Two members of IFI and its sister organization Illinois Family Action are black. “It is both morally indefensible and intellectually dishonest of the ethically impoverished Southern Poverty Law Center to include the Illinois Family Institute on its list of ‘hate’ groups alongside repugnant Neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups,” she said. “IFI is included on this list because we espouse theologically orthodox views of homosexuality, marriage, and the intrinsic and profound meaning of objective, immutable biological sex.” IFI holds the same views on LGBT issues as the Roman Catholic Church, Presbyterian Church in America, Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, Evangelical Free Church, Evangelical Covenant Church, Eastern Orthodox Church, Christian Reformed Church, Southern Baptist Church, Anglican Church in North America,  Assemblies of God, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon church), Seventh Day Adventist Church, scores of non-denominational churches, the Bible and over 2,000 years of church history, she said. “Curiously, the SPLC hasn’t included them on its ‘hate’ groups list—yet,” Higgins said.)

https://www.forbes.com/sites/cartoonoftheday/2017/08/14/the-no-1-reason-employers-want-older-workers/#342384cf4fcb
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Skills retention. It’s something that many companies are now looking at with renewed vigor. Retirement can deprive businesses of critical experience and practical knowledge, which is lost when older workers head for the door and a younger, less “seasoned” generation moves in to take their place. This leaves CEOs and young entrepreneurs in a bind as they search for workers with understanding, expertise and wisdom. To counter this, many businesses are now actively courting older workers with incentives to either stay or come back. Sorry, Mark Zuckerberg. The Facebook CEO once famously said, “Young people are just smarter.” And the numbers are remarkable. One study found that productivity did not peak until age 50, 60% higher than that of the average 20-year-old. So older workers are coming back, and another reason for increases in their employment was the financial crisis of 2008 . As 401ks dried up and savings dwindled, many older workers were forced back into the workforce out of sheer necessity. Now companies are seeing the benefits of coveting their maturity, talents and know-how.)

My $50,856/year pension is only 41% of the $122,991 that I earned in 1997 in today’s dollars. I have at least $72,135 less each year or $6,011 less each month or $1,387 less each week or $198 less each day to spend on vacations because my Democrat GAO superiors succeeded in forcing me to take their early retirement “offer” in 1997 when I was 49 years old. I went on vacations in 1969, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, and 1977.  My wife and I went on many vacations, typically four each year, 1978-1992 in connection with her business trips to luxury resorts all across America. Of course, my Democrat IRS and GAO superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates were beyond furious about that.)

— WHY THE PRIVATE SECTOR DOES A BETTER JOB THAN THE GOVERNMENT – Kent Kellar  (DIERSEN: At least since the 1960s, the federal government’s top priority has been to hire, to retain, and to promote Democrats, and especially Democrats who are minority, female, and/or younger. GAO hired me in 1980 because it could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, younger person, or veteran who would take the job. IRS hired me in 1971 because it could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, or veteran who would take the job. The Post Office hired me in 1966 because it could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, or veteran who would take the job. Because I have always been a Republican, were it not for federal civil service protections, a) the Post Office would NOT have hired me in 1966 or let me work there for almost 3 years, b) IRS would NOT have hired me in 1971 or let me work there for almost 9 years, c) IRS would NOT have promoted me in 1972, 1973, or 1974, d) GAO would NOT have hired me in 1980 or let me work there for almost 18 years, and e) GAO would NOT have promoted me in 1986.)

I commuted to classes at UIC from my parents’ home in Crete 1966-1968. I came home weekends during my first semester at NIU in 1969 to work at the Park Forest Post Office. I worked full-time at the Park Forest Post Office during the summer of 1969 like I had done the summers of 1967 and 1968.  My Democrat Post Office superiors succeeded in forcing me to resign at end of the summer of 1969. WALL STREET JOURNAL
— HARDCOPY ARTICLE TITLE: Excess At the Top  The CEO Pay Machine – Philip Delves Broughton  (DIERSEN: Trump’s lousy $400,000 salary is only 3.25 times what my $122,991 GS-13 Step 10 pay is in today’s dollars.)
https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-better-way-to-reward-ceos-1501542185
(FROM THE ARTICLE: In 1978 the average chief executive at a large company was paid 26 times more than the average worker. By 2014, depending on your method of calculation, he was paid 300 to 700 times more. It has become standard for a CEO to make more than $10 million a year, and a few make more than $100 million. These aren’t founders or major shareholders but hired guns, managers playing with house money. It is not like this everywhere. In the U.K., the fifth largest economy in the world, the pay ratio of CEO to average worker is 84 to 1. In Japan, the third largest, it’s 16 to 1.)

