Ryan withdrew after that extremely big scandal came out and the Illinois Republican Party State Central Committee replaced Ryan with Alan Keyes. If Ryan’s extremely big scandal had come out before the primary election, Oberweis, Rauschenberger, or McKenna would have won and everything would have been different. Oberweis, Rauschenberger, or McKenna might have defeated Obama in the general election. By way of contrast, Blair Hull might very well have won the Democrat primary if Obama’s campaign had not disclosed a far less serious marital issue that Hull had. I was involved in the aforesaid because of my roles as the GOPUSA Illinois Editor, an Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member, the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois Vice Chairman, the Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) webmaster and a fundraising committee member, and an American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board member. The remarks were also criticized by Greene. Graham said the remarks were “abhorrent” and noted Loomer also has made “disturbing” comments about Republicans. “I think that the president would serve himself well to make sure this doesn’t become a bigger story,” Graham told HuffPost. Loomer has previously described Islam as a “cancer.” She was banned from ride-hailing apps Uber and Lyft in 2017 after posting online that she “never want[s] to support another Islamic immigrant driver.” She was banned from then-Twitter after a series of anti-Muslim posts and was reinstated after Elon Musk purchased the platform. Democrats, including the White House, blasted Loomer’s recent comments and argued Trump’s association with her should be a red flag for the American people. (FROM THE ARTICLE: 2. Protecting Employees Making Reproductive Health Decisions. Doubling down on protections for reproductive freedom, Illinois added a new category to its list of protected groups under the IHRA. Illinois already has a large set of protected groups. Besides the federally protected groups, which include race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin and mental and physical disability, Illinois also protects employees based on their ancestry, sexual orientation, including gender-related identification, pregnancy, military status, unfavorable military discharge, order of protection status, marital status, citizenship status, work authorization status, language, conviction record and arrest records. Starting on January 1, 2025, Illinois will also prohibit discrimination against employees based on their “reproductive health decisions,” including the use of contraception, fertility or serialization care, assisted reproductive technologies, miscarriage management care, healthcare related to the continuation or termination or pregnancy or prenatal, intranasal or postnatal care. 3. Protecting Employees with Family Responsibilities. Illinois also amended the IHRA (effective January 1, 2025) to prohibit discrimination, harassment or retaliation against employees based on their “family responsibilities” or providing “personal care” to a “family member.” “Personal care” includes an employee providing transportation to or attending a covered family member’s medical appointment or even staying home from work to care for a sick child or parent. This amendment expressly does not require employers to accommodate an employee’s request for time, etc. to provide this personal care or require employers to modify their existing policies and rules. It simply restricts employers from treating these employees differently because of their family responsibilities to provide personal care to family members.)
