PJ MEDIA
— President Trump Is One of Many People Skipping CPAC This Year. DD: I not only attended many CPACs, I helped sponsor many of them, but not recently. I became increasingly disappointed with their moving toward Libertarianism. I should write a book about my anti-conservative critics/opponents who used my promoting CPACs against me the most. I would focus on past and present leaders of the Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, Milton Township Republican Organization, Illinois Center Right Coalition, and TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois.
https://pjmedia.com/stephen-kruiser/2026/03/25/the-morning-briefing-president-trump-is-one-of-many-people-skipping-cpac-this-year-n4951057
(FROM THE ARTICLE: CPAC was, for a long time, a grand affair. Every movement conservative either went, or wanted to go. The average attendance was around 10,000 every year. The Kruiser Kabana was a party that I hosted at conferences and it was CPAC that gave it semi-legendary status. After the Tea Party conferences went away (the Koch brothers got tired of spending their money on Republicans after Mitt Romney), CPAC was the one gathering where we could all see each other. For most of the conference’s history, its organizer the American Conservative Union held it in or near Washington, D.C. That made it more convenient for prominent Beltway Republicans to attend. Post-COVID, the ACU flirted with Florida, which was where I last attended it in 2022. I’m not sure how the conference went, but my good friend and partner in thought crime Stephen Green and I made the resort bar run out of IPAs. It was after that when the people I knew who had gone to CPAC for 10 years or more stopped attending. I have a few friends who just love the event and would probably still go if it were being held in a mobile home in the middle of nowhere, but the stories I was hearing from some of them were pretty sad. The conference has again fled the D.C. area and is being held in Texas this year. I’m sure that I know some of the attendees, but this year’s event has been so off the radar that both VodkaPundit and I thought it had already happened. The reason I went through all of this wasn’t to bash CPAC — we need all the friendlies we can get — but to get across the point that it may not be as mighty or have the cachet that it once did. This brings me to the hysterical conversation around President Trump’s decision to not attend CPAC for the first time in a decade. Lefties are having a field day with it.)

— Pritzker Convenes Roundtable on BUILD Initiative to Lower Housing Costs. In today’s dollars, I paid about $180,000 for it. In today’s dollars, my IRS Revenue Officer salary had increased from $56,409/year to $68,999/year. The down payment came from what I had earned working for IRS for 15 months and for a Firestone Store part-time for 18 months and full-time for 7 months before that. According to Zillow, the townhome is currently worth $89,100. Sadly, that says worlds about real estate values in University Park.

— Florida flip sends chills through Illinois GOP
https://www.politico.com/newsletters/illinois-playbook/2026/03/26/florida-flip-sends-chills-through-illinois-gop-00845831
(FROM THE NEWSLETTER: NOT JUST A FLUKE: Illinois Republicans are starting to read the tea leaves — and they don’t exactly like what they’re seeing. As Democrats continue to overperform in legislative races across the country, GOP operatives here are wondering if the same trends could spell trouble closer to home come November. Florida wake-up call: The latest jolt came out of Florida, where a Republican-held district that includes Mar-a-Lago flipped to Democrats. That result is reverberating well beyond the Sunshine State, serving as a wake-up call for Republicans nationwide — and in Republican areas of Illinois. Jon Zahm, a GOP strategist, worries that voter participation in last week’s primary is an early indicator of what could happen in November. In last week’s Illinois primary, Democrats voted two-to-one in Kane and DuPage counties, he said, and “that’s a big gap to overcome.” Global ripple effect: Zahm also sees world issues bleeding into local races. “The longer the war [in Iran] goes on, the more difficult it is for Republicans. With the war comes the increased gas prices, which affects transportation, which affects grocery prices,” he said in an interview. Then there’s the Trump factor: Another Republican political strategist granted anonymity to speak freely worries that if President Donald Trump continues to “double down” on issues tied to the war and immigration enforcement, the party risks alienating swing voters and even its base. That delicate balancing act is already playing out on the campaign trail. During his primary night speech, Darren Bailey acknowledged the tightrope candidates are walking. “There are things I agree with Donald Trump about, and there are things that I disagree with him about. I am my own man,” Bailey said. He added that he would support Trump when “he’s right,” while also shifting focus to broadly appealing economic populist ideas like the “no tax on tips” movement — an effort to connect with voters beyond Trump’s core base. There’s optimism, too: “Things are going to twist and turn dozens of more times. In November, the political landscape and issues will look completely different,” said Rhonda Belford, chair of the Hardin County Republican Central Committee. Still, she acknowledged, Republican voters will likely stay focused on the economy. “People are very mindful of gas prices. Everybody’s got their eye on that. But I think that is going to turn around.” Sounds familiar: Myles Nelson, another GOP consultant, cautions that midterms usually hurt the party in the White House. But he believes candidates in rural areas can still do well if they focus on “kitchen table issues that families care about.”)

