— Politicians battle over immigration policy after Loyola student’s death. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle acknowledge failures helped lead to the student’s death, but disagree on who is to blame for those failures. DD: What have you been blamed the most for? Since 2000, Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct have blamed me the most for their defeats. They stress a) my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters since 2000, b) my TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois leadership 2000-2012, and c) my Illinois Center Right Coalition (ICRC) leadership 2003-2007.  I should list all the Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct since 2000 who have suffered defeats and write about those who have had their operatives and their dupes take the biggest adverse actions against me including their ending my leadership of ICRC and TAPROOT.

— Young Degree Holders Are Facing the Grimmest Prospects for Employment in Years. DD: When you graduated from college, what frustrated your job search? For me, when I graduated when I was 21 in 1970, it was potential employers viewing me as being draft bait. I was 1-A and they did not believe that my financial hardship draft deferment application would be approved. In addition, my GPA suffered because instead of studying, I worked far too many hours to work my way through college. In addition, potential employers were under ever-increasing pressure to hire those who did not share my demographics.

WASHINGTON POST
— The real reason behind the growing marriage gap: About 40 percent of women surveyed identify as liberal, compared with just 19 percent who said they’re conservative. Young men were more likely to identify as conservative than liberal. Why would anyone be inclined to want to marry someone who does not share their basic values?

WALL STREET JOURNAL
— What if Your Salary Is Too High for Today’s Job Market? DD: According to my critics/opponents, the federal government grossly overpaid me. Back when I was 49 in 1997, GAO paid me $154,682/year (GS-13 Step 10) in today’s dollars. But in my defense, that was not until after I had worked for the federal government for almost 30 years, earned a bachelor’s degree (management) when I was 21, earned master’s degrees in business, accounting, and finance when I was 27, 31, and 48, earned professional certifications in accounting, internal auditing, fraud examination, government financial management, financial services auditing, and forensic accounting when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 47, and 48, and earned a job-related professional license (CPA) when I was 32. In today’s dollars, my IRS salary was $56,409/year (GS-7) when I was 22 in 1971, $68,999/year (GS-9) when I was 23, $83,482/year (GS-11) when I was 24, $100,059/year (GS-12) when I was 25, and $113,402/year (GS-12 Step 5) when I was 31. My GAO salary was $89,703/year (GS-9 Step 10) when I was 31 and $118,984/year (GS-13) when I was 32. Ever since then, pressure has increased to hire, retain, and promote those who do not share my demographics. All my coworkers who my Democrat superiors promoted over me were Democrats who had less work experience than I had, had less education, had no professional certifications or fewer than I had, and/or had no professional license like the one I had and/or did not share my demographics.

FORTUNE
— ICE agents can make twice the salary of TSA employees—and economists warn their pay is more ‘shutdown proof’ than other government jobs. DD: While I worked for IRS for almost 9 years, I was an IRS Revenue Officer in its Collection Division. Sadly, far too many Democrat IRS Revenue Agents in its Audit Division look down on Republican IRS Revenue Officers. Democrat IRS Revenue Agents were more than happy to follow orders from my Democrat IRS superiors to disallow my education deductions when I was 29 in 1978. I had deducted graduate evening business and accounting courses. They outrageously, disgustingly, falsely, and unethically argued in tax court a) that the courses I deducted did not relate to my job duties, b) that the courses did not maintain or improve my job skills, c) that I took the courses to get a job in the private sector, and d) that I took the courses to qualify myself for a new trade or business. They outrageously, disgustingly, falsely, and unethically ignored the fact that a) my IRS employee manual encouraged me to take the courses, b) the content of my position descriptions, and c) that I stated in my applications that I wanted to take the courses to maintain and improve my IRS job skills. They would not have done that a) if they did not look down on Republican IRS Revenue Officers, b) if I had been a Democrat, minority, female, younger, or veteran, and/or c) if I had not complained about IRS’s political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, and age discrimination.

FED SCOOP
— GAO has been ‘hard hit’ by departures. DD: During the 1980s and 1990s, the Democrats who ran GAO handled Gingrich-led budget cuts by getting rid of its employees who were Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran. They succeed in getting rid of me when I was 49 years old in 1997.
https://fedscoop.com/gao-it-workforce-congress-watchdog-retirements/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Appearing before the House Appropriations Legislative Branch Subcommittee, Orice Williams Brown was asked by Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., how the agency has handled the departures of “almost 200 employees” across the GAO’s workforce following funding fights on Capitol Hill last year. The GAO, which avoided a proposed 40% cut to essentially remain flat year over year, dealt with separations throughout the organization, Brown said, covering everyone from “analysts that directly do the work” to “operations and support across the agency.”)

