(FROM THE ARTICLE: League of Women Voters targeted two adjacent precincts – 21 and 50 – from the March 2014 primary election where voter turnout was 7 percent. Since 2014, DuPage County increased the number of precincts in Naperville Township from 69 to 97 and those precincts were split in two. In order to make an accurate comparison, the students and league members canvassed precincts 21 and 85 (formerly precinct 21) and precincts 50 and 91 (formerly precinct 50). Kenny said door-to-door contact made a difference. Turnout was 15 percent in precinct 21 and 13 percent in precinct 85. That area — roughly bounded on the west by Route 59, north by Jefferson Avenue, and Ogden Avenue on the south and East — includes the Grand Reserve of Naperville subdivision. Just to the south of Ogden Avenue in precincts 50 and 91, 14 percent and 15 percent of registered voters went to the polls respectively.)

NEW YORK TIMES
— Ryan Reinstates House Chaplain After Priest Decided to Fight Dismissal – Sheryl Gay Stolberg and Elizabeth Dias (DIERSEN: What if I had NOT succumbed to threats from my Democrat GAO superiors and taken their early retirement “offer” in 1997 when I was 49 years old?)
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/03/us/politics/house-chaplain-resignation.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: “From the first day he entered the chamber, Father Conroy has done a superb job tending to his flock with wisdom and kindness,” said Representative Bill Pascrell Jr. in a quickly released statement after the chaplain’s letter came to light. “The feeble excuses offered by Speaker Ryan are merely a pretext to cover for the whims of extremists in his caucus. Father Conroy is standing tall and I stand with him.” Mr. Ryan moved quietly in April to remove the chaplain, who submitted his resignation when he was asked to, and said his last day would be May 24. The abrupt dismissal caused an immediate uproar in the House, as Catholic lawmakers of both parties demanded explanation from Mr. Ryan. In a closed-door meeting with Republicans, the speaker said he had received complaints about Father Conroy’s pastoral care, according to several lawmakers who attended.)

WASHINGTON POST
— House chaplain rescinds resignation after furor over Speaker Paul D. Ryan’s decision to force out the Catholic priest (DIERSEN: What if I had NOT succumbed to threats from my Democrat GAO superiors and taken their early retirement “offer” in 1997 when I was 49 years old?)
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2018/05/03/house-chaplain-rescinds-resignation-after-furor-over-speaker-paul-d-ryans-decision-to-force-out-the-catholic-priest/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: In a two-page letter, the Rev. Patrick J. Conroy informed Ryan that he gave in to pressure from the speaker’s staff when he agreed in mid-April to resign, believing that Ryan had the power to fire him, but the chaplain now believes he was pressured into the resignation for lack of cause. “I have never been disciplined, nor reprimanded, nor have I ever heard a complaint about my ministry during my time as House chaplain,” Conroy wrote. Ryan (R-Wis.) had told House Republicans at a closed-door meeting last week that he had received complaints about Conroy about his pastoral style and believed that replacing the Catholic priest was in the best interest of the institution. He said the dismissal was not motivated by Conroy’s political views or a prayer the Jesuit gave in November on the House floor when the chamber was debating a tax bill.)

FORBES
— An Answer To Demographic Pressure: Encourage More Americans To Work – Milton Ezrati (DIERSEN: Ezrati should write a book about how my Democrat superiors in the federal government a) wasted my career, b) forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, and c) assured that I would never get a job appropriate for someone with my work experience, education, professional certifications, and professional license.)
https://www.forbes.com/sites/miltonezrati/2018/05/03/an-answer-to-demographic-pressure-encourage-more-americans-to-work/#5b6fa3703b07
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Since this country’s aging demographics will otherwise leave the existing workforce struggling to support and outsized population of dependent retirees, all potential remedies implicitly look for ways to increase the economy’s available productive talent. Immigration, as described in the last installment, is one obvious answer, though, as that discussion made clear, a complex one. A partial answer might come from lengthening the working lives of the existing population and in persuading a greater proportion of the nation’s women to seek gainful employment. Keeping older workers on the job longer would help in two ways: first by increasing the number of people at work and second by reducing the size of the dependent retired population. Considerable potential exists here. If the average American were to work until 70 instead of 65, the nation could by 2030 have four people at work for every dependent retiree instead of the much more constrained three presently expected by the Census Bureau.)

