Basically, he’s saying that old workers ought to just vanish into the sunset and uses dog-whistle phrases like: These “diehards” have varying motivations for extending their careers. They “may feel” they still have much to offer. You may also need to work with senior-level people to “alter their positions” Imagine you had to explain to white workers why “diehard” black workers are in the way?