BUSINESS
— Graduates Face 90% Rejection Rate in Job Hunt. DD: The Democrats who ran GAO in 1980, IRS in 1971, and the Post Office in 1966 hired me because they could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, younger person, or veteran who would take the job. I would not have gotten the Post Office job if I had not earned a high school diploma and passed the postal employment examination. I would not have gotten the IRS job if I had not earned a bachelor’s degree in business and passed the Federal Service Entrance Examination. I would not have gotten the GAO job if I had not earned an MBA and passed the CPA examination on my first attempt.

MONEY TALKS
— Half of Middle-Aged Americans Are Forced to Retire Early. An unplanned early retirement can have devastating financial consequences. DD: Based on my personal experience, if you retire one minute sooner than you want to, your critics/opponents will forever use that to hint/imply/argue/shout that you were forced to retire because you are a very bad person and even worse things. The more of the following that you are, anticipate/expect that you will be forced to retire early: conservative, Republican, American, White, male, older, non-poor, non-veteran, heterosexual, married, Protestant, German American, and/or have ancestors who have been in America for a long time. Were you forced to retire early? Will you be forced to retire early? My Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire when I was 49 in 1997. What if I had not succumbed to their threats? Their threats included making my next 6 years until I would be eligible for regular retirement a living hell for me. Their threats included constructively demoting me, giving me adverse transfers, giving me unfair performance expectations, giving me unfair performance appraisals, and continuing to rank me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance. GAO was not unionized. It did not unionize until 2007. In retrospect, with benefit of hindsight, I should not have retired. I should have fought to keep my job a) because my critics/opponents have used my being forced to retire early against me so viciously and b) because of the tremendous loss of income that I have suffered and will suffer for the rest of my life.

HR DRIVE
— Employers opting to eliminate job requirements. DD: While I worked for the Democrats who ran IRS for almost 9 years and GAO for almost 18 years, they ever-increasingly lowered promotion requirements to promote their Democrat employees who were minority and/or female. That ever-increasingly rendered worthless my three job-related master’s degrees, my six job-related professional certifications, and my job-related professional license.

VA NEWS
— Veterans’ Preference. DD: The Democrats who ran GAO in 1980, IRS in 1971, and the Post Office in 1966 hired me because they could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, younger person, or veteran who would take the job. All during the almost 30 years that I worked for the federal government, many, most, virtually all, and at times, all of my superiors and supervisors were Democrat veterans. They gave tremendous preference to their Democrat employees who were veterans. They blamed Republicans for America losing the Vietnam War, and they especially blamed Republicans like me who were 1-A for the Vietnam War draft but who avoided it with draft deferments. They were furious that because I avoided the Vietnam War draft, I was able to earn a bachelor’s degree in management when I was 21, earn an MBA when I was 27, pass the CPA examination on my first attempt when I was 30, earn a master’s degree in accounting when I was 31, and pass the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt and become a licensed CPA when I was 32. They took many big adverse actions against me.

— Retaining staff. DD: While I worked for the Democrats who ran IRS for almost 9 years and GAO for almost 18 years, to retain and promote their Democrat employees who were minority, female, younger, and/or veteran, they ever-increasingly lowered retention and promotion standards. That ever-increasingly rendered worthless my job-related bachelor’s degree, my three job-related master’s degrees, my six job-related professional certifications, and my job-related professional license.

PBS
— Pentagon will remove media offices after judge reinstates NYT’s press credentials. DD: I should write about my critics/opponents who have hinted/implied/argued/shouted the most that I falsely claim to be reporter. According to them, to be a reporter, you have to have a degree in journalism, you have to be paid for what you do, and you have to claim to be nonpartisan. They ignore/dismiss/belittle/badmouth the fact a) that I worked for GAO as an Analyst for almost 18 years, the last 11 years of which at the GS-13 Step 1-10 Levels, currently $118,984-$154,682/year, b) that much of what GAO Analysts do is very similar to what reporters do, and c) that I have been the Illinois Reporter for GOPUSA since 2000. I would focus on my critics/opponents who are past and present a) leaders of the Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization, b) Republican elected officials in Illinois, DuPage County, Milton Township, and Wheaton, c) Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct, d) conservative leaders, and e) religious leaders.