https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/conservative-media-figures-lose-court-bid-for-wa-house-press-passes/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The Democratic-controlled Washington House of Representatives early this year declined to issue press credentials that would have granted the three access to parts of the Capitol in Olympia that are off-limits to the general public. The body said they were not bona fide journalists because they are participants in the political arena — advocating for certain agendas and hosting or speaking at rallies. The three asked the court for an emergency temporary restraining order that would force the House to give them passes in the closing days of the session. The group includes Ari Hoffman, host of “The Ari Hoffman Show” on conservative Seattle talk radio station KVI-AM; Brandi Kruse, host of the podcast “unDivided”; and Jonathan Choe, a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute, a conservative think tank. Their lawyer, Jackson Maynard, told U.S. District Judge David Estudillo on Monday that the process used to deny them press credentials was vague and arbitrarily applied, violating their due-process rights, and withholding access because of they disagree with the lawmakers’ political views violates their constitutional rights of free speech and free press. “In the remaining 72 hours of the legislative session, the House will potentially be wrestling with a multibillion-dollar budget and other legislation of great importance,” Maynard told the judge Monday. “My clients are the eyes and ears of the people in the legislative process. Their voices and opinions should not be excluded.” In his ruling, Estudillo said the group failed to show that they were denied passes because of their political affiliations — which would be a violation of their First Amendment rights — and failed to show that the process was arbitrary, which would have violated their due process rights. “The court acknowledges that both parties have legitimate interests at stake here,” Estudillo said in his order. But denying the temporary restraining order is appropriate because the three failed to show that they are likely to succeed on their free press or due process claims, and the “House has a substantial interest in ensuring the reporters it permits to access the House floor meet the credential standards promulgated so the House may ‘debate and pass laws without interruption or lobbying in that space.’” Maynard said they’re not giving up. “We will continue to litigate this case until we either prevail or exercise every viable legal option,” he said in an email. “Our goal is to get our clients the access they are entitled to by the constitution as members of the press.” Jessica Goldman, the lawyer for the House, said they were confident that any further litigation would end with the same conclusion — that the press pass policy complies with the constitution and protects the lawmakers’ working space. Legislatures across the country have grappled with how to address the changing media landscape. TV, radio and newspaper reporters are being joined by podcasters and other user-generated content producers. Conservative influencers have made regular appearances at news conferences and events hosted by the Trump administration. Goldman told Estudillo that the group was not denied passes because of their viewpoints but because they were activists for political causes, not independent monitors. “It’s also important to understand that the plaintiffs here were not just attending an event, which obviously journalists do all the time,” Goldman said. “They were the leaders of these events that they attended. They were their keynote speakers. They have attached their names and their fame and notoriety to trying to get these … laws passed by the legislature.” For example, besides being a talk radio host, Hoffman is also is involved with Let’s Go Washington, a political action committee that campaigns for initiatives. Kruse is also involved in that group, as well as the group Future 42, where she criticizes Democratic policymakers and advocates for or against proposed bills. Choe requested the press pass as a representative of “Discovery Institute/Frontlines TPUSA.” Discovery is a think tank, and Turning Point USA says its “mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government,” lawyers said in their filing. The Washington State Capitol Correspondents Association guidelines for granting press passes says the person must be “a bona fide journalist” and there must be a line “between professional journalism and political or policy work.” The association shifted the credentialing process to the Legislature after the three threatened a lawsuit in 2025. The Senate eventually issued the passes, but the House took over the process and denied the pass requests. The criteria for granting press credentials “are guided by the principle that House floor access should be given to press who are independent observers and monitors, not participants with a stake in the proceedings, no matter their political viewpoints,” Goldman said in a court filing. Other legislatures have faced similar questions. Journalist Bryan Schott covered the Utah Legislature for years with a press pass, but was denied a credential after founding the news website Utah Political Watch. The legislature’s policy excluded “blogs, independent or other freelance journalists.” He sued but his case was dismissed. Iowa Senate Republican lawmakers changed their policy of letting reporters on the Senate floor in 2022, arguing they couldn’t determine who should get media credentials at a time when there are new media outlets.)

JD SUPRA
— In Pennsylvania, it has long been the rule that a party pursuing a lawsuit against a licensed professional must first obtain expert support for his claims. Specifically, when a plaintiff claims that a licensed professional deviated from an acceptable professional standard, he must file a certificate of merit. DD: Government is nasty/vicious. Politics is nasty/vicious. I became a licensed CPA when I was 32 in 1981. By their wasting my career and by their forcing me to retire when I was 49 in 1997, my Democrat GAO superiors hinted/implied that it was because I had “deviated from an acceptable professional standard.” They would not have done that if I had become a Democrat and helped them get rid of their employees who were Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran.

Further, none of my Democrat GAO superiors and supervisors had taken the examination let alone passed it let alone passed it on their first attempt.

