— Where is the Republican primary strength in your township? It definitely is in the west side of DuPage County’s Milton Township. In the March 20, 2018 Republican primary, of the township’s 130 precincts, of its 73 precincts on its west side, 40 were RED (between 35.5% and 17.8% of registered voters cast Republican ballots), 19 were YELLOW (between 17.6% and 13.2%), and 14 were BLUE (between 13.2% and 1.1%). Of its 57 precincts on its east side, only 3 were RED (between 35.5% and 17.8%), 25 were YELLOW (between 17.6% and 13.2%), and 29 were BLUE (between 13.2% and 1.1%). – Dave Diersen

However, in the March 20 primary election, 68 voted for Ives, while only 43 voted for Rauner, and only 15 of Milton Township’s 130 precincts had a higher percentage Republican turnout – 122 (22.2%) of the precinct’s 504 registered voters cast Republican ballots. Further, the precincts to the east, southeast, southwest, and west all had high Republican turnouts in the March 20 primary election. Jeanne Ive’s Precinct 65 to the east had a 24.9% turnout, Robert Jacobsen’s Precinct 25 where Roskam lives to the southeast had a 24.1% Republican turnout, Beth Tatro’s Precinct 130 to the southwest had a 33.5% Republican turnout, and Ron Menna’s Precinct 85 to the west had a 21.8% Republican turnout.)