ECONOMIC TIMES
— 8 ways job requirements have changed drastically in last 15 years. DD: While I worked for the Democrats who ran the federal government for almost 30 years, they ever-increasingly lowered hiring, retention, and promotion requirements to hire, retain, and promote more Democrats who were minority, female, and/or younger. That ever-increasingly rendered worthless my job related bachelor’s degree, my three job-related master’s degrees, my six job-related professional certifications, my job-related professional license, my almost 9 years of experience working for IRS, and my almost 18 years of experience working for GAO. My Democrat Black subordinate who my Democrat GAO superiors replaced me with when I was 49 in 1997 a) had less work experience than I had, b) had less education than I had, c) had one professional certification while I had six, and d) no professional license like the one I had.

My critics/opponents blame me and blame my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters for all the losses that Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct have suffered since 2000. WIREPOINTS
— New IRS Migration Numbers: Illinois Taxpayers Continue to Flee With Their Income. DD: Illinois Democrat and RINO leaders ever-increasingly do everything that they can to drive conservatives out of Illinois. If you are conservative, what keeps you in Illinois? For me, it includes a) my ancestors having lived in northeast Illinois since 1844, b) my having lived in Wheaton since 1978, c) my wife and I living in our home since 1984, d) my parents, my brother, and virtually all of my relatives having died, e) my having earned my bachelor’s degree, three master’s degrees, six professional certifications, and a professional license in northeast Illinois, and f) the conservative-created prosperity and safety that remains in DuPage County, Milton Township, and Wheaton. I have seen from what has happened in DuPage County, in Milton Township, and in Wheaton that sooner or later, where conservatives create prosperity and safety, Democrats and RINOs move in and destroy it. The Democrat Party platform creates poverty and crime.

WASHINGTON TIMES
— White supremacy, the latest race hustle. It has all the elements of classic Marxism. DD: To get more votes from non-Whites, Democrat candidates, elected officials, and party leaders ever-increasingly promote more hatred against Whites, and especially against Whites who are conservative, male, older, married, non-poor, Protestant, German American, and/or have ancestors who have been in America for a long time.
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2026/mar/22/white-supremacy-latest-race-hustle/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The war on White supremacy is recycled Marxism. Because many who denounce it the most bitterly are themselves White, it’s also self-hatred. Whether they are politicians, bureaucrats, academics or authors, leftists can hardly open their mouths these days without blaming White supremacy for something. Earlier this month, when terrorists threw explosive devices at protesters outside Gracie Mansion, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s initial response was to condemn not the terrorists, who by their own admission wanted to create another Boston Marathon bombing, but rather those protesting the growing influence of Islam on the city. (Mr. Mamdani called the demonstration “a vile protest rooted in White supremacy.”) Wait, I thought Islam was a religion, not a race. Even the city’s Marxist mayor is a moderate compared with Cea Weaver, head of the Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants, which sounds like a cross between an AWFUL (Affluent White Female Urban Liberal) and Josef Stalin. Ms. Weaver charges that “private property is a weapon of White supremacy” and the United States “built wealth for White people through genocide, slavery, stolen land and labor.” I wonder whom her mother exploited to get her $1.6 million home in Nashville, Tennessee.)

— Why today’s immigrants to America are so hostile to their new country. DD: Far too many come to America a) to take advantage of the tremendous benefits and preferences that Democrats and RINOs give immigrants, b) to turn America into their motherland, and/or c) to convert everyone to their religion. My ancestors did nothing to turn America into Germany or to make everyone Missouri Synod Lutherans. They did homestead a 240-arce farm in southeast Crete in 1854, but that was not until after they had worked in brick factory in Chicago for 10 years.
https://nypost.com/2026/03/22/opinion/why-todays-immigrants-to-america-are-so-hostile-to-their-new-country/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: While America is at war with Iran, crowds of immigrants, visitors and foreign students scream anti-American slogans as they cheer our enemies. On campuses, thousands of Middle Eastern international students have staged often violent demonstrations. They’re not shy about cheering on the Hamas slaughter of Israeli civilians. They haven’t just damned Israel but also often harassed Jewish Americans. . .In the mid-1960s, new laws junked the prior merit-based system and instead admitted immigrants chiefly on the basis of family ties and the purported need of the host country for inexpensive labor. In the 60 years since, Democrats began welcoming in anyone, legal or not, who simply crashed the border or claimed they wanted to study in the US. The old melting pot was banished, replaced by the “salad bowl.” Immigration was seen by the Left as the answer to why they’d never been able to complete their socialist agendas. The new “diversity” ideology peaked under Barack Obama and Joe Biden. It dictated that traditional America was still too white, too traditionalist, too Christian, too unfairly successful — and too hostile to the Democratic-socialist agenda.)