FEDERAL NEWS RADIO
— Are you and your fellow feds red, blue or puce? – Mike Causey (DIERSEN: What percent of those in your precinct, in your municipality, in your township/ward, in your county, and in Illinois a) hate federal employees, and b) hate federal retirees? I was a federal employee for almost 30 years and I have been a federal retiree for more than 20 years. )
https://federalnewsradio.com/mike-causey-federal-report/2018/05/are-you-and-your-fellow-feds-red-blue-or-puce/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Any way you slice it, the federal family of working civil servants, retirees, spouses, friends and family is huge. It is also very well-educated and spread throughout the country. Everybody’s old enough to vote, and with many good reasons to vote. Think about it: The president is more than POTUS; he is also feds’ CEO. And members of the House and Senate “represent” them but also act as their hard-line board of directors. And both Congress and the White House are seriously looking for ways to cut the payroll of both bodies and costs. They are looking at changes that would have a lifetime — and not good — impact on both current workers and current and future retirees. To some politicians you, wherever-you-are — and not just us here Inside the Beltway — also represent the swamp-that-must-be-drained. That is, unless maybe they know you are living, working, spending and voting in their back yard. Federal/postal workers are a major factor in California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Illinois, Washington state, Colorado, Pennsylvania, New York, North and South Carolina, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio, etc. In many communities the local Veterans Affairs hospital, postal processing facility, federal prison, military installation or IRS center is the primary employer. Some places have all of them. They are true federal centers.)

NATIONAL REVIEW
— What Republicans’ Food-Stamp Bill and Democrats’ Job-Guarantee Plan Have in Common – ROBERT VERBRUGGEN (DIERSEN: According to my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes, the federal government is the “employer of last resort.” So therefore, by definition, all federal employees and all federal retirees are stupid, lazy, and even worse things. In my defense, I became a federal employee in 1971 because Oldsmobile withdrew a job offer that I had accepted saying that Oldsmobile had just agreed to stop hiring Whites to settle an EEOC complaint.)
https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/04/bernie-sanders-job-guarantee-gop-food-stamp-reform-have-in-common/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The most striking difference is the level of compensation they would provide. Under the House GOP plan, someone without a job would need to spend 20–25 hours a week in a training program to get food stamps, which are worth maybe $200 a month — meaning people could be putting in time at $2 an hour, math that even some conservatives blanch at. (That had better be some really valuable job training.) By contrast, as Adam Ozimek notes at Forbes, liberals want a job guarantee that doesn’t just make the government the employer of last resort, but also exerts a tremendous amount of pressure on private-sector companies — which would be forced to compete with “guaranteed” employment. Some plans would pay $15 an hour or so; 41 million people across the country, about a quarter of the labor force, currently work for less than that.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: President Donald Trump and members of his Cabinet have been tracking the caravan of migrants, calling it a threat to the U.S. since it started March 25 in the Mexican city of Tapachula, near the Guatemala border. Attorney General Jeff Sessions called the caravan “a deliberate attempt to undermine our laws and overwhelm our system,” pledging to send more immigration judges to the border to resolve cases if needed. — Congressional town halls: Old-fashioned and inefficient or vital to the fabric of democracy? – Erin Hegarty (DIERSEN: Ever increasingly, at town halls, Democrats make it clear that they want Republicans to get rid of individuals, organizations, companies, governments, and countries that are Trump supporters, Protestant, conservative, patriotic, Republican, American, White, male, older, rich, gun owners, draft avoiders, German American, and/or those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time.)
http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/naperville-sun/news/ct-nvs-town-hall-constituent-meetings-st-0429-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam found himself in the national spotlight last year after critics said he refused to meet with constituents and dodged requests to hold a town-hall style public meeting. Roskam, however, dismissed the traditional in-person format as unproductive and boasted of his ability to reach far more people via convenient telephone town halls, which are arranged by his campaign. As election season returns. so does the debate over the way candidates communicate with voters. . .Roskam, of Wheaton, has been in office since 2007 and conducts tele-town halls once a month. The system auto-dials people in the district and invites them to join the call to listen or get in a queue for the chance to ask a question. While there is generally a specific topic assigned for each event, Roskam does not limit the questions to the theme. In a typical call, about a dozen people get the chance to ask questions. The calls allow Roskam’s office to “reach people where they are, in their homes, while maintaining the one-on-one, personal interactions,” according to Roskam’s office. Roskam has taken calls from both supporters and critics during the forums, which are arranged via his campaign website, roskamforcongress.com. “In these meetings, we engage in open dialogue where they share their perspective,” Roskam said. “Reasonable people can disagree, and I’ve met with people from all different walks of life holding many different views on any number of issues.” Roskam’s challenger in the November election, Democrat Sean Casten, a businessman from Downers Grove, is pushing the sitting congressman to engage in more public in-person forums. Instead, Roskam quickly called for a series of debates the day after Casten was declared winner of the March Democratic primary. . .U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren has conducted meetings with veterans and other town halls, including one in St. Charles last year that attracted about 750 supporters and opponents. But Cindy Mundell, a 67-year-old Naperville resident, has lobbied Hultgren of Plano, to hold more in-person town halls. “He is supposed to be listening to and representing us,” Mundell said. “He claims the majority of his constituents approve the way he votes, and I feel that is unlikely.” Democrat Lauren Underwood is challenging Hultgren in the general election.)

