Are you non-poor? Are you Protestant? Are you German American? https://freebeacon.com/campus/american-high-schools-go-woke/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: In July, the leadership of Los Angeles’s elite Harvard-Westlake School issued a 20-page confessional about the school’s role in perpetuating “racism and injustice” and promised changes. The school, which sends dozens of kids to the Ivy League every year, will now teach 11th-grade U.S. history from a “critical race theory perspective.” And diversity consultancies, which routinely charge six figures for their services, will facilitate the school’s transformation at every step. On the East Coast, the wealthy Fairfax County public school district shelled out $20,000 for an hourlong speech from critical-race commentator Dr. Ibram X. Kendi. At one school in the district, faculty went further, disseminating “anti-racist” reading lists to parents and organizing students into “equity” committees. Dozens of schools across the country, both public and private, have taken similar steps. The perceived need to announce sweeping changes in leadership and curricula has been a boon to the growing diversity-consulting industry, which is designed to profit from racial discontent. A list of “anti-racism” resources, compiled just days after the death of George Floyd and featuring such writers as Kendi, Dr. Robin DiAngelo, and the authors of the New York Times‘s controversial 1619 project, was shared widely by colleges and high schools across the country.)

I took college courses 1966-1981 and 1992-1997. (FROM THE ARTICLE: But I was taken by his chapter on higher education. The virus, he points out, “has been especially hard on industries whose customers consume the product sitting shoulder to shoulder, like sports, airlines, restaurants, events—and…universities.” In the case of higher ed, it is hitting a sector already overripe for disruption. College tuition has increased 1,400% in the last four decades, demographics is about to deliver a body blow to demand, online higher education is finally maturing, and the best companies—as I’ve said here before—are working hard to retool their hiring systems to focus more on skills, less on college credentials. A pandemic that shuts down campuses could—and probably should—create a perfect storm.)

