(FROM THE ARTICLE: Those of us paying attention noticed that among the illegals flowing over our borders during Biden’s Handlers’ term were thousands—perhaps tens of thousands—of military aged, fit Chinese men. We also took note that no one enters or leaves China without the commie’s consent, and the people showing up at our borders didn’t walk across the Pacific. Commander Salamander points out one highly likely target: Whitman Air Force Base in Missouri. Why Whitman? It’s our sole B2 Stealth Bomber base, housing our 19 remaining B2s. One would think our CONUS–Continental US—military installations would be very secure. Most aren’t. Security consists largely of a few entrance facilities/gates guarded by a few military police officers and huge expanses of land secured only with tall chain link fences and reaction forces of military police in lightly armored vehicles. Some facilities have motion detectors and video cameras, but that’s not universal.)

During the government shutdown, the Senate confirmed a Trump nominee, Brittany Panuccio, as an EEOC commissioner. That gives Lucas a quorum—a minimum of three commissioners out of the full slate of five—after Trump fired two Democrats in January. One Democratic commissioner remains. With the agency’s full powers, Lucas can make good on promises to rescind guidance regarding protections for transgender and nonbinary workers and root out what the Trump administration views as unlawful diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Most notably, she will be able to sue employers on significant legal questions, potentially setting the stage for new precedents on civil-rights law. “Andrea is very pro-enforcement,” said Victoria Lipnic, who served as the EEOC’s acting chair during the first Trump administration. “The traditional trope of Republican administrations is that they’ll be hands-off about enforcement. That’s not her at all.” Lucas declined to comment. An agency spokesperson said Lucas “has emphasized a broad reset of agency priorities to be consistent with the President’s agenda, Supreme Court precedent, and our country’s founding principles of equality and individual rights.” While racial and sexual discrimination still make up a large share of claims that American workers file with the agency, Lucas has chosen to call attention to religious-discrimination allegations, which make up a small portion of claims. “In some cases, it’s been a direct 180,” Christopher DeGroff, a partner who represents employers at the law firm Seyfarth Shaw, said of the EEOC’s shift in focus since the Biden administration. To date, the EEOC has recovered more than $55 million for workers affected by Covid vaccine mandates, many of whom refused to get the vaccine for religious reasons. Lucas recently called the mandates “one of the greatest civil-rights violations in the last few decades.” It also secured a $21 million settlement from Columbia University as part of the Trump administration’s push against antisemitism at academic institutions—the agency’s largest public settlement in nearly two decades. This spring, senior agency officials asked EEOC attorneys around the country to identify discrimination claims in line with White House priorities, according to an email viewed by The Wall Street Journal. Those include discrimination resulting from employer DEI programs, along with antisemitism and anti-Christian or anti-American bias in workplaces. The EEOC filed 94 lawsuits in fiscal 2025, which ended Sept. 30, one of the lowest tallies in decades. One reason for the decrease, DeGroff said, is it takes time for regional offices to identify claims in line with the new priorities and with enough merit to file a federal complaint. Former colleagues describe Lucas as outspoken, dedicated and smart. “She has a really strong legal mind and was among the brightest associates I worked with over the years,” said Jason Schwartz, who as a leader of the law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s labor and employment team oversaw Lucas’s work early in her career. In her first EEOC commission term, which began in 2020, Lucas established a reputation as an independent thinker. She voted with the two Democrats to approve a lawsuit accusing a McDonald’s franchisee of discriminating against Black job applicants, according to the EEOC’s press release on the case. Her votes with Democrats regularly denied victories to the commission’s other two Republicans early in the Biden presidency, when Republicans held a majority of the commissioner seats. Lucas has taken a more strident tone from the start of Trump’s term, excoriating the Biden administration for what she has called “woke policies” and supporting the firing of her two Democratic colleagues on the commission. She hired Connor Clegg, a former digital-media strategist for the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, to join her communications team. In a June hearing to confirm Lucas for a second term, she said she erred in 2021 when she wrote on social media that the EEOC was an independent agency. Instead, she told senators, the agency answers to the White House. Hundreds of EEOC employees have retired early, accepted buyouts or left for other jobs since the start of Trump’s term, said current and former employees. Those moves have left the agency understaffed and morale low, they said. The agency’s shift on protections for transgender workers has been a particular source of confusion—and anger—among some staffers. The agency suspended work on discrimination claims related to gender identity early this year, a move Lucas said adhered to Trump’s executive order to “defend biological reality.” EEOC officials later told agency workers that they could investigate a small subset and that Lucas’s office would review investigations if staff determined discrimination likely took place, according to an email reviewed by the Journal.