— Female legislators: More should be done to reduce sexual harassment – Rachel Hinton (DIERSEN: Because ever-increasingly, members of the following groups are stereotyped by anti-Trumps as being sexual harassers and even worse things, will anti-Trump female legislators ban members of the following groups from seeking or holding government and political offices: Trump supporters, Protestant, conservative, patriotic, Republican, American, White, male, older, rich, gun owners, draft avoiders, German Americans, and/or those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time?)

— Before African Americans vote for Pritzker — or anybody else — let’s get a list – LAURA WASHINGTON (DIERSEN: How do the candidates on the Republican primary ballot for your precinct treat voters who share your demographics? How do those candidates treat voters who are Trump supporters, Protestant, conservative, patriotic, Republican, American, White, male, older, rich, gun owners, draft avoiders, German American, and/or voters whose ancestors have been in America for a long time? How do those candidates treat voters who are federal retirees, former union members, childless, pet-less, and those who are not a member of any church, do not attend church services, and do not give money to a church? How do those candidates treat voters who support planks in the Republican Party and the Illinois Republican Party platform that the candidate rejects, for example, the traditional family, right to life, immigration, Second Amendment, and equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks? How do those candidates treat voters who support the Milton Township Republican Central Committee resolution against video gambling? How do those candidates treat voters who oppose promoting LGBTQ activity, abortion, mass/illegal immigration, booze, gambling, pot, and other vices, patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation?)

CHICAGO TRIBUNE
— Cook County sheriff sues to unmask ‘Dan,’ an anonymous person accusing him of domestic abuse – Steve Schmadeke and Jeremy Gorner (DIERSEN: My nasty troubled vicious critics/opponents have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout in Wheaton, in Glen Ellyn, in Milton Township, in DuPage County, and Illinois and they know that I am litigious. Because of that, they have their operatives and their dupes who have little or no income or net worth slander me. They know that it is difficult, if not impossible, to collect punitive damages from someone who has little or no income or net worth. My nasty troubled vicious critics/opponents shout at their operatives and at their dupes that since 1999, I have been a “public figure,” and therefore, I “cannot succeed in a lawsuit on incorrect harmful statements in the United States unless there is proof that the writer or publisher acted with actual malice by knowing the falsity or by reckless disregard for the truth. The legal burden of proof in defamation actions is thus higher in the case of a public figure than in the case of an ordinary person.” SEE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_figure I should write a book about the times when my critics/opponents have had their operatives and their dupes slander me at TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois events, Milton Township Republican Central Committee events, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce events, Illinois Center Right Coalition events, and other events. Much of the aforesaid slander took place in the Wheaton Bowl Banquet Hall.)

NEWSMAX
— Immigration Reform Should Favor Tradition Over Transformation – James Walsh (DIERSEN: Democrats want to fill America with members of the following groups because members of the following groups vote for Democrats: anti-Trump, anti-Protestant, anti-conservative, anti-patriotic, anti-Republican, anti-American, anti-White, anti-male, anti-older people, anti-rich people, anti-gun owners, anti-German Americans, and/or anti-those whose ancestors have been in America longer than their ancestors.)
https://www.newsmax.com/jameswalsh/departmental-regulations-rules/2018/02/14/id/843310/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Former President Barack H. Obama bequeathed a divided nation to President Donald J. Trump. Obama’s executive orders and departmental rules and regulations were meant to bypass regular order — congressional legislation — like opening American borders to under-vetted or unvetted foreign nationals. Immigration confusion and disorder were just one example of Obama’s legacy of governmental anarchy seeking social and political realignment. President Lyndon B. Johnson and the Democrats sought to transform America by their 1964 civil rights and 1965 immigration legislation. Obama signed highly questionable executive orders and permitted promulgation of questionable rules, regulations, and policies, including the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive order — to transform America. Attacks by the mainstream media on President Trump and Republicans were non-stop and vicious even before the election. They continue in 2018. Whether late night talk shows, cable networks, or the print-media, the vitriolic hatred of President Trump spins forth without letting up. The maneuvers of the Johnson, Clinton, and Obama administrations to authorize entitlement and immigration policies have divided the nation. They are part of a plan to transform America. So far, they’ve been successful. The so-called “Dreamers,” are in reality foreign nationals here illegally, unvetted, demanding all the benefits granted American citizens. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., created the “Dreamer” idea in 2001. He did so with his proposed “Development Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act” (Dream Act). For 17 years that Act has remained as a proposed — not enacted. As of Feb. 13, 2018, Sen. Durbin is still fabricating reasons for support of his Dream Act. Why? To ally with voters for the Democratic Party of the future. Dreamers are not all academic scholars, full-time employees, nor members of the U.S. armed forces; extremely few are academic all-stars or military members. Federal, state, and local law enforcement arrest blotters are daily chronicles of crimes committed by illegal immigrants and Dreamers. Here the news media remains appreciably absent. One in five federal prison inmates is an illegal immigrant — such prisoners are not incarcerated for jay-walking or for traffic citations. It appears that about 13 percent of state prison populations are illegal immigrants. They make up less than 3 percent of the U.S. population.)