FAST COMPANY
— Stack-ranking employees. DD: While I worked for the Democrats who ran the federal government for almost 30 years, they always put me in their bottom 10%. They got ever-increasingly furious a) when I earned a job-related bachelor’s degree when I was 21, b) when I earned job-related master’s degrees when I was 27, 31, and 48, c) when I earned job-related professional certifications when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 47, and 48, and d) when I earned a job-related professional license when I was 32. They were furious when IRS promoted me when I was 23, 24, and 25 and when GAO promoted me when I was 38. All my coworkers who they promoted over me were Democrats who were minority, female, younger than me, veteran and/or had less work experience than I had, had less education than I had, had no professional certifications or fewer than I had, and/or had no professional license like the one I had. They used up-or-out to get rid of me. To use up-or-out is to use age discrimination. They used Affirmative Action (AA) and DEI to get rid of me. To use AA and DEI is to dump meritocracy. Democrat and RINO leaders always have and they always will use AA and DEI to get rid of Republicans who are conservative, White, male, older, non-poor, married, Protestant, German American, and/or have ancestors who have been in America for a long time.
https://www.fastcompany.com/91513815/humiliation-cycle-how-leaders-accidentally-weaponize-their-competition
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Back in the 1980s, stack-ranking employees was seen as a state-of-the-art management practice. CEOs like Jack Welch at GE divided employees into three distinct segments: the top 20% of performers, the middle 70%, and the bottom 10%. Those at the bottom would be forced out to make room for new blood. The strange thing about stack ranking is that it’s long been shown to be ineffective and, in many cases, to undermine performance. The problem is that stack ranking doesn’t create a meritocracy. It creates a political system. The winners tend to be those most skilled at claiming credit, shifting blame, and building alliances. Yet still, the practice persists.)

WIREPOINTS
— New IRS Migration Numbers: Illinois Taxpayers Continue to Flee With Their Income. DD: Illinois Democrat and RINO leaders ever-increasingly do everything that they can to drive conservatives out of Illinois. If you are conservative, what keeps you in Illinois? For me, it includes a) my ancestors having lived in northeast Illinois since 1844, b) my having lived in Wheaton since 1978, c) my wife and I living in our home since 1984, d) my parents, my brother, and virtually all of my relatives having died, e) my having earned my bachelor’s degree, three master’s degrees, six professional certifications, and a professional license in northeast Illinois, and f) the conservative-created prosperity and safety that remains in DuPage County, Milton Township, and Wheaton. I have seen from what has happened in DuPage County, in Milton Township, and in Wheaton that sooner or later, where conservatives create prosperity and safety, Democrats and RINOs move in and destroy it. The Democrat Party platform creates poverty and crime.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2026/mar/22/white-supremacy-latest-race-hustle/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The war on White supremacy is recycled Marxism. Because many who denounce it the most bitterly are themselves White, it’s also self-hatred. Whether they are politicians, bureaucrats, academics or authors, leftists can hardly open their mouths these days without blaming White supremacy for something. Earlier this month, when terrorists threw explosive devices at protesters outside Gracie Mansion, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s initial response was to condemn not the terrorists, who by their own admission wanted to create another Boston Marathon bombing, but rather those protesting the growing influence of Islam on the city. (Mr. Mamdani called the demonstration “a vile protest rooted in White supremacy.”) Wait, I thought Islam was a religion, not a race. Even the city’s Marxist mayor is a moderate compared with Cea Weaver, head of the Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants, which sounds like a cross between an AWFUL (Affluent White Female Urban Liberal) and Josef Stalin. Ms. Weaver charges that “private property is a weapon of White supremacy” and the United States “built wealth for White people through genocide, slavery, stolen land and labor.” I wonder whom her mother exploited to get her $1.6 million home in Nashville, Tennessee.)

DD: Far too many come to America a) to take advantage of the tremendous benefits and preferences that Democrats and RINOs give immigrants, b) to turn America into their motherland, and/or c) to convert everyone to their religion. My ancestors did nothing to turn America into Germany or to make everyone Missouri Synod Lutherans. https://nypost.com/2026/03/22/opinion/why-todays-immigrants-to-america-are-so-hostile-to-their-new-country/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: While America is at war with Iran, crowds of immigrants, visitors and foreign students scream anti-American slogans as they cheer our enemies. On campuses, thousands of Middle Eastern international students have staged often violent demonstrations. They’re not shy about cheering on the Hamas slaughter of Israeli civilians. They haven’t just damned Israel but also often harassed Jewish Americans. . .In the mid-1960s, new laws junked the prior merit-based system and instead admitted immigrants chiefly on the basis of family ties and the purported need of the host country for inexpensive labor. In the 60 years since, Democrats began welcoming in anyone, legal or not, who simply crashed the border or claimed they wanted to study in the US. The old melting pot was banished, replaced by the “salad bowl.” Immigration was seen by the Left as the answer to why they’d never been able to complete their socialist agendas. The new “diversity” ideology peaked under Barack Obama and Joe Biden. It dictated that traditional America was still too white, too traditionalist, too Christian, too unfairly successful — and too hostile to the Democratic-socialist agenda.)

