by about 13 percentage points. The Democratic Party of Illinois filed a complaint with the Illinois State Board of Elections the day after the Tribune story was published, alleging Proft and Bailey’s campaign illegally coordinated their efforts to oppose Pritzker’s reelection bid. But the board rejected the complaint last year, in part, because Illinois law does not specifically define what activities constitute “coordination” that would render the actions of an independent expenditure PAC and the candidate it supports illegal. “While Darren Bailey and (his lieutenant governor running mate) Aaron Del Mar are focused on defeating Democrats and fixing Illinois, it’s unfortunate that Jeanne Ives is once again reprising her role as the Democrats’ favorite ‘Republican,’” Bailey campaign spokesman Jose Durbin said in a statement. “Jeanne Ives is a sore loser who’s been bitter ever since she couldn’t even beat (former one-term GOP Gov.) Bruce Rauner in a Republican primary. She’s made a career out of attacking fellow conservatives instead of fighting Democrats. At this point, she’s nothing more than a political grifter looking for attention.” Besides sharing the faux-news article and link on her Facebook page, Ives also commented on it by writing, “The Bailey Clown Show and Grift.” Appearing at Dabrowski’s news conference Tuesday, she denied being the source of the draft complaint. “I have no idea who leaked it. Zero idea,” Ives said. “I was concerned about the ‘Save Illinois PAC.’ They raise monies for reasons that they never told the donors at all. And then they gave $40,000 to the Bailey campaign. I mean, that was the bigger concern for me.” Despite hosting a Bailey kickoff event earlier this year in Oak Brook, Corrigan has now left Bailey’s 2026 campaign, signing up as chair for a new contender, Rick Heidner of Barrington Hills, a real estate developer and founder of Gold Rush Gaming. Heidner filed campaign finance paperwork Tuesday to run for the GOP governor nomination with Homer Glen Mayor Christina Neitzke-Troike as his running mate. He also disclosed that he had seeded his campaign with $1 million. In October 2019, a Chicago Tribune investigation revealed that for nearly two decades, Heidner owned numerous commercial properties via shell companies in several states with Rocco Suspenzi, the longtime chairman and part owner of Parkway Bank and Trust in Harwood Heights. In 2003, the Illinois Gaming Board and the FBI exposed Suspenzi and son Jeffrey for concealing their own ownership stake, as well as that of a reputed mob figure, in the infamous Emerald casino project. Suspenzi and his son invoked their Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination in 2005 when the Gaming Board sought to question them about their role in concealing the ownership stakes of reputed Outfit-linked investors Vito Salamone and Nick Boscarino. At the same time, Heidner had a similar real estate partnership with convicted bookmaker Dominic Buttitta. Together, they owned a building in Elgin that was leased to a bar licensed for video gambling that used Heidner’s Gold Rush machines. In 2012, Buttitta pleaded guilty to federal charges of running an illegal sportsbook from the South Elgin strip club he controlled. The revelations led in part to Pritzker’s decision to cancel the sale of the former Tinley Park Mental Health Center property, which Heidner had sought to purchase for a horse racing and casino facility. In April 2021, Heidner and state gaming regulators reached a settlement after the state withdrew allegations that he had offered an illegal $5 million inducement to purchase a rival video gambling chain. Heidner has been a frequent political donor, in February giving $25,000 to the conservative Republican group McHenry GOPAC and in 2022 he gave $25,000 to Richard Irvin, the former mayor of Aurora, who unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for governor that year. But Heidner has also contributed to Democratic candidates, including $25,000 to Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and $5,000 to Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle in 2023, as well as $5,000 to Don Harmon, now the president of the Illinois Senate, in 2017. Corrigan confirmed that he’s supporting Heidner, stating that he and Heidner have been good friends for a long time. But Corrigan said he still considers Bailey a friend, though there are people who could take their previous falling out “to make a mess of politics.” “It seems like Republicans attack each other harder than the opposition does,” Corrigan said. Kaspar echoed that sentiment, saying the infighting is “a sad testament of the state of the Illinois Republican Party.” “It’s a very fractured party,” said Kaspar, the general counsel for the Illinois Review, a conservative website that published an article about the draft complaint saga this week.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: There is a glaring underrepresentation of infants, toddlers, and young children on school boards and in government. Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies are clearly ageist, discriminating against these groups and preventing them from representing themselves. Millions of children are affected by decisions made without anyone who “looks or sounds like them” at the decision-making table. If DEI logic is taken seriously, that representation should mirror population percentages rather than qualifications or experience, then toddlers have every right to demand inclusion. After all, they make up a sizable demographic, they are directly affected by policy, and they have very strong opinions on juice boxes, nap schedules, and the universal injustice of bedtime. Imagine a two-year-old on the school board. Meetings might begin with finger painting and end in tears, but at least they would be authentic. Lunch breaks would feature an assortment of animal crackers and pouches of applesauce. Committee debates would be passionate and loud, though perhaps less hypocritical than those of some adults. When discussions stall, one member could dramatically throw their sippy cup to the floor, signaling that it is time for a recess, a literal one. The irony, of course, is that this absurd scenario perfectly illustrates the flaw in the ideology of enforced representational equity. When equal outcomes become the standard of justice, logic ceases to matter. There is no limit to the number of categories one can divide humanity into, nor to the demands that each be represented proportionally in every institution. But representation alone does not create justice or competence. A government made up of every possible demographic box in perfect statistical alignment would still fail if it lacked wisdom, discipline, and moral integrity. The best ideas are not born of diversity quotas; they are born of reason, virtue, and experience, things toddlers, despite their charm, have not yet developed. Equality of opportunity means that anyone, regardless of background, has the chance to pursue a role if they earn it. Equality of outcome means everyone must end up in the same place, regardless of effort or capability. The former encourages excellence, while the latter destroys it. It replaces earned achievement with administrative engineering, a moral sleight of hand that values appearance over substance. Equity, as often practiced, treats disparities as evidence of discrimination rather than as a reflection of natural variation in interest, skill, or choice. Not every imbalance is an injustice. There are more male mechanics and more female nurses not because of oppression, but because of differing inclinations and strengths. Demanding identical results in every field requires denying human diversity itself, the very diversity DEI claims to celebrate. When every outcome must be equal, merit becomes secondary. The question shifts from “Who is most capable of leading?” to “Who checks which box?” And when identity takes precedence over ability, the system inevitably drifts toward incompetence masked as virtue. That is how institutions that once prized excellence become bureaucracies obsessed with optics. In that light, appointing toddlers to school boards is not as far-fetched as it sounds. It is simply the logical endpoint of representation without restraint. If lived experience is the highest credential, who could possibly understand the kindergarten experience better than a preschooler? If empathy and visibility are the keys to justice, should not those directly affected by nap policies have a seat at the table? Of course, we all know why that is ridiculous. Children are not developmentally ready to make such decisions. Yet this simple truth, that some people are not yet equipped for certain responsibilities, applies beyond age. Competence matters. Readiness matters. Pretending otherwise in the name of representation undermines the very institutions that keep society functional. The goal of a just system should not be to guarantee identical results, but to ensure open doors and the freedom to walk through them when one is ready. Anything beyond that, no matter how well-intentioned, veers into moral absurdity. Governance should prioritize wisdom, expertise, and the pursuit of the common good, not a demographic checklist. And if that means the toddlers must wait a few years before joining the school board, I suspect the republic will survive.)