— Pritzker pushes prosecutions of Trump officials as part of Dem ‘Project 2029’ agenda. Pritzker’s calls to criminally prosecute law enforcement agents and Trump officials comes amid a months-long standoff with Trump over immigration enforcement policies. DD: To get rid of me, my Democrat superiors in the federal government never prosecuted me. But they took many big adverse actions against me. My Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire when I was 49 in 1997, they always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance, they delayed my promotions and never promoted me beyond GS13, and they forced me to take a $23,699/year (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS when I was 31. My Democrat IRS superiors never promoted me beyond GS-12, they disallowed my education deductions when I was 29, and they disallowed my travel vouchers when I was 25. The Democrats who run the federal government use “up-or-out” to get rid of their employees who are Republican, male, and/or non-veteran who they do not promote to GS-13 ($118,984) by age 25, GS-14 ($140,604) by age 30, GS-15 ($165,386) by age 35, and Senior Executive Service ($197,200) by age 40. DAILY HERALD
— DuPage clerk’s election loss won’t end legal fight with county board
https://www.dailyherald.com/20260319/news/dupage-clerks-election-loss-wont-end-legal-fight-with-county-board/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Despite losing her reelection bid, DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek says she will continue with an appeal challenging recent court rulings in her ongoing feud with the county board. The Glen Ellyn Democrat has been locked in a yearslong battle with the board over how she runs the county clerk’s office and how bills get paid. That fight ended up in court and was a key factor in why the two-term incumbent found herself facing a challenger in the Democratic primary election. On Tuesday, DuPage County Board member Paula Deacon Garcia defeated Kaczmarek to become the Democratic nominee for county clerk. In November, she will face Republican Patricia Kladis-Schiappa, an attorney from Burr Ridge. Deacon Garcia and Kladis-Schiappa both say they would end the legal battle with the county board if they are elected. However, Kaczmarek will continue to serve as county clerk until the end of November. In the meantime, she says she intends to pursue an appeal she filed earlier this year. “The need for clear legal standards to govern the relationship between different elected offices is of much greater and wider consequence than the results of any individual election,” Kaczmarek said in a statement. Noting that a DuPage judge sided with the county in two recent rulings, a spokesman for the DuPage County state’s attorney’s office said the office will “continue to vigorously defend the county in this matter.” Kaczmarek has argued that multiple opinions issued by the Illinois attorney general’s office have supported the contention that elected officials have internal control over their office. In addition, Kaczmarek claims the county has tried to require her office to make unnecessary budget transfers in order for bills to be paid. County board members counter that they don’t want to tell Kaczmarek what to do. However, they say the county can require its elected officials and department heads to follow basic accounting procedures and state laws on bidding. Still, Kaczmarek insists that the county board and the state’s attorney’s office “continue to mislead the public regarding the fact that they are simply ignoring” everything that the attorney general’s office has advised. “There must be independence of county officers from county board interference,” Kaczmarek said. “Nothing has changed regarding the need for higher courts to clarify whether every attorney general’s opinion on these issues for decades has simply been wrong. The rest of the state is operating under different rules than DuPage County.” The county board filed a lawsuit in 2024 seeking a judge’s order to compel Kaczmarek into compliance with county accounting procedures for bill payments. At the time, Kaczmarek would not fill out the requested paperwork for budget transfers to get bills paid, arguing that it wasn’t necessary because there was enough money in her budget to cover the expenses. Last August, a judge ruled in the county’s favor and compelled Kaczmarek to follow the county’s accounting procedures. Then in December, the same judge ruled against Kaczmarek’s request for summary judgment, where she argued contracts with two election-related vendors were exempt from bidding rules because they fell under professional services. In January, Kaczmarek’s attorney filed the notice of appeal challenging both rulings. On Wednesday, Kaczmarek’s attorney, Ken Florey, said legal briefs from both sides should be filed in the coming months. He was hopeful a ruling could be issued before the November election. DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek released the following statement Wednesday after her election loss: “The DuPage County Board and State’s Attorney continue to mislead the public regarding the fact that they are simply ignoring everything the Attorney General’s Office has advised for over 40 years. There must be independence of county officers from county board interference. Nothing has changed regarding the need for higher courts to clarify whether every Attorney General’s opinion on these issues for decades has simply been wrong. The rest of the state is operating under different rules than DuPage County. The need for clear legal standards to govern the relationship between different elected offices is of much greater and wider consequence than the results of any individual election.”)
— What Americans are giving up to afford ACA health insurance. DD: Ever since I became a federal employee when I was 18 in 1966, my critics/opponents have been increasingly furious that the federal government has paid 72% of my health insurance premiums. Since I got married when I was 29 in 1978, they have been increasingly furious that the federal government has also paid 72% of my and my wife’s health insurance premiums. I should write about my critics/opponents. (FROM THE ARTICLE: Lately, Priscilla Brown has had to choose between properly managing her Type 2 diabetes and affording other necessities, like gas in her car. Some days, she takes half or a third of her prescribed insulin dose — just to stretch it out longer. “Sometimes I don’t even take my medicine,” said the 48-year-old truck dispatcher in Orlando, Florida. “It’s so much with insurance, it’s crazy.” About 8 in 10 Americans, like Brown, who re-enrolled in Affordable Care Act marketplace coverage say their health care costs are higher this year, including about half who say their costs are “a lot” higher, according to a new survey from the health care research nonprofit KFF. A main reason for increased costs was the Dec. 31 expiration of enhanced tax credits that had offset premiums for most enrollees. For Brown and others, those spiking costs are having real impacts on daily life. Of the 1,117 Americans surveyed who had ACA marketplace coverage in 2025, including those who dropped coverage or changed plans, about 55% said they’re planning to deal with health care costs by cutting spending on food and other basic household needs.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: The headline number is stark: only about 33 percent of Illinois Republicans’ own modeled voter base showed up to vote. According to voter data, just 561,000 Republicans cast ballots in the primary. Campaign voter models estimate there are approximately 1.69 million Republican-leaning voters in Illinois. That means two out of every three Republican voters stayed home. By comparison, Republicans turned out about 47 percent of their base in 2022 – marking a 14-point drop in enthusiasm in just four years. Meanwhile, Democrats moved in the opposite direction.)