— As White Americans Die, Racial Inequality in the US May Get Much Worse – Benjamin Waddell (DIERSEN: How soon, under the Democrats, will Whites be required to publicly disclose a) how much money they have received so far from their parents and b) how much money they anticipate receiving from their parents? How soon, under the Democrats, will laws be passed that redistribute that money not only to minorities, but to women, to younger people, to those who have financial problems, to those who have health problems, to those who have other problems, to veterans, to non-Christians, to non-Protestants, to non-Italian Americans, to non-German Americans, to those whose ancestors have not been America for a long time, to moderates, to liberals, to Democrats, to Libertarians, to Greens, to Independents, to RINOs, to Trump-haters, to illegals, to etc.?)
https://theglobepost.com/2020/11/30/us-racial-inequality-worse/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: On January 20, 2021, Joe Biden will become the 46th president of the United States. In defeating President Donald Trump, Biden promised to heal a divided nation. In his victory speech, the president-elect said, “I sought this office to restore the soul of America. To rebuild the backbone of the nation — the middle class.” Biden’s middle-class vision for the US is possible, but without aggressive investments in education, healthcare, and well-paying jobs, America’s future may well look more like post-apartheid South Africa than the highly developed country it purports to be. How do I know? I followed the money. The United States is in the midst of a massive demographic shift. Since its inception in 1776, the country has been composed of largely white inhabitants with ancestral ties to Northern Europe. Through its first 200 years, the demographic predominance of Anglo-Americans was maintained by encouraging steady waves of European immigration alongside policies that facilitated ethnic cleansing, genocide, and the marginalization of minorities from the social, political, and economic spheres of the middle class. The Civil Rights movement legally ended the most aggressive legal barriers to social mobility for minorities. However, civil rights legislation did little to redistribute the massive wealth disparities between white Americans and everyone else. And without policy intervention, racial inequalities may be on the verge of getting much worse due to the nation’s shifting demographics. A New Dawn? The US is quickly becoming a minority-majority nation. In 1990, 76 percent of the population identified as non-Hispanic white, but by 2018, that number had dropped to 60 percent. And in urban cities, where most young people live, only 44 percent of inhabitants identify as non-Hispanic white. The nation’s demographic shift may signal a new dawn. As white Americans age and pass away, we should expect minority populations to become more involved in politics, middle-class professions, and political decision making. To be certain, the diversity of representation in US Congress — highlighted by representatives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Cori Bush — reflects the country’s shifting demographics. Still, demographic dominance does not necessarily equate to more equality. For example, in the world’s most unequal country, South Africa, white citizens account for just 9 percent of the population but control nearly 70 percent of the wealth, including 72 percent of the country’s land. In the US, the vast majority of wealth is also concentrated in the hands of white people. And in coming decades, barring policies designed to redistribute wealth, the situation stands to get much worse as aging white Americans begin leaving their estates to fewer and fewer heirs. According to the US Federal Reserve, 30 percent of white families report an inheritance or gift, compared to just 10 percent of Black families, 7 percent of Hispanic families, and 18 percent of other families. White families also receive substantially larger inheritances and are much more likely to receive financial support from other family members in the case of an emergency. Given these trends, in a country where wealth and power go hand in hand, a more diverse society may also come with a much greater concentration of financial authority in the hands of fewer and fewer white Americans. America’s Racial Wealth Gap In the US, the racial wealth divide has grown in recent decades. As of 2016, on average, white households held nearly $147,000 in wealth compared to just $6,591 for Latinos and $3,557 for African Americans. And over 33 percent of Black and Latino families have zero or negative net worth. This situation has grown even worse under the pandemic, as minorities have experienced far more job loss than white Americans. The massive wealth gap between white Americans and minorities was fueled by the mid-20th century’s redistributive politics, which predominantly benefited white families. In the 1940s, beneath the progressive policy foundation set by Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal, the US launched what would become the most prosperous period in the nation’s young history. Americans coming back from WWII went to school, bought cars and homes, and benefitted widely from government-funded programs designed to lift the working masses into the middle class. For the next 30 years, white Americans experienced growth in education, income, and wealth in a way that few groups ever have in world history. But due to systemic discrimination and racism, minorities were largely left out of this growth, and as a result, the racial wealth gap mushroomed. But today’s racial wealth gap may well pale compared to the economic fissures of the future. Today, white Americans are aging quickly. In fact, the most common non-Hispanic white American is now 58 years old, compared to just 11 for Latinos and 27 for African Americans. With far fewer children than their parents, white Americans are passing their accumulated wealth on to fewer and fewer heirs. As a result, wealth in the US is quickly becoming more and more concentrated in the hands of less and less white Americans. Dangerous Path The growth of racial inequality, coupled with a wave of conservative renewal, has set the United States on a dangerous and regressive path that threatens our nation’s democratic norms and values. Few events are as reflective of this point as the tumultuous and extremely divisive 2020 presidential election. So where do we go from here? The only way to avoid transforming into a plutocracy defined by hyper-racial inequality — à la South Africa — is to invest in the social mobility of minorities now. To do this, we must progressively raise taxes on the wealthy and immediately invest in public education, healthcare, and living wages for all Americans. The election of Joe Biden provides an opportunity to move in this direction. However, if the president-elect fails to significantly address wealth inequality over the next 4 years, democratic governance as we know it in the US may well collapse.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Consider this: Every American under 40 today — fully a majority of the country — is either a millennial (born 1977-1995) or a Gen Zer (born 1996 or after). Or this: There are more people in the millennial and Gen Z generations than in the baby boom generation, Gen X and the rest of the population combined. And all those people who say they don’t recognize the America they see outside their quarantine windows or behind masks on the streets? They are right. This is not your grandfather’s United States. It is not even your parents’ United States. For the first time in American history, more than half of those under age 16 are part of an ethnic or racial minority. And as white baby boomers age out of the workforce — it is happening every day — all the labor growth will be among racial minorities.)

https://www.forbes.com/sites/neilwinton/2020/11/15/coronavirus-shaking-up-car-buying-as-millennials-suddenly-see-big-plusses-ey-report/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Millennials are said to despise the fossil-fuel powered car, embrace public transport, worry about climate change above all else and are firmly behind environmentalists’ plans to bring forward the day when the sale of the traditional automobile is banned. But that was before the coronavirus struck. According to a survey across 9 nations undertaken by global consultancy EV, millennials (aged between 24 and 39) are reversing all these assumptions because the coronavirus has made public transport an unattractive prospect, with its requirement for facemasks and the inevitable close proximity to the unknown. The individual, sealed automobile is now a coveted object of desire for getting to work and play. So far so shocking for the conventional wisdom. The headline finding of the report was that nearly 1/3 of people without a car intend to buy one in the next six months, and 45% of those will be millennials. There will be a global boom in car buying in the next six months, not least because of pent-up demand.)

