(FROM THE ARTICLE: On Monday night, Chaplin began a 2-year term by being sworn in along with fellow board members and countywide elected officials. Other sitting representatives who started new terms on the 18-member county board are Don Puchalski, Sam Tornatore, Sean Noonan, Gary Grasso, Brian Krajewski, Amy Grant, James Healy, Robert Larsen and Jim Zay. Two new county board members — Tim Elliott of Glen Ellyn and Janice Anderson of Naperville — also were sworn in during the inauguration event in Wheaton. Both are Republicans. Anderson, a former Naperville Township trustee, last month defeated Democratic incumbent Tony Michelassi. She will serve a 2-year term representing District 5. The countywide elected officials who took the oath of office Monday were State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, Recorder Fred Bucholz, County Auditor Bob Grogan, Coroner Richard Jorgensen, and Circuit Court Clerk Chris Kachiroubas. County board Chairman Dan Cronin said during the event that he’s “energized” by the what the county has achieved and the challenges it faces.)

WASHINGTON EXAMINER
— Presidential election was major setback for cultural Marxism’s hegemony – VICTOR GAETAN
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/presidential-election-was-major-setback-for-cultural-marxisms-hegemony/article/2608933
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Post-election protests continued in recent days in Chicago, Portland, and Omaha. Black Friday was displaced in Seattle by a Black Lives Matter protest of about 1,000 people combining police brutality and anti-Trump themes. But voters soundly rejected left-wing strategies of disruption when they dismissed Hillary Clinton, who aligned herself with the BLM movement, heavily financed by George Soros. Her loss was a major setback for cultural Marxism and its contemporary manifestations, a pernicious ideology that deserves to be squarely acknowledged in order to permanently eject it from America’s public square. The Black Lives Matter movement was born in 2013, “rooted in the labor and love of queer Black women” as founder Alicia Garza explains. Two years later, it had morphed into a sprawling, chaotic indictment of police brutality, indifferent to facts (twice as many whites were killed by police in 2015 than blacks, for example) and directly linked to revenge killings of innocent officers.)

SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER
— ‘Boomer Hottie’ Brooker invites all to the Age March – Leslie Katz  (DIERSEN: What is your position on age discrimination?  Biden is 74 years old.  How old are you?  I am 68 years old.  My Democrat IRS superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates started to demonize me, to denigrate me, and to condemn me as being old in 1973 when I was 25 because I had failed to make GS-13 (currently $92,632).  I did not make GS-12 (currently $77,899) until 1974 and I did not make GS-13 until I was 38 in 1986.)
http://www.sfexaminer.com/scoop-boomer-hottie-brooker-invites-age-march/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: One night many years ago, Barbara Rose Brooker had a dream — kind of like Martin Luther King Jr.  She was marching, wearing her Joan Crawford-ankle strap platform shoes, and imagining a world where people aren’t judged by their age. About nine months later, she organized the first Age March, a grassroots event in 2010 that brought some 200 participants of all ages to Fort Mason in The City. The 80-year-old San Francisco writer, painter and teacher is eager to talk about the third Age March, which starts at noon Sunday, Dec. 4 at Gough and Union streets, and ends at Union and Fillmore. “We’re going to celebrate age pride and our real ages and fight to end age discrimination,” says Brooker, noting that the issue affects so many aspects of life, from dating to housing to jobs. Brooker, a longtime anti-ageism activist, has experience with such discrimination. She says she’s applied for jobs she’s clearly qualified for, more or less been hired on the phone, then turned away after meeting the prospective employer in person. The author of “The Viagra Diaries,” who coined the phrase “Boomer Hottie” and appeared with Sharon Osbourne on TV, also has been rejected by Hollywood. HBO was slated to make a movie based on “Viagra” with Goldie Hawn, but canned the project after “Sex and the City’s” Darren Star wrote a bad script, Brooker says (and changed the main character’s age from 70 to 51). Brooker, who writes a column called “Boomer In The City” in J, the Bay Area’s Jewish news weekly, says she often meets people, even 25- and 35-year olds in the tech industry, who experience ageism in the workplace. Still, she remains hopeful. “Before I leave this planet, I want this movement to go global,” she says, adding that she has no money and is seeking corporate and governmental support and funding. She says, “Dianne [Feinstein] and Nancy [Pelosi] would love this!” Festivities on Sunday include the rollicking New Orleans’ style Bird Polk St. Second Line Brass Band, which is leading the march, and brief comments from Kaushik Roy of Shanti Project and Mary Eileen Williams, host of radio’s “The Feisty Side of Fifty.” By the way, everything is free, and people of all ages and persuasions are heartily invited to join the fun. Brooker is pleased, too, to report that the San Francisco Police Department waived fees for the event, and is providing a motorcycle lead.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: From filling out forms and writing essays to building a resume and gathering letters of recommendation, applying to college is a rigorous part of high school. But for 16-year-old Bryan Dominguez, the stress is magnified. Unlike many of his peers at Buffalo Grove High School, he doesn’t have anyone at home who’s been through the process. The son of Mexican immigrants and the oldest of four children, Dominguez, of Wheeling, will be the first in his family to go to college. “The whole concept of college is very confusing in general to me and my parents,” he said. “All I know is my one goal in life is to go to college. Being the first person in my family … is something I hold very close to my heart.” Recognizing first-generation college students have unique needs, Arlington Heights-based Township High School District 214 developed a field trip for its students to tour two colleges with their parents as part of learning more about the entire process.)