— DD: ACCORDING TO BREITBART: Cesar Chavez opposed illegal immigration every bit as much as Donald J. Trump. Chávez understood that illegal aliens undermined the wages of legal migrant workers and their union bargaining power. Cesar Chavez was so opposed to illegal immigration that, just like Minuteman Project of 2004, which was widely smeared in the legacy media as racist, Chavez put together his own militia to stop illegals from crossing the border. There are credible reports that violence was used as an example to others. — There are far too many wrong reasons to vote for candidates. Far too many vote for Democrat and RINO candidates a) because they want to punish Trump, b) because the candidate hints/implies/argues/shouts that if elected, they will use government to give more preference to those who share the voter’s demographics and/or b) because the candidate and/or their spouse share the voter’s demographics. To get elected, ever-increasingly, Democrat and RINO candidates promise to use government to give more preference to voters who are Trump-haters, liberal/moderate, minority, female, younger, non-rich, unmarried, LGBTQ, non-Protestant, non-German American, have ancestors who have not been in America for a long time, and/or are in America illegally. To get elected, ever-increasingly, Democrat and RINO candidates promise to use government to promote more hatred against Trump, dependency on government and charity, LGBTQ, abortion, mass/illegal immigration, vices, gun control, and Affirmative Acton and DEI, that is, race and gender based preference giving, patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, religious discrimination, and national origin discrimination. According to Google AI: Political analysts and ethicists point to several “wrong” or irrational reasons for casting a vote, generally defined as those that do not involve a critical assessment of a candidate’s qualifications, policies, or potential to contribute to the common good. Common examples of potentially poor reasons to vote for a candidate include: Party Loyalty Over Substance: Voting purely along party lines without examining the specific candidate’s platform or character, driven by a belief that it is wrong to abandon one’s party. Single-Issue Voting: Supporting or opposing a candidate based solely on their position on one specific issue, without weighing the candidate’s stance on a range of other important matters. Candidate’s Appearance or Charisma: Focusing on superficial traits like a candidate’s looks, how they speak, or their “celebrity” status, rather than their policy proposals or governing ability. One historical example cited is an elector in 1852 who objected to a candidate purely because “he wears mustachios”. Unrealistic or Impossible Promises: Being swayed by grand but unfeasible promises, such as instantly lowering grocery prices or ending a war overnight, without scrutinizing the practical means of achieving them. Fear and Prejudice: Allowing fear of an opposing group (e.g., immigrants, different religious groups, other political parties) to dictate a vote, rather than a thoughtful consideration of the candidates’ merits. Voting for “Free Things”: Supporting a candidate purely because they promise government benefits or “free” programs, without considering the economic feasibility or overall impact on society. Ballot Position: Choosing a candidate simply because they are listed higher on the ballot, which studies have shown can influence voters who have not researched the candidates. “Feel-Good” Citizenship: Voting based on prejudices or delusions, which may provide psychological pleasure to the voter but result in supporting policies contrary to their own or the public’s best interests. – Dave Diersen

— What will your Republican Precinct Committeeman do to help elect the Republican candidates on the ballot in your precinct on November 3? Of course, I will try to get as many sign locations as possible in my precinct. I will hand-deliver a DuPage County GOP envelope with my return address label on it to all the residences in my precinct that have a) at least one Republican registered voter and b) only NA registered voters. The envelopes will contain a copy of the sample ballot, a Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) Voter Guide, and campaign literature from all of the candidates who provide their literature to the MTRO. The Republican candidates on the ballot in my precinct are Tracy, Bailey, Fioretti, Harris, Drew, Soloman, Oakley, Lewis, Vrankovich, Grasso, Noonan, Schiappa, Henry, Eckhoff, Michaud, Schultz, Quirk, and Helland or Senak. – Dave Diersen

I am a platform Republican. Political parties exist to help elect candidates who can and will defend and advance their platform. The Republican Party platform in conservative. – Dave Diersen

DD: FROM BREITBART: Cesar Chavez opposed illegal immigration every bit as much as Donald J. Trump. CENTRAL ILLINOIS PROUD
— Trump’s push to abolish the Education Department reaches student loan portfolio. DD: Did you get a student loan and/or a scholarship? I got neither. My critics/opponents have always stressed that my ACT score was only 24 and that I only just barely made it into the upper 20% of my class. Further, they have always outrageously, disgustingly, falsely, and unethically hinted/implied/argued/shouted that my parents were filthy rich and that is why I could not get a financial scholarship. They have always known that I had to work my way through college.