https://www.qualitymag.com/blogs/21-jim-s-gems/post/96283-self-accountability
(FROM THE ARTICLE: It has been argued that in recent years personal accountability seems to be diminishing. Let’s explore that for a bit but just what is personal accountability?. . .Except possibly in the case of a genuine and serious mental illness, each of us is responsible for our own actions, no matter what the circumstances. Personal accountability means that we choose to take responsibility for our words, actions, and behaviors, and the outcomes they produce. It does no one any good to blame a television show, a movie, the media, the so-called “system,” or society in general for individual acts of violence or immorality. Personal accountability is the cornerstone of a healthy society just as it is an essential part of a healthy individual. Accountability literally means “account-ability,” that is, owning the ability to account for our own life. To be self-accountable means to be answerable for the obligations and duties we have in our life by the very nature of being a human being. People who are self-accountable answers fundamentally to him- or herself in honoring a code of living, ethics, and integrity that goes to the depth of who we really are. To paraphrase August Wilson, the playwright, ‘we are responsible for the world we live in. It is not the government’s responsibility. It is not our schools or our fellow citizens. It is ours, utterly and singularly ours.’ At the end of the day, we alone are self-accountable.)

— Electric Vehicles Will Drive Us to Serf City – Peter Skurkiss
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/11/electric_vehicles_will_drive_us_to_serf_city.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Yes, EVs rely on fossil fuel to generate the electricity used to manufacture them and to charge their batteries. Hence they are not the ‘green’ vehicles that the enviros tout. In fact, EVs are net polluters when you consider the tremendous environmental damage that is done to mine the lithium and rare earth elements needed in their manufacture and transport. And recycling and/or disposal of Li-batteries is another problem waiting a solution. Furthermore a study from the Union of Concerned Scientists found that the assembly of a midsize EV would produce about 15 percent more emissions than the process of building a similar-sized gasoline powered vehicle. None of that matters. The big money, media, and government are solidly behind electric vehicles. As Bob Dylan sang, “You don’t need to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.” This is rather amazing considering America didn’t vote for EVs nor did the car market demand them. If the projections persist, EVs will be the norm due to manipulations by global elite and their allies in big business and government. Eric Peters, an automotive expert, has several interesting takes on the EV craze. He never believed EVs were about ‘clean’ transportation. Their goal was always controlled transport. This is why environmental concerns, although used as the pretext for EV mandates, don’t matter.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Mizelle is only eight years out of law school (University of Florida), and the ABA’s standard for a lifetime seat is 12 years of legal experience. She has had four distinguished clerkships, including one for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, but her only trial experience is as an intern before she graduated from law school. She will take her seat on the Eleventh Circuit for the Middle District of Florida having never tried a case—civil or criminal—as a lead attorney or co-counsel. “In her own words, her work history is that of a junior lawyer and is decidedly not meaningful preparation for managing a trial courtroom or the awesome power of determining the rights, liberty, or in some cases, life of litigants as a judge,” says Dan Goldberg with Alliance for Justice, a liberal advocacy group. “The people who should be the angriest are the people who will go to her courtroom.” In rating her “not qualified,” the ABA in its letter to the Senate Judiciary committee noted Mizelle’s “very keen intellect, a strong work ethic and an impressive resume. She presents as a delightful person and she has many friends who support her nomination. Her integrity and demeanor are not in question. These attributes however simply do not compensate for the short time she has actually practiced law and her lack of meaningful trial experience.” . . . Mizelle joins that exclusive club because she is a well-connected Washington lawyer with conservative cred who travels in the right circles. At Jones Day, President Trump’s favorite law firm, where she has been an associate since last year, Mizelle’s profile page highlighted her successful representation of the Chamber of Commerce in fending off a demand from the AFL-CIO for greater worker protections during the COVID crisis. She is married to Chad Mizelle, who faced similar questions about his youth and inexperience last year when his friend and ally at the White House, Stephen Miller, smoothed the way for him to become the acting general counsel at the Department of Homeland Security, leading DHS’ legal office of 2,500 attorneys just six years after graduating from law school. Apart from her skimpy experience, concerns about Kathryn Mizelle’s ideology are at the core of Democratic opposition, and they originate with her tenure at the Justice Department in 2017 and 2018 supervising litigation handled by the Civil Rights Division. It was a time when many voting rights and LGBT protections were being rolled back. “This nominee has been put forward not only because she is an ultraconservative ideologue, but also because she is a Trump loyalist, having worked in the Trump Justice Department to dismantle many critical civil rights protections,” the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights wrote to senators in September, urging them to reject her nomination.)