NEW YORK TIMES

— If a Law Bars Asking Your Past Salary, Does It Help or Hurt? – Noam Scheiber (DIERSEN: Past, present, and future government employees are at a tremendous disadvantage a) because their salary is public record and b) because they are viciously demonized, denigrated, and condemned as being overpaid. In its February 1978 article on me, Money Magazine shouted that IRS was overpaying me. IRS was paying me $89,178/year in today’s dollars, I had worked for IRS for 6 1/2 years, I had earned an MBA from Loyola in 1976, and I was taking graduate accounting courses at DePaul. In 1980, my Democrat GAO superiors used Money Magazine’s article to force me to take a $19,203 pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO even though I had passed the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979 and I had almost completed the requirements for a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Municipal ID cards that Mayor Rahm Emanuel is launching for undocumented immigrants and others will be a valid form of identification for people both registering to vote and voting in Chicago, according to a letter aldermen received Friday. . .But a handful of City Council members are vehemently opposed to the cards. Northwest Side Ald. Nick Sposato, 38th, said he was “beyond disappointed” Valencia opted to make the cards a valid ID for voting. Sposato pointed out the city is not planning to keep any of the background information applicants provide to establish their home addresses, so undocumented immigrants aren’t afraid federal immigration agents can use the data to track them down. “I’m not sure of the validity of this,” Sposato said. “They may not have citizenship. BREITBART
— Trump Nominates 11th Wave of Federal Judges – KEN KLUKOWSKI (DIERSEN: In Diersen v. GAO, Peter Fitzgerald appointed both the district court judge, Amy J. St. Eve, and the attorney who represented GAO, Patrick Fitzgerald. All of the aforesaid made it very clear that they favored patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation. Eve granted Patrick Fitzgerald’s motion to deny me my 7th Amendment rights, that is, to deny me a jury trial. Of course, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes used that to hint/imply/argue/shout that Peter Fitzgerald, Eve, and Patrick Fitzgerald viewed me as being someone who was lazy, stupid, bad, and even worse things.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Amy St. Eve for the Seventh Circuit. A graduate of Cornell Law School, she is a former federal prosecutor and private litigator. St. Eve is currently a federal trial judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois as well as an instructor at Northwestern University’s law school.)

— The New Tax Law: State and Local Tax Deductions The tax overhaul caps the deduction for state and local taxes at $10,000 per return – Laura Saunders (DIERSEN: Government should encourage marriage and homeownership. The $10,000 SALT cap discourages marriage and home ownership. My wife and I have paid the marriage penalty big time since we got married in 1978. Further under the new Republican tax law, if there was no marriage penalty, instead of $10,000, the SALT cap would be $20,000 for married filing jointly.)
https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-new-tax-law-state-and-local-tax-deductions-1518542356
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The new cap will also affect many married couples who file jointly more than it will affect singles, as the $10,000 limit is per return and not per person. Some Wall Street Journal readers have asked whether two spouses can each file separately for 2018 and claim two $10,000 deductions. The answer is no. Although married couples can file separate returns, in this case each spouse would get a $5,000 deduction for state and local taxes. To qualify for two $10,000 deductions, the couple would have to divorce.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Erika Harold, former Miss America Harold, the 2003 Miss America, is running for statewide office to be Illinois attorney general. The Harvard law grad and Phi Beta Kappa is a practicing lawyer in Champaign, Illinois. The young Republican entered the Miss America pageant hoping she could win some money to pay for law school. As a teen, she promoted teenage abstinence, and later, she served as a GOP delegate to the 2004 Republican Convention and was also an enthusiastic supporter of President George W. Bush’s faith-based initiatives. This is not Harold’s first campaign — a couple of years back she also challenged incumbent Illinois Rep. Rodney Davis, a Republican, for his seat in Congress, losing in the primary. This time, in her bid to be the Illinois attorney general, Harold has a better shot, having secured the support of the state’s Republicans. It also helps that the popular current state AG, Lisa Madigan, a Democrat, announced she will not run for re-election. Harold is not always in lock-step with her party, though. She declined to vote for Mr. Trump in 2016 (or for Hillary Clinton, for that matter), choosing instead to write in a candidate.)