https://indivisible.org/events/wheaton-roosevelt-road-resistance-no-kings-iii-main-st-2/
(FROM THE POSTING: On March 28, communities across DuPage County will gather along Roosevelt Road from Elmhurst to West Chicago for No Kings 3 —a coordinated, peaceful demonstration to defend American democracy at a moment when it matters most. Our goal is simple: to make democracy visible. To remind our communities that civic engagement is not a spectator sport. And to demonstrate that when YOU show up—physically, publicly, and together—democracy grows stronger. At 11 major intersections up and down Roosevelt Road, neighbors, families, activists, and first‑time participants will stand shoulder to shoulder, forming a visible line of civic resolve stretching across one of the county’s most traveled corridors. Each gathering point will serve as a beacon of democratic commitment. Bring your creative signs to wave to passing cars and join us with chants and songs as we connect with each other and our communities. Small American flags will be distributed at each intersection (while supplies last). On March 28, Roosevelt Road becomes more than a roadway. It becomes a statement. A gathering place. A line in the sand. No Crowns, No Thrones, No Kings! This location is being organized by the League of Women Voters – Wheaton and Indivisible DuPage in collaboration with partner organizations: Downers Grove, Milton, Winfield & York Township Democrats; League of Women Voters-Glen Ellyn; Democratic Women of DuPage County; Swing Left DuPage; and Illinois Muslim Action Network. Please choose a location convenient for you or based on the organization. *A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*)

GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— I want to help the candidates who won in the March 17 Republican primary get as many votes as possible in my DuPage County Milton Township Precinct 59 to win in the November 3 election. I anxiously await hearing from them on what they want me to do through communications from the Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO), DuPage County Republican Central Committee, Illinois Republican Party, and/or directly from their campaigns. The candidates are Tracy, Bailey, Fioretti, Harris, Drew, Soloman, Oakley, Lewis, Vrankovich, Grasso, Noonan, Schiappa, Henry, Eckhoff, Michaud, Schultz, Quirk, and Helland or Senak. Back in 2003, I organized a picnic in the Prairie Path Park in my precinct that all the announced Republican candidates for U.S. Senate attended: Cox, Kathuria, McKenna, Oberweis, and Ryan. More than 200 attended. Back then, in addition to my being a Republican Precinct Committeeman, I was the GOPUSA Illinois Editor, the MTRO webmaster, and an officer of TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois, Illinois Center Right Coalition, and American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter. I organized a major MTRO straw poll later that year that Ryan won. – Dave Diersen

— According to my critics/opponents, the more that I do to help elect candidates, a) the fewer votes that those candidates will get and b) the more votes that their opponents will get. If you were me, how would deal with that? Most commonly, my critics/opponents hint/imply/argue/shout that I am far too conservative, and that therefore, the more that I do to help elect a candidate, that means that candidate is too conservative to win. My critics/opponents want the Republican Party to dump the following planks in its platform: personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration, anti-vice, Second Amendment, and/or equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving).  My critics/opponents stress the many big adverse actions that they have had their operatives and their dupes take against me. – Dave Diersen

To form his United Farmworkers Union (UFW), it was Chavez versus the growers, and for obvious reasons, the growers loved the open border. For just as obvious reasons, Chavez did not. THE HILL
— Bailey faces uphill battle in Illinois governor’s race against Pritzker. DD: What uphill battles have you faced? Mine include getting promoted to GS-13. I finally made GS-13 when I was 38 in 1986, but not until after I had a) earned a MBA when I was 27, b) passed the CPA examination on my first attempt when I was 30, c) transferred from IRS to GAO and earned a master’s degree in accounting when I was 31, d) passed the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt and become a licensed CPA when I was 32, and e) the GAO manager who had arranged my transfer got back into power and assigned me to audits of IRS and promoted me. Another uphill battle was keeping my GAO job at least until I was eligible for regular retirement when I was 55. I lost that battle when I was 49 even though I became a Certified Fraud Examiner when I was 41, Certified Government Financial Manager when I was 45, Certified Financial Services Auditor when I was 47, and Forensic Accountant when I was 48, and I earned a master’s degree in financial markets and trading when I was 48. I would have made GS-13 much sooner and I might still be a GAO employee if I had been a Democrat, minority, female, and/or veteran.

My father never earned more than $50,000/year in today’s dollars. My mother did not work outside the home until after he died suddenly when he was 47 and I was 21. Consequently, I had to and I did work my way through college. But my GPA suffered because of that. Because of that, I got no scholarships. While I was a junior and a senior in high school, instead of studying, I washed dishes for 28 hours a week during the school years and 40 hours a week during the summer in between. While I took classes at UIC and NIU, instead of studying, I delivered mail for all the part-time hours that I could during the school years and full-time during the summers in between.