NEW YORK TIMES
— How to Help Working People – Editorial  (DIERSEN: My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always hinted/implied/argued/shouted that the federal government overpaid me and gave me retirement, health insurance, vacation days, sick days, and other benefits that were too generous.  In my defense, a) I earned a job-related bachelor’s degree when I was 21 and job-related master’s degrees when I was 27, 31, and 48, b) I earned job-related professional certifications when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 47, and 48, and c) I earned a job-related professional license when I was 33. Further, many millions have not and will not seek a job with the federal government a) because the pay and benefits are terrible, b) because the advancement opportunities are terrible, c) because they lack required education, work experience, professional certifications, and/or professional licenses, d) because they cannot pass an employment examination, e) because they cannot pass a background investigation, f) because they cannot pass a physical examination, g) because they cannot take the demonization, denigration, and condemnation that comes with being a federal employee or federal retiree, and/or h) because they are Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran and they know that the federal government discriminates against its employees who are Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran.)
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/05/opinion/how-to-help-working-people.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: THE GOVERNMENT AS MODEL EMPLOYER Mr. Obama has issued executive orders to raise pay and improve conditions at companies that do business with the government. The orders, which require contractors to pay employees at least $10.10 an hour, provide paid sick days and report wage-and-safety violations to procurement officials, have value beyond helping federal contract employees. They also set an example for the entire private sector to follow. As president, Mr. Trump will be free to ditch these executive orders. As a private employer, his own approach to low-paid labor indicates that model-employer orders would be the first to go. But in his new job, Mr. Trump will be the nation’s chief executive. Does he want to be known for lowering basic standards?)

http://dailycaller.com/2016/11/30/immigration-is-about-economics-not-a-wall/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: According to new research from Pew Research, there are eight million illegal immigrants working or looking for work in the U.S., totaling five percent of the U.S. work force and the vast majority of the over 11 million illegal immigrants commonly estimated to be in the nation. While many of those immigrants pay taxes, there is a net cost to taxpayers of tens of billions of dollars per year, according to fluctuating estimates. Many of these costs are borne by state and local governments. Building an expensive wall won’t force any illegal immigrants, about 40 percent of whom have overstayed their visas after legally crossing our borders, to leave the country. Enacting an effective E-Verify program enforced by fining businesses who hire illegal immigrants would, by removing the financial incentive of employment. Likewise, Congress and Trump can simultaneously save taxpayers billions of dollars and remove at least some of the financial and legal protections provided to illegal immigrants by pulling funding from more than 200 sanctuary cities that refuse to work with federal customs officials.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly chit-chatted about Chicago with business executives at a party hosted by Dan Goodwin, chairman of Inland Real Estate Group. Kelly sat with Ron Gidwitz, a fundraiser for Donald Trump; investor and philanthropist Muneer Satter; Bill Kunkler, executive vice president of the Crown family’s CC Industries; and Todd Ricketts, the Cubs co-owner who says he’s “honored” to be considered for a position in Trump’s Cabinet. On stage at the Westin Hotel in Lombard, Kelly talked about living in Chicago. Before battling Trump on the air, she was a litigator at the Jones Day law firm in the city. Kelly said she has fond memories of guitar lessons at Old Town School of Folk Music and living in Roscoe Village. But the work wasn’t fulfilling. An episode of “Dr. Phil” hit home. “He said, ‘The only difference between you and someone you envy is that you settled for less.’” A career change followed, and now comes Kelly’s book: “Settle for More.”)