https://chicago.suntimes.com/news/arthur-jones-nominating-petitions-bridgeview-holocaust-denier-anti-semitic-views/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: On an unusually warm afternoon last fall, residents in Bridgeview opened their doors to a stranger. Arthur Jones was going house to house in the southwest suburb on Oct. 5, rounding up signatures for his primary election petition for Congress. Voters signed it after Jones told them he was hoping to run as a Republican against Democrat Rep. Dan Lipinski in the 3rd Congressional District. What Jones didn’t say is that he’s an avowed anti-Semite, Holocaust denier and the former leader of the New American Nazi Party. “He seemed like a nice guy,” said Michal Bodyziak, whose wife, Anna, signed her name to the petition. Now Jones is the sole GOP candidate in the 3rd District on the primary ballot March 20, which means he is on track to be the Republican Party nominee in the November general election. On a 10-degree evening last week, residents in Bridgeview opened their doors once again to tell a Chicago Sun-Times reporter how Jones went about collecting some of the 603 signatures he needed. Of the six people who agreed to be interviewed, none had heard of Jones until he rang their doorbells. Jones, 70, of Lyons, is now the subject of national and international news after the Sun-Times reported on Feb. 4 that the he was poised to clinch the nomination. In an interview with the Sun-Times, Jones has said he’s in charge of an organization called the American First Committee, whose membership is limited to “any white American citizen of European, non-Jewish descent.” But while he was collecting signatures, Jones didn’t mention any of that. “He just told us he was all about the people,” Michal Bodyziak said. Bodyziak said he and his wife are immigrants from Poland. Jones didn’t say that he denies there was a Holocaust in which 6 million Jews died, many of them in Poland. “No, he said none of that,” Anna Bodyziak said. According to her husband, Jones said he “wanted to help the state make everything better, lower taxes and that. Yes, it was very positive.” When a reporter showed the couple video snippets of Jones’ controversial statements on Jews, they winced. They said they could never support Jones for Congress after seeing that. A neighbor down the block also gave Jones his signature. The man said he’d never heard of Jones, either, but he agreed to sign the petition “because I want people to run for office. If I knew he stood for any of that, I wouldn’t have signed.” About a mile away, Medardo Elizalde was sitting on his couch when his son opened the door to a reporter. The son said his father mostly speaks Spanish and translated for him. He asked his dad if he remembered signing Jones’ petition. Jones had said people wanted to keep him off the ballot, Elizalde recalled. Elizalde said he gave his signature so Jones would go away. Jones managed to collect 834 signatures in Bedford Park, Bridgeview, Chicago Ridge, Countryside, Hickory Hills, Homer Glen, Justice, La Grange, Oak Lawn, Orland Park, Palos Hills, Stickney, Summit and Worth — but none in Chicago. “I waited on the last day, Dec. 4, to file my signatures. I turned them in, fully expecting for an objection or that there would be a candidate that they’re putting up against me,” he has told the Sun-Times. Though GOP officials in his own party have now repudiated Jones and his candidacy, he still thinks he’s got a shot even though the district is overwhelmingly Democratic. Lipinski, of Western Springs, faces Marie Newman, of LaGrange, in the Democratic primary. Said Jones, “Listen, I don’t go to all this damn trouble if I didn’t believe I had a chance to win.”)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: And Rauner’s running mate Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti separately called the spot “offensive and disgusting.” “I was just taken aback. I don’t think it speaks to policies at all, I just think it’s offensive to individuals,” Sanguinetti said. Sanguinetti and Ives briefly served together on the Wheaton City Council before Ives entered the Illinois House and Sanguinetti later became lieutenant governor. Sanguinetti said she and Ives are “not friends.” “The Jeanne Ives that you folks are seeing in that commercial, that sort of spirit, is the same Jeanne Ives that I have known for the last seven to eight years,” Sanguinetti said. “I saw it from the dais, I’ve seen it in my community and now all of you are getting a taste of it, and I’m hopeful that that will be rejected.”)