DUPAGE COUNTY ELECTION DIVISION
— Election Results  DD: About 105,000 voted for a Democrat U.S. Senate candidate while only about 46,000 voted for a Republican U.S. Senate candidate. About 100,000 voted for Pritzker while only about 47,000 voted for a Republican gubernatorial candidate. According to the DCED website, 331 (30.48%) of the 1,086 registered voters in my Milton 59 precinct voted. I got 120 votes. I anxiously await posting of how many Republican and Democrat ballots were cast in my precinct and how many votes each candidate got in my precinct. I anxiously await a listing of those voters who cast Republican ballots. I want to hand-deliver a precinct letter to them that thanks them for voting and gives them election results.

— How Many Americans Are Marriage Material? DD: Democrat leaders ever-increasingly destroy traditional marriage. What helped you become marriage material? By the time I got married when I was 29 in 1978, I had worked for IRS for almost 7 years and my salary was $110,066/year in today’s dollars. I had earned an MBA from Loyola in 1976 and I was taking graduate evening accounting courses at DePaul. I lived in a one bedroom condo in the Outer Drive East building that I had bought in 1976. I was renting out a town home in University Park that I had bought new in 1972. I owned a 1972 Corvette that I had bought new in 1971. Things that impressed me about my outstanding wife included that her first job after high school was working for the FBI. She soon became the Corporate Secretary for the U.S. League of Savings Institutions. She did much to help elect Big Jim Thompson governor in 1976. She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from DePaul in 1986.
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/29/opinion/marriage-kearney.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: It used to be that an overwhelming majority of Americans married, and an overwhelming majority of American children were raised within two-parent families. Over the past six decades this has changed. Now, roughly 40 percent of children are born outside of wedlock and about a quarter live in single-parent homes. The share of Americans who are married has fallen significantly since 1960, with a further decline portended by the marriage rates of the younger generations.)

