Of course, needless-to-say, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always used that against me. FOX ILLINOIS
— 10 people could have records expunged thanks to Gov. Rauner (DIERSEN: What do you want expunged from your record? I want the following to be expunged from my employment record: My Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, gave me unfair performance expectations and appraisals, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, did not promote me beyond GS-13, got rid of my mentor in 1987, kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forced me to take a $19,203 (26%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980. My Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, got rid of my mentor in 1975, and disallowed my partial day per diem claims in 1974. My Democrat Post Office superiors forced me resign in 1969 and disallowed my sick leave requests in 1969 and 1968.)

From what I see, the main reason was Democrat success in a) promoting hatred of Trump and b) getting voters to punish Trump by voting for Democrats. But did Democrats have those successes?)
https://www.mcclatchydc.com/latest-news/article223126270.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The letter asks the next NRCC chairman, Minnesota Rep. Tom Emmer, to undertake “a thorough, transparent autopsy of NRCC operations to formally analyze what went wrong, what lessons were learned — including those learned from the successful efforts of our Democratic counterparts — and what will be done to better support the next generation of Republican congressional candidates.” The autopsy should include everything from decision making to data, fundraising and polling to messaging and voter targeting, the letter says.)

CNN
— Mattis writes letter of recommendation for Reince Priebus to join the Navy – Sophie Tatum (DIERSEN: What is your “field of experience?” Mine is auditing federal agencies. I worked for GAO for almost 18 years 1980-1997, the last 11 years of which at the GS-13 Step 1-10 levels, currently $96,403-$125,325. I worked for IRS for almost 9 years 1971-1980, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 levels, currently $81,071-$91,880. I earned a bachelor’s degree in management from NIU in 1970 when I was 21 years old, an MBA from Loyola in 1976, a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul in 1980, and a master’s degree in financial markets and trading from IIT in 1997. I passed the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979 and I passed the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt in 1981. I became a licensed CPA in 1981, a Certified Fraud Examiner in 1990, a Certified Government Financial Manager in 1994, a Certified Financial Services Auditor in 1996, and a Forensic Accountant in 1997.)

— Former Trump chief of staff Reince Priebus selected to join Navy with backing from Mattis – Dan Lamothe (DIERSEN: What human resources training do you have? Human resources was my area of concentration for my bachelor’s degree from NIU in 1970 and for my MBA from Loyola in 1976.)
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/former-trump-chief-of-staff-reince-priebus-selected-to-join-navy-with-backing-from-mattis/2018/12/14/b12c269e-ffb4-11e8-83c0-b06139e540e5_story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: A Navy review board reviewed 42 candidates this month and “professionally recommended” Priebus and four others to join the service through a competitive direct-commission program for human resources officers, the memo said. Cmdr. Jereal Dorsey, a Navy spokesman, confirmed in a statement Friday evening that Priebus was recently selected and said that Priebus is “currently moving towards earning a commission as an ensign,” an entry-level officer. Anyone over the age of 42 needs a waiver to join as an officer and has to sign an agreement in which they acknowledge potential limitations on their career. . .Priebus was spotted at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland in July while considering joining the Navy Reserve and was open to doing legal work, human resources or intelligence, Politico reported at the time.)

WALL STREET JOURNAL
— GM Says 2,700 Workers Slated for Layoffs Can Transfer – Mike Colias (DIERSEN: Federal employees can apply to transfer between federal agencies. If their application is approved, they transfer with them their federal seniority, unused vacation days, and unused sick days. But those who transfer should expect to be despised if not hated by those who work for the agency that they transfer to. I transferred from IRS to GAO in 1980 when I was 31 years old. I should write a book about my Democrat GAO superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates who were furious that I transferred with me almost 12 years (almost 3 years with the Post Office and almost 9 years with IRS) of federal seniority, 30 unused vacation days, and 130 unused sick days. They were beyond furious that I started earning 26 vacation days a year in 1984 and that I got full-time federal service credit while I worked for the Post Office even though I worked only part-time. They were overjoyed that my Democrat GAO superiors forced me to take a $19,203 (26%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer. GAO audits IRS. They viciously demonized, viciously denigrated, and viciously condemned what I had learned a) by working for IRS for almost 9 years, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 levels, currently $81,071-$91,880, b) by passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, c) by earning an MBA from Loyola in 1976, and d) by earning a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul in 1980. They would not have done the aforesaid if I had been a Democrat, a minority, a female, or a veteran.)

https://www.newsweek.com/2018/12/21/2020-elections-sherrod-brown-democrats-trump-1255743.html

