I spent many hours a) putting 800 mailing labels and 400 return address labels on 400 DuPage County GOP envelopes, b) putting them into walk order, c) stuffing them with an unmarked sample ballot, a Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) Voter Guide, and campaign literature the five candidates who provided MTRO with their literature, d) dividing them into 5 batches, and e) hand-delivering them. I used my photocopier, paper, and ink to copy the unmarked sample ballot 400 times 2-sided back-to-back. If I spent 6 minutes getting each envelope ready, that would be 40 hours. (FROM THE AFORESAID DAILY HERALD ARTICLE: DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek made it clear Monday that federal immigration agents are not welcome at polling places. She announced her office has set up a special phone number, (630) 407-5634, for people to report if they see U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or other federal agents at or near a polling place. “Today, my office has a message for the voters of DuPage County and for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, better known as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and that message is that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will not be allowed to interfere with DuPage County elections in any way,” Kaczmarek said at a news conference. She said it is a federal crime for military or federal agents to interfere in elections or intimidate voters. “Those crimes will not be tolerated in DuPage County. Not on my watch,” Kaczmarek said. “ICE, go away. Do not even try. You will fail.” Early voting began several weeks ago at five sites and expanded to 24 on Monday. When asked if immigration agents had been seen at any of the sites, Kaczmarek said, “No.” She said it is a myth that non-citizens vote on Election Day. Kaczmarek also reminded voters that if they feel unsafe at a polling place on the day of the March 17 primary election, they can go to another of the 248 polling places because DuPage residents can vote anywhere in the county. For me, since 2000, it has been far too many Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct who have blamed their defeats a) on me, b) on what I have done as the GOPUSA Illinois Editor since 2000, and c) on what I did as an Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member 2003-2007, the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman 2005-2012, and the Republican fundraiser for Wheaton Independence Day parades and fireworks 2005-2019. Most commonly, they hint/imply/argue/shout that I painted them as being more conservative than they wanted to be painted, and that caused them to lose. According to them, I am far too conservative, and because of that, the more that I do to help them, the more votes that they will not get. Most commonly, they blame articles that I linked to in my newsletters that they do not like. Because Democrat and RINO leaders have ever-increasingly painted me so negatively, Republican candidates ever-increasingly make it clear that they do not want my help to get elected. Sadly, some Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct have taken averse actions against me to get more votes. Comments? – Dave Diersen

They would never have promoted me to GS-13 if the GAO manager who had arranged for my transfer from IRS in 1980 had not gotten back into power and assigned me to audits of IRS in 1986 and promoted me in 1986. Because he did that, my Democrat GAO superiors forced him to retire in 1987. If I had been a Democrat, minority, female, and/or veteran, they would have promoted me to GS-14, then GS-15, and then Senior Executive Service before I was 40 in 1988.

At the Post Office, they disallowed my sick leave requests in 1968 and 1969 and forced me to resign in 1969. At IRS, they disallowed my travel vouchers in 1974, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, and never promoted me beyond GS-12. At GAO, they forced me to take a $23,699 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS in 1980, delayed my promotions and never promoted me beyond GS-13, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance, and forced me to retire when I was 49 in 1997.