MONEY MAGAZINE
— Millennials want their dream home now – not in 20 years – Angus Raine  (DIERSEN: Where are you on the “property ladder?” My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always been are filled with envy.  They are furious a) that I bought a new town home in University Park when I was 24 in 1972, that I bought a studio condo in downtown Chicago when I was 25, and that I bought a one bedroom condo in downtown Chicago when I was 27 and b) that my wife and I bought 1017 East Harrison in Wheaton when I was 29 and that we had 915 Cove Court built in Wheaton when I was 35.)
http://moneymag.com.au/millennials-dream-home/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: When I bought my first home in the late 1980s, I didn’t care that it was ramshackle, I just wanted to get my foot on the property ladder. Now you hardly ever hear the term ‘property ladder’, and millennials want their dream family home now – not in 20 years. But that’s how long it took me to progress through a series of houses until I bought my current family home. I’m calling for a cultural shift: we need to return to viewing property ownership as a long-term, gradual strategy. So, if you’re a first-home buyer, just how do you climb the property ladder? First, you might need to rethink your expectations of a first home. Buying in the best location you can afford is more important than getting the perfect home immediately. And while many people think that the next logical step is to buy a bigger house, you are better off moving to progressively better locations. That will build value faster than graduating to bigger homes in the same suburb and will take you to the next rung on your journey up the property ladder.)

— Sessions not leaving unless pushed – AP (DIERSEN: QUESTION: What did I “gain” by taking my Democrat GAO superiors’ early retirement “offer” on September 30, 1997 when I was 49 years old?  ANSWER: No longer having to come to work and enduring their tremendous efforts to get rid of me. QUESTION: What did I lose?  First, the difference between my salary ($122,991/year in today’s dollars) an my Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) pension (currently $50,856/year) or $72,135/year in today’s dollars until I would taken regular retirement and then the difference between what my CSRS pension would have been (much more than $50,856/year) and $50,856/year for the rest of my life.  So far, during the last 238 months, I have lost $1,430,856 in today’s dollars, that is, what my salary would have been ($2,439,500) minus the CSRS pension payments that I have received ($1,008,644). But the lost money is nothing compared to the ammunition that my Democrat GAO superiors gave my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes.  They use my being forced to take early retirement to hint/imply/argue/shout that I must be a racist, a sexist, a bigot, or even far worse things.)

Previously, my Democrat GAO superiors had sanctioned me by forcing me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, always ranking me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, not promoting me beyond GS-13, keeping me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forcing me to take an $18,847 pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980.  My Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, and disallowed my partial day per diem claims in 1974.  My Democrat Post Office superiors forced me resign in 1969 and disallowed my sick leave requests in 1969 and 1968. — Pritzker campaign attacks new House GOP floor leader as “radical”  (DIERSEN: Political parties exist to help elect candidates who can and will defend and advance their platform.  Outstandingly, Breen focuses on defending and advancing the Illinois Republican Party platform.)
https://capitolfax.com/2017/07/28/pritzker-campaign-attacks-new-house-gop-floor-leader-as-radical/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The Pritzker campaign is not happy…Rep. Peter Breen is reportedly taking over as House Republican floor leader, a move that solidifies Illinois Republicans’ dramatic shift to the right under failed Governor Bruce Rauner. Breen will replace moderate Rep. Steven Andersson who was exiled following his leadership in overriding Bruce Rauner’s reckless budget veto. The new floor leader will have the opportunity to make his radical social conservative views priorities for House Republicans. Here are just a few of the extreme right-wing stances that Breen has taken recently: Defended a new Rauner hire that compared abortion to Nazi eugenics. Fought against a bill strengthening the Illinois’ Equal Pay Act, calling it “the stupidest bill we’ve considered.” Lied about the potential risk Illinois women face in maintaining access to reproductive healthcare. Opposed marriage equality. “Peter Breen’s ascension to House leadership is another sign of the radical right-wing takeover led by Rauner and his team of ’superstars’ who are desperate for a political win,” said Pritzker campaign spokeswoman Jordan Abudayyeh. “The damage he’s done to Illinois so far is unconscionable. Bruce Rauner continues to line his administration with ideologues eager to help him hold children and families hostage to his political agenda—a move that means more damage is coming.”)

Of course, I was always very high on those lists because I am Republican, White, male, old (born in 1948), and non-veteran.  Further, I did not make GS-13 (currently $94,610) by age 25, GS-14 (currently $111,801) by age 30, GS-15 (currently $131,508) by age 35, or Senior Executive Service (currently $161,900) by age 40. Further, I complained about patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation.  Further, in 1988, when I was 40 years old, I became an active member in a class action lawsuit that charged GAO with reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation.)