At least 186 (58%) cast Democrat ballots and at least 136 (42%) cast Republican ballots. In Illinois, it is public record that you voted in primaries and which party you cast a ballot for. As Democrat domination of Illinois becomes ever-increasingly absolute, anticipate/expect that because of fear of retaliation from Democrats, fewer and fewer and fewer Republican primary ballots will be cast. Because more and more and more employers in Illinois are Democrat or RINO, a) fewer and fewer and fewer Republicans will be hired and b) more and more and more Republicans will be gotten rid of. I have cast Republican primary ballots since I was 18 in 1966. I worked for the Democrats who ran the federal government 1966-1969 and 1971-1997. They ever-increasingly used my being a Republican against me. They also knew that I was a draft avoider, Protestant, German American, my ancestors had been in America since 1844, I lived in Crete 1948-1972, and I lived in Wheaton since 1978 and they ever-increasingly used that against me. — Pritzker administration opens down payment assistance program to spur homeownership. DD: In today’s dollars, my IRS Revenue Officer salary increased from $56,409/year to $68,999/year when I was 24 in 1972. That enabled me to buy a new townhome in University Park ( https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/774-Sunset-Ct-5-University-Park-IL-60484/5451474_zpid/ ). My critics/opponents were furious about that. They were even more furious than when I bought a new 1972 Corvette in 1971. In my defense, the down payment for the townhome came from what I had earned working for IRS for 15 months and for a Firestone Store part-time for 18 months and full-time for 7 months before that and half of the money for the Corvette came from an insurance settlement, the rest was a loan. According to my critics/opponents, I would not have been able to buy that Corvette or that townhome a) if I had not avoided the Vietnam War draft and b) if I had not been grossly overpaid by IRS. In my defense, I had earned a bachelor’s degree in management from NIU in 1970 and I completed a graduate evening business course at UIC in 1971 and four graduate evening business courses at Loyola in 1972. (FROM THE ARTICLE: A 1986 law makes it illegal for U.S. employers to hire aliens who are not authorized to work. Employers must verify that all their new employees are eligible to work and maintain records showing those employees are employment authorized. ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations Directorate (HSI) engages in “worksite enforcement” to ensure businesses are not employing unauthorized aliens. During worksite enforcement investigations, HSI can secure permission — from either the employer or a federal judge — to enter businesses and find illegal aliens. Traditionally, most immigration arrests occurred in worksites, not on the streets or in communities, and DHS should return to such an enforcement strategy.

Further, they hinted/implied/argued/shouted that I was an unmitigated disgusting coward because I probably would not have been sent into combat because I could not run because I had a bone disease, because my eyesight could not be corrected to 20/20, and because I had partial red/green color blindness. DAILY HERALD
— DuPage clerk’s election loss won’t end legal fight with county board
https://www.dailyherald.com/20260319/news/dupage-clerks-election-loss-wont-end-legal-fight-with-county-board/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Despite losing her reelection bid, DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek says she will continue with an appeal challenging recent court rulings in her ongoing feud with the county board. The Glen Ellyn Democrat has been locked in a yearslong battle with the board over how she runs the county clerk’s office and how bills get paid. That fight ended up in court and was a key factor in why the two-term incumbent found herself facing a challenger in the Democratic primary election. On Tuesday, DuPage County Board member Paula Deacon Garcia defeated Kaczmarek to become the Democratic nominee for county clerk. In November, she will face Republican Patricia Kladis-Schiappa, an attorney from Burr Ridge. Deacon Garcia and Kladis-Schiappa both say they would end the legal battle with the county board if they are elected. However, Kaczmarek will continue to serve as county clerk until the end of November. In the meantime, she says she intends to pursue an appeal she filed earlier this year. “The need for clear legal standards to govern the relationship between different elected offices is of much greater and wider consequence than the results of any individual election,” Kaczmarek said in a statement. Noting that a DuPage judge sided with the county in two recent rulings, a spokesman for the DuPage County state’s attorney’s office said the office will “continue to vigorously defend the county in this matter.” Kaczmarek has argued that multiple opinions issued by the Illinois attorney general’s office have supported the contention that elected officials have internal control over their office. In addition, Kaczmarek claims the county has tried to require her office to make unnecessary budget transfers in order for bills to be paid. County board members counter that they don’t want to tell Kaczmarek what to do. However, they say the county can require its elected officials and department heads to follow basic accounting procedures and state laws on bidding. Still, Kaczmarek insists that the county board and the state’s attorney’s office “continue to mislead the public regarding the fact that they are simply ignoring” everything that the attorney general’s office has advised. “There must be independence of county officers from county board interference,” Kaczmarek said. “Nothing has changed regarding the need for higher courts to clarify whether every attorney general’s opinion on these issues for decades has simply been wrong. The rest of the state is operating under different rules than DuPage County.” The county board filed a lawsuit in 2024 seeking a judge’s order to compel Kaczmarek into compliance with county accounting procedures for bill payments. At the time, Kaczmarek would not fill out the requested paperwork for budget transfers to get bills paid, arguing that it wasn’t necessary because there was enough money in her budget to cover the expenses. Last August, a judge ruled in the county’s favor and compelled Kaczmarek to follow the county’s accounting procedures. Then in December, the same judge ruled against Kaczmarek’s request for summary judgment, where she argued contracts with two election-related vendors were exempt from bidding rules because they fell under professional services. In January, Kaczmarek’s attorney filed the notice of appeal challenging both rulings. On Wednesday, Kaczmarek’s attorney, Ken Florey, said legal briefs from both sides should be filed in the coming months. He was hopeful a ruling could be issued before the November election. DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek released the following statement Wednesday after her election loss: “The DuPage County Board and State’s Attorney continue to mislead the public regarding the fact that they are simply ignoring everything the Attorney General’s Office has advised for over 40 years. There must be independence of county officers from county board interference. Nothing has changed regarding the need for higher courts to clarify whether every Attorney General’s opinion on these issues for decades has simply been wrong. The rest of the state is operating under different rules than DuPage County. The need for clear legal standards to govern the relationship between different elected offices is of much greater and wider consequence than the results of any individual election.”)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Lately, Priscilla Brown has had to choose between properly managing her Type 2 diabetes and affording other necessities, like gas in her car. Some days, she takes half or a third of her prescribed insulin dose — just to stretch it out longer. “Sometimes I don’t even take my medicine,” said the 48-year-old truck dispatcher in Orlando, Florida. “It’s so much with insurance, it’s crazy.” About 8 in 10 Americans, like Brown, who re-enrolled in Affordable Care Act marketplace coverage say their health care costs are higher this year, including about half who say their costs are “a lot” higher, according to a new survey from the health care research nonprofit KFF. A main reason for increased costs was the Dec. 31 expiration of enhanced tax credits that had offset premiums for most enrollees. For Brown and others, those spiking costs are having real impacts on daily life. Of the 1,117 Americans surveyed who had ACA marketplace coverage in 2025, including those who dropped coverage or changed plans, about 55% said they’re planning to deal with health care costs by cutting spending on food and other basic household needs.)