— I anticipate/expect that fewer Democrats will crossover today because there is less need to because of the ever-increasing total Democrat domination of Illinois. How soon will 100% of all elected offices in Illinois be held by Democrats? With no elected Republicans to blame for Illinois’ ever-increasing problems, who will Democrat leaders blame? — Is Lesbianism Ruining America’s Future? How is the unprecedented growth of lesbianism contributing to America’s demographic demise, and what can be done? DD: Democrat leaders ever-increasingly promote LGBTQ, that is, they ever-increasingly destroy traditional marriage and family.
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2026/03/is_lesbianism_ruining_america_s_future.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Today, most of those self-identifying as LGBTQ are young women. The growth has been dramatic. In the US, some thirty percent of Gen Z women (age 18-27) are self-identifying as LGBTQ, etc.—mainly lesbian and—compared to around 1-2% for women in the World War 2 generation. This means that almost a third of traditionally marital-age women are likely disinterested in traditional marriage. This is a significant factor in why almost half of Americans are unmarried. As a result of the decline in marriages, the American replacement rate continues its slide south of the 2.1 children per couple needed for replacement. It is now hovering at 1.6. If one argues that lesbian couples can also raise children, the data show that, when looking at children with two parents, 99.5% of those parents are heterosexual. However, of the children in homosexual households, 3/4 of those households are headed by lesbians. The effect of this unprecedented lesbian phenomenon is producing societal and demographic challenges that do not bode well for the US as the beacon of hope, strength, and the protector of Western traditional family values. Many will claim that: 1) there is no choice or free will with sexual identity and identity is fixed for life, and 2) pursuing a long-term lesbian relationship can be an equivalent substitute for traditional marriage, so the long-term societal impacts are not a worry. Are they correct? Is there free will? Is there a biological, chemical, DNA, or physical test for people to self-diagnose their sexual orientation? There is not. It follows then that it is a non-measurable trait, such as is the case with anger or other temperament issues.)

I worked for the Post Office 1966-1969, Firestone Stores 1970-1972, IRS 1971-1980, and GAO 1980-1997. I spent lots of my money to earn a bachelor’s degree in management from NIU in 1970, an MBA from Loyola in 1976, a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul in 1980, and a master’s degree in financial markets and trading from IIT in 1997. Worse yet, even though my IRS employee manual encouraged me to take graduate business and accounting courses, my Democrat IRS superiors disallowed my tuition deductions outrageously, disgustingly, falsely, and unethically arguing that the courses a) did not relate to my job duties, b) did not maintain or improve my job skills, c) were taken by me to get a job in the private sector, and d) were taken by me to qualify me for a new trade or business. ONREC
— The New Talent Equation: Why Traditional Hiring Models Are Breaking Down in 2026. DD: What jobs did you apply for why did you get hired? GAO audits IRS. When I applied to transfer from IRS to GAO when I was 31 years old in 1980, I stressed that I had worked for IRS for almost 9 years, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 Levels, currently $100,059-$113,402/year. I stressed that my knowledge of IRS would help GAO’s audits of IRS. I stressed that I had earned an MBA in 1976, passed the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, and almost completed the requirements for a master’s degree in accounting. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, the Democrats who ran GAO did not want me to transfer because I was not a Democrat, minority, female, or veteran. To stop me from transferring, they offered me a transfer only if I accepted a $23,699/year (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars, a downgrade from GS-12 Step 5 to GS-9 Step 10. They anticipated/expected that I would not suffer that pay cut to transfer, but I did, and they were furious. They immediately did everything that they could to get rid of me. They gave me bad job assignments, unfair performance expectations, unfair performance appraisals. They delayed my promotions back to GS-12. Of course, they kept me off audits of IRS. To counter that, I completed the requirements for a master’s degree in accounting in 1980, I passed the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt in 1981, and I became a licensed CPA in 1981. Finally, in 1986, the GAO manager who had arranged my transfer got back into power and assigned me to audits of IRS and promoted me to GS-13. But in 1987, because he had done that, they forced him to retire. In 1989, to get rid of me, they threw me off audits of IRS for the rest of my GAO career. They gave me a very bad job assignment, very unfair performance expectations, and a very unfair performance appraisal. They ranked me at the bottom of my coworkers for pay-for-performance and made it clear that they would always do that. They would have taken even stronger adverse actions against me if my Congressman Henry Hyde had not come to my defense. Because they wanted to get rid of me, they were furious when I became a certified fraud examiner in 1990, government financial manager in 1994, financial services auditor in 1996, and forensic accountant in 1997 and when I earned a master’s degree in financial markets and trading in 1997. They succeeded in forcing me to retire when I was 49 in 1997.
https://www.onrec.com/news/news-archive/the-new-talent-equation-why-traditional-hiring-models-are-breaking-down-in-2026
(FROM THE ARTICLE: For decades, many organizations relied on a familiar hiring formula: post a job description, review CVs, shortlist candidates based on degrees and experience, and hire locally. Today, that model is increasingly ineffective. . .Skills are replacing qualifications
One of the most important changes in recruitment is the shift toward skills-based hiring. Historically, employers often used academic qualifications or previous job titles as the primary filters when selecting candidates. In 2026, that approach is rapidly losing relevance. Instead, organizations are increasingly prioritizing demonstrable skills and capabilities. Industry research suggests that the vast majority of employers now view skills as a more reliable indicator of job performance than formal qualifications.)

