GOPUSA ILLINOIS — From the beginning, Democrats used Affirmative Action (AA) to get rid of Republicans. Ever-increasingly, RINOs used AA to get rid of Republicans. Because Democrats and RINOs reject the Supreme Court ruling and because they reject the equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) plank in the Republican Party platform, they will continue to use Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to get rid of Republicans. I should write a book about how Democrats and RINOs have used AA and DEI to get rid of Republicans. I would use as examples how my Democrat superiors in the federal government used AA and DEI to get rid of Republicans. I would use as examples how the following used AA and DEI to get rid of Republicans: a) RINO leaders of the Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization, b) RINO leaders of Illinois, DuPage County, Milton Township, Wheaton, Wheaton Park District, and Wheaton Chamber of Commerce. I would focus on the aforesaid who have benefited the most from AA and DEI, that is, those who have benefitted the most from patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, and/or age discrimination. I would focus on the aforesaid who have taken the most/biggest adverse actions against me because I support the equal opportunity plank. – Dave Diersen http://www.gopillinois.com
GOPUSA ILLINOIS — How has Affirmative Action (AA), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) been used against you, that is, how have you been made to pay the price of AA and DEI? All my coworkers who my Democrat IRS and GAO superiors promoted over me were Democrats who were minority, female, and/or younger and who had less job-related work experience than I had, less job-related education than I had, and/or fewer professional certifications and licenses than I had. My Democrat IRS and GAO superiors gave them preferred job assignments, easier to meet performance expectations, inflated performance appraisals, bigger pay increases, and bonuses. I should write a book about the aforesaid. – Dave Diersen http://www.gopillinois.com

Generally, to become a Republican county party chairman, you have to have successfully served as a Republican township/ward party chairman. Generally, to be a Republican township/ward party chairman, you have to have successfully served as a Republican township/ward party vice chairman, secretary, and/or treasurer. To be a Republican township/ward party officer, you have to be a Republican Precinct Committeeman/Captain. How much preference has your Republican township/ward party organization given to its Republican Precinct Committeemen/Captains who are minority, female, and/or younger? Those who are minority, female, and/or younger are more likely, if not far more likely, to reject the equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) plank in the Republican Party platform. I should write a book about the preference that the Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) has given since 2000 to its Republican Precinct Committeemen who are minority, female, and/or younger. I would focus on those MTRO chairmen who have taken the most/biggest adverse actions against me including a) rudely discouraging me from sending out GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters, b) rudely discouraging MTRO Republican Precinct Committeemen from reading my newsletters, c) rudely hinting/implying/arguing/shouting that I have caused all the defeats that Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct have suffered since 2000, d) rudely twice terminating me as MTRO webmaster, e) rudely gerrymandering my precinct, f) rudely ending my bids to be appointed to fill a Wheaton City Council West District vacancy and to serve as MTRO Treasurer, and g) rudely discouraging MTRO Precinct Committeemen from becoming members of TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois and Illinois Center Right Coalition (ICRC) and from attending TAPROOT and ICRC events. – Dave Diersen http://www.gopillinois.com
GOPUSA ILLINOIS — What have you done to defend and advance the equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) plank in the Republican Party platform, that is, what have you done to fight political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, religious discrimination, and/or national origin discrimination? I increasingly complained about the aforesaid while I worked for the Democrats who ran the Post Office 1966-1969, IRS 1971-1980, and GAO 1980-1997. In 1988, I became an active member in a class action lawsuit that charged my GAO superiors with reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation for complaining about the aforesaid. JONATHAN TURLEY — The Berkeley Files: Faculty Applicants Were Ranked on Their Support for DEI Policies and Practices (COMMENT: Constructively, ever-increasingly, under the Democrats, and under the RINOs, everyone in America is ranked on their support for DEI. FORBES — Democrats say “Why More Workers Are Making Gutsy Career Moves.” GAO works for Congress. GAO audits IRS. I should write a book about my decision in 1980 when I was 31 years old to suffer a $21,863 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars, that is, a downgrade from GS-12 Step 5 (currently $104,583/year) to GS-9 Step 10 (currently $82,720/year), to transfer from IRS to GAO. My Democrat IRS superiors were making it ever-increasingly clear that they would never promote me to GS-13, currently $109,732/year. GAO claimed to be nonpartisan. The GAO Chicago Office Staff manager (Bill) who arranged for my transfer assured me that under him, GAO would a) quickly promote me to GS-11 Step 10 (currently $100,084/year), b) quickly promote me back to GS-12 Step 5, and c) quickly promote me to GS 13. But immediately after I transferred, the Democrats who ran GAO’s Chicago Office replaced Bill with a Democrat Staff Manager (Dave) who was extremely anti-Republican, if not a Republican-hater. To delay my promotions, that is, to get me, Dave used Affirmative Action and up-or-out a) to give me bad job assignments, b) to give me unfair performance expectations and appraisals, c) to assign me to supervise the office’s most problematic employees, d) to turn all my superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates against me, and e) to kept me off audits of IRS. But then, in 1986, because Dave had gone on extended sick leave, Bill was finally able to get me assigned to audits of IRS and to promote me to GS-13. But then, in 1987, Dave came back and a) threatened me to never apply for a promotion again and forced Bill to retire. Dave then a) threw me off audits of IRS at the end of 1988, b) gave me an extremely bad job assignment at the start of 1989, c) got my supervisor to give me extremely unfair performance expectations and appraisals, d) turned my four subordinates against me, and e) ranked me at the bottom of my coworkers for pay-for-performance (PFP) purposes. That forced me to seek help from my Republican Congressman Henry Hyde. Thanks to Hyde, Dave reduced his efforts to get rid of me somewhat. But Dave still succeed in a) keeping me off audits of IRS for the rest of my GAO career, b) always ranking me in the bottom half of my coworkers for PFP purposes, and c) forcing me to take GAO’s early retirement “offer” in 1997 when I was 49 years old. The aforesaid is called political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, and age discrimination. I should write a book about the aforesaid. https://www.forbes.com/sites/carolinecastrillon/2023/06/18/why-more-workers-are-making-gutsy-career-moves/