http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20161130/news/161139969/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: A Wheeling native is the driving force behind a new website that identifies professors from Illinois and around the country and claims they “discriminate against conservative students and advance leftist propaganda in the classroom.” The Professor Watchlist is part of Turning Point USA, founded by Charlie Kirk, a 23-year-old Wheeling High School graduate. “It’s no secret that some of America’s college professors are totally out of line,’ Kirk wrote in a recent blog post, adding it is “time to expose them.” The website describes itself as “an aggregated list of pre-existing news stories that were published by a variety of news organizations.” Most of the listings, which include professors’ names and photos, give as attribution campusreform.org, which is run by the conservative Leadership Institute. The Professor Watchlist says it will “continue to fight for free speech and the right for professors to say whatever they wish” but states “students, parents, and alumni deserve to know the specific incidents and names of professors that advance a radical agenda in lecture halls.” Kent State history professor Julio Pino, among those named on the site, told The New York Times the site is “a kind of normalizing of prosecuting professors, shaming professors, defaming professors.” According to the list, Darwin Pagnac, an instructor at Des Moines Area Community College, required students to write about climate-change skeptics and address their motivation and who funds their efforts. Dr. David Pook, a professor at Granite State College in New Hampshire, is listed for saying he helped write Common Core standards in order to end white privilege and “that as a white male in society I am given a lot of privilege that I didn’t earn.” Professors from Northwestern University, DePaul University, Columbia College Chicago, the University of Illinois at Chicago and Loyola University Chicago are on the list. The Professor Watchlist says Columbia College chemistry and environmental science Professor Keith Kostecka called for the demise of the Tea Party and commented that House Speaker Paul Ryan should go kill himself. Kostecka told the Daily Herald “this all came about due to someone stealing my identity (from Facebook) several years ago and posting some terrible thing supposedly stated by me that I had and have no part of. I am on this list due to that very unfortunate series of events.” Northwestern University engineering professor Alan Butz is on the list for statements he made denying the Holocaust took place. Northwestern officials pointed Tuesday to a statement made by University President Henry S. Bienen in 2006, which noted, “There is no question that the Holocaust is a well-documented historical fact,” but Butz, a tenured professor, “is entitled to express his personal views, including on his personal web pages, as long as he does not represent such opinions as views of the university.”)

http://www.mystateline.com/news/kellogg-pulls-ads-from-breitbart
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The cereal brand Kellogg is pulling its advertising from Breitbart News because it disagrees with the right-wing website’s political views. “We regularly work with our media-buying partners to ensure our ads do not appear on sites that aren’t aligned with our values as a company,” Kellogg said in a statement. “We recently reviewed the list of sites where our ads can be placed and decided to discontinue advertising on Breitbart.com. We are working to remove our ads from that site.” That decision comes amid scrutiny over Breitbart’s controversial populist, anti-immigrant worldview, and in the wake of Donald Trump’s decision to appoint former Breitbart executive chairman Steve Bannon as his chief White House strategist. Should other advertisers follow suit, it could lead to financial troubles for the site. But Breitbart says Kellogg is wrong to dismiss its loyal and extensive readership, which it claims totals 45 million unique visitors in the last month. “Breitbart News Network has built an engaged community of over 45 million loyal readers who are also a powerful consumer group that reflects the values of mainstreet America,” the company said in a statement. “Kellogg’s decision to blacklist one of the largest conservative media outlets in America is economic censorship of mainstream conservative political discourse. That is as un-American as it gets.” Breitbart CEO Larry Solov similarly told The Hollywood Reporter that Kellogg was “buying into a false, left-wing narrative that our 45 million readers are deplorables.”)

(FROM THE ARTICLE:  A Chicago-based court will consider arguments that protections under the 1964 Civil Rights Act should expand to cover LGBT workers. The full 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will rehear Indiana teacher Kimberly Hively’s appeal Wednesday. It vacated a ruling by three of its own judges in July that the landmark workplace-discrimination law doesn’t cover sexual-orientation bias. Hively alleges a college didn’t hire her full time because she is a lesbian. The three-judge panel did criticize the lack of sexual-orientation workplace protections, but said they must come from Congress or the U.S. Supreme Court. President-elect Donald Trump is expected to nominate a social conservative to fill a Supreme Court vacancy, making High Court action on the issue uncertain.)