— The expensive risk College of DuPage has placed on taxpayers – Editorial (DIERSEN: How bad do your critics/opponents paint you as being? My critics/opponents paint me as being far worse than Breuder. Of course, they side with my Democrat superiors in the federal government and all the adverse actions that they took against me. My Democrat superiors in the federal government spent far more taxpayer dollars than $527,600 to waste my career and to get rid of me.)
http://www.dailyherald.com/discuss/20180428/editorial-the-expensive-risk-college-of-dupage-has-placed-on-taxpayers-
(FROM THE ARTICLE: It was almost three years ago that we warned that the College of DuPage Board was risking the public’s money in what we described as its “obsessive and oddly venomous” fixation with the destruction of onetime-president Robert Breuder. While allowing that reasonable people could disagree with Breuder’s style and performance, we also noted that his successor Joseph Collins conceded the controversies that enveloped him were “exaggerated” and his board nemesis Kathy Hamilton acknowledged they were “political.” . . .The legal case has yet to play out so theoretically, we suppose, the college could still win that gamble. But as of our latest tabulation in January, the college’s legal bills in the case had already reached $527,600 and who knows if that’s all of it. Transparency, thy name has not been COD when it comes to all the costs. What we do know is that those bills are going to climb considerably higher. And if the college loses, it not only would be on the hook for whatever damages Breuder wins but most likely also his legal bills as well as the college’s. It’s possible the college’s insurance will pay much of the legal bills. Comforting, although if so, it undoubtedly would affect its future premiums. But it’s also possible its insurer could end up challenging its responsibility if it’s found that the college egregiously mistreated Breuder.)

http://www.dailyherald.com/business/20180428/analysis-facebooks-handpicked-watchdogs-gave-it-high-marks-for-privacy
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Facebook’s mishandling of its users’ personal information prompted stiff penalties from the U.S. government in 2011 — including a requirement that the social giant submit to regular privacy checkups for the next two decades. However, Facebook got to handpick its own reviewers, global accounting firm PwC, which didn’t appear to catch marketers, political consultants and malicious actors as they tapped public and private profile data on Facebook without users’ permission or knowledge, even years after the social giant’s first major privacy mishap.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: New polling released by Casten’s campaign on Wednesday indicated that the race appears to be a dead heat, with Roskam polling at 45 percent to Casten’s 44. And when it comes to Casten’s finances, Republicans are already on the attack. “Sean Casten using his daddy’s money to ensure that a qualified female candidate has no shot to make it out of a primary is both unoriginal and deeply concerning,” National Republican Congressional Committee spokeswoman Maddie Anderson said in a statement. “In the so-called ‘year of the woman’ – it’s a shame that Casten resorted to attacking Kelly Maseski using dark money once he realized his own message wasn’t enough to carry him across the finish line,” she added.)