— Rauner gets backing over Ives from Cook County Republicans
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/politics/ct-bruce-rauner-jeanne-ives-cook-county-20180207-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Cook County was important in the 2014 Republican governor primary, when Rauner prevailed by more than 27,000 votes over his nearest competitor, then-state Sen. Kirk Dillard. Rauner won the nomination by fewer than 24,000 votes statewide. Though the county is a Democratic stronghold in statewide elections, it also had the most Republican primary voters in Illinois that year. More than 168,000 people in Cook County voted for a GOP candidate for governor in the 2014 primary. Compare that to a little more than 92,000 in DuPage County, traditionally home turf for Republicans. (It’s also the home county of Dillard and Ives. Last time, Rauner won there too. The March 20 primary election’s dynamics are different this time, of course — it’s a one-on-one battle instead of a four-candidate field. . .Ives’ campaign put out a statement late Tuesday noting the candidate’s numerous collar county GOP township endorsements. “The taxpayers will defeat Rauner in March, the Democrats in November. And they will do that behind the charge of Rep. Jeanne Ives,” the statement read in part. The Cook endorsement announcement came as Rauner’s campaign for the first time unveiled a TV ad attacking Ives. In response, Ives called him “an unrepentant liar.”)

http://www.news-gazette.com/news/local/2018-02-07/tom-kacich-ives-strategist-backing-more-one-horse.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Speaking of Ives Her appearance Saturday night in Champaign drew a crowd of about 50 people, none of whom included her Republican legislative colleagues from East Central Illinois. None of them has endorsed her, and it may be because she doesn’t spare anyone with her criticism. Take this example where she hit both Rauner and the 15 House Republicans who joined with Democrats last year to pass a state budget and end a long impasse. “You can make deals, but you cannot adjust and continually cave. He caved to pressure on the education bill. He caved to pressure on the budget bill,” Ives said of Rauner. “He made not a single phone call to get Republicans to hold off on that permanent 32 percent tax increase. He owns that tax increase. He caved, as did many of my colleagues. Many of them have been taken control of by lobbyists. It’s frightening down there. Frightening.” The only past or present Republican officeholders I saw at the Ives function were Savoy Mayor Joan Dykstra, Champaign County Board member Jim McGuire, Parkland College Board member Greg Knott and former county board member Scott Tapley, who is coordinating the Ives campaign in Champaign County. Ives also said the “entire Democratic ticket is like a bunch of socialists. They picked out the most extreme in terms of that. We think we have a fighting chance in this state to get out that message.” The most socially conservative candidate for governor since at least 2010, Ives insisted she can win in the fall. “When it comes to November, the reason we win is because my message is universal, and I can back it up with real bills and real action I’ve taken on the most critical issues in the state of Illinois which are property taxes, the tax burden overall and public corruption,” she said. Also, she knows how to pick up free publicity. Ives has spent little money on broadcast television in the Champaign-Decatur-Springfield market (just $13,948 at WCIA, according to records), but she got lots of free coverage earlier this week from her controversial TV ad attacking Rauner for his support of legislation benefiting transgender individuals, undocumented immigrants, abortion rights and funding for Chicago schools. “We’re happy to have them chatter among the media to raise my name i.d.,” she said. “Go ahead. Love it.”)

The commercial features actors thanking Governor Bruce Rauner for policies benefitting Chicago teachers, or women seeking taxpayer-funded abortions. It also features what appears to be a male actor playing a transgender female. Democratic candidates and advocacy groups are condemning the ad, which is running statewide this weekend, as “repulsive” and “appalling.” The Ives campaign responded by saying the ad “represents Governor Rauner’s chosen constituents based on the policy choices he made.”)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: “On a number of occasions, in an effort to build my brand, I bought Twitter followers,” Roeper said. “I did this on my own, without the knowledge of the Chicago Sun-Times or any other media organization for which I have worked.” In six purchases between 2014 and 2016, Roeper spent about $650 of his own money to obtain roughly 50,000 followers. That was according to receipts he had kept to date, but “he did not rule out other potential purchases,” according to Sun-Times management. Roeper, who has been with the paper since 1982, said he was unaware the purchased accounts were fake, or that others’ identities had been compromised. He was described in the statement as “genuinely contrite.”)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: One of Ives’ new ads is a real doozy, featuring various people “thanking” Gov. Rauner for things like “paying for my abortions” and also has a man dressed as a woman saying: “Thank you for signing legislation that lets me use the girls’ bathroom.” As I write this, it’s unclear if that explosive ad will air, but if it does it will certainly get noticed. A week of Chicago broadcast TV ads costs about $660,000, and Illinois has a ton of other media markets from Rockford all the way down to the Kentucky border. The last public poll in this race showed that 68 percent of likely Republican primary voters had never even heard of Jeanne Ives. Gov. Rauner was leading Ives by 45 points in that survey and he is refusing to ever debate her again. So, it’s gonna take a lot more than a few thousand Facebook views, a day of positive earned media coverage and a million bucks to put Rep. Ives over the top. A lot more. Weirder stuff has most certainly happened in politics. But people should take a breath and see how this all plays out before making any sort of predictions.)

