— Given that the federal government has always been run by Democrats who hate Republicans, one could ask why did I became a federal employee. I became a part-time postal employee when I was 18 years old in 1966 because I needed money to pay for my college expenses. I had taken and passed the postal employment examination because my high school friend had suggested that I join him in doing that. I became an IRS employee in 1971 because I needed a job. I had taken and passed the Federal Service Entrance Examination as a fallback if I could not get a good job in the automotive industry. I needed a job because I was helping support my mother and brother because my father had suddenly died. My Firestone Store boss had fired me because I had accepted a job offer from Oldsmobile. But Oldsmobile had withdrawn that offer saying that it had just agreed to stop hiring Whites to settle an EEOC complaint. I became a GAO employee in 1980 because of GAO’s mission and because of its claimed nonpartisanship. I had recently earned an MBA from Loyola and passed the CPA examination on my first attempt. Once you become a federal employee, it is almost impossible to get a good job in the private sector. (FROM THE ARTICLE: Calling others names they do not deserve stems from insecurities, displaced aggression, or the need to dominate and/or control a partner/friend/coworker/etc. Those who do not have much ego strength build themselves up by tearing down innocent others. It’s a maladaptive pattern that could stem from learned behavior—that is, witnessing others do this in childhood. It may also arise from unresolved emotional issues.
