(FROM THE ARTICLE: Minnesota Republican Party Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan has presided over a toxic workplace culture and unchecked sexual harassment in the state party, according to a growing number of former staffers and activists who have leveled allegations against her. Four former executive directors of the party released a lengthy statement on Wednesday saying Carnahan “ruled by grudges, retaliation, and intimidation” in the party, often withholding prized party data to help candidates she preferred to get a “leg up.” The statement said she retaliated against those who spoke out against her, often trying to prevent former staff from getting other jobs. “Carnahan created an extremely toxic work environment, often yelling, demeaning and questioning loyalty,” the former staffers said in a joint statement. “We would be reprimanded if we did not glowingly ‘pump up’ and stroke the ego of Carnahan in our rare public appearances.” The four former executive directors — Becky Alery, Andy Aplikowski, Christine Snell and Kevin Poindexter — said they were able to speak out after the party’s Executive Board voted Sunday to void nondisclosure agreements that they said Carnahan used to silence staff. They added their voices to a widening chorus of people calling for Carnahan to resign from party leadership, including well over a dozen state legislators, three Republican governor candidates and five members of the party’s own executive board. Carnahan has said the allegations are part of an effort by her detractors to “relitigate” the 2021 race for party chair, when she won a third term. The 15-member executive board is meeting Thursday night and will take a vote of confidence in Carnahan’s leadership. Ten votes are required to remove her as chair. Many have cited Carnahan’s close relationship with Anton “Tony” Lazzaro, a prolific GOP donor and activist who was arrested last week on federal charges of sex trafficking. Lazzaro became deeply involved in state politics through his friendship with Carnahan. Since his arrest, other allegations have flooded social media about Carnahan’s leadership of the party. Multiple women detailed in social media posts their experiences being harassed or spoken to inappropriately by staff in the party, a culture they said went unchecked. “I don’t think young women are safe in politics,” said Kayla Khang, who interned for the party when she was 17 and said male party staffers had inappropriate conversations with her and frequently made comments that made her uncomfortable. Our rulers will pressure private companies to muzzle dissidents. They could tell banks not to give us mortgages. Cut off our electricity, water, telephone. If that doesn’t work, call what we say hate speech and make it a crime. If the Supreme Court tries to save the First Amendment, pack the court. Impose a “reparations” tax. Every white person making more than a certain amount would pay an additional 10 percent of gross income. There could be an even bigger “white privilege” tax on inheritances. Whites got their wealth through oppression, so they shouldn’t be able to pass it on. Make anyone buying a gun sign a diversity pledge. Impose a stiff anti-hate tax on any marriage license granted to two white people. “Progressive stacking” will become routine. That means, in a group, white people – especially white men – speak last. And when whites speak in public, they will start by confessing their white privilege and apologize for standing on land they stole. The CDC, along with 200 local jurisdictions, says racism is a “serious public health threat.” Declare white neighborhoods a public health threat and force them to integrate. We did it with school busing; we can do it with neighborhoods. I don’t know if all these things will happen; some will, for sure. But oppression will intensify at different rates in different places, so whites will gather in the least oppressive ones. You can move to one of those places. Whites will eventually elect representatives who stand up for them. You should be a part of that. The bitter truth is, we can’t save the whole country. We built it and we made it great, but it’s not ours anymore. Our goal should be local autonomy and eventual independence, so encourage all secession movements. Liberals are vicious, but if we are determined to leave, I don’t think they will kill us just to keep our corpses in the Union. Our rulers hate our history and despise us. They should be happy to see us go. So, it’s up to us to make this happen, and up to us alone. The decision is ours. If we want a place of our own on this continent, where we can be an outpost of Europe – without apologies and for ever – we have to make it happen.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Ford, like many larger corporations, occasionally has to lay people off, change up its structure, or offer buyouts to accomplish either. As Ford Authority exclusively reported earlier this week, Ford Motor Company has initiated a buyout program for certain white-collar workers and teams dedicated to ICE-powered vehicles that includes six months of salary and healthcare benefits. However, a federal age discrimination lawsuit filed by eight employees alleges that the automaker targeted high-performing, older workers during the Ford downsizing process dubbed “Smart Redesign” back in 2019, according to the Detroit Free Press. According to internal Ford documents, under then-CEO Jim Hackett, the automaker hired Boston Consulting Group and tasked it with identifying employees that would present the most cost savings if their employment was terminated in the Ford downsizing effort. The lawsuit alleges that the consulting group used an algorithm that took into account the age of employees and their years of service. The latter bit is significant because employees hired prior to January 1st, 2004, were eligible for pension payments, which have, to date, cost Ford millions of dollars.)