DAILY SIGNAL
— 5 ‘Terrifying’ Policies to Brace for Under Biden – Tony Perkins
https://www.dailysignal.com/2020/11/20/5-terrifying-policies-to-brace-for-under-biden/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The very first, Jeffrey explained on “Washington Watch” on Wednesday, is to codify Roe v. Wade—making it impossible for states to limit or ban abortion for any reason. “Joe Biden wants a federal law that makes abortion nationwide a quote-unquote ‘right.’ Which I say is evil.” And, to add to that evil, he wants to force every American to pay for it. That’s No. 2: Biden wants to end the Hyde Amendment. In other words, every federal spending bill could be used in some way to fund abortion. The pro-life Hyde Amendment, which has stood in the way of that radical free-for-all for more than 40 years, would be gone, Jeffrey said. . .No. 3: Biden would reinstate the Obamacare mandate, demanding that every business and nonprofit cover abortion-causing pills and contraception in their health plans. As Jeffrey points out, “Unfortunately, the Supreme Court never really settled that issue, [so] this is a place where Joe Biden right away could do some serious damage.” No. 4: Biden says that on Day One, “he’s going to force public schools and colleges to treat biological males as if they’re females. He literally says they’re going to have to let transgenders pick their own gender identity … So literally, Joe Biden will order public schools to say that anatomical males can play on the girls sports teams, use the girls’ shower rooms, and use the girls’ restrooms. Completely outrageous, absolutely evil.” Last but certainly not least, the Obama vice president says he would order insurance companies to cover gender-reassignment surgeries—not only for adults, but young, impressionable children. Similar to [the] Hobby Lobby case, he’d make family-owned businesses provide that “treatment,” which is actually mutilation. “These issues, particularly those last two,” Jeffrey said, “did not get nearly the kind of exposure and discussion they deserved before the election. I think there are many Americans who have no idea that Joe Biden is going to order public schools to let boys play on their girls sports teams and let boys use the girls’ locker rooms. “To me, that’s such a huge [overreach]. And it’s not just evil. It shows a distortion of [Biden’s] mind and heart. And I don’t think there’s any way he could defend it … .” Some of these things, of course, he can’t do without Congress’ help. And that’s where you and I come in—encouraging our senators and congressmen to stand firm.)

The Democrats who run the federal government use up-or-out to get rid of employees who are Republican, White, male, and/or non-veteran who they do not promote to GS-13 (currently $101,176) by age 25, GS-14 (currently $119,559) by age 30, GS-15 (currently $140,634) by age 35, and Senior Executive Service (currently $170,800) by age 40. Extremely few federal employees make the aforesaid promotion deadlines.)
https://theconversation.com/being-good-at-your-job-wont-stop-age-discrimination-149954

(FROM THE ARTICLE: How old you are could be more important to some employers than your experience, or your capacity to do the job – particularly for older candidates. That was the conclusion of research my colleagues and I recently published on age discrimination. We tested 500 managers across nine European countries, using job applications of people aged between 43 and 63, and showed more suitable job candidates did not experience less discrimination. Our findings are especially significant seeing as retirement ages are on the up. Since 2000 they have risen across Europe by an average of 2.5 years and in many countries are projected to increase even further. The COVID-19 pandemic is primarily increasing unemployment among younger workers, but acquiring a new job can be easier for them than for older people, precisely because of this inequality in hiring practices. Ageism is also known to force older workers to accept unfavorable job conditions. And we know prolonged unemployment for older people is painful both financially and for their mental health. Damaging stereotypes  One theory about age discrimination focuses on something known as “statistical discrimination”, which we looked at in our study. It is the idea that employers often lack the proper information to determine which candidate is best, and therefore they base their decisions on discriminatory stereotypes. Information refers, in this instance, to details about training, experience, motivation, performance, health, and retirement intentions, or what we called the six productivity indicators. Interviews with managers suggest employers still fear that older workers are sick more often and that they are less motivated, healthy and productive. So, given the choice between an old and a young candidate with identical CVs, an employer affected by statistical discrimination would supposedly choose the younger candidate. Without enough information to differentiate between the two, they would resort to the stereotype of the older candidate being less productive and sick more often. If this explanation for discrimination is true, then employers might discriminate less on age if they had more information. Positive information would be especially relevant, because this goes against stereotypes. Negative information only confirms what the stereotypes already suggested.)