RED STATE
— Axios Posts A Racist And Sexist Job Announcement (DIERSEN: Ever-increasingly, employers make it clear that they do not want to hire, retain, or promote those who are Trump supporters, Protestant, conservative, patriotic, Republican, American, White, male, older, rich, gun owners, German American, draft avoiders, and/or those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time.)
https://www.redstate.com/streiff/2018/01/27/axios-posts-racist-sexist-job-announcement/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: This ad is notable for a couple of things. First, it is illegal. Second, it is a manager saying I don’t really care if you have skills, what I really want is people with the correct melanin, genitalia, and sexual dysfunction or deviance. And take a close look at that picture. Do you really think women or homosexuals are UNDER-represented? Now, apparently, lawyers have got involved and Axios has taken down the ad. But they can’t get rid of the problem. Now any white male who answers the ad knows that he’s only being considered to the extent necessary to avoid a lawsuit. And they’ve gone a long way towards creating what would be called a “hostile work environment” for normal, white male employees because they’ve just been told there are too many of them. Full disclosure: I don’t really object to companies being able to hire whoever the hell they wish and state it up front. It saves a lot of time and effort on the part of the company and job applicants. But that isn’t the law and if the law is to have any meaning whatsoever it must protect everyone, not just a chosen few. The fact that Axios feels so comfortable in advertising its racism and its sexism shows just how corrupting the drive to achieve “diversity,” whatever that is, has become.)

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/02/opinion/leaving-the-fbi.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: One of the greatest honors of my life was walking across the stage at the F.B.I. Academy and receiving my special agent badge from the director at the time, Robert Mueller. After 21 weeks of intensive training, my class swore an oath and became federal agents entrusted with the solemn duty of protecting Americans and upholding the Constitution. After more than a decade of service, which included investigating terrorism, working to rescue kidnapping victims overseas and being special assistant to the director, I am reluctantly turning in my badge and leaving an organization I love. Why? So I can join the growing chorus of people who believe that the relentless attacks on the bureau undermine not just America’s premier law enforcement agency but also the nation’s security. My resignation is painful, but the alternative of remaining quiet while the bureau is tarnished for political gain is impossible. A small number of my current and retired colleagues have said that we should simply keep our heads down until the storm passes. I say this with the greatest respect: They are wrong. If those who know the agency best remain silent, it will be defined by those with partisan agendas. F.B.I. agents are dogged people who do not care about the direction of political winds. But to succeed in their work, they need public backing. Scorched-earth attacks from politicians with partisan goals now threaten that support, raising corrosive doubts about the integrity of the F.B.I. that could last for generations.)

I worked for GAO for almost 18 years 1980-1997, a) the last 11 years of which at the GS-13 Step 1-10 levels, currently, $96,403-$125,325, b) the last 9 years on audits of federal financial industry regulators, and c) the 3 years before that on audits of IRS. I worked for IRS for almost 9 years 1971-1980, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 levels, currently $81,071-$91,880. I passed the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979. I passed the Certified Internal Auditor Examination on my first attempt in 1981. I became a licensed CPA in 1981, a Certified Fraud Examiner in 1990, a Certified Government Financial Manager in 1994, a Certified Financial Services Auditor in 1996, and a Forensic Accountant in 1997. I earned a bachelor’s degree in management from NIU in 1970, an MBA from Loyola in 1976, a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul in 1980, and a master’s degree in financial markets and trading from IIT in 1997. — Trump’s Vision for Vocational Education Gets a Tepid Reception – Erica L. Green (DIERSEN: Were you considered to be college material? While I attended Crete-Monee High School 1962-1966, I took college preparatory courses notwithstanding the fact that many, if not most, if not virtually everyone at the time viewed me as NOT being “college material.” Neither of my parents had attended college. My father was the first of his ancestors to earn a high school diploma. My mother never attended high school. I spent my junior and senior years and the summer in between washing dishes for the minimum wage in the basement of the S.S. Kresges in Chicago Heights. I just barely made into the top 20% of my class, my ACT score was only 24, I was draft bait, my eyesight could not be corrected to 20/20, I had partial red/green color blindness, and I had Osgood-Schlatter disease (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osgood%E2%80%93Schlatter_disease). Further, my father had fought type 1 diabetes from age 14. I am sure that many thought that I would soon come down with type 1 diabetes too.)