— Continue diversity efforts under Trump, civil servants urged – Joe Davidson (DIERSEN: If the federal workforce looked like America, half its employees would be Republicans; but virtually all federal employees are Democrats.  While I worked for the federal government for almost 30 years, its top priority was a) hiring, retaining, and promoting Democrats, and especially Democrats who were minority, female, and/or younger and b) making way for them by getting rid of its employees who were Republican, and especially those Republicans who were White, male, older, and/or non-veteran.)
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2016/11/28/continue-diversity-efforts-under-trump-civil-servants-urged/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: President-elect Donald Trump was barely mentioned at the White House Summit on Diversity and Inclusion in Government, but he wasn’t ignored. Top career civil servants and Obama administration political appointees gathered Monday to discuss the importance of a federal workforce that looks like America at all levels, just weeks before the new president, who was overwhelmingly rejected by voters of color, takes office. Trump gained political notoriety by fronting a racist birth certificate campaign to delegitimize Barack Obama, the first black president. Trump then ran a campaign that started with bashing Mexicans and was tarred by his vulgar misogyny. It speaks volumes that he was backed by the Ku Klux Klan, an American Nazi leader, and hailed with Nazi salutes, even as he rejected their support. With that context the summit, planned before his electoral college victory, took on even greater significance. No one was openly critical of Trump during the morning plenary sessions. That would have been impolitic, particularly given the graciousness of the president and first lady toward the incoming occupants of the White House. Indeed, participants seemed to expect the diversity effort to continue under Trump, despite his actions and statements, because it is “imperative,” in the words of acting office of personnel management director Beth Cobert. “The bottom line is simple,” she said in terms Trump can appreciate. “We cannot afford to leave talent and resources on the table.” Yet Trump’s reputation provides good reason for trepidation, as some speakers alluded to — if only obliquely. “Given the nature of this campaign on this issue of diversity and inclusion, I’m sure that there is more than the usual amount of concern and questions,” said Shaun Donovan, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director. That is “all the more reason,” he added, that career officials “should be thinking about how you step up, how you join together in the coming months and years to make sure that this issue gets carried on.” Carrying on efforts to expand federal workforce diversity after Obama’s departure was a repeated message at the summit. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, deputy secretary of energy, said “the work we have begun to date has to be extended across administrations” and how deeply disappointing it would be if that work was “lost or dropped.” Although Gilbert Sandate, chair of the Coalition for Fairness for Hispanics in Government, said the Obama administration has had “inconsistent, spotty success in advancing diversity,” he also praised the president for establishing “one of the most ambitious, multipronged, systematic efforts to institutionalize hiring excellence in government.” The summit grew from Obama’s 2011 Executive Order “establishing a coordinated government-wide initiative to promote diversity and inclusion in the federal workforce.” Sandate does not expect similar efforts under Trump. “Trump’s stated and known views about diversity and inclusion in general … do not bode well for a government workforce that looks like America anytime soon,” said Sandate, who was not at the summit. “I’m afraid the challenge under the Trump administration will be to dig in and fight to hold onto the diversity and inclusion gains made thus far, lest they be quickly eroded or eliminated entirely.” Cobert, who this year said that “one of the most challenging barriers to diversity and inclusion is unconscious bias,” cited three examples of “affirmative steps” taken by the administration “to build a diverse workforce”: In November, the federal government “exceeded the president’s goal of hiring 100,000 people with disabilities into the federal workforce over five years.” The Agriculture Department’s use of “blind applications” that don’t include the names of candidates helped increase the percentage of women in its Senior Executive Service (SES) to 39 percent, an increase of almost 50 percent. The Federal Aviation Administration’s “concerted effort to broaden the recruitment effort” led to a significant increase in job offers to Hispanic candidates and women. “These are examples of real progress,” Cobert said in prepared remarks. True. Yet these success stories also tell us how far away parity remains because of the racism, sexism and implicit bias that makes real inclusion an elusive goal. Female senior executives, for example, remain well below their percentage of the general population at the Agriculture Department and across government. The FAA’s efforts resulted in 28 percent of job offers to women, although women hold up half the sky, as Mao Zedong reminded us. Governmentwide, women were 34.4 percent of the SES workforce in fiscal 2015. The Hispanic-Latino category was a minuscule 2.9 percent, according to an OPM report. The percentage of African American senior executives, however, has increased considerably during the Obama years. In 2008, before he took office, black employees were 8.2 percent of the SES. That had increased to 11.3 in 2015. Without mentioning the president-elect, Sherwood-Randall capsulized the call for civil servants to continue the fight for greater diversity under Trump with this simple directive: “Speak truth to power.”)