Much of the work that I did for IRS was similar to the work that I did for GAO including investigating, interviewing, gathering data, summarizing data, analyzing data, developing recommendations, and report writing. But the Democrats who ran GAO dismissed/belittled the skills that I developed working for IRS for almost 9 years, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 levels, currently $79,563-$90,173.  To transfer, they forced me to take a downgrade from GS-12 Step 5 down to GS-9 Step 10, an $18,847 pay cut in today’s dollars. — What Illinois stands to gain from losing huge Foxconn factory- GREG HINZ  (DIERSEN: QUESTION: What did I “gain” by taking my Democrat GAO superiors’ early retirement “offer” on September 30, 1997 when I was 49 years old?

DAILY CALLER
— IRS Continues To Hire Employees With Performance Problems – Chuck Ross  (DIERSEN: My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always promoted patronage. Because I have always been a Republican, were it not for federal civil service protections, IRS would NOT have a) hired me in 1971, b) promoted me in 1972, 1973, or 1974, or c) let me work there for almost 9 years. To get rid of me, my Democrat IRS superiors a) got rid of the IRS manager who had promoted me in 1972, 1973, and 1974, b) disallowed my partial day per diem claims in 1974 (SEE:
http://www.gao.gov/products/463866), c) did not promote me beyond GS-12, and d) disallowed my education deductions in 1978. My Democrat IRS superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates dismissed/belittled the fact that a) I earned an MBA from Loyola in 1976, b) I passed the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, and c) I earned a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul in 1980.)

FED WEEK
— Preparing for a Mixed Generation Household  (DIERSEN: If I sought a government office or a political office, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes would shout that after I graduated from NIU in August of 1970 when I was 21, I lived with my mother and brother who is 5 years younger than me in Crete until September of 1972. But that was a) because my father had died suddenly at age 47 in October of 1969, b) because my mother had never attended high school and she had never earned income, c) because I had applied for a financial hardship draft deferment to help support them, and d) because the job that I had gotten working for the Firestone Store in Chicago Heights did not pay that much. In June of 1971, I started working for IRS at the GS-7 level (currently $44,853/year), and in June of 1972, IRS promoted me to GS-9 (currently $54,864/year).)

The job of first pet – an enviable White House gig with luxurious live-in privileges, after-hours access to the president and guaranteed positive press coverage – is not currently available. That’s because President Donald Trump is not looking for a fluffy sidekick at the moment. Asked about plans for a four-legged addition to the White House, Stephanie Grisham, a spokeswoman for Melania Trump, said in a statement: “The first family is still getting settled so there are no plans at this time.” If Trump stays pet-free, he will be breaking with a long held tradition of presidential pet ownership.)

— Trump marginalizes experts, debases expertise – James Hohmann  (DIERSEN: Government is nasty.  Politics is nasty.  My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always debased the experience that I gained a) working for GAO for almost 18 years, the last 11 years of which at the GS-13 Step 1-10 levels, currently $94,610-$122,991; b) working for IRS for almost 9 years, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 levels, currently $79,563-$90,173; c) earning a bachelor’s degree in management from NIU in 1970 when I was 21 years old, an MBA from Loyola in 1976, a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul in 1980, and a master’s degree in financial markets and trading from IIT in 1997; and c) passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979 and passing the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt in 1981.  They debase the fact that I became a licensed CPA in 1981, a Certified Fraud Examiner in 1990, a Certified Government Financial Manager in 1994, a Certified Financial Services Auditor in 1996, and a Forensic Accountant in 1997.)

During the almost 30 years that I worked for the federal government, my salary increased every year because of COLAs, step increases, and/or promotions, except 1980 when I took an $18,847 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO.  In today’s dollars, I earned $15.56/hour (GS-4 Step 1) when I started working for the Post Office in 1966 when I was 18; $44,853/year (GS-7 Step 1) when I started working for IRS in 1971; $90,173/year (GS-12 Step 5) when I left IRS in 1980; $71,326/year (GS-9 Step 10) when I started working for GAO in 1980; and $122,991/year (GS-13 Step 10) when my Democrat GAO superiors succeeded in forcing me to take their early retirement “offer” in 1997. My critics/opponents have always accused me of being overpaid. In my defense, I earned a) a job-related bachelor’s degree when I was 21 and job-related master’s degrees when I was 27, 31, and 48, b) job-related professional certifications when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 47, and 48, and c) a job-related professional license when I was 32.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Under state election law, a new member of the Republican party must be appointed to the DuPage County Board within 60 days of Curran’s resignation, which he plans to officially submit Monday, he said. Residents of District 3, which includes parts of Downers Grove, Westmont, Burr Ridge, Hinsdale, Woodridge, Clarendon Hills, Darien and Willowbrook, can apply to at Dupageco.org/countyboard/dist3map. The newly appointed board member will serve the remainder of Curran’s term, which expires Nov. 30, 2018. County Board Chairman Dan Cronin said in a news release Saturday that he will fill Curran’s vacancy until an appointment is made. “While we will truly miss his work and his dedication to DuPage County, we are happy to see him moving on to bigger challenges,” Cronin said. “I’m confident Springfield is gaining an asset who will fight to protect residents of Illinois.” Anyone seeking appointment to the county board should email Cronin at Dan.Cronin@dupageco.org with a resume and letter, not exceeding 300 words, outlining their interest.)