What do you say to my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes who have always demonized, denigrated, and condemned all the jobs that I have had as being bad, but nevertheless, that I was grossly overpaid? I did yard work and delivered newspapers 1962-1964; washed dishes 1964-1966; cleaned golf shoes, chipped slag, and pumped gasoline in 1966; delivered mail 1966-1969; worked on an automobile assembly line and as a security guard in 1970; sold tires, automotive services, and major appliances 1970-1971; pumped gasoline 1971-1972; collected delinquent taxes 1971-1980; and audited federal agencies 1980-1997. I should a book about my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes who hint/imply/argue/shout that because they are FAR SUPERIOR TO ME, they never would have had to take the bad jobs that I took.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) wants you to have a good job. He wants everyone to have a good job. In fact, he wants to guarantee it, and he’s followed Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.) and Cory Booker (N.J.), two other potential Democratic presidential hopefuls, in proposing some sort of program to provide a highly paid job with the federal government to every American who wants one. Unlike other ideas gaining vogue on the left, this actually seems vaguely centrist in its premise, despite its venerable socialist history. Democrats, after all, are the party of big entitlement spending, and Republicans are the party that says “Get a job!” If you smash those two things together, you get something that sounds kind of . . . moderate. At least until you get into the details. Those details, unfortunately, are a devil. Sanders wants the government to provide guaranteed jobs at $15 an hour, plus benefits. His office did not, a representative demurely told Post reporter Jeff Stein, yet have cost estimates for this proposal.)

REPUBLICAN NEWS WATCH
— GOP Misfits in Illinois Undermine President Trump’s Minority Outreach – DOUG IBENDAHL
http://republicannewswatch.com/wp/?p=14460
(FROM THE ARTICLE: “What do you have to lose by trying something new?” – Donald J. Trump That was a question then-candidate Donald Trump regularly repeated on the campaign trail. It was part of a message he regularly directed specifically to African Americans. The obvious point being that black voters were being betrayed and taken for granted by politicians of the past like Hillary Clinton. This President is serious about rebuilding America and restoring economic opportunity to all, regardless of race or creed. And it’s not just rhetoric. We’re witnessing the results on a daily basis. Donald Trump is a man of his word. I wish we could stop there and declare to black citizens in Illinois that everything is fine. Just hold on, help is on the way. Unfortunately, we can’t. While our President is literally working night and day to make us proud again of Republican leadership, some local yokels in Illinois – actually let’s call them what they are, failed misfits – are actively undermining our President’s positive work and destroying the Republican brand in Illinois. I’ll give you just the latest illustration by telling the story of what I witnessed at a GOP event last week in Chicago. Last Wednesday, April 18, each of the 102 counties in Illinois held a Republican county convention. Every two years this is where the county GOP chair and other county party officers are picked. And every 4 years, this being one of those years, the county conventions are also the place where under the easily rigged system only the Illinois Republican Party uses, the 18 members of the state central committee (“SCC”) are picked. One member is selected from each of the state’s U.S. congressional districts. The SCC is the State GOP’s senior governing board and its members pick the state party chairman. The current state chair is Governor Rauner flunky, Tim Schneider of suburban Cook County.)