CHICAGO TRIBUNE
— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Anti-Trumps say Trump’s claim that ‘millions of people’ voted illegally for Clinton is bogus.  How many illegals are registered to vote in America, in Illinois, in your county, in your township/ward, in your municipality, and in your precinct?  How many of them voted in the November 8, 2016 election?  How many of them voted for Clinton?  Will the Democrats ask the Democrats who run GAO to investigate and answer those questions?

— Your social media ranting could sink your job prospects – Brian J. O’Connor  (DIERSEN: By searching the internet, what “negative” things could employers find about you?  They could easily find the following “negative” things about me: baptized, raised, and confirmed as a Missouri Synod Lutheran; conservative; Republican; American; White; male; old (born in 1949); non-poor; gun owner; German American; draft avoider; ancestors have been in America since the 1840s; my Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, did not promote me beyond GS-13, kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forced me to take an $18,459 pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980; my Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, they disallowed my education deductions, and they disallowed my partial day per diem claims; my Democrat Post Office superiors forced me resign in 1969 and disallowed my sick leave requests; I have filed lawsuits; etc.)
http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/success/tca-your-social-media-ranting-could-sink-your-job-prospects-20161118-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Did things get a little heated on your social media feed after the recent election? Be careful. It could prevent you from getting hired. Donald Trump got the top job in America despite his penchant for shooting from the lip on Twitter, but other job seekers aren’t so lucky. More and more, an ill-tempered tweet or a crude Facebook rant can disqualify you from a job. According to an April survey by the job site CareerBuilder, 60 percent of employers comb social networking sites to research job candidates. Of those, 46 percent said they’d reject a candidate if they found “provocative” photos, videos or information; 43 percent object to information about drinking or drugs; and 33 percent said they’d toss a candidate for “discriminatory comments related to race, religion, gender, etc.” An offensive social media post can not only keep you out of a job, it can also cost you the one you have, of course. Just last month in Georgia, Jane Wood Allen, a Forsyth County Schools paraprofessional, was canned after a Facebook post in which she called first lady Michelle Obama “a gorilla.”)

http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20161128/news/161129138/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Political data analyst Scott Kennedy recently did a deep dive of Illinois election results and found, among other tidbits, that even though Republican Illinois Comptroller Leslie Munger of Lincolnshire lost statewide to Democratic Chicago City Clerk Susana Mendoza, she outperformed Republicans at the top of the ticket — including President-elect Donald Trump and departing U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk of Highland Park — everywhere but in southern Illinois. Munger’s performance was particularly strong in the collar counties, where she took an average of 51 percent of the vote, compared to Trump’s 41 percent and Kirk’s 45 percent. In suburban Cook County, Munger took 39 percent of the vote, while Trump took 30 percent and Kirk took 33 percent. For more on the election, check out Kennedy’s site, www.illinoiselectiondata.com.)

— Breaking down the blue-collar workforce – Chris Gelbach  (DIERSEN: Are/were you a member of the blue-collar workforce?  I was 1964-1972.  While you were a member of the blue-collar workforce, did you hold jobs that minorities and women could have held, that is, did you take jobs away from minorities and from women?  I did.  I washed dishes 1964-1966; I cleaned golf shoes, chipped slag, and pumped gasoline in 1966; I delivered mail 1966-1969; I worked on an automobile assembly line and as a security guard in 1970; and I pumped gasoline 1970-1972. (FROM THE ARTICLE: In 2013, the working class accounted for nearly two-thirds of the country’s entire civilian labor force between the ages of 18 and 64. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, people of color will become a majority of the American working class in 2032, well before the overall U.S. population becomes “majority-minority” in 2043. As a June 2016 Economic Policy Institute report on the topic by Wilson notes, the wages of all gender, racial and ethnic groups have failed to keep pace with the nation’s economy-wide productivity growth between 1979 and 2014. The hardest-hit workers in this respect have been Latino men, who have seen their hourly wages decrease by an inflation-adjusted 9.8 percent over this period. Second were black men, whose wages have decreased by 7.2 percent. White males, in contrast, have seen their wages decrease by a significantly lower 3.1 percent over the same period. Working-class wages for women, meanwhile, trail those of working-class men across all ethnic groups. White working-class women make 81 percent of the median hourly wage of white working-class men. But even here, race supersedes gender to some degree, with black men making 78 percent of what white men do, and Latino men making 76 percent.)