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: To bring our nation back to legitimate self reliance would require a total reformation of our society and the removal of the political left (including globalists) from the equation. Part of this long term reformation demands a reversal of open borders ideology and multiculturalism, which has ravaged the west. Migrants view our economy as a “global commons”, a wealth pool they are all entitled to access. They don’t see it is a privilege, they see it as a “right”. This is something that Trump does have the capacity to fix in the three years he has left in office, but he has a tendency to get sidetracked by minutia and bad advice. I have been warning since before Trump was re-elected that the economy was going to be his Achilles Heal. From past examples it seems that Trump delegates a lot of his policy ideas to advisers and among these advisers (he has dozens of them, official and unofficial) there are always people who give him suicidal arguments and terrible talking points. His lack of concrete planning for economic repair is putting conservatives on edge and handing immense social influence over to Democrats and woke activists. All they have to do is point at the lack of a clear strategy and suggest that they can do better (they can’t, but it won’t matter to voters living paycheck to paycheck). Trump has done some things right. His tariff policies are absolutely necessary to counter the wealth gap created by corporate globalism. The US has been turned into a consumer nation that continuously takes on debt in order to create ever depreciating wealth. That wealth is then siphoned from the public by international conglomerates, banks and foreign interests. We are being slowly drained of our lifeblood by a nest of vampires. Tariffs are one of the few measures at Trump’s disposal to unilaterally stop the bleeding and force corporations to bring the wealth and jobs back to the US. This is done through new domestic manufacturing and the end of general outsourcing using third world labor. Globalism is NOT the free market, it is the opposite. It is forced interdependency of nations and economies to the benefit of a tiny handful of ultra-wealthy elites. The tariff fight is direct and Trump’s reasons are evident. The average Joe wants more American jobs with higher salaries for the middle class instead of wallowing in low-wage retail and service sector hell. But Trump can’t say he’s fighting for this end result through tariffs and then turn around and let an army of migrants take middle class jobs. The President stumbled into multiple forehead slapping blunders this past week. He called for 600,000 Chinese students to prop up US colleges. He called for 50-year mortgages to offset plunging home ownership, and he argued that America doesn’t have the talent pool to fill jobs taken by H1B foreigners.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Between 1892 and 1954, approximately 12 million immigrants arrived at the now-iconic Ellis Island to enter the U.S. — or nearly 200,000 legal entries per year. All were registered, documented, and given rudimentary health exams. They arrived as rich and poor, white and non-white, and, without exception, legally. With the gradual decline of such great influxes, Ellis Island finally ceased operating roughly 71 years ago. Yet Ellis Island’s successful tenure offers a sharp contrast to the failures of our recent open-border catastrophes. Americans will never know how many immigrants swarmed the southern border between 2021 and 2025, when former President Joe Biden and his impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas destroyed federal immigration law as we once knew it. By design, they allowed between 10 and 12 million foreign nationals to make a mockery of federal immigration laws by swarming the southern border. Many crossers grew violent at any sign of even meek efforts by ICE officers to enforce the law. Border Patrol officers were often mocked, threatened, and assaulted by arriving illegal aliens. Officers were unsure as to what was worse: the occasional violence from illegal immigrants or retaliation from the Biden administration if they sought to enforce federal law and block illegal entrants. So the Biden administration pulled off the near impossible. In a mere four years, it had invited in almost as many illegal immigrants as had entered through Ellis Island legally over seven decades. But unlike past immigrants, we now witness organized violence against ICE officials. We see Orwellian scenes of mobs burning the American flag — the flag of the country they demand to stay in — while waving the flags of the countries they have no desire or intention of returning to. In sum, three generations ago, a smaller, poorer, but wiser America properly solved its immigration problem at Ellis Island — welcoming in immigrants orderly and legally with health and background screenings. In contrast, during the Biden years, we, in our arrogance and affluence, engaged in a great experiment — or rather misadventure. Never in our history has the U.S. been home to roughly 53 million foreign-born residents. Never have immigrants comprised nearly 16 percent of the population. Never has California had 27% of its residents not born in the U.S. Never have we allowed in up to 10,000 aliens a day, with little concern for whether they carried fentanyl, had criminal records, were sick, were unvaccinated, were traffickers, or belonged to violent gangs. Worse still, the Biden administration made zero effort to acculturate, integrate, and assimilate this massive influx. In fact, they did the very opposite of Ellis Island’s protocols, which fostered pro-American values, melting-pot integration, and respect for American history and culture. Once upon a time, new arrivals were all expected to become Americans — or why else had they come? Now, the moment an illegal alien has entered the U.S., he likely senses that his ethnicity or race will be essential to his identity. In the minds of the ruling DEI commissariat, claiming a tribal identity offers an easy pathway to generous housing, food, healthcare, legal, and educational entitlements. So, under Biden’s immigration non-policy, almost all illegal immigrants were immediately categorized