DD: My critics/opponents have always been furious that my IRS manager (Dave) promoted me as soon as I was eligible to GS-9 (currently $68,999/year) when I was 23 in 1972, to GS-11 (currently $83,483/year) when I was 24, and to GS-12 (currently $100,059/year) when I was 25. My Democrat IRS superiors got rid of Dave for doing that. According to them, those promotions should have been given to my Democrat IRS coworkers who were minority, female, younger, and/or veteran. Dave was impressed that I was taking graduate evening business courses at Loyola. None of my coworkers did anything like that.