— Hypocrite Megyn Kelly: ‘I Have No Political Ideology. I’m A Soulless Lawyer At Heart’ – MICHAEL VAN DER GALIEN
https://pjmedia.com/trending/2016/11/27/hypocrite-megyn-kelly-i-have-no-political-ideology-im-a-soulless-lawyer-at-heart/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Sure, Megyn: “I am not an ideologue. I always laugh because when I was coming up the ranks at Fox News, the left thought I was always in the tank for the Republicans because they always see you through a certain prism. And then during this year of Donald Trump, now the right thinks I’m in the tank for the Never Trumpers or the liberals. But the truth is, I’m not in the tank, I’m not swimming in the tank at all. I’m off to the side of the tank. I don’t even have my bathing suit on. I’m just watching the tank…I have no political ideology. I’m a soulless lawyer at heart. I can see both sides of every argument.”  All those who believe Megyn, please raise your hand. No one. Ah. That’s what I thought. I watched the debates and I’ve watched quite a lot of  “The Kelly File.” As such, I know what her ideology is: establishmentarianism. That’s what Megyn Kelly is all about. She loves the establishment of both parties. That’s clear from the way she approaches them … and that’s also one of the major reasons why Rupert Murdoch loves her as much as he does; after all, he too is an establishmentarian. The only reason Fox News eventually decided to support Trump is that they realized they couldn’t bring him down. When you can’t beat them, join them.)

NEW YORK POST
— The left’s lunatic ‘hate’ hysteria – Editorial (DIERSEN: Who promotes hatred of Trump and hatred of Trump’s supporters in your precinct, in your municipality, in your township/ward, in your county, in Illinois, in America, and across the world?)
http://nypost.com/2016/11/27/the-lefts-lunatic-hate-hysteria/
(FROM THE EDITORIAL: Just because President-elect Donald Trump has unequivocally disavowed and condemned white nationalists and alt-right types who cheered his victory, don’t expect the left and its media allies to end their hysteria about the orgy of “hate” they claim is sweeping America. Trump made no bones about where he stands: “I don’t want to energize the group,” he told The New York Times. “I’m not looking to energize them . . . and I disavow the group. Disavow and condemn.” That prompted some alt-righters to complain that they’d been “bamboozled by The Donald.” What’s really driving this is the left’s desperate denial of the simple fact that Trump emerged victorious by winning over people who’d previously voted for Barack Obama. If you won’t admit that the left no longer speaks to working-class whites, then it’s easier to blame “a basket of deplorables,” as Jason Riley notes in The Wall Street Journal. So they point to opportunists like ex-Klan leader David Duke or white nationalist Richard Spencer as evidence that a new wave of intolerance elected Trump. Bull. Spencer attracted barely 200 people at his conference, with its made-for-video “Hail Trump” salutes. Yet the media responded slavishly with wall-to-wall coverage. Duke realizes that anything positive he says about Trump will be covered – so he keeps praising him. That such “watchdogs” as the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center have bought in to this hysteria proves they’ve become blatant partisans. (The ADL seems unbothered by the anti-Israel record of Rep. Keith Ellison, who’s bidding to chair the Democratic Party.) The left is determined to undermine Trump’s legitimacy, so expect to see this nonsense continue. Just realize that it bears no resemblance to reality.)