Further, I have enough time (10+ hours a day, 70+ hours a week, 300+ hours a month, 3,650+ hours a year, 36,500+ hours a decade) and money (thousands of dollars each year) to put the emails together and send them out each and every morning and each and every evening free of charge and without any advertising. Coleman (DIERSEN: The federal government requires all it employees to take lots of diversity and cultural sensitivity training. The training glorifies and praises those who are NOT Protestant, NOT conservative, NOT patriotic, NOT Republican, NOT American, NOT White, NOT male, NOT older, NOT rich, NOT gun owners, NOT German American, and those whose ancestors have NOT been in America for a long time.)
http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/lake-county-news-sun/news/ct-lns-waukegan-60-diversity-st-0421-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The teacher, who is white, retold the rhyme, using the racial slur, during a February vocabulary lesson, Alajakis said. A student then reported the teacher’s use of the slur to the school principal, Alajakis said. The teacher was pulled from the classroom during an investigation into the matter, and later temporarily suspended, Alajakis said. He also was ordered to take cultural sensitivity training and moved to another building, Alajakis said. The teacher has not yet completed the training because the district is still working to identify a course, Alajakis said. Nevertheless, the incident is emblematic of a larger problem at Waukegan District 60, retired Waukegan administrator Harlene Shipley said. District officials should place a greater focus on cultural diversity training so that teachers can better understand their pupils, Shipley said. As another example, Shipley also pointed to a group of former Waukegan High School students who had addressed the school board in February about providing training and specialized resources aimed at students living in the country without legal permission. They also spoke about district staff not understanding them and what they’re going through, Shipley said. If teachers underwent diversity and cultural awareness training they would be less likely to speak insensitively, to know where potential pitfalls existed and to find educational opportunities in cultural items such as the new “Black Panther” movie, Shipley said.)

(FROM THE LETTER: Reports suggest that Gov. Bruce Rauner spent almost $37 million in his primary race to defeat Jeanne Ives. It appears clear that, regardless of whoever wins in November, the next governor will be a considerably less-wealthy multimillionaire than the candidate who started the race. I would suggest that instead of spending countless millions on radio and TV ads, polling data and opponent research, we post the Illinois governorship on eBay. The job appears headed to the highest bidder anyway.)

http://www.dailyherald.com/discuss/20180421/the-tax-bill-double-whammy
(FROM THE LETTER: It is ironic that the master architect of the tax cut, who significantly reduced the popular property tax deduction in the first place, would now promote himself as a champion of taxpayers’ rights. His use of taxpayer dollars to fund his self-promotion campaign is a double whammy for District 6 constituents. Roskam is tone deaf to his constituents’ views. Why does he think that all of those people waited in long lines at the end of the year to prepay property taxes? Maybe he thinks they had nothing better to do with their time during the holidays. What about the many families in District 6 that couldn’t prepay property taxes even if they wanted to. Who has an extra $10,000 or more lying around for this kind of expenditure when they are saving for their children’s college, a 401(K), or possibly even their mortgage payment?)

SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS NEWS
— Ballot hijinks lead Southern Illinois Republicans to challenge party leadership vote – W.J. Kennedy
https://seillinoisnews.com/stories/511395529-ballot-hijinks-lead-southern-illinois-republicans-to-challenge-party-leadership-vote
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Governor Rauner and his hand-picked state GOP Chairman Timothy Schneider are declaring victory in Southern Illinois. But did they actually win? State party officials claim Southern Illinois Republicans voted for a new state central committeeman yesterday, replacing longtime incumbent, former legislator Bob Winchester of Rosiclare with State Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet). Rose supports Schneider for another four year term; Winchester does not. But county chairmen say an examination of the vote count shows Rose didn’t win and that the fix was in. They’re promising to challenge what they say are manipulated results. “Rauner’s people showed their true colors yesterday,” a source told SE Illinois News. “They’re glad to cheat to win.” “This has made us even more bitter” In the balance is one of 18 spots on the State Republican Party Central Committee, which governs the party and exerts influence up and down the ballot. On Wednesday, GOP precinct committeemen voted to elect their county chairmen and the state central committee members, who will convene in May to choose a party chairman. Schneider recruited Rose to challenge Winchester, a Rauner critic representing Southern IIlinois’ 15 Congressional District, which includes 33 counties. Winchester supported State Rep. Jeanne Ives (R-Wheaton) in the March primary. “Many of us were already bitter and this has made us even more bitter,” Rhonda Belford, Hardin County GOP Chair, told SE Illinois News. “Bob Winchester stood tall for southern Illinois and all of Illinois, and this is how they treat him.” Belford said that some of her fellow county chairmen were offered financial rewards by Schneider. Others were threatened with retribution if they didn’t support Rose over Winchester. “They know not what they do,” she said. “This is all about money, but it’s the wrong kind of money, and in the end it’s probably not going to win them the race anyway.” Winner takes all? Mark Shaw, State Central Committeeman from Lake County’s 10th congressional district, said that he is concerned that some counties may have voted by acclamation, a procedural move that would have given Rose 100 percent of the vote when he may have received just over 50 percent. Shaw, who grew up in Mt. Carmel in Wabash County, said that voting by acclamation could be a violation of state law and some legal action may be in order. Results do show that Winchester received zero votes in nine of 33 counties, including four of the ten most populated, a result that Shaw and others said would be an impossibility. Several counties, sources tell SE Illinois News, didn’t even offer Winchester as a candidate for consideration. In Fayette County, home to Rauner Downstate Director Randy Pollard, Winchester was not presented as an option, sources say. “Pollard asked for a voice vote by acclamation for Chapin (Rose) and just moved on,” a source said. “He didn’t even mention Winchester was a candidate, much less the incumbent.” Rose also received zero votes in 13 counties carried 100 percent by Winchester. In all, 22 of 33 counties voted by acclamation, representing 63 percent of Rose’s vote and 59 percent of Winchester’s. County votes are weighted based on their respective turn-out in the March primary. “There are a lot of irregularities here,” Shaw said. “We want to see the raw data on a precinct level presented to the party.” The Shimkus Machine Aides to U.S. Rep. John Shimkus (R-Collinsville) actively recruited Rose to challenge Winchester, offering to help him replace Shimkus in Congress when the opportunity presents itself, sources say. Sources in Madison County, Shimkus’ home which carries the second-largest weighted vote in the district, say that when they, too, voted by acclamation for Winchester, a lawyer volunteer for Shimkus present protested and said acclamation votes were not legal. Shimkus’ District Director, Deb Detmers Fansler, then threatened Madison County precinct committee members by phone. Madison County submitted each candidate’s vote totals to the state GOP, sources say, along with the caveat that they voted by acclamation to deliver all of them to Winchester, who won 59 percent of the actual vote. State GOP officials didn’t include Madison County’s acclamation vote in their official totals; it would have meant Winchester won re-election by 644 votes. Chicago GOP Chairman Chris Cleveland said he would push to see the actual vote data as well. “This was a very contentious election, and it’s important that we have full transparency in the results,” Cleveland said. “That means complete, precinct-level reporting that we can verify.”)

https://chicago.suntimes.com/cannabis/pols-high-on-marijuana-legalization-hope-to-clear-the-air-on-4-20-pot-holiday/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: On Thursday, Healthy & Productive Illinois, a “marijuana policy group” that has argued against legalization, released its own study. The group argues it would cost the state $670.5 million a year to legalize pot, outweighing annual estimated tax revenue projections of about $566 million. They’re not the only ones not joining the party. Gov. Bruce Rauner told a Downstate TV station in December that it would be a “mistake” to legalize marijuana in Illinois. The Republican governor has, in the past, said he wants more studies on the “ramifications” in states that have legalized the drug. “I do not support legalizing marijuana. I think that’s a mistake. You know there’s a massive, human experiment going on in Colorado, and California, other places. We should see how that’s impacted lives and addiction and hurt young people before we make any decision about it here,” Rauner said in an interview on WSIL in Marion. “I do not support legalizing marijuana.” Still, Rauner instituted a medical marijuana pilot program that started doling out weed to patients in 2015. And Rauner last year signed a bill that decriminalized the possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana, making it a ticketable offense subject to fines of $100 to $200.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Bush offered his own prescription for challenging a “poisonous” political environment that he said is “disproportionately located in ZIP codes around Washington, D.C.” “First, voters should penalize rather than reward politicians irrespective of their party that use racist language or call people Nazis or disparage the disabled or make fun of people in order to push someone down to make themselves look better,” he said to loud applause. “That should be a penalty.” Public figures, Bush said, should be held to a higher ethical standard, regardless of party allegiance. “Bad behavior and the kind of language that we accept today, or the kind of actions that we find intolerable for someone we don’t agree with, should have the exact same response to someone that’s on your team,” he said. ” … Right now, we’re so hyperpartisan that if it’s a Democrat doing something outrageous, Republicans are just righteously there to attack, but if it’s a Republican, you hear nothing and vice versa. “To challenge this notion, sometimes bad behavior is just bad behavior.”)