I used my photocopier, paper, and ink to copy the unmarked sample ballot 400 times 2-sided back-to-back. If I spent 6 minutes getting each envelope ready, that would be 40 hours. I spent about 15 hours hand-delivering the envelopes, or about 3 hours per batch. Only one registered hard-D voter in my precinct threatened me for what I did. – Dave Diersen

— When, from where, and why did your ancestors immigrate? I will never forget the diversity event that my Democrat GAO Chicago office superiors held at which we were all forced to publicly disclose when, from where, and why your ancestors immigrated. Of course, I disclosed that all my ancestors immigrated during the 1840s and 1850s from what is now Germany and that they immigrated to escape problems where they lived. Virtually all of my Democrat GAO Chicago office superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates were Democrats. Virtually none in the office was conservative and Republican like me. Virtually all of them had parents, grandparents, etc. who had been killed by the Germans in WWI and/or WWII. I stressed that my grandfather on my father’s side fought the Germans in WWI and that my uncles on my mother’s side fought the Germans in WWII. From what I see, more and more and more of those who come to America do so a) because they want to take advantage of the tremendous benefits that Democrat and RINO leaders give them, b) because they want to turn America into their motherland, and/or c) because they want to convert everyone in America to their religion. – Dave Diersen

— What salary is needed to afford a house in Chicago in 2026? DD: In today’s dollars, my IRS Revenue Officer salary increased from $56,409/year to $68,999/year when I was 24 in 1972. That enabled me to buy a new townhome in University Park ( https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/774-Sunset-Ct-5-University-Park-IL-60484/5451474_zpid/ ). My critics/opponents were furious about that. They were even more furious than when I bought a new 1972 Corvette in 1971. In my defense, the down payment for the townhome came from what I had earned working for IRS for 15 months and for a Firestone Store part-time for 18 months and full-time for 7 months before that and half of the money for the Corvette came from an insurance settlement, the rest was a loan. According to my critics/opponents, I would not have been able to buy that Corvette or that townhome a) if I had not avoided the Vietnam War draft and b) if I had not been grossly overpaid by IRS. In my defense, I had earned a bachelor’s degree in management from NIU in 1970 and I completed a graduate evening business course at UIC in 1971 and four graduate evening business courses at Loyola in 1972. (FROM THE ARTICLE: Early voting numbers are trending up in Illinois before the state’s primary elections Tuesday. Illinois State Board of Elections Public Information Officer Matt Dietrich told The Center Square on Friday that about 250,000 early votes had been cast, slightly higher than the state reported before the 2022 midterm. Dietrich said he is seeing a strong response on vote by mail. “In 2022 we had about 275,000 vote-by-mail ballots cast for the primary. We’re already at 290,000, and we’ll have quite a few of those coming in now and up until two weeks after Election Day that will still be added to that count,” Dietrich said. Dietrich said the state does not track partisan turnout in its pre-election reporting, but Illinois generally sees more Democratic ballots than Republican ballots in primaries. “I would expect that to continue this year, mainly because, first of all, you have a very hotly-contested U.S. Senate race,” Dietrich said. Dietrich said open congressional seats would also draw voters. The Chicago Board of Elections reported more than 123,000 ballots received as of Thursday night, up from under 71,000 five days before the 2022 primary. The Chicago board would not provide a breakdown of votes by party without a Freedom of Information Act request.)

In my defense, I spent the last 18 years of public sector career working for a federal agency (GAO) that shank from more than 6,000 employees to less than 3,000 employees because of Republican-led budget cuts. The agency was almost always under promotion freezes.

HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW
— 7 Practical Ways to Reduce Bias in Your Hiring Process. DD: The Democrats who ran GAO in 1980, IRS in 1971, and the Post Office in 1966 hired me because they could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, younger person, or veteran who would take the job. I qualified myself for the Post Office job by earning a high school diploma and passing the postal employment test. I qualified myself for the IRS job by earning a bachelor’s degree in business and passing the Federal Service Entrance Examination. I qualified myself for the GAO job by earning an MBA and passing the CPA examination on my first attempt. Because of ever-increasing pressure to hire, retain, and promote young minorities and young females, my job-related bachelor’s degree, my three job-related master’s degrees, my six job-related professional certifications, and my job-related professional license ever-increasingly became worthless.