INQUISITER
— Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, Megyn Kelly, And Sean Hannity Rule November Cable News Ratings – Daryl Deino
http://www.inquisitr.com/3749369/fox-news-bill-oreilly-megyn-kelly-and-sean-hannity-rule-november-cable-news-ratings/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Fox News was easily the ratings winner during one of the most divisive election months in recent history. For the month of November (ratings are averaged up until November 22 at Showbuzz Daily), Bill O’Reilly comes in first place with an average of 4.03 million viewers a night, while Megyn Kelly comes in second place with an average of 3.37 million a night. Sean Hannity, Fox News’ rising star, has averaged 2.94 million. It’s important to note that on some nights, these stars didn’t even appear on their shows. This especially rings true when talking about Bill O’Reilly. The last time O’Reilly hosted The O’Reilly Factor before heading off on a well-earned vacation, Bill talked about Trump’s closed-door meeting with New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. “As you may know, the nation’s largest town falling apart literally with construction projects clogging almost every road in Manhattan, beggars all over the place and a defiant mayor who says he will not cooperate with the federal government on illegal immigration. Something he told Mr. Trump today,” O’Reilly angrily said before showing a video clip where de Blasio says that NYC and other cities will do all they can to protect their residents and make sure that families are not torn apart. Bill O’Reilly then handed the segment over to Fox News correspondent Doug McKelway, who said that the mayor was not surprised to see dozens of TV cameras and 25 reporters because de Blasio wanted people to know he will fight Donald Trump tooth and nail on the issue. However, de Blasio did tell reporters that the talk was productive, and he realizes that the ball is now in Donald Trump’s court. Megyn Kelly has dealt with the issue of illegal immigration on The Kelly File this month, but Kelly seemed more interested in seeing if Donald Trump would follow through on his promise to pursue criminal charges against Hillary Clinton. “For months on the campaign trail, Mr. Trump attacked his rival for conducting the highly classified business of the United States over a private, unsecured email server — all while she was Secretary of State,” Kelly said at the very beginning of her show this past Tuesday. Then, Megyn Kelly played a tape where Donald Trump said Hillary was weak, pathetic, and should be in jail for what she did with her emails. Another tape showed Donald Trump discussing the issue with Anderson Cooper on CNN. Trump told Cooper that everybody knows Hillary should be in prison. As Megyn Kelly noted, Trump’s supporters screamed “Lock her up!” at many of his rallies, including one in Pennsylvania. Kelly had Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer on, and he said that Trump’s decision was disturbing. He believes Trump should not be talking about this at all, and it’s unethical for a president-elect to try and interrupt an FBI investigation. However, Congressman Sean Duffy told Megyn Kelly that he disagreed since the Clinton investigation has been played out as much as possible. Sean Hannity wasn’t happy with Trump’s decision either. But he has been more upset with the way the mainstream press has been treating Trump and actually called on the president-elect to boycott the media. Politico reported the story on Wednesday. “Fox News commentator Sean Hannity said that until journalists admit to colluding with Hillary Clinton’s campaign, President-elect Donald Trump should reconsider granting traditional access to reporters.” Trump can do this and speak directly to you, the America people, without having his words twisted and taken out of context. Why not do that?” Hannity asked, referring to the fact Trump put out his own video announcing his executive actions in his first 100 days in office. Of course, Sean Hannity suffered a lot of backlash in the media. But the anger against Hannity is what is propelling him very close to beating Megyn Kelly in the ratings. Do you think Sean Hannity can beat Megyn Kelly in December? Let us know your thoughts and predictions in the comments section.)

Would they stress that only 137 in my precinct voted for Trump, while 211 voted for Clinton?  Would they provide Trump with a list of those who have worked the hardest to stop me from sending out GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails and to stop everyone from reading those emails?  Would they provide Trump with a list of all those who read GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails, but who fail/refuse to return my phone calls?  Would they drag out all those who I have sued and/or who I might sue?  Would they provide Trump with a list of all those “Republican” activists, candidates, elected officials, party leaders, major donors, political consultants, etc. who do not want me to know about their events or other activities, do not want me to promote their events or other activities, do not want me to attend their events, and who do not want me to report on their events?  Would they stress all the links to articles that are critical of Trump that I have included in GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails?  Would they stress that I am no longer the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman, a Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee member, the Milton Township Republican Central Committee webmaster, an Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member, an American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board member, a GAO employee, etc.?)
http://www.decaturdaily.com/opinion/columnists/popularity-contest-with-trump/article_e8fd4557-c5a4-5aa4-a9a0-95edb4d440e5.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Journalists need to recognize we’re not going to win a popularity contest with Trump, and we shouldn’t try. Trump is not going to be appeased by friendlier coverage. He campaigned against the media, and he will continue to use the media as a foil. His party controls Congress, and conservatives will soon control the Supreme Court. If he can discredit the media, he’ll remove another check to his power. Our third president, Thomas Jefferson, famously remarked that “were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.” Our 45th president would clearly prefer the former. He has shut out news organizations, including The Post, whose coverage he dislikes. He has threatened to restrict First Amendment press freedoms. Pursuing public affection is a fool’s errand. The profession was never held in high public esteem. And the recent decline in approval is due entirely to Trump’s bashing.)