— DREAM Act divisive, elitist – RUBEN NAVARRETTE JR. (DIERSEN: From what I see, to curry favor with Democrats, employers want to gloat that they hire illegals, and that to make way for them, they do not hire citizens of America and that they get rid of citizens of America.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: What bothered her was the insistence on going to college. What about those kids who go to vocational school or go straight to work? They didn’t deserve legal status? Someone in Washington was playing God again, deciding who stayed and who went according to a narrow definition of positive behavior. Why stop at attending college? Why not demand that beneficiaries of the DREAM Act not accept any public assistance, or abstain from smoking, or never fall into debt or not be unemployed for more than six months at any point in their lives? The new bill from Graham and Durbin is a slight improvement because it covers those who “work lawfully for at least three years.” But it also has a new requirement that recipients speak English and know U.S. history. Great idea. But shouldn’t we start by demanding those things from native-born U.S. citizens? These moral judgments are all subjective and awfully condescending. They’re all about what Graham, Durbin, and the other senators who will eventually support their bill require to make them feel comfortable with overlooking the fact that these young people are in the country illegally. Welcome to this week’s episode of the game show: “Good Immigrant, Bad Immigrant.” If Graham and Durbin want to make themselves useful in the immigration debate, they should stop treating immigrants like they’re some kind of social science experiment. Instead, they should draft a bill that would eventually legalize most of the 11 million people who are in the country illegally — whether or not they went to college or speak English. It’s no wonder that so many DREAMers experience a version of “survivor’s guilt” because they were tossed a life preserver while their parents and siblings are left to drown. All this talk about how the Trump administration is dividing families. You know what really divides families? The DREAM Act.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: The last press release I received from the Illinois Republican Party on state issues was July 7th, the Friday before the Monday Rauner purge began… On Monday, the Chicago Machine tipped its hand on SB1. After months claiming that SB1 was about fixing the school funding formula, Chicago Public Schools started making the unsubstantiated argument that an amendatory veto of the bill to remove the Chicago bailout would change the “fundamental purpose” of the legislation. It’s a clear admission by the Chicago Machine that the “fundamental purpose” of SB1 is a Chicago pension bailout, and not school funding reform. It’s time Madigan Democrats in the General Assembly either send SB1 to Governor Rauner for an amendatory veto to remove the Chicago bailout, or pass true bipartisan school funding reform that excludes a multi-hundred million dollar bailout of Chicago at the expense of schools across the state. Otherwise, this is just another case of Mike Madigan and his machine holding Illinois hostage for his Chicago agenda.)

WALL STREET JOURNAL
— HARDCOPY ARTICLE TITLE: Balancing Religion and the Office. – Francesca Fontana  (DIERSEN: What religion are you?  I was baptized, raised, and confirmed as a Missouri Synod Lutheran (MSL).  While I worked for the federal government for almost 30 years in 3 different agencies, I do not recall any of my superiors, supervisors, coworkers, or subordinates being MSLs.  Most, if virtually all of my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes disapprove of MSLs, if not despise MSLs, if not hate MSLs.  They hint/imply/argue/shout that MSLs are “too conservative.”)

FED SMITH
— House Budget Committee Targets Federal Employee Pensions – Ian Smith  (DIERSEN: I was a federal employee for almost 30 years (1966-1969 and 1971-1997) and I have been a retired federal employee for almost 20 years. Ever-increasingly, those who have financial, health, and/or other problems and those who paint themselves as being advocates for the aforesaid promote hatred of federal employees and hatred of retired federal employees. If someone promoted hatred of you, what would you do about it?  My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always accused me of being overpaid. In my defense, I earned a) a job-related bachelor’s degree when I was 21 in 1970 and job-related master’s degrees when I was 27, 31, and 48, b) job-related professional certifications when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 47, and 48, and c) a job-related professional license when I was 32. Many millions have not and will not seek a job with the federal government a) because the pay and benefits are terrible, b) because the advancement opportunities are terrible, c) because they lack required education, work experience, professional certifications, and/or professional licenses, d) because they cannot pass an employment examination, e) because they cannot pass a background investigation, f) because they cannot pass a physical examination, g) because they cannot take the demonization, denigration, and condemnation that comes with being a federal employee or federal retiree, and/or h) because they are Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran and they know that the federal government discriminates against the aforesaid.)