HIRING LAB
— Educational Requirements Are Gradually Disappearing From Job Postings. Amid growing support for skills-first hiring practices, employers are becoming less likely to require formal education credentials for jobs. DD: Because of ever-increasing pressure to hire, retain, and promote young minorities and young females, my job-related bachelor’s degree, my three job-related master’s degrees, my six job-related professional certifications, and my job-related professional license ever-increasingly became worthless.

HR EXECUTIVE
— EEOC puts Fortune 500 on notice over DEI. DD: When I graduated from NIU with a bachelor’s degree in management when I was 21 in 1970, I applied to many fortune 500 firms. Only Firestone Stores offered me a job, and it was for a job that really did not require a college degree. All the firms that I applied to were under tremendous pressure from EEOC to hire minorities, females, and veterans. I was not a minority, female, or veteran. To make matters worse, potential employers saw me as being Vietnam War draft bait. They did not believe that my financial hardship draft deferment application would be approved. Beyond that, my GPA was not that great because I had spent far too many hours delivering mail instead of studying to work my way through college.

CPA JOURNAL
— Glass Ceiling Shattered?  Audit Partner Gender Diversity Within Accounting Firms. DD: Choosing the right college major is extremely important. I should have majored in accounting from the beginning, but I did not until I was 27 in 1976 when I started taking graduate evening accounting courses at DePaul. I passed the CPA examination on my first attempt when I was 30. I earned a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul when I was 31. I passed the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt when I was 32. I became a licensed CPA when I was 32. But by then, the accounting profession had no interest in me a) because it viewed me as being too old and b) because my demographics were terrible. The profession was under tremendous pressure to advance minorities and females. Why didn’t I major in accounting from the beginning? I erroneously believed that because I was not strong in math, I could never pass the CPA examination. But I belatedly came to realize that accountants do not use the types of math that I was not strong in.

GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— In Illinois, Democrat leaders ever-increasingly a) demonize, denigrate, and condemn everything that Trump says or does and b) shout at Illinois voters that if you do not like what Trump says or does, cast a Democrat primary ballot, but if not that, do not vote at all.  – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— What motivates you to help elect candidates? For me, it is their promise, their demonstrated ability, and their track record to defend and advance the Republican Party platform, including its personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration, anti-vice, Second Amendment, and equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks. From what I see, what motivates far too many to help elect candidates is their promise, their demonstrated ability, and their track record to use government to give more preference to those who share their demographics. Democrat elected officials ever-increasingly use government to give more preference to those who are liberal/moderate, minority, female, younger, non-rich, non-married, LGBTQ, non-Protestant, non-German American, have ancestors who have not been in America for a long time, and/or noncitizen. – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— How many candidates on the Republican primary ballot in your precinct are going to lose March 17? In my precinct, three of the four governor candidates will lose. Five of the six U.S. Senate candidates will lose. One of the two Secretary of State candidates will lose. One of the two DuPage County Sheriff candidates will lose. If the future repeats the past, my critics/opponents will hint/imply/argue/shout at the losing candidates that me and my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters caused them to lose. Further, my critics/opponents will hint/imply/argue/shout at the winning candidates that if they lose on November 3, it will be because of me and my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters. Should I name my critics/opponents? Should I list the adverse actions that they have had their operatives and their dupes take against me to stop me from sending out my newsletter and to stop everyone from reading my newsletters? My critics/opponents destroy those like me a) who they cannot manipulate/dominate b) who refuse to glorify and praise them, c) who refuse to pander to them, d) who refuse to serve as one of their operatives or dupes, e) who refuse to cover up their wrong doing, and/or f) who refuse to give them money. – Dave Diersen

Kaczmarek demonizes, denigrates, and condemns ICE, military, and federal agents. But to do that is demonize, denigrate, and condemn not only Trump, but to demonize, denigrate, and condemn all Republicans. In the interest of full disclosure, I am a registered Republican voter, I am an elected Republican Precinct Committeeman, I am the GOPUSA Illinois Editor, and my wife is an election judge. – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— What has your Republican Precinct Committeeman done to increase the number of Republican ballots cast in your precinct in the March 17 primary? I spent many hours a) putting 800 mailing labels and 400 return address labels on 400 DuPage County GOP envelopes, b) putting them into walk order, c) stuffing them with an unmarked sample ballot, a Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) Voter Guide, and campaign literature the five candidates who provided MTRO with their literature, d) dividing them into 5 batches, and e) hand-delivering them. – Dave Diersen