as victims in the Marxist binary ledger that now divides America into the oppressed vs. the oppressors. If one devised a plan to damage America, he could not have done better than further dividing us by tribal chauvinism, overwhelming our fragile social services so essential to struggling Americans, and fueling the already dangerous neo-Confederate state and local nullifications of federal law and the growth of “sanctuary cities.” Daily, we witness performance-art mayors and governors boasting of how they “resist” federal law enforcement. These modern rebels pose as if they are our own era’s versions of mini-Confederate states. They now brag of states’ rights as they dare the federal government to protect its own property and enforce federal laws within their parochial jurisdictions. Why did Biden — or whoever was making policy in his place — destroy the border? What was his utterly mad intent? To alter the nation’s demography by importing future Democratic constituents dependent on state largesse? To bow to the demands of his DEI base? To mindlessly do the opposite of the prior Trump administration, which had closed the border and returned to legal-only immigration? Virtue signaling while waving illegal aliens across an open border is easy. But trying to close the border and return millions who entered unlawfully to their homelands is nearly impossible. Then, the Park Forest Post Office hired me. With the money I earned working part-time during the school years and full-time during the summers, I paid for my college expenses, I bought a new 1968 Oldsmobile 442 in 1967, I bought a new 1969 Dodge Charger SE in 1968, and I graduated debt-free from NIU in 1970 owning that Charger.

But new recruits are reportedly failing physical fitness requirements and entering training programs before the agency performed background checks or finished a screening process. ICE officials have discovered that some recruits failed drug testing or had disqualifying criminal backgrounds while they were already enrolled in training, according to NBC News. Since the beginning of a summer hiring surge after the president approved $178 billion to expand the agency into one of the most expensive police agencies in the world, ICE has dismissed more than 200 new recruits while they were in training for falling short of requirements, according to agency data reviewed by NBC. Most did not meet physical and academic standards — including failing open-book tests — while several were dismissed for their criminal backgrounds or over safety concerns that were flagged in background checks, the outlet reported. At least one recruit at the agency’s training academy in Brunswick, Georgia, had been previously charged with strong-arm robbery and battery stemming from a domestic violence incident, according to a Homeland Security official speaking to NBC. Several recruits also had not submitted fingerprints or gone through any background checks at all before entering the six-week training course, officials said. Homeland Security deputy secretary Tricia McLaughlin claimed that a majority of new recruits are former law enforcement officers who go through a different hiring process; per ICE policy, applicants are required to pass drug tests and undergo a security check before they enter training. McLaughlin said the figures in NBC’s report are “not accurate” and “reflect a subset of candidates in initial basic academy classes.” “The vast majority of new officers brought on during the hiring surge are experienced law enforcement officers who have already successfully completed a law enforcement academy,” she said. “This population is expected to account for greater than 85 percent of new hires. Prior-service hires follow streamlined validation but remain subject to medical, fitness, and background requirements.” The Trump administration has aimed for hiring 10,000 ICE agents by next year, or roughly doubling its footprint, with a major boost to the agency’s Enforcement and Removal Operations division. Critics have warned that hitting that 10,000 target — without adequate guardrails to screen future agents and know exactly who is filling those roles — the government could open the door to repeat past mistakes, as ICE faces intense legal scrutiny over allegations of abuse and illegal use of force as Trump surges federal officers into cities across the country. “The loosening of hiring standards and training requirements is unacceptable and will likely result in increased officer misconduct — similar to or worse than what occurred during a small surge in hiring U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in the early 2000s,” Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin wrote to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem this week. “Exacerbating our concerns, DHS has gutted offices responsible for overseeing ICE officers and ensuring accountability for use-of-force incidents,” he added. “Given these developments, greater congressional oversight of ICE’s hiring is essential.” To boost recruitment, Homeland Security offered a “maximum $50,000 signing bonus” and student loan forgiveness. DHS also dropped age limit requirements, allowing people as young as 18 years old to apply and opening ICE to recruits older than 40 years old. The training period at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia shrunk from 13 weeks to eight — and then six. Recruits must also pass a physical fitness test, including running 1.5 miles under 14 minutes and 25 seconds. But dozens of new recruits were sent packing because they couldn’t pass a legal exam, in which officers are allowed to use their books and notes for a test on the Immigration and Nationality Act and the Fourth Amendment. Another group of recruits was dismissed after medical issues or failing the physical fitness requirements. “It’s pathetic,” one career ICE official told The Atlantic. The federal government has been struggling to enroll physically fit personnel to join the ranks since even before Trump, with military branches also regularly failing to meet recruiting goals.
