— Kathy Salvi, Bob Grogan, Scott Gryder, and Lawrence Stowe are candidates for Illinois Republican Party (IRP) chairman. The 17 IRP State Central Committee (SCC) members will cast their weighted votes on Monday, May 18, in Springfield. The three IRP SCC members with the greatest weighted vote are Zach Emberton (15th CD) with 16.5%, Rhonda Belford (12th CD) with 15.9%, and Jim Rule (16th CD) with 10.2%. Other IRP SCC members include Grogan (6th CD) with 5.9%, Aaron Del Mar (5th CD) with 3.3%, and Mike Flynn (3rd CD) with 2.7%.  Which candidate will your IRP SCC member vote for and why? In 2005, as an Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member, I organized a candidate forum in Springfield the evening before the day the IRP SCC elected Andy McKenna as the IRP chairman. Participants in that forum were John Cox, Stephen McGlynn, McKenna, and Jim Nalepa. Jim Oberweis wanted to participate, but could not. — What do your critics/opponents charge you with the most? My critics/opponents charge me the most with being “too conservative.” According to them, Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct lose elections because I paint them in my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters as being more conservative than they want to be. According to my critics/opponents, to win elections in Illinois, Republican candidates have to be “Democrat Lite,” that is, they have to dump the personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration, anti-vice, Second Amendment, equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving), and other planks in the Republican Party platform. – Dave Diersen

— Ever since my Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire when I was 49 in 1997, to discourage/stop me from running for a government office or for a political office, my critics/opponents in Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois have done everything that they could to destroy me. They most feared that I would run for DuPage County Auditor a) because I had worked for GAO as an Analyst for almost 18 years, the last 11 years of which at the GS-13 Step 1-10 levels, currently $118,984-$154,682/year, b) because I had worked for IRS for almost 9 years before that, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 Levels, currently $100,059-$113,402/year, c) because had I passed the CPA examination and the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt, d) because I had become a licensed CPA, e) because I had become a certified fraud examiner, government financial manager, financial services auditor, and forensic accountant, and f) because I had master’s degrees in business, accounting, and finance. I should write about my critics/opponents in Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois and the many big adverse actions that have had their operatives and their dupes take against me. — FRONT PAGE: There Is a Fire Sale on MBAs. With applications down, more business schools are offering discounts. DD: If I had not been taking evening MBA courses at Loyola, the Democrats who ran IRS would not have promoted me in 1972, 1973, and 1974. But by the time I earned an MBA from Loyola in 1976, they had gotten rid of the IRS manager who had promoted me those three times. They ignored/dismissed/belittled my earning that MBA just like they ignored/dismissed/belittled my passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979.