According to voter data, just 561,000 Republicans cast ballots in the primary. Campaign voter models estimate there are approximately 1.69 million Republican-leaning voters in Illinois. That means two out of every three Republican voters stayed home. By comparison, Republicans turned out about 47 percent of their base in 2022 – marking a 14-point drop in enthusiasm in just four years. Meanwhile, Democrats moved in the opposite direction.)

— I anticipate/expect that fewer Democrats will crossover today because there is less need to because of the ever-increasing total Democrat domination of Illinois. How soon will 100% of all elected offices in Illinois be held by Democrats? With no elected Republicans to blame for Illinois’ ever-increasing problems, who will Democrat leaders blame? They will ever-increasingly blame those still in Illinois who share Trump’s demographics: heterosexual, married, non-poor, conservative, Republican, White, male, older, German American, and/or have ancestors who have been in America for a long time. Anticipate/expect that Democrat leaders will elect some RINOs to give Democrat elected officials some cover. – Dave Diersen

— In Illinois, it is public record that you voted in primaries and which party you cast a ballot for. As Democrat domination of Illinois becomes ever-increasingly absolute, anticipate/expect that because of fear of retaliation from Democrats, fewer and fewer and fewer Republican primary ballots will be cast. GOVERNING
— DD: I anticipate/expect that fewer Democrats will crossover today because there is less need to because of the ever-increasing total Democrat domination of Illinois.

I have cast Republican primary ballots since I was 18 in 1966. I worked for the Democrats who ran the federal government 1966-1969 and 1971-1997. GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— How interested in the March 17 primary are the voters in your county, township, municipality, school district, and precinct? Do they know which offices are on the ballots in their precinct and who the candidates are? Which contested races are they most interested in and why? What do they know about the candidates in the contested races? What criteria do they use to pick candidates? How much weight do they give to endorsements and fundraising success? Have they voted already? Will they vote? Have they/will they cast a Republican or Democrat ballot and why? Do they know that casting a partisan ballot affiliates them with that party for 2 years? How successful have Democrat leaders been shouting that if you do not like what Trump has said or done, you should cast a Democrat ballot, and if not that, you should do not vote at all? I am very interested in the election results in my precinct. I spent many hours a) putting 800 mailing labels for the Republican and NA voters in my precinct and 400 return address labels on 400 DuPage County GOP envelopes, b) putting them into walk order, c) stuffing them with an unmarked sample ballot, a Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) Voter Guide, and campaign literature the five Republican candidates who provided MTRO with their literature, d) dividing them into 5 batches, and e) hand-delivering them. I used my photocopier, paper, and ink to copy the unmarked sample ballot 400 times 2-sided back-to-back. If I spent 6 minutes getting each envelope ready, that would be 40 hours. I spent about 15 hours hand-delivering the envelopes, or about 3 hours per batch. Only one registered hard-D voter in my precinct threatened me for what I did. – Dave Diersen

— When, from where, and why did your ancestors immigrate? I will never forget the diversity event that my Democrat GAO Chicago office superiors held at which we were all forced to publicly disclose when, from where, and why your ancestors immigrated. Of course, I disclosed that all my ancestors immigrated during the 1840s and 1850s from what is now Germany and that they immigrated to escape problems where they lived. Virtually all of my Democrat GAO Chicago office superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates were Democrats. Virtually none in the office was conservative and Republican like me. Virtually all of them had parents, grandparents, etc. who had been killed by the Germans in WWI and/or WWII. I stressed that my grandfather on my father’s side fought the Germans in WWI and that my uncles on my mother’s side fought the Germans in WWII. From what I see, more and more and more of those who come to America do so a) because they want to take advantage of the tremendous benefits that Democrat and RINO leaders give them, b) because they want to turn America into their motherland, and/or c) because they want to convert everyone in America to their religion. – Dave Diersen

— What salary is needed to afford a house in Chicago in 2026? According to Zillow, the townhome is currently worth $87,100.

