I was promoted in 1986 when I was 38 years old, in 1974, in 1973, and in 1972. What negative work experiences have you had? My Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire in 1997, gave me unfair performance expectations and appraisals, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, did not promote me beyond GS-13, got rid of my mentor in 1987, kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forced me to take a $19,568 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980. My Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, got rid of my mentor in 1975, and disallowed my partial day per diem claims in 1974. My Democrat Post Office superiors forced me resign in 1969 and disallowed my sick leave requests in 1969 and 1968.)

I earned a) a job-related bachelor’s degree (NIU-management) when I was 21 in 1970 and job-related master’s degrees when I was 27 (Loyola-business) and 31 (DePaul-accounting, b) job-related professional certifications when I was 30 (accounting) and 32 (internal auditing), and c) a job-related professional license when I was 32 (accounting). GAO
— GAO’s Professional Development Program – Watchdogs in Training (DIERSEN: Were you an intern? GAO audits IRS. When I transferred from IRS to GAO in 1980 when I was 31 years old, my Democrat GAO superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinated did not want me to transfer, but failing that, they wanted me to transfer as a GS-4 Step 1 (currently $33,591/year) intern, that is, to suffer a $60,001/year (64%) pay cut in today’s dollars. They painted what GAO Analysts do as being a unique “trade or occupation.” They would not have done that if I had been a Democrat, minority, female, or veteran. They viciously demonized, denigrated, and condemned the fact a) that I had worked for IRS for almost 9 years, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 levels, currently $82,579-$93,592/year, b) that much of what IRS Revenue Officers do is similar to what GAO Analysts do, c) that I had passed the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, d) that I had earned an MBA from Loyola in 1976, and e) that I had almost completed the requirements for a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul. They were furious that I transferred with me almost 12 years of federal seniority, 30 days of unused vacation days, and 130 unused sick days.)

CAPITOL FAX
— Sanguinetti bows out of congressional race From Evelyn Sanguinetti via a campaign spokesperson… It is with deep regret that I must announce that I have officially decided to end my campaign for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Congress for the 6th Congressional District of Illinois. I want to thank everyone that supported me through volunteering, financial contributions, and words of encouragement and support. I am sorry if this announcement lets you down. Although I firmly believe that I can and will win the nomination if I stayed in the race, the question in my mind is at what cost. There has been enough destruction in the Republican Party from past election cycles, and I choose not to contribute further to it by engaging in a costly and negative campaign against my opponents. I wish the remaining candidates all the best, and I encourage all Republicans to unite behind the eventual nominee for the good of the Party and more importantly the Nation as we continue the fight to stop socialism and to protect the American Dream for future generations.

My Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, got rid of my mentor in 1975, and disallowed my partial day per diem claims in 1974. GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— Where pot is sold, it brings down everything and everyone around it. How close is a “Disproportionately Impacted Area” (DIA) to where you live or work? Illinois Democrats want pot shops to open up in DIAs to revitalize those areas. Wheaton is the DuPage County Seat. The Democrats who run the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (IDCEO) have outrageously designated western Wheaton as being a DIA, that is, an area that has high rates of arrest, conviction, and incarceration related to cannabis as well as poverty and unemployment. Needless-to-say, that must be a mistake. While Wheaton has banned the sale of pot, the Democrats who run Illinois may very well vote to allow pot shops in DIAs thereby overriding Wheaton’s ban. I ask the following and everyone else who has an interest in Wheaton to ask the IDCEO to immediately rescind its DIA designation: Wheaton Mayor and City Council members, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, Milton Township officers and trustees, DuPage County Board Chairman and County Board members, and federal and Illinois officials who represent or seek to represent any part of Wheaton.

According to the IDCEO, it designates a census tract as being a DIA if the area 1) has a poverty rate of at least 20%, 2) has 75% or more of its children participate in the federal free lunch program, 3) has an average unemployment rate that is more than 120% of the national average for a period of at least 2 consecutive calendar years, 4) has at least 20% of its households receive assistance under the supplemental nutrition assistance program, or 5) has high rates of arrest, conviction, and incarceration related to the sale, possession, use, cultivation, manufacture, or transport of cannabis.

According to the IDCEO, it designated Census Tract 8426.04 in western Wheaton (https://censusreporter.org/profiles/14000US17043842604-census-tract-842604-dupage-il/  and https://www.chicagocityscape.com/maps/index.php?place=censustract-17043842604) as a DIA because a) according to Illinois Department of Employment Security data, it had an average unemployment rate over the last two calendar years that exceeded the national average over that time period by more than 20% and b) because the per-capita rate of parolees residing in the area who had been imprisoned for cannabis offenses exceeded the cutoff for a high imprisonment rate. According to the IDCEO, “Unemployment rate data is from Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES). Data on parolees is from Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC). Per-capita rate is determined using census tract population from the 2013-2017 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year Estimates.” From what I see, one or both of the aforesaid must be a mistake. If Census Tract 8426.04 in western Wheaton as a DIA, than all of Illinois is a DIA.

I have asked the IDCEO to provide me ASAP with the specific sources of the following data concerning Census Tract 8426.04: “According to IDES data, it had an average unemployment rate over the last two calendar years that exceeded the national average over that time period by more than 20%” and “The per-capita rate of parolees residing in the area who had been imprisoned for cannabis offenses exceeded the cutoff for a high imprisonment rate.”

Again, I ask the following and everyone else who has an interest in Wheaton to ask the IDCEO to immediately rescind its DIA designation: Wheaton Mayor and City Council members, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, Milton Township officers and trustees, DuPage County Board Chairman and County Board members, and federal and Illinois officials who represent or seek to represent any part of Wheaton.

— Even Amid Low Unemployment, Many Workers Struggle Finding A Job – Christian Weller (DIERSEN: What has frustrated your job searches? Since 1997, the following things have frustrated my job searches: In 1997, when I was 49 years old, my Democrat GAO superiors forced me to take their early retirement “offer.” Previous to that, they gave me unfair performance expectations and appraisals, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, did not promote me beyond GS-13, got rid of my mentor in 1987, kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forced me to take a $19,568 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980. They would not have taken the aforesaid adverse actions against me if I had been a Democrat, minority, female, younger person, or veteran.)