http://chicago.suntimes.com/politics/brown-irs-agent-an-answer-to-prosecutors-prayers/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Political corruption will never be eliminated in Chicago, but some people will tell you nobody ever did more to slow it down than William Witkowski. Those who are old enough should recognize the names of Witkowski’s investigative targets: Illinois Gov. Otto Kerner, powerhouse Ald. Thomas Keane, Attorney General William Scott, Judge Reginald Holzer and John Cardinal Cody. Others will recognize the lawyers who gained prominence prosecuting them: Jim Thompson, Sam Skinner, Tyrone Fahner, Jeremy Margolis and Scott Turow. But very few are familiar with the former IRS agent whose extraordinary investigative skills made those cases — and in the process made him a legend in certain circles. Witkowski died Nov. 13 from complications of multiple sclerosis. He was 74. Never one to take bows during his lifetime, Witkowski will have to suffer these accolades in silence. “Bill Witkowski was the single best investigator I have ever known,” said veteran investigative reporter Edward Pound, formerly of the Chicago Sun-Times. I’m quoting Pound here because many people regard him as the single best investigator ever to work in my business, and it takes one to know one. But everyone who spoke to me about Witkowski offered the same sort of superlative assessment without reservation. “We wouldn’t have been able to do the prosecutions we did without him,” said Fahner, the prosecutor who convicted Keane and went on to become Illinois Attorney General and later a successful lawyer with Mayer Brown. In the 1970s and 1980s, it was the IRS that did most of the heavy lifting on political corruption in Illinois. And in that circle, Witkowski gained a reputation as the alpha dog. Many recall his unassuming style. A large man with a flat top brush cut, Witkowski looked more the part of the neighborhood guy he was than anybody’s notion of an IRS agent.)

— Trump’s Walk of Fame star gets 24-hour security
http://www.fox32chicago.com/news/219637652-story
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Donald Trump is getting a lot of security obviously now that he’s President-elect, but did you know his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is also getting a lot of security. The star is all repaired and drawing big crowds after being vandalized last month. Now, it has 24/7 protection. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has placed three barricades around the star, and two officers are on foot patrol along with a squad car nearby at all times. The LAPD days this monitoring does not cost extra for the city, since officers are always patrolling the busy area. There is no word on when this presidential protection will cease. This all comes about after a vandal hacked out the star’s gold-colored name and television logo last month. The culprit, James Lambert Otis, told news media outlets he originally intended to “remove” the entire star from the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard, auction it off in New York and give the money to the nearly dozen women who allege they were groped or sexually mistreated by Trump. But Otis said he was unable to accomplish the feat.)

She revealed that she continued to track their whereabouts after the festival was over. Maude, 18, is a freshman in Northwestern’s School of Communication, according to a university spokesman. THE BLAZE

How soon, if not already, will they display signs that say the following are not wanted: Trump supporters, Protestants, conservatives, Republicans, Americans, Whites, males, older people, rich people, gun owners, German-Americans, draft avoiders, and/or those whose ancestors have been in America longer than their ancestors?)
http://www.theblaze.com/news/2016/11/24/tucker-carlson-slams-business-owner-who-refuses-to-work-with-ignorant-trump-supporters/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Mathew Blanchfield, CEO of the Albuquerque-based internet marketing firm 1st in SEO, went on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday to defend his announcement that those who support President-elect Donald Trump are “not welcome” at his company. And the conversation between Carlson and the business owner was brutal. “If you are a Republican, voted for Donald Trump or support Donald Trump, in any manner, you are not welcome at 1st in SEO and we ask you to leave our firm,” Blanchfield’s original letter read. During the bewildering discussion on Fox, Carlson asked the CEO why he would say something like that. Blanchfield argued he is standing on “moral principle” and that he is intolerant of bigotry, racism, sexism and fascism. The New Mexico entrepreneur went on to draw comparisons between Nazi Germany and the United States under a Trump administration. “When you say ‘fascism,’ I mean, you don’t really believe that? If you believed that Trump was a fascist dictator, then you would organize an actual resistance to him. You would be Dietrich Bonhoeffer, you would be fighting against him for real,” Carlson told the Blanchfield. “[W]hy wouldn’t you take up arms against him? If you really believe the country is being taken over by someone you compare to Hitler, then that’s — I mean — that’s like the worst thing that could ever happen.” Blanchfield, who throughout the interview noted the number of death threats he’s received, told the Fox anchor that their discussion was his “resistance.” Clearly becoming frustrated by the interaction, Carlson told Blanchfield he is “belittling historic reality” by comparing Trump to Hilter. “Being rude to news anchors who make $3 million a year is not the same as rounding up an entire ethnic group and killing them, or invading Poland,” the Fox host said. “For you to say that really does diminish actual historical crimes,” Carlson added. In the end, Carlson shot back at Blanchfield, telling him he’s “on a moral vanity trip like I’ve never seen.” “Has it ever occurred to you that every rich, famous person, fashionable person, in America agrees with you?” Carlson asked. “That you’re taking no risk at all? That, in fact, people like you are celebrated in every American newspaper, at award ceremonies? I mean, come on.”)