(FROM THE ARTICLE: A lifelong champion of the pro-labor left who started out in Ohio’s legislature in the 1970s, Brown is a champion of workers and a proponent of stricter regulations on Wall Street. But, like Trump, he is critical of trade deals like NAFTA and supports some tariffs. He campaigned in Ohio on what he terms the “dignity of work,” a political philosophy and a wide-ranging set of pro-labor policies. He advertises that he wears suits made within 10 miles of his house in Cleveland and drives an American-made Jeep Cherokee.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Here’s what he proposes: Amend the Illinois Constitution’s pension clause that in effect says the retirement benefits in force on an employee’s first day of work can’t be changed for the rest of his or her life. Scale back the too-generous 3 percent compounded cost-of-living adjustments that most retirees receive. “The fact is, a 3 percent annual compounded COLA in an era of very low nonexistent inflation is not progressive and not sustainable,” Emanuel said. He also lobbied for a constitutional amendment switching the state from a flat income tax to a graduated one that would hit wealthier taxpayers. “Coming at this challenge from both sides, revenue and reform, is the clearest path out of this challenge and the fairest,” he said. Emanuel also suggested borrowing in the short term to shore up the funds, reintroducing what’s known as a “consideration” model to give public employees more retirement savings choices, and bringing a casino to Chicago.)

NEW YORK POST
— What’s ‘immoral’ about caring for America’s poor first? – Betsy McCaughey
https://nypost.com/2018/12/11/whats-immoral-about-caring-for-americas-poor-first/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Not building the wall is what’s truly immoral. Allowing poor migrants to flood across the southern border forces taxpayers to toil longer and pay more taxes to feed and house them, accommodate their children in public schools and pay for their medical care. Americans are already maxed out caring for our own needy, including the homeless sprawled on city streets. This nation has some 40 million people in poverty, one out of every eight people and one of every six children. That’s far higher than the share of people living in poverty in Canada or the UK. Our country doesn’t need to import more poverty. For the same reason, Trump is proposing that only legal immigrants who can support themselves without government handouts be granted green cards. Mayor Bill de Blasio blasted Trump’s proposal as “un-American.” Gov. Andrew Cuomo said “the plan is ugly, it is cruel.” Really? Why should Americans be compelled to provide a safety net for throngs pressing to get into the country? Milton Friedman warned two decades ago that America can have open borders or a generous welfare system but not both. Open borders boost a growing economy by providing a source of labor. But that works only so long as immigrants are barred from government benefits. Trump is tightening regulations under a longstanding law, on the books since 1882, that bars immigrants likely to need government benefits from obtaining permanent status. Starting with President Bill Clinton, the law has been applied so laxly that almost no one is denied a green card for that reason. A staggering 63 percent of households headed by a noncitizen depend on Medicaid, food stamps, housing assistance or in some cases all of these taxpayer-funded programs, according to a December 2018 analysis of census data by the restrictionist Center for Immigration Studies. That figure is almost double what it is for households headed by American-born citizens. Right now, newly arrived legal immigrants who earn little or nothing are eligible for fully subsidized ObamaCare plans, with taxpayers footing the entire bill, even for copays and deductibles. And 6.8 million children of immigrants are enrolled in Medicaid, according to the Urban Institute. Meanwhile, millions of American-born taxpayers who fund this giveaway to newcomers are going without insurance themselves, because they can’t afford it. That doesn’t jibe with the ideal that a democracy’s first duty is to protect its own citizens. Don’t expect the American public to buy into open borders and handouts for all comers. All Americans have to do is look across the Atlantic to see the disastrous results of that policy.)

— SILICON VALLEY MORPHING INTO THE MORALITY POLICE Adriana Cohen warns about Trojan horse deciding our next presidential election
https://www.wnd.com/2018/12/silicon-valley-morphing-into-the-morality-police/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Here’s the goliath problem: Who gets to define what words and phrases protected under the First Amendment constitute hate – a catchall word that is often ascribed to any offensive speech someone simply doesn’t like? Will Christians who don’t support abortion rights or having their tax dollars go toward Planned Parenthood be considered purveyors of hate for denying women the right to choose? Will millions of Americans who support legal immigration, as opposed to illegal immigration, be labeled xenophobes or racists and be banned from the digital world? Yes and yes. How do we know? It’s already happening, as scores of conservatives nationwide are being shadow banned and/or censored on social media, YouTube, Google and beyond. Their crime? Running afoul of leftist Silicon Valley executives who demand conformity of thought and simply won’t tolerate any viewpoint that strays from their rigid political orthodoxy.)

BREITBART
— Poll: 6-in-7 GOP Voters Say Minorities Favored over White Americans – John Binder
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/12/09/poll-6-7-gop-voters-minorities-favored/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: On the opposite end of the political spectrum, 87 percent of Democrat voters in the midterm elections say white Americans are favored in the U.S. over minorities. Only 12 percent of Democrat voters say minorities are favored over white Americans today. The poll is an indication, again, of a Republican Party that is increasingly made up of a white working- and middle-class majority that feel disenfranchised due to country’s mass immigration policy of importing more than a million legal immigrants a year, while at the same time, having their jobs outsourced to foreign countries through the globalization of the country’s economy. Polling and the recent midterm elections show, yet again, little-to-no support for economic libertarianism with GOP voters overwhelmingly in support of President Donald Trump’s economic nationalism. For example, while the New York Times has complained that states with a white American majority pose “an array of problems,” the process known as “chain migration” — whereby newly naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S. with them — has imported more than nine million foreign nationals since 2005. As Breitbart News reported, if chain migration is not ended — as President Trump has demanded — the U.S. electorate will forever be changed, with between seven to eight million new foreign-born individuals being eligible to vote because of chain migration, and overall, an additional 15 million new foreign-born voters. Simultaneously, illegal immigration next year is on track to soar to the highest level in a decade, with a potential 600,000 border crossers expected. Meanwhile, free trade with China has eliminated or outsourced about 3.5 million American jobs since 2001. Polling this year found that a majority of GOP voters say free trade has hurt the U.S. and cost Americans their jobs.)

My Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, gave me unfair performance expectations and appraisals, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, did not promote me beyond GS-13, got rid of my mentor in 1987, kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forced me to take a $19,203 (26%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980. Henry said she was planning to hire a consultant to help with the implementation of the new system. Now that’s no longer necessary.”

https://www.mysuburbanlife.com/2014/09/30/dupage-county-clerk-candidate-says-opponent-used-government-resources-for-campaign/aq59scb/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: During her remarks, she also said the clerk’s office gave employee Adam Johnson paid leave to try to unseat State Rep. Jeanne Ives, R-Wheaton, in this spring’s Republican primary election, for which she said the county’s personal leave policy had no provision. Kaczmarek compared the allegations against Hinds to recent lawsuits against DuPage County Sheriff John Zaruba. Several veteran deputies have claimed they were punished by Zaruba for unionizing and refusing to support the sheriff politically. One suit has been settled, but more are pending. “Prohibited political activity is a big problem in DuPage County. It impacts all of us,” she said. “Yet, this problem is so easy to fix with tougher policies, better training and a willingness to enforce laws which already exist. Our county officials have chosen to do nothing and here we are today.” Hinds did not respond to requests for comment and Paul Darrah, spokesman for the state’s attorney’s office, confirmed receipt of the complaint but said he could not speak further on the matter.)

https://www.dailyherald.com/news/20181129/tollway-reform-rollout-takes-back-seat-to-political-firing-brouhaha
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Controversy erupted at the Illinois tollway Thursday as Executive Director Liz Gorman pushed back against allegations of politically motivated “firings” and said one administrator’s exit was a cause of celebration. The blowup coincided with the agency’s rollout of new ethics procedures prepared in response to concerns about potential favoritism regarding contracts and hiring. “The tollway is a well-run, transparent organization, but we can always look for better ways and better practices,” Chairman Robert Schillerstrom said. However, Director Joseph Gomez criticized the ethics report for failing to address “what might be considered political firings.” Gomez said high-ranking managers in communications and human resources were terminated this year and told “the toll road was headed in a different direction.” “I don’t find that a good reason to fire senior members of the toll road staff,” Gomez said. “What was the ‘new direction’ at the tollway?” Gorman told Gomez, “If you’re inferring that I’m a woman and can’t handle it, I don’t appreciate it and that’s not the case.” “I don’t believe in firing people. They fire themselves,” she said. And when one department head left this spring, “I believe the building was in (unison) in singing, ‘Ding, dong, the witch is dead,'” Gorman said. At that point, Senior Assistant Attorney General Robert Lane admonished Gorman and board members that personnel discussions should occur in executive session. “I am so sorry you would think that anybody is disparaging you because of being a female,” Gomez told Gorman. “There are no political firings,” Schillerstrom clarified, adding personnel issues are handled by tollway executives, not board members.)

WALL STREET JOURNAL
— The ABA Strikes Back After a demotion from Trump, the lawyers guild smears judicial nominees. – Kimberley A. Strassel (DIERSEN: Who views you as being a Trump supporter? What if Trump demoted the professional association(s) that you are/were a member of, the organizations that you are/were a member of, the school(s) that you graduated from, the employer(s) that you work/worked for, etc.? From what I see, if Trump demoted them, those who dominate the following would smear me to strike back at Trump: Illinois CPA Society, Institute of Internal Auditors, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Association of Government Accountants, National Association of Certified Financial Services Auditors, National Association of Forensic Accountants, Milton Township Republican Central Committee, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, Illinois Republican Party, TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, Illinois Center Right Coalition, American Association of Political Consultants, Crete-Monee High School, NIU, Loyola, DePaul, IIT, Post Office, IRS, GAO, etc. Those who dominate the aforesaid view me as being a Trump supporter.)

— I Learned to Love Standardized Tests They don’t have to be basic, boring or biased. A good question provokes deep engagement. – Mathina Calliope (DIERSEN: What standardized tests have you passed? My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always hinted/implied/argued/shouted that I passed standardized tests because those tests favored those who shared my demographics. I passed standardized tests to earn three job-related master’s degrees (1976, 1980, and 1997), two job-related professional certifications (1979 and 1981), a job-related bachelor’s degree (1970), job offers from IRS (1971) and the Post Office (1966), etc.)
