— ALL OF THE FRONT PAGE: DIERSEN HEADLINE: Those who run the Chicago Sun-Times say “Our independent, award-winning journalism lives on.”  However, ever-increasingly, the Chicago Sun-Times acts like it is an arm of the Democrat Party. How independent are your news sources?  You should know where their money comes from and how much.  He who pays the piper calls the tunes. All news sources should be required to disclose the source and amount of all of their income.  They should also disclose the real source and amount of all income laundered through third, fourth, fifth, etc. parties.  All my money comes from the Civil Service Retirement System ($50,856/year) and Social Security ($2,028/year).  My critics/opponent are beyond furious that they cannot take that income away from me. Ever-increasingly, they make it clear that they will use their tremendous religious, government, political, and/or financial clout in Wheaton, in Glen Ellyn, in Milton Township, in DuPage County, and in Illinois to viciously destroy me and any individual, any organization, any company, or any government that might come to my defense.)

Ed Levato was township supervisor when the referendum was placed on the ballot after a successful petition drive organized by a group of residents. He said Monday that township staff members were simply misinformed when they told a Daily Herald reporter before the election that the ballot question was advisory. “They were not given any information about it,” he said. “It wasn’t our referendum. It was a citizens’ initiative.” Levato apologized for the miscommunication. He said he personally didn’t support the measure. “It’s a huge tax increase,” Levato said. According to preliminary estimates, owners of homes valued at $240,000 would pay about $56 a year in property taxes to support the mental health board.