I share the following: old, White, male, non-poor, gun owner, draft avoider, Christian, past/present federal employee, and our ancestors have been in America for a long time. In addition, Biden and I are Corvette owners. But my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes promote discrimination against those who have demographics like Trump, Biden, and I do. But look at all the votes that Trump and Biden got. My critics/opponents want the Illinois Republican Party (IRP), DuPage County Republican Central Committee (DCRCC), and Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) to promote ONLY those who are one or more of the following: young, minority, female, poor, non-gun owner, veteran, non-Christian, and/or if their ancestors have not been in America for a long time. Further, my critics/opponents want the IRP, DCRCC, and MTRO to promote only those who reject the traditional family, right to life, immigration, illegal drugs, Second Amendment, and/or equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks in the IRP and/or Republican Party platforms.)

HINSDALE PATCH

https://patch.com/illinois/hinsdale/feds-sue-hinsdale-over-fair-housing
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Hinsdale is facing a powerful adversary in its effort to close a house that helps men with addictions — the U.S. Justice Department. On Tuesday, the federal government sued Hinsdale, one of Chicago’s wealthiest suburbs, and alleged the village violated the Fair Housing Act in its handling of the sober living house. Reached by phone, Village President Tom Cauley, who is mentioned frequently in the lawsuit, declined to comment, but would not say why. In July 2019, the Trinity Sober Living House opened at 111 N. Grant St. Neighbors started complaining before it opened. Last August, the village called for the house’s closure. Officials said the sober living house was a commercial operation in a residential neighborhood. The village also argued that with 10 people, the house violated the village’s rule for single-family zones — no more than three unrelated people in a house. After finding out earlier this month that a federal lawsuit would be filed, village officials dropped the argument about the house being a commercial operation, the lawsuit said. But it stuck to its ban on more than three unrelated people in a house. According to the lawsuit, on July 13, 2019, a Hinsdale resident emailed Cauley about the plan for the sober living house. The resident said neighbors were “very worried” about “having people with these issues living as a group in our neighborhood. Any restrictions on this within proximity to Monroe Elementary?” Neighbors also approached Michael Owens, the house’s founder. One accused Owens of bringing “alcoholics, drug addicts and pedophiles into our neighborhood.” Amid the uproar, Cauley wrote Owens on July 18, saying it had come to his attention that Trinity bought the property and intended to use it for 10 unrelated people. Cauley, an attorney, called it a “prohibited use,” but did not refer Owens to the “reasonable accommodation” process under the Fair Housing Act, the lawsuit said. Owens asked to meet with Cauley, but got no response. Instead, he had a July 30, 2019, meeting with the village’s attorney, Lance Malina, and two other top village officials. He gave them a tour of the house and told them the house would not admit sex offenders. At the close of the meeting, Malina told Owens about the reasonable accommodation process, which is intended for groups with disabilities, including those with addictions. In a later email, Owens asked whether he could have up to three residents in the meantime. Malina said he could not because the house was being marketed commercially. Days later, the village held a meeting of Hinsdale residents to share what officials were doing about the sober living house. Trinity was not invited, according to the lawsuit. Shortly after, Cauley sent a letter addressed “Dear Residents,” stating the village saw the sober living house as a prohibited use. The letter was not sent to Trinity, which learned about it more than a month later, according to the lawsuit. On Aug. 7, Trinity’s attorney, Steve Polin, sent a letter seeking a reasonable accommodation for the house under the Fair Housing Act. Contrary to the village’s practice, the administration did not forward the reasonable accommodation request to the Village Board, the lawsuit said. Instead, the next day, the village sued Trinity in DuPage County Court. As part of that litigation, a judge in June eliminated the limit on people in the house, citing the federal investigation, which Patch had written about. According to the lawsuit, Hinsdale’s argument that Trinity was a commercial operation and thus prohibited would essentially ban all group homes for people with disabilities. “This is because, for most group homes, the residents pay rent, the agency operating the group home receives compensation for the care and services being provided, most residents must attend employment or day services programs during the day, and residents are monitored by the provider agency.” Even under the village’s new position, the lawsuit said, only the smallest group homes would be allowed. During the county court proceedings, the village did not inform the judge that it received or intended to consider a reasonable accommodation request, according to the federal lawsuit. In a September 2019 interview, Village President Tom Cauley told the Hinsdalean that the village’s effort involved no fair housing violations. Trinity is in a zone where no more than three unrelated people can live in a house. Cauley told the Hinsdalean that “if we had 10 nuns living there, we would have a problem under the zoning code.” The village’s attorney, Malina, did not return a call for comment.)