RIPON ADVANCE
— Republican-led House oversight subcommittee, House colleagues urge IRS reform
https://riponadvance.com/featured/republican-led-house-oversight-subcommittee-house-colleagues-urge-irs-reform/

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Among the witnesses testifying before the subcommittee were U.S. Reps. Peter Roskam (R-IL) and Jim Renacci (R-OH), who each outlined two bills they separately introduced and would like to have members consider. Rep. Roskam, for instance, last August introduced the Free File Permanence Act of 2017, H.R. 3641, which has been referred to the House Ways and Means Committee. The bill would require the U.S. Treasury Department to continue operating the IRS Free File Program and to work with state government agencies and the private sector to expand and enhance the program, which offers free commercial-type online individual income tax preparation and electronic filing services to the lowest 70 percent of taxpayers by income, according to the bill’s summary. “As an added bonus, the program actually saves the federal government an estimated $13 million a year because electronic filings are less expensive for the IRS to process than paper versions,” said Roskam. The bipartisan bill has 123 cosponsors, including subcommittee chairman Jenkins and subcommittee members Bishop, Walorski, LaHood, and Curbelo. Rep. Roskam also introduced the bipartisan Restraining Excessive Seizure of Property through the Exploitation of Civil Asset Forfeiture Tools Act, H.R. 1843, on March 30, 2017, which would limit IRS authority to seize the funds of law-abiding citizens under false pretenses, said Roskam. Multiple incidences uncovered by House Oversight Subcommittee members showed that the IRS has abused its authority “and was stealing legally earned funds solely because the owners ran afoul of structuring laws,” he said. An identical bill, S. 824, was introduced in the Senate by U.S. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) on April 4, 2017. Roskam’s bill passed the House on a voice vote in September and now awaits consideration by the Senate Finance Committee.)

WGN RADIO
— What can we expect from the next legislative session in Springfield? – PETER ZIMMERMAN (DIERSEN: If I was still the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman, everyone could expect and I would deliver a breakfast meeting the third Saturday of every month except August and December, a picnic every August, and a Christmas party every December. Everyone could expect and I would deliver speakers at those events that would include candidates in upcoming elections. Currently, for example, Rauner, Ives, Sanguinetti, Morthland, Harold, Grasso, Diganvker, Jhingan, Stella, Vlakancic, Minor, Grant, Byrne, Kinzler, Orozco, Zito, Khouri, Mendrick, Bibbiano, Tornatore, DeMichele, Gavanes, Hart, Abbott, Tully, McGowen, Almiron, Eckhoff, Zaruba, Tatro, Chinchilla, Wiley, Zay, McQuade, Illinois Republican Party State Central Committee candidates, DuPage County Republican Central Committee candidates, Republican township party candidates, etc. One could argue that incumbent Republicans would be far more likely to want to get rid of TAPROOT because TAPROOT, unlike many other organizations, gave challengers an opportunity to speak. While the West Suburban Patriots organization in Wheaton has barred the following Republican elected officials from speaking at its events because they have endorsed Rauner and Sanguinetti, under my chairmanship, they would be welcome to speak at TAPROOT events, provided that they agreed to take questions from the audience: Dan Cronin, Steve Chirico, Jim Durkin, John Curran, Patti Bellock, Grant Wehrli, Christine Winger, Bob Berlin, Fred Bucholz, Gwen Henry, Paul Hinds, Richard Jorgenson, Greg Hart, Brian Krajewski, Sean Noonan, Don Puchalski, Kevin Wiley, James Zay, Rich Veenstra, Richard Irvin, Chuck Nelson, Kevin Wallace, Franco Coladipietro, Len Austin, Martin Tully, Steven Morley, Rodney Craig, Jeff Pruyn, John Egofske, Ken McClafferty, Kevin Coyne, Ruben Pineda, Noreen Ligino-Kubinski, Michael Gresk, Todd Scalzo, Frank Trilla, and Jim Mathieson.)
