They stressed that I was a draft-avoiding non-veteran conservative Republican who opposed patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation. They stressed that I was 100% German national origin, a Missouri Synod Lutheran, and someone whose ancestors had been in America since the 1840s. They hinted/implied/argued that IRS should NOT have a) hired me in 1971, b) promoted me in 1972, 1973, or 1974, or c) let me work there for almost 9 years. They hinted/implied/argued that the Post Office should NOT have a) hired me in 1966 or b) let me work there for almost 3 years. They were disgusted, outraged, and beyond furious that I transferred in with almost 12 years of federal seniority, 30 unused vacation days, and more than 100 unused sick days. They hinted/implied/argued/shouted that legislative branch employees were far superior to executive branch employees. They stressed that I had been a union member while I worked for the Post Office and for IRS and that I had filed grievances. They dismissed, belittled, badmouthed, demonized, denigrated, and condemned what I had learn by a) passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, b) almost completing the requirements for a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul, c) earning an MBA from Loyola in 1976, and d) earning a bachelor’s degree in management from NIU in 1970. They painted me and my wife as being undeservedly filthy rich DINKs (dual income, no kids). They stressed that we owned 1017 East Harrison in Wheaton, owned and rented out 774-5 Sunset Court in University Park, and owned a 1972 Corvette, a 1978 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale, and a 1978 Chevy Chevette. They stressed my wife’s salary and her frequent business trips to luxury resorts that could and did accompany her on. They hinted/implied/argued/shouted that my parents were undeservedly filthy rich because they sent me to Trinity Lutheran Grade School in Crete 1953-1961 and then to Hope Lutheran Grade School in Park Forest 1961-1962 to stay with the Missouri Synod. An “invader,” as defined by Merriam Webster, is one who “trespasses, encroaches, and infringes upon another’s property.” The United States is our collective home and those who come here without seeking and gaining permission to enter our collective home are no different than an uninvited guest who enters our personal home to take up residence without permission. As a legal immigrant brought to the United States from Germany at a young age by my parents, I and many legal immigrants who waited sometimes years to obtain the necessary visa for entry resent those who merely walk across our border and claim to be “immigrants.” An immigrant is one who seeks and gains approval to enter, while invaders disrespect our laws put in place by “We the people.” Currently the Democratic Party, under the leadership of Tom Perez, a Marxist, and Keith Ellison, a Muslim Brotherhood operative, have been campaigning for open borders. They have resisted President Trump’s border enforcement, and many others are now calling for the abolishment of ICE (Immigration Custom Enforcement). One only has to look at crime statistics committed by illegals to see a glimpse of what a borderless United States holds for us. The Daily Wire reported that 92 percent of confirmed aliens in Federal Bureau of Prisons custody are illegals and that 97 percent of confirmed aliens in the U.S. Marshal Service custody are illegals. Furthermore, 21 percent of those convicted of non-immigration crimes were non-citizens and 2.5 times their share of the population. The Government Accountability Office reported in 2011 that there were 251,000 criminal aliens in federal, state, and local prisons. Those aliens represented nearly three million criminal offenses, which ranged from homicide and kidnappings to drugs, burglary, and larceny. These criminal offenses would not have occurred here had these criminals been prevented from gaining a foothold into our home and thousands of lives would not have been lost.)
