On Wednesday night, Vance wrote on social media that his relationship with Vance began several years ago after he appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox News. Kirk reached out to compliment him, “and that moment of kindness began a friendship” Last year, Kirk advocated for Vance to be Donald Trump’s choice for vice president and frequently checked in on his family. — FRONT PAGE TOP OF FOLD: Student enrollment at Illinois’ regional universities is plummeting. Under the Democrats and under the RINOs, demographics trump everything. I earned a) a bachelor’s degree when I was 21, b) master’s degrees when I was 27, 31, and 48, c) professional certifications when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 46, and 48, and d) a professional license when I was 32 I spent a tremendous amount of time and money doing the aforesaid. But could I find the motivation to do the aforesaid if I was young today? From what I see, fewer and fewer and fewer of those share demographics seek college degrees, professional certifications, and professional licenses. From what I see, it is because of ever-increasing Affirmative Action and DEI, that is, it is because of ever-increasing race and gender based preference giving, patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, religious discrimination, and national origin discrimination. Young people with my demographics ever-increasingly believe that it is not only not worth the effort, but that it is impossible. From what I see, ever-increasingly, America is up-or-out for those who share my demographics. If you share my demographics, you are written off and gotten rid of if you are not making say $150,000+/year by age 25, $200,000+/year by age 30, $250,000+/year by age 35, $400,000+/year by age 40, etc. In the federal government, the earnings deadlines are $117,807 by age 25, $139,211 by age 30, $163,749 by age 35, and $195,200 by age 40. Extremely few of those who share my demographics are able to meet those earnings deadlines. Because of my demographics and because I did not make any of the aforesaid earnings deadlines, my Democrat superiors in the federal government wasted my career and got rid of me.

Dan Ugaste and Posen Park District Supervisor Phil Perez toyed with the idea, neither will run for governor in 2026. Mendrick, a law-and-order candidate, has raised just $127,000 since he announced in February, according to filings with the state. Dabrowski and Del Mar, who are better known around the state for their work in policy and politics, would likely have an easier time raising funds. Del Mar is recognized in party circles across the state as he’s a former co-chair of the Illinois GOP and current Cook County Republican chair who ran as lieutenant governor alongside Gary Rabine in 2022. Dabrowski is president of Wirepoints Corp., the conservative-leaning media company. While he lacks campaign experience, he’s a former banking executive and policy wonk whose fiscal message could resonate at a time of economic uncertainty. Severino has made two unsuccessful bids for Congress, first as a Republican and then as an Independent.