https://thetechportal.com/2020/11/25/twitter-to-start-providing-verification-badges-to-authentic-accounts-from-early-2021-asks-for-public-feedback-on-policy/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Twitter has announced that it will start its account reverification process once again in 2021, providing ‘blue checks’ to users. In 2017, Twitter had ceased providing verification badges to its account holders, even if they were genuinely noteworthy and a public figure. The decision was taken surrounding an incident in which the social media giant had verified an account belonging to Jason Keller, a white supremacist who organized a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. As a result of this the company had to face a wave of criticism. It defended itself by making its policies more public, saying that the company provided blue verification badges to anyone of “public interest”. However, critics still mauled this move, saying that while genuine figures of public interest were on wait to get their accounts verified, verifying the account of a white supremacist was not something that should be of public interest. Therefore, in November 2017, Twitter ceased its action of verifying accounts on its platform. A year later, the social media platform informed that it was putting its work on the verification of accounts on indefinite hold. This time it said that this decision is being taken so that the company could direct its resources and focus on the integrity of the upcoming 2020 US elections.)

BUZZFEED NEWS
— 1 In 3 Americans Didn’t Vote. Should We Force Them To Next Time? Advocates for compulsory voting in the US are looking for a state to be an electoral guinea pig. They said forcing everyone to vote would fix a lot of problems. – Julia Reinstein (DIERSEN: How informed are the following about government and political news and commentary: your Republican Precinct Committeeman/Captain, the leaders of your Republican township/ward party organization, the leaders of your Republican county party organization, your representative on the Illinois Republican Party State Central Committee, the IRP officers, and Republican candidates on ballots in your precinct?)
https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/juliareinstein/us-compulsory-voting-mandatory
(FROM THE ARTICLE: But it could also help people become more informed voters, said Rapoport, the former Connecticut secretary of state. “If you’re a principal of a high school or a superintendent, and every 18-year-old was required to vote, would that make you more likely to do civic education as part of the curriculum? I think it would,” said Rapoport. “If you’re an employer, and every one of your employees was required to vote, would that make you likely to give them time off to participate? I think it would.” This hints at one of the most common objections to compulsory voting: the rather crass assumption that nonvoters are uneducated and ill-informed on politics, and therefore are better off not voting. Nelson of the NAACP LDF unequivocally rejected that argument, calling it “fully disingenuous.” “If people were truly concerned about people voting who aren’t educated, their focus should be on education and not the right to vote,” said Nelson.)