It’s simple physics: You have limited availability, you advantage somebody to include, you disadvantage someone else. Mr. Fitzpatrick writes that when Thomas Jefferson High, a magnet school in Virginia, was unable politically to use race as a factor in admissions, it started using middle schools as proxies for race. I know that story well. In the 1960s, I was honored to attend the University of Chicago High School, one of the best in the country and predominantly Jewish. The Ivy League schools, feeling that there were too many of “them” gaining admission based on merit, had strict quotas on admissions from my school. Straight-A students with stellar records didn’t get those coveted two or three open spots. Over half a century, the players and the pieces may change, but the game, sadly, remains the same.)

REPUBLIC — I should write a book about being forced to take early retirement. I have almost 26 years of experience. https://www.therepublic.com/2023/06/18/finding-your-sweet-spot-in-retirement/ (FROM THE ARTICLE: Moynes calls the first phase the “Vacation Phase.” When you first retire, every day is a vacation. You can enjoy the freedom of no longer having a set schedule. You can stay up late, sleep in, tackle your never-ending “honey-do” list or travel. Some people will stay in this phase and be perfectly content. While this phase can be refreshing and fun, after a year or two, many retirees might eventually experience boredom and a longing for routine — and start questioning whether there is more to life. Enter phase two, labeled “Feeling Loss and Feeling Lost.” Retirement can bring about significant losses in structure, identity, relationships, sense of purpose and a sense of power. It is one of the top 10 life traumas. Without a clear purpose, retirees are at a greater risk for experiencing depression, physical and mental decline, and even divorce. It can be easy to “plunge into the abyss of insignificance.” . . . Moynes calls phase three the “Rehab Phase.” It is characterized by trial and error as retirees actively seek ways to make their lives meaningful and productive again. They ask themselves how they can contribute and often go through a period of experimentation and false starts. A recent Harvard research study found that people who fared the best in retirement found ways to cultivate connections and focused on the importance of developing new sources of meaning and purpose. Finding what gives your life purpose is a process of self-reflection. Moynes outlined a process for finding your “Unique Ability.” You start by ruling out things at which you are incompetent, that you do only marginally well, or you absolutely can’t stand. Instead, you should look for activities and talents to share that you love to do and that you do really well. Your “Unique Ability” is found in the “things you love to do and do superbly.” Phase four, “Reinvent & Rewire,” is reached by those who successfully break through phase three. Once you have found your unique ability, it’s time to find your “Sweet Spot.” This is the intersection of what the world needs, what you are good at, what you love to do and what you can be rewarded for either monetarily or emotionally.)

The change is the result of a shift in state policy, preventing — for now — events like last year, when dozens of Venezuelan migrants arrived in suburbs including Elk Grove Village, Des Plaines, Prospect Heights and Burr Ridge. “I have kept in touch with (state officials) and the state didn’t preclude reviving the process in the future, but are looking for more sustainable solutions to handle the numbers they are talking about,” Des Plaines Mayor Andrew Goczkowski said. “Right now those solutions seem to be focused on working with the city of Chicago to make the most of the federal dollars that were pushed in.” Des Plaines took in about 80 Venezuelan migrants last year, while Elk Grove Village became temporary home to about 90 and Prospect Heights welcomed about 200 asylum-seekers. A hotel in a part of Burr Ridge in DuPage County took in 64 asylum-seekers in what seemed to be a rare example of a transfer outside Cook County. An Illinois Department of Human Services spokesperson said by email that using suburban hotels to house asylum-seekers last fall was seen as a short-term solution, and that Chicago and the state continue to work together to support recent arrivals. He said the department allocated an additional $10 million last month to the city as part of a grant agreement to help asylum-seekers. The large group that arrived in Prospect Heights last October consisted mainly of families and included about 60 children. Prospect Heights City Administrator Joe Wade said he was impressed by how the community — particularly Wheeling Township Elementary District 21 — welcomed the new arrivals and incorporated them into existing programs. Though the impact on municipal resources was minimal, a Prospect Heights police officer took about 50 kids to a local park to play shortly after their arrival, Wade said.