DD: Many, most, virtually all, and at times all of my Democrat superiors and supervisors in the federal government were Democrat veterans who blamed Republicans for America losing the Vietnam War. They especially blamed me because I was a Republican, 1-A for the draft, and had avoided the draft with four student deferments and a financial hardship deferment. Further, they hinted/implied/argued/shouted that I was an unmitigated disgusting coward because I probably would not have been sent into combat because I could not run because I had a bone disease, because my eyesight could not be corrected to 20/20, and because I had partial red/green color blindness.

From what I see, more and more and more of those who come to America do so a) because they want to take advantage of the tremendous benefits that Democrat and RINO leaders give them, b) because they want to turn America into their motherland, and/or c) because they want to convert everyone in America to their religion.

— Whose ‘Stolen’ Land Is It, Anyway? DD: If I had ran for a government office, my critics/opponents would attributed everything that I have to my benefitting from my ancestors on my father’s side homesteading a 240-acres in southeast Crete Township in 1854. They sold that land and bought 10-acres just north of downtown Crete in 1864. My grandfather had 1286 Wood Street built on that land in 1926. I lived in that home 1954-1972. — ICE slashed its training hours for recruits during hiring blitz to fulfill Trump’s deportation demands. While I worked for IRS 1971-1980 and for GAO 1980-1997, the agencies provided me with lots of classroom training. But the Democrats who ran IRS and GAO wasted what I learned form that training as well as what I learned a) earning a bachelor’s degree in management from NIU in 1970, b) earning an MBA from Loyola in 1976, c) passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, d) earning a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul in 1980, e) passing the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt in 1981, and f) earning a master’s degree in finance from IIT in 1997. GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— In Illinois, Democrat leaders ever-increasingly a) demonize, denigrate, and condemn everything that Trump says or does and b) shout at Illinois voters that if you do not like what Trump says or does, cast a Democrat primary ballot, but if not that, do not vote at all.  – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— What motivates you to help elect candidates? For me, it is their promise, their demonstrated ability, and their track record to defend and advance the Republican Party platform, including its personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration, anti-vice, Second Amendment, and equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks. From what I see, what motivates far too many to help elect candidates is their promise, their demonstrated ability, and their track record to use government to give more preference to those who share their demographics. Democrat elected officials ever-increasingly use government to give more preference to those who are liberal/moderate, minority, female, younger, non-rich, non-married, LGBTQ, non-Protestant, non-German American, have ancestors who have not been in America for a long time, and/or noncitizen. – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— How many candidates on the Republican primary ballot in your precinct are going to lose March 17? In my precinct, three of the four governor candidates will lose. Five of the six U.S. Senate candidates will lose. One of the two Secretary of State candidates will lose. One of the two DuPage County Sheriff candidates will lose. If the future repeats the past, my critics/opponents will hint/imply/argue/shout at the losing candidates that me and my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters caused them to lose. Further, my critics/opponents will hint/imply/argue/shout at the winning candidates that if they lose on November 3, it will be because of me and my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters. Should I name my critics/opponents? Should I list the adverse actions that they have had their operatives and their dupes take against me to stop me from sending out my newsletter and to stop everyone from reading my newsletters? My critics/opponents destroy those like me a) who they cannot manipulate/dominate b) who refuse to glorify and praise them, c) who refuse to pander to them, d) who refuse to serve as one of their operatives or dupes, e) who refuse to cover up their wrong doing, and/or f) who refuse to give them money. – Dave Diersen

Kaczmarek demonizes, denigrates, and condemns ICE, military, and federal agents. But to do that is demonize, denigrate, and condemn not only Trump, but to demonize, denigrate, and condemn all Republicans. In the interest of full disclosure, I am a registered Republican voter, I am an elected Republican Precinct Committeeman, I am the GOPUSA Illinois Editor, and my wife is an election judge. – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— What has your Republican Precinct Committeeman done to increase the number of Republican ballots cast in your precinct in the March 17 primary? I spent many hours a) putting 800 mailing labels and 400 return address labels on 400 DuPage County GOP envelopes, b) putting them into walk order, c) stuffing them with an unmarked sample ballot, a Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) Voter Guide, and campaign literature the five candidates who provided MTRO with their literature, d) dividing them into 5 batches, and e) hand-delivering them. – Dave Diersen
