(FROM THE ARTICLE: Many major U.S. firms such as Coca Cola, McDonald’s, Disney, American Express, Bank of America, Lowe’s, and Pfizer faced many complaints during 2021 accusing them of forcing their employees to receive training on issues associated with leftist ideologies such as “Critical Race Theory” and gender policies. There have even been allegations of a preference for hiring black people as a policy of some firms. Major U.S.-based companies had faced legal issues when many whistleblowers revealed that over the past year, they had been forced to undergo training on, among other issues, the highly controversial Critical Race Theory (CRT). As its name indicates, it is just a theory, that is to say, that it is not something proven, and it is also wholly loaded with a strong leftist ideology. In short, these companies have been forcing their employees to receive a kind of leftist indoctrination to keep their jobs, according to the allegations. One of the issues they sought to “teach” to the employees is to know how to differentiate the supposedly “marginalized” personnel within the organization and place them above the “privileged” personnel; this is a typical analysis of the Marxist theory of organizations where they always seek to fragment and divide between oppressors and oppressed, victims and victimizers. This ends up generating controversy, instability, and suspicion among co-workers. In addition, much emphasis was placed on the issue of “decolonizing” the minds of workers and combating aspects of a supposed “white supremacist culture,” such as perfectionism, individualism, and objectivity. These ideas have their theoretical foundation in CRT, a framework that involves deconstructing aspects of current society to uncover alleged systemic racism beneath the surface. In this regard, current and former American Express employees told Fox News in a series of interviews that the imposition of this indoctrination began after the assassination of George Floyd in May 2020, but that the “awakening” training came to light in 2021. In February 2021, McDonald’s announced that hiring too many white men would cause senior executives who did so to lose bonuses, now prioritizing women and “historically underrepresented groups” for top corporate positions. An article published by HumanEvents.com writer Celine Ryan questioned this system and called it “McQuotas.” “But even those who place value on the concepts of ‘diversity, equity and inclusion’ have repeatedly pointed out that these types of hiring quotas are misguided at best, and empty performances at worst, with unintended negative consequences,” Ryan wrote. The multinational effectively increased the percentages of employees it now prioritizes when hiring, without parameters such as demographic proportionality in each country. According to Fox News, Coca-Cola also generated a strong reaction when it was discovered that in its employee training instructions, it included a rule that participants “try to be less white” in their behavior. In March, Manhattan Institute senior fellow Chris Rufo revealed whistleblower documents from the Walt Disney Company’s “Reimagine Tomorrow” diversity and inclusion program. The program includes multiple “anti-racism” training modules. This type of training usually results in what is called “affirmative action,” where the supposed “oppressors” end up becoming the oppressed because of accusations that are not necessarily true.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: As a case in point, District 20 of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) recently adopted a rule that gives more voting powers to non-white teachers than to white teachers. In a series of slides explaining the change to “weighted voting,” union leadership claimed that the votes of non-white teachers must equal at least 50 percent of the total votes cast. The slides give a hypothetical example where teachers are voting on whether or not to recognize Diwali as an official holiday. This hypothetical scenario posits 20 voters, 16 of whom are white and 4 are non-white. Under the weighted voting system, the votes of the 4 non-white teachers would receive equal value as those of the 16 white teachers. Thus, even if most white teachers vote against recognizing Diwali, the motion wouldn’t be defeated if most of the non-white teachers voted in favour. This voting scheme allegedly “allows for further conversation and growth together” for all the teachers. If this sounds absurd, that’s because it is. Assigning votes based on race is the antithesis of racial equality. Not only that, but it also forces teachers to identify themselves based on their race. Instead of having their opinions considered based on merit, everything is filtered through a racial lens.)

He introduced a recent UPI story about Republicans’ views on the drought and wildfires by saying: “Democrats blame everything bad, including bad weather, on Republicans, especially on Republicans who are conservative, White, male, older, non-poor and non-veteran.” And talking of a New York Times article about a photographer arrested while on assignment in the Bronx, Diersen wrote that since 2000, he has been thrown out of, barred from, or not advised of news conferences “by Democrats, Democrat plants, RINOs (Republicans in name only), their operatives, and their dupes.” Thus, if you don’t want to read some very pointed comments, you may not want to go to gopillinois.com. But you would be missing a treasure of links to the day’s news and opinion. Diersen, 63, is a retired federal employee who became the Illinois editor of a national GOP website in 2000, and since 2004 has put out his own Illinois compilation every day. There’s usually about 50 articles daily, he says. He’s generally up by 3 a.m. He says he spends at least 10 hours a day on this passion of his, with no pay, and has put out links to more than 117,000 articles. As his comments above hinted, party regulars don’t always greet his work with relish. He includes dissident voices within the GOP tent, and some whose credibility is questionable. But he puts it all out there. He’s a GOP precinct committeeman, and he believes in people having information. He also wants to help elect Republican candidates who “will defend and advance the party’s platform.” The site makes available plenty of Diersen history, too, including how his “liberal Democrat superiors,” in his view, forced him to take early retirement at 49 from the U.S. General Accounting Office, “because of his opposition to race and gender based preference and his participation in a class action lawsuit” on that subject.