https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2020/04/01/americans-main-sources-for-political-news-vary-by-party-and-age/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Americans turn to a wide range of media outlets for political and election news, but two stand out as especially common sources. In a late 2019 survey conducted as part of Pew Research Center’s Election News Pathways project, Fox News and CNN were named by the largest segments of U.S. adults as their main political news source – 16% and 12%, respectively. Six other news outlets – NPR, NBC News, ABC News, MSNBC, CBS News and The New York Times – were named by at least 2% of adults. The sources named by the remaining 51% of U.S. adults resulted in a long tail of more than 50 other individual brands. . .In addition to asking respondents whether they got political and election news in the past week from each of 30 different sources (selected to represent a range of news media across different platforms), respondents were asked in an open-ended question to write in the one main source they rely on most for this news. Researchers grouped responses together by brand: For example, “NY Times,” “NYT” and “nytimes.com” were all counted as indicating The New York Times. In all, about half (49%) of U.S. adults named one of these eight outlets as their main source for political and election news. The long list of all other individual outlets, named by fewer than 2% of respondents, included larger sources like The Washington Post, the BBC and Rush Limbaugh, as well as more niche sources such as One America News, The Young Turks and individual local newspapers. Some of the remaining respondents named social media sites (4% in total) or a medium without any specific outlet specified (“radio,” “the internet”). Finally, 13% of respondents declined to provide a recognizable news outlet, left the field blank or said they didn’t remember the name of their main news source. You can see a longer list of sources that were mentioned here. Partisanship in Americans’ main sources for political news Partisan alignment emerges in several of the most commonly named main sources for political and election news. Four of the eight sources named by at least 2% of U.S. adults are much more likely to be named by Democrats and independents who lean Democratic than by Republicans and GOP leaners: MSNBC, The New York Times, NPR and CNN. Fox News is the one outlet among these eight that is far more likely to be named by Republicans than by Democrats. Those who name Fox News and MSNBC display roughly the same high levels of partisanship. About nine-in-ten of those whose main source is Fox News (93%) identify as Republican, very close to the 95% of those who name MSNBC and identify as Democrats. Similarly, about nine-in-ten of those who name The New York Times (91%) and NPR (87%) as their main political news source identify as Democrats, with CNN at about eight-in-ten (79%). The three major broadcast news networks – ABC, CBS and NBC – have more of a mix of Democrats and Republicans among those who name these outlets as their main sources for political news. For example, the makeup of those who name NBC News as their main source is 57% Democratic versus 38% Republican.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Such treachery is precisely why Chapter 7 of my book “Rules for Defeating Radicals” (Available at Amazon) is characterized as the single most important chapter of the entire work. Its title “RINOs: The Essential Alinsky Fifth Column,” unmasks those so-called Republicans who claim to be “on the right” when convenient, but who always undercut real conservatism at critical junctures. They are often the determining factor in leftist successes against America. Until our side fully grasps who they are, and why they need to be rooted out and sent packing, we can always count on them to do the dirtiest of leftist “dirty work” at the bidding of the Democrats. With the 2020 election theft hardly a “done deal,” and those Americans, including the Trump Team, who seek to uphold the law and Constitution fighting for their lives and the very future of the nation, such a proclamation from the likes of Christie is the ultimate effort to deliver us a fatal stab in the back. It comes on the heels of other similar duplicity from the predictable cadre of RINOs, including the McCain clan, former Arizona Senator Jeff Flake, and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan. The propensity of self-serving and unscrupulous political gamers to swarm like moths towards the seeming brightest lights of power is nothing new. Still, their disloyalty needs to be underscored, and they need to be indelibly tagged as forever untrustworthy. Their willingness to suddenly and loudly proclaim themselves to be the “Second Coming of Ronald Reagan” come the next election cycle is no sign of a “change of heart.” Rather, it further proves their total contempt for the conservative voting base whom they are seeking to con, in preparation for future betrayals. From their perspective, the wholesale theft of the 2020 Presidential Election is really no big deal, and only reflects the ongoing ebb and flow of American politics.)

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/11/24/education-divide-deepens-democrats-worry-future-power/6325025002/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Joe Biden described the presidential race as “Scranton versus Park Avenue.” He slammed tax cuts for billionaires. He touted that he would be a state school graduate, not another Ivy Leaguer, in the Oval Office. Months before Election Day, the Biden campaign adopted an economic populist message aimed directly at white working-class voters, convinced they could peel off a small portion of President Donald Trump’s base. Yet despite Biden’s election victory, this demographic – white voters without college degrees – remained just as loyal as ever to the president, defying public polling before the election that suggested Democrats were poised for small inroads. For Biden, wins in battleground states came thanks to growing support in affluent suburbs around cities like Atlanta, Philadelphia and Detroit where the president-elect expanded margins with a new Democratic stronghold: white voters who graduated college. The 2020 election widened the education polarization – a largely urban-rural divide that has come to define American politics, producing a mixed bag for Democrats. “The biggest thing that came out of this election was that education polarization – the gap between college-educated voters and (non-college-educated voters) – actually increased, rather than decreased like the polls predicted it would,” said David Shor, a Democratic polling and data expert who advised liberal political action committees this cycle. “(Democrats) basically treaded water in the least-educated areas and gained a lot in the educated areas.” Even as Biden beat Trump in the popular vote by more than 6 million votes, Democrats aren’t expected to gain control of the Senate, lost several House seats and failed to flip a single state legislature. Their rejection among white working-class voters, particularly in rural areas and small towns, helped lead to the disappointments. Once viewed as the party of working people, Democrats now rely on the Whole Foods shopper. At the same time, Democrats saw support slip among Black voters, their most loyal constituency, and Latino voters. Although Biden won Black voters overwhelmingly 87%-12%, Trump grew his support by 4 percentage points from 2016, according to exit polls. The shift was more significant among Hispanic voters. While Biden still won Latino voters overall, Trump performed 7 percentage points better than four years ago. He improved his margins in 78 out of 100 majority-Latino counties, according to an analysis from POLITICO. For years, Democrats expressed confidence that the country’s increasingly diverse, less-white electorate would give them an edge long-term over Republicans. Now, some in the party have concerns: That relying so heavily on urbanites and suburbanites puts them at a disadvantage electorally to capture the Senate, hold on to the House and retain the presidency. . .The fact Biden still struggled with non-college-educated white voters, according to Grossman, reflects the overall shift toward politics based on social and cultural divisions rather than economic. The same trend is found in European nations like the United Kingdom. With his cultural – not economic – brand of populism, Trump fanned fears about racial equity protests that erupted in cities. He pushed for “law and order” during the campaign, slammed the Black Lives Matter movement, and accused Democrats of being soft on violence and anti-police. He warned Biden would turn the U.S. into a “socialist” country and accused the Democrat of wanting to take away Americans’ guns. Trump even said, “There will be no God” if Biden were elected. “Voters are more associated with the party that they share social and cultural views with rather than necessarily economic policy opinions,” Grossman said.)

— 6 questions to ask to find out if you’re an ethical leader The director of Ethical Imperatives contends that ethical leaders possess six traits that command, not demand, loyalty. – YONASON GOLDSON (DIERSEN: My critics/opponents demand blind loyalty to them and to them only.)
https://www.fastcompany.com/90568314/6-questions-to-ask-to-find-out-if-youre-an-ethical-leader

(FROM THE ARTICLE: In the workplace, bosses and managers may hold absolute power. But how they wield that power will determine the loyalty and, by natural consequence, the productivity of their employees. If you want to be respected as a king and not reviled as a despot, you need to command, not demand, loyalty. And the way your employees see you will depend on whether you conduct yourself according to the principles of ethics. In these complicated times, acting ethically is not as simple as it once was. Social norms change seemingly every day. Often, even the right choice produces collateral damage to real or perceived inequity. What is a leader to do? Loyalty is not acquired by merely making ethical decisions. More fundamentally, it comes from being recognized as an ethical person. The qualities that describe an ethical leader can be enumerated using a convenient acronym: E.T.H.I.C.S. An ethical leader asks the following questions to determine if they exhibit these qualities. . .As an ethical leader, you see your choices through a different lens and recognize that the culture you create will determine your bottom line. Most of all, you naturally command the loyalty that inspires others to join you in your purpose, to share your passion, and to commit themselves to your vision. By promoting a culture of success all around you, the rewards of that success will inevitably follow.)

FOX NEWS
— Squad member Rashida Tlaib, accused of being anti-Semitic, to speak on panel about anti-Semitism Tlaib was criticized after describing the ‘calm feeling’ she experienced when thinking about the Holocaust – Sam Dorman (DIERSEN: Democrats always paint Republicans as being anti-Semitic. The more of the following that you are, the more that Democrats paint you as being anti-Semitic: Republican, conservative, German national origin, Lutheran, if your ancestors have been in America for a long time, patriotic, White, male, older, non-poor, draft avoider, and/or gun owner. My Democrat superiors in the federal government stressed the aforesaid about me to my Jewish superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates. Further, they stressed that I lived in Crete 1948-1972 and that I have lived in Wheaton since 1978. In my defense, I stressed that my grandfather on my father’s side fought the Germans in WWI, that my uncles on my mother’s side fought the Germans in WWII, and that my father would have fought the Germans in WWII if he had not been 4-F.)
